Chapter 4

Olivia woke up to a kiss. "Hmmmm I missed that. How are you this morning?" Trevor looked at her, "I'm good and you're sexy, but also naked. We have a kid in the house. We really need to plan sex better." Olivia laughed, "She's asleep and has friends to text and keep her occupied." Trevor kissed her again. "You are trying to seduce me this morning." He snatched her sheet and left her naked on the bed. Olivia ran to the bathroom to get ready.

Trevor knocked on Ana's door and heard a sleepy answer, "Yeah." He opened the door, "If you hurry up and get dressed, you can help me make breakfast. Your choice." Ana flew in the bathroom. She came out dressed in 15 minutes flat. "Wow! Liv told me you weren't an eater." Ana smiled, "I want pancakes." Trevor pulled out the ingredients, "Fine easy, but you find pan. I don't live here."

When Olivia walked down the hall and saw Ana wasn't in her room. She followed the laughing all the way to the kitchen. "You two having fun?" Trevor held up a plate, "Sit and eat. I'm in charge of breakfast and dishes." Ana threw her hands up, "Yes!" Olivia ate the pancakes, "Ummm, these are good. Are you cooking every morning?" He sat down at the bar, "You wish." Trevor did the dishes, "Ok! That was fun and I'm late, but it was worth it. See you two tonight."

Olivia told Ana to get her things together, "Don't forget your cord." Amanda came early, since Ana was awake. She even brought Christian. "Ana, look who I found in the hall." They sat and laughed for a good 30 minutes. Olivia was happy that Ana was happy. Once Alex got there they headed out. Elliot, Mia, and Lucy were in the lobby, "Good morning!" Lucy and Elliot were holding hands. Ana turned to Amanda and Christian, "Are they dating?" Christian shook his head, "Yeah just be glad you don't have to share a room with Elliot. And oh my gosh, now that she's staying with us, she'll be pregnant in a month."

The three of them giggled and talked while Alex and Olivia talked to Lucy about watching the girls. Amanda asked, "You have the biggest house in the building, why are you two sharing a room?" Christian sighed, "It's a punishment for not getting along. My dad says it will force us to work together. Speaking of the building, Ana we have to give you the tour." Amanda was excited, "Yeah Ana! We have a game room, exercise room, sauna, basketball court, and the best is the pool on the rooftop. Summer will be amazing." Ana's eyes lit up, "A pool on the rooftop?" Amanda shook her head, "Yeah were in the middle of the city, so that's where they are in buildings." Ana smiled, "I love the pool. When does it open?" Christian spoke up, "Memorial Day, it is still cool, but the pool is heated. We also have an indoor pool if you want to swim now." Ana remembered, "I need a bathing suit."

When they finished talking, everyone headed to their own cars. When they reached the precinct and Olivia went to work and so did Ana. Olivia was talking to Fin about a new case and her phone rang, "Benson." It was Trevor and he didn't have good news. "Liv they're gone. Apparently Ana may have had a reason for that bad feeling about Ray." Olivia was silent as she listened. "He was gambling Liv, fired from his company job. The police had been to the house several times for disturbances. Apparently they argued a lot. He took money. The police were involved. The only thing they couldn't touch was Ana's trust fund. Her real father's parents had it done, once he died and she was born. It took some digging, but Carla kept them away from Ana. She gets it when she turns 18. Liv are you ok?"

Olivia was shocked, "I don't know what to say. I'm shocked, but I guess I shouldn't be. I didn't really know her or Ray. I didn't know Ana and I went to get her. They are my family. Trevor do I tell her?" Trevor asked, "Well that depends if you think she can handle it Liv. The only other option is to lie to her. I'm so sorry babe. Hey I'm going to look into this Vegas situation right now, but Seattle was a bust." Olivia thanked him and promised to call later. Fin was staring at her only being able to hear one side of the conversation. Fin wasn't the only one listening. Ana got up when she heard Olivia on the phone talking about her.

"What's up Liv?" Olivia looked, "I haven't been able to contact my sister or her husband. They just split. Apparently they lied to me and her. I haven't told Ana, but I need to now." Fin was concerned, "Do you think they will come back and get her?" Ana's eyes opened wide, because she couldn't go back. She didn't give herself away just yet. She stepped out to see what their reaction would be. They both stopped talking immediately and that was all Ana needed. Olivia smiled, "Ana, do you need me?" Ana trusted her and loved her, but she wasn't going back to her mom and Ray. "I'm just going to the bathroom Aunt Liv."

