F3: Hello everyone and welcome to chapter 4. In the previous chapter Star wants to find out what is happening in Vacuo and decides that they head toward Kenyte. Meanwhile Carmine has found out something rather interesting about our fox faunus. RWBY is property of Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum along with it's characters. The OC's are property of me. Volume 4-4 Blue: A New Adventure.

As the sun was starting to set on the day Star, May, Mars, and Woody had just finished dinner and were now in the front room of Mars' house as they started to talk.

"So Star. What was Beacon like before this whole thing happened?" Mars asked curiously.

"Well... at first it was rather intimidating to say the least and it's was definitely challenging as well. Right from the start with the initiation." Star said remembering what had happened their.

"Oh? What was the initiation?" Woody asked.

"You stood on a platform away from the others and you are literally launched into the given area. For our case it was the Emerald Forest. You have to bring back a relic from some ruins while also fighting grimm and finding yourself a partner in process." Star added recalling the time she first met Iona.

"And your partner? What's his name?" Mars asked rather curious.

"Her name is Iona Basil and boy let me tell you she certainly knows how to brighten up someones day. But just don't make her mad or she'll bury you six feet under... literally. Though I was rather surprised when we first met." Star said.

"I'm guessing you two met during the initiation process right. Why would you be surprised about that?" May asked.

"Well...you both know how I use to wear a ribbon to cover my ears and hid my tail under my jeans?" Star asked, and the group nods.

"Well our meeting was a literal head on collision... no joke...and my ribbon came off and got stuck in a tree where we were. Though after she retrieved it she didn't even care that I was faunus." Star said which stunned the three of them.

"Wait she didn't even care that you were one. That's... interesting to say the least." Mars added.

"Yeah and she even respected my heritage and I think that took the cake for me having her as a friend." Star said recalling all the times they shared at Beacon though that also made her wonder how Iona was doing after the whole thing at Beacon.

"You must've had other teammates. What about them?" Woody questioned as start gave out a small chuckle.

"Yeah. My other two teammates." She said before whipping out her scroll as she pulled up a picture of the next member. Pepper Orion.

"That's Pepper Orion. When I first met her she'd always had this serious look to her like she was always on high alert. Believe me I don't think even a mouse could get passed this girls nose. She is someone I know I can rely on. Sure she has her own flaws like being scared of enclosed spaces but that just how things are." Star said remembering them both taking down that giant robot on the highway.

Though that just left her last teammate that she didn't even know how to talk about her.

"Then there is... her." Star began not sure how to explain Rina.

"Her? Who'd you mean?" Mars questioned but Woody had a feeling who she was talking about.

"That Rina girl right." Woody said as Star simply gave a gentle nod.

"Honestly... I don't know what to think about her." She started.

"I mean some part of me wants to be angry that she lied to me and the others about who she really is but another wants to find out why she hid herself this whole time." Star said.

"Sometimes even our friends have secrets that they don't like to share. No matter how much they want to tell only they know the reasons why." Woody said wisely before getting up from the seat he was in.

"I'm going to head home. You girls got somewhere your going tomorrow right." He said as they nodded.

"Yeah we're going to the capital in the morning. We want to get an early start so we probably going to bed early. Plus we still need to pack for what's ahead." Mars added.

"Well hope you girls are careful. Just watch each others backs and you'll be fine." Woody said as he headed toward the door.

"Your not coming along." Star replied.

He nodded his head "I wish I could but I've got an errand to run in the morning. It'll take me a bit to get done." Woody added.

"Alright well you have a good night Woody. Stay safe." Mars replied as gave them a gentle nod before leaving the three girls be.

"Okay now that he's gone we need to talk about sleeping arrangements since theirs only three of us." May replied.

"I've got an extra room that you two could share if you want." Mars said.

"Will the hammock be big enough for the two of us?" Star questioned.

"Don't worry about it. It'll work you each will just have to sleep on opposite ends. I also have an extra pair of sleepwear for May here just incase something like this happens." She answered as the three prepared for the night as they first had to pack what they needed for tomorrow.

A few hours past as they finished preparing for tomorrow as they decided it was time to sleep for tomorrow. Like Mars said she had another room ready for May and Star while May was outfitted with a nightwear that was just an navy blue overgrown night gown that went past her knees as Star slipped into hers before calling it a night but she still had a thought about how the rest of her team was doing as she couldn't help but worry about them as sleep took her away.

Morning came as the sun rose upon Corquina as its rays shined into the room where Star and May slept. Star tried to shield her eyes but in was in vain as she eventually got up from her side of the hammock before waking up the other girl on her side.

"C'mon May rise and shine." Star said a little groggy but awake and the beanie wearing girl got up as she stretch her arms hearing a satisfying pop before getting out of the hammock.