Olivia wasn't sure about something. It was her calmness that bothered her, and right when she was about to say something, her phone rang again. She held up her finger, "Benson…Hold please." She turned her attention to Ana, "Come right back, because I need to talk to you." Ana just shook her yes. She walked away with tears in her eyes. She went past the bathrooms and right to the elevator. She knew she didn't have long, she needed to get out of there. She reached the street and looked both ways, then at her phone, "Shit no WiFi. Damn you mom."

Ana started walking, but she didn't know where she was at all. She thought she messed up, and when she turned around to see how far she went, a biker hit her pushing her down. "Ouch my leg!" The biker hopped off and grabbed her. Ana was scared, "Don't hurt me! Get away!" The biker was young and people started looking, "I'm not! I swear I just want to help!" Ana covered her face, scared and embarrassed. It was almost fate when she heard a familiar voice, "Ana are you ok?" Ana looked up, "Mr. Grey?"

He smiled, "Hey! What are you doing out here by yourself?" Ana took a deep breath, because she was in big trouble. She shrugged and he helped her up, "You have nasty cut on your leg, it ripped your jeans. How about we go see Grace?" They grabbed a cab and headed to her office. "It's not too far, but I won't make you walk until she looks at it." Ana wanted to tell him to call Olivia, but she knew she was in so much trouble. "Where is your Aunt Liv, Ana? She doesn't take me as the type to let you on the street like that. You're too young." They pulled up at a building and got out, "She doesn't know, because I left the precinct. I know she's worried."

Carrick carried her into the doctor's office and she saw a couple of people and kids in the waiting room. "Hi Mr. Grey!" He smiled, "I need to go back and see my wife please." She waved them in. As soon as the door opened she saw Grace. "Ana, what happened?" Carrick explained what he knew and all Ana could do was hang her head and listen. "Come on sweetheart, let me check you out." Carrick explained he needed to get back to work and told Ana, "You're tough as nails to take a bike hit, but stay off the streets. Bye."

Once Ana was on the examination table, Grace pulled out her phone, "I've got to call her. I know she's worried sick." Ana shook her head, "Can you put it on speaker so I can tell how mad she is?" Grace said yes and dialed, "Benson!" Ana could hear the fear and worry in her voice, "Olivia, it's Grace. I have her and she's safe." All Ana heard was relief in her voice, "Thank God!" Grace told her she was on speaker phone. "Ana, what were you thinking? Do you know how dangerous that was and how worried I was?" Ana didn't talk, she just cried, so Grace told her what happened. "I'm on my way Grace. Ana, calm down. You are in trouble, but I'm so glad you're safe." Ana finally spoke, "I'm sorry Aunt Liv. I love you."

Grace didn't know why she ran, "I'll take good care of her." Grace cut her jeans off at the knee. "I hope these aren't your favorite." She watched Ana's face squint each time she cleaned the wound more and more. "Why did you runaway sweetheart?" Ana told her what she heard and that's why. "I don't want to be with my mom or Ray. I want to stay here. Dr. Grey…" She kept cleaning, "You can call me Grace." Ana jerked, "Ouch! Grace I know more than Aunt Liv thinks I know."

Just then a nurse opened the door and Olivia was behind her, "Oh Ana! Don't you ever do that again. We will be having a long talk tonight." Grace smiled, "You became a parent quick. Kids are something aren't they." Grace finally got it all cleaned up, "Ok since you are partly to blame, you hold the pressure down." Ana looked at the cut, "Ummmm please say no stitches." Olivia laughed, "Stitch it anyway!" Ana's mouth opened, "Aunt Liv!" Olivia kissed her forehead, "You don't need stitches, but you will be changing a bandage after every shower."

Olivia couldn't wait and Grace was her friend, so it didn't matter what she heard. "Why did you run away?" Ana wasn't going to lie, "I heard talking on the phone and to Fin. I didn't want to go back with my mom." Olivia held her hands up, "So you looked right at me and lied. And I didn't say anything about you going back." Ana felt bad, "I thought when you said you couldn't reach her, they would come for me. I'm sorry." Ana knew things, but she was also just a kid. Processing the situation was much harder. Olivia shook her head, "Yeah, your butt will be sorry too." Ana frowned, "Grace maybe if you give me stitches, you can save my butt." They both laughed.