"I'll let you change first. Maybe see what Mars is up to this morning then we'll head out to the capital." Star said as she left the room letting May get changed into her outfit. Star decided to check up on Mars seeing what she was doing as she headed downstairs. And with her luck she noticed Mars checking over her two guns but she also seemed to add something else to her arsenal as well.

On her back is a quiver containing arrows. Also on the table is very decorative bow that is red with bronze decoration around it with a bronze grip right in the center of it.

"I see someone is getting ready." Star said getting Mars attention.

"Yeah... it's going to be a first for me leaving Corquina. Though are you sure that we want to do this. I mean your still without your aura but your still willing to go out into the world despite all of that. I just want to make sure that your doing the right thing before we depart." Mars said.

Star simply shook her head "No one can truly do the right thing but if I stood around and did nothing and let people do whatever they want then what kind of a huntress would I be?" Star said.

"Yeah... I guess your right. That being said I've got you a little something their on the table. Something that I think you'll like." Mars said gesturing to the table seeing a bag of clothes in it.

"Your old outfit was more than a little bit worn and torn so while you two were asleep I went out a got you a new outfit. Hope you like it." Mars replied.

Star took the bag of clothes and went to the bathroom and changed into the new outfit that Mars got her.

After ten minutes of changing Star came out with her new attire.

She now wears a dark blue long sleeve jacket that reaches her hips that is normally looks like it was made to be kept open with a light purple crop top underneath showing off her stomach. On the top of the jacket is a buckle that seems to keep the jacket together.

Around her neck are a pair of bronze goggles with a simple black strap. She also wears white colored short shorts that shows off her legs. She also wears tanned colored boots with long black knee high socks. Luckily her tail and ears weren't restricted from anything she was wearing.

"This seems a little much but it'll work." Star said contemplating her new outfit.

"Oh c'mon you're other outfit was getting old and it was starting to rip in some areas. Wouldn't want an embarrassing moment when your out there right." Mars replied.

"Plus it does look good on you anyway. Makes you look like a mercenary." May commented as Star blushed a bit from the comment.

"Yeah but are we packed and ready to go?" Star asked.

Mars nodded her head "Yep. We're all packed and ready. Hope your ready for a lot of walking cause it'll take at least three days for us till we get to the capital." Mars added as she brought out a map of Vacuo.

"We're here in Corquina." She started pointing toward the dot that is their town.

"And here is the capital. That's where we're going." She added pointing toward another dot that was in a mountain range.

"It'll take us a few days to get up their and then we have to do some climbing before we get their." Mars added.

"Well if we leave now we can make it about a third of the way their with the amount of time we have. Then if we leave by daybreak we should be able to make it the rest of the way their and then make our last stop at the base of the mountain range before climbing up to get to the capital." Mars explained.

Star nodded to her explanation liking the idea "Alright. Let's make sure that we're stocked on ammunition just incase we run into grimm along the way cause we're bound to run into some." Star added.

"Not only grimm but bandits as well. Some of them like to make little settlements along trails. That way they can ambush unsuspecting travelers." May replied.

"So gotta keep an eye on them as well. Gotcha." Star said.

"With that settled let's head out." Mars said as she rolled up the map and placed it back into her pack. Star grabbed hold of her gunbreakers before sheathing them on her belt that was given by the shop owner before putting the pack on her back.

May put the pack on her back first before slinging her sniper on her right shoulder as Mars placed did the same thing as May but making sure she had quick asses to her quiver and bow.

"Alright ladies let's move out." Mars said as the three left the house as they began heading toward the edge of town before walking out of the small as they began the long walk toward the capital city of Vacuo.

Star looked back at the city one more time as if she might not be coming back here for quiet a while but that she'll still miss the place as gave a gentle smile. before following after May and Mars.

"Don't worry everyone. I'm on my way now." She thought.

An hour into their walk as the semi brisk air blowing through them as they were already a considerable distance away from Corquina as it was now nothing but desert now as they continued they're walk. May removed her beanie so that she wouldn't get hot from the suns rays as they continued onward.

However what they didn't know was that someone was watching them from a sand dune. The person watching them was an older man with red hair that cuts around the shoulders and amber colored eyes. He has a growing beard, and wears a red cape trimmed with yellow marks and fur that covers a brown, sleeveless shirt. His outfit serves as armor. However this person is a lion faunus with showing lion ears on the sides of his head. On his back is normal bronze colored rounded shield and his right hand has a pair of three bronze claws.

"Well... now they look like easy prey for me." The man said as he got up from the sand before turning around to the other ten that were standing behind the dune a mix of both males and females alike.

"Ladies and gentlemen. I your great leader Fenix Nemean has spotted more unsavory travelers in our mist, and it is time that we remove them of their valuables. Let's go forth and triumph!" He cheered heartily as the other ten cheered with him as they emerged from behind the sand dune as they prepared to charge at the three travelers.