Ana got off the table and looked at her bandaged leg. Grace pulled Olivia to the side, "You need to talk to her, she told me she knows more than you know." Olivia hugged her, "Please thank Carrick for me." Grace looked at Ana, "Hey you! I wrapped it tight. I will stop by after work to look at it again." Ana smiled and waved goodbye.

Olivia called Trevor, he needed to know what happened, "Hey I need you at the house." Trevor agreed to meet them there, "I'll bring pizza for lunch." Olivia and Ana got to the house first, "Aunt Liv are you going to spank me?" Olivia didn't even blink, "Oh yeah I am, but we will talk first." When Trevor got there, it was too quiet, "I'm home! Pizza's here." Olivia came out of the room, "Hey babe. Ana! Come on and eat something."

Trevor asked, "How's she doing?" Olivia shrugged, "She's been quiet, but she knows she's in trouble. Especially after I told her she was getting a spanking." Ana didn't learn the first time, she was listening again. "I just want to be honest with her. She was listening and jumped to conclusions. I need her to know she can talk to me, but that stunt she pulled today, totally unacceptable. Trevor do you know what could have happened to her?" Ana knew she was wrong big time. She needed to trust her Aunt. Ana walked in and sat at the table.

They ate and talked about what was going on. Olivia and Trevor were honest with her, "Ana they lied to me and we can't find them." Trevor reported everything he knew. Ana finally spoke, I knew they did bad things. I know where the house is in Vegas. I can give the address and the key." Trevor asked for it and Ana went in her book bag. She pulled out keys and some other papers. She handed over everything to Trevor. She trusted him too. Trevor looked at the paperwork.

He passed the address to Olivia. When he flipped through the rest of it, "Ana, do you know what this is?" Olivia looked at Ana waiting for an answer, "Yes sir. It's a copy of trust and my investments. The card clipped to the top are my advisors." Olivia was floored, "Ana, how do you know that?"

Ana sighed, "When I was 10, an older lady used to watch me on the playground in our neighborhood. First she started watching me and then she talked to me. She asked where my mom was and she said I was too young to be there alone." Olivia scoffed, "She was right about that." Ana continued, "I told her I liked to play. So she was there every day. She packed snacks and pushed me on the swings." Trevor finally asked, "Ana, who was the lady?" Ana smiled, "My grandmother."

They were both in shock. "She showed me a picture of my real dad. She never said my mom was a bad person, but she didn't like Ray at all. She thought he brainwashed my mom. She also told me they were never allowed to see me. She told me she loved me and I had my dad's eyes. She explained all of that", Ana said pointing to the paperwork. "She said, even though I was too young to understand all of it, it was in a safe place. She told me my mom and Ray knew about the trust, but could never touch it. She had other stuff for me, but explained it was in a vault. I asked her for the picture, but she told me no because she didn't want them to find it."

Olivia moved closer to her, "Baby, why have you been holding this in. Everything makes more sense now. That's when you started acting up." Ana shook her head, "She liked you Aunt Liv." Olivia looked, "Me?" Ana shook her head, "Yeah she met you and me when I was 3. She asked me if I saw you a lot. I told her you called, but you lived in New York. She told me if anything really bad ever happened, to tell you. My mom and Ray never really did anything to me, except…" Ana had a secret, but she didn't want to tell. Olivia was concerned, "Except what?" Ana just said, "I knew they weren't good people." Olivia thought Ana wasn't telling her everything.

Trevor folded the papers back the way Ana had them, "No I trust you both to keep them for me." Olivia looked at her, "Ana, I'm sorry that they made you be a grown up too fast. I'm sorry they didn't take care of you the way they should have. They should have let you know your family. We won't just let them come and take you. From what we know, I don't see that happening. They are both in a lot of trouble." Ana was smart, but she wasn't an adult so she didn't understand everything. Olivia knew once Trevor explained everything, that if they did show up, it meant serious jail time.

Olivia turned very serious. "Ana, what happened today, can't happen again. We won't lie to you, even though sometimes we don't tell you right away. I guess it's just our way of trying to protect you." Trevor tried to help, "Ana, you said you trust us right?" Ana shook her head, "I do trust you, both of you." Trevor smiled, "Good! So from now on, if you are scared or unsure, talk to us, but absolutely no more running." Olivia's phone rang and it was Grace. "Hello! Ok great, thanks and see you soon."

Trevor went to call a friend and Olivia set her phone down, "Grace is leaving work. She needs you to take a shower, so she can check your leg and wrap it again." Ana went to shower and Trevor sat beside Olivia. "What do you think about going to Vegas and checking out the house?" Olivia looked at him like he was crazy. "Just pick up and go?" Trevor shook his head, "Yep, I just got two tickets for us." Olivia smiled, "That's nice, but you forgot one thing, we have a kid." Trevor smiled back, "Actually, I didn't. Grace and Carrick are taking her. We need to check it out."

Sure enough when Grace arrived, she knew the plan. "Look who I found." Alex, Amanda, Dominick, and Christian were there to see Ana. "She's in her room." Grace told Olivia, "I don't mind. She can sit in my office and do schoolwork." Ana, Christian, Dominick, and Amanda came out, "What's going on?" Olivia explained that she and Trevor were going to Vegas and check out the situation. "You are going to stay with Grace." Amanda shouted, "I want to stay too!" Alex said, "Absolutely not, you have school." Grace smiled, while Amanda pouted, "Alex my kids have school too, she can stay with us. It will probably help Ana." Grace wrapped her leg back and said it looked good. Christian who should have been excited about the staying over part, just had a scowl on his face. They had a plan and everyone said goodnight.

Once everyone was gone Olivia continued talking to Ana, "Go back to your room and I'll be in there soon." Ana knew what that meant, "Yes ma'am." When she went to her room she texted Christian, "I guess you're mad at me too." She saw dots, but no response, then he FaceTimed her, "Hey." Ana couldn't look at him, "Ana, you could have really been hurt." Ana giggled, "I did get hurt. Remember my leg, but don't worry, now it's going to be my ass. Aunt Liv is going to tear me up." Christian scoffed, "Good!" They were both silent. "Ana, I'm sorry. I just don't ever want you to do that again. I'll see you tomorrow ok?"

Ana gave a small smile and hung up. Then she heard a knock on the door, "Come in." Olivia walked in with a big wooden ruler. Ana gulped, "Are you going to spank with that?" Olivia shook her head, "You want my belt instead?" Ana quickly said, "No ma'am." Olivia explained enough and she wanted it to be over with. It was almost like she was being punished. "Let's go, hands right there." Ana tried to prolong it, "How many hits?" Olivia sighed, "10 so turn around now."

The first hit was more of the shock hitting Ana. Last time she had on jeans, but this time were thin sleep pants. "Whack, whack, whack, whack!" By hit number 5 they were coming so fast and all Ana could be thankful for was that it wasn't the belt. It was starting to sting and bad. "Whack!" The sixth hit brought Ana turning around asking her to stop. "Ok Aunt Liv! I'm sorry." Olivia told her she didn't get to call the shots on this punishment. "Turn around." By hit 10 Ana was crying and hopping around like a toddler holding her butt.

"Are you ever going to pull this again?" Through the sniffling and tears Olivia heard a "No ma'am." Neither one of them knew what to do. Olivia had no experience as a parent and Ana always did what she wanted without any consequences. Olivia's heart broke seeing her crying so she hugged her. "Me punishing you doesn't mean I don't care or love you. I do, probably more than you'll ever know. Come here." She hugged Ana and rubbed her back, "Time for bed ok." She put Ana to bed and went to her room.

Trevor looked up from his phone, "You tore her up." Olivia rolled her eyes, "Thanks babe, that helps me." Trevor apologized, "Hey let's relax and watch some TV." They were discussing the trip and what to expect, when Ana arrived at the door. "Aunt Liv can I lay with you?" Olivia waved her in and she slowly walked to the bed, looking at Trevor. "Do you care?" Trevor said, "Nope, but we are watching the news." Ana laughed. After 10 minutes, Ana started feeling heavy on Olivia's body. She nudged Trevor pointing at her head, "Is she asleep?" All Olivia saw was brown hair, "Yeah she's gone." Olivia couldn't move, "She's also dead weight. I thought she was skinny. Can you come get her off and carry her to her bed?" Trevor picked her up and they put her in her bed. They went to bed not knowing what the next couple of days would bring.