Meanwhile with the group May took a sip of her canteen before screwing the lid back on and placing it on the side of the pack.

"How you girls holding up?" Mars questioned.

"Doing fine... though I think the sun is starting to really heat things up a bit." Star said as May nodded in agreement.

"Yeah plus it doesn't help that the further we continue the more the sun is going to rise over our heads which will only increase the heat around us. We'll feel like three chickens in an oversized oven after this." May said.

"Yeah but let's try and get a little further before we take a break." Mars said before something out of the corner of Mays left eye caught her attention. She noticed a group of eleven people coming at them as dust bullets flew right past them as some impacted the sand near them.

"Heads up. We got company." May said as she immediately drew her sniper rifle at them.

Star readied her gunbreakers and switch to their gunner mode while Mars unholstered her pistols and pointed at the charge of people as more dust bullets flew past them.

May took the first shot as she fired at one of them as a yellow bolt came out of her rifle hitting one of them as they dropped to the ground paralyzed.

Star pressed the trigger and fired her gunbreakers at the oncoming attackers not even knowing why they were attacking them in the first place. However three of them managed to get through as they decided to go for May first.

May jumped back to avoid the first attacker but the second and third attacker jumped over the first with their weapons drawn aiming directly at her. Having no choice May quickly switched to her weapons axe mode as she was able to block the attacks but only barely but left her open for the first person to grab May from behind and fling her to the ground as she landed on the sand as she quickly recovered.

Four of the eleven decided to go after Mars. Mars stopped firing her guns before assuming a fighting stance as one of them tried swinging at her with an overly large axe, but because of her nimble body she was able to dodge it as she actually landed on flat side of the axe before delivering a swift kick to the guys jaws knocking him away but was quickly replaced by two women as they tossed their weapons at her as chains seemed to wrap around her stopping her in place.

Mars struggled against the chains as she decided to use her semblance as her body started to heat up. Before long the chains started to glow red hot with a powerful push Mars was able to free herself from the chains before grabbing said chains of each weapon and pulled the two women toward her before delivering a single gut shot to each of them stopping them in their place. The forth person was another women as she wielded two maces in her hands as she attacked Mars smashing the maces on the ground.

Mars was able to dodge it but didn't expect the other attack as the women used the momentum of her attack to swing again at Mars hitting her left hip pretty hard that actually made her spin in the air before the women hit her with a punt kick knocking Mars away. Luckily her aura took most of the blow but even then it still hurt as she got into another battle stance.

Star for her readied herself as the other three attacked her as one of them a male attacked her with a simple spear weapon as he thrusted forward only for it to get batted away by the gunbreakers. The second person a female tried her luck getting close with her daggers as she launched a quick assault on Star but without her aura Star knew she couldn't afford to get cut by those things. Using the gunbreakers size as shielded herself from the daggers attack before finding an opening as she side stepped the women before delivering a tonfa strike on the attackers stomach that was quickly followed by a one - two combo each blow hitting their mark knocking the women away from her.

However that was when Fenix attack her as he raised his clawed hand and brought it down on as she quickly guarded the attack.

"Ah a charming young lass. What's someone so delicate like you wondering the desert?" He asked almost in a condescending tone. Star pushed him off before going in for a strike herself but he quickly blocked the attack with his shield with mere ease.

"Now now that's quite rude to not answer someones question when they ask it." Fenix replied jumping away from the fox faunus.

"Sorry but when you start getting attacked by some random people out in the desert you don't tend to answer any questions." Star answered as she then charged again at the lion faunus.

Fenix used his claw to latch onto one of the gunbreakers before charging forward with his shield bashing Star in the head which did stun the fox faunus in which he then gave her a solid kick to her exposed stomach as she doubled over in pain dropping to the ground in a heap dropping her weapons.

She looked over to see Mars and May had eventually been overpowered by their adversaries.

"That didn't take long." Fenix replied as one of the bandits came to him.

"Sir what should we do with them?" The bandit asked.

"Hm... an excellent question indeed. Perhaps we can take them with us and serve as our hostages. No perhaps servants would be better for them anyways especially how this world is now." He said before stepping on Star's head.

"Now be a good girl and stay put." Fenix said.

However for Star she felt something pulse through her as if it was familiar to her as her tail started to thrash about as she suddenly grabbed hold of his shoe.

"You know something... your starting to get really annoying!" Star said before pushing his shoe off her head with such force he landed flat on his back.

Fenix looked up at the girl who was now on her feet with gunbreakers in hand as she looked at him with a feral look on her face.

"Well someone still has some fight in them. Let's see how long that lasts." Fenix said as he got up and discarded his weapon and shield before taking a breath himself as he activated his semblance.

His arms suddenly got slightly bigger as she could see the veins along his body. On his hand actual claws extended from them as he gritted his teeth seeing fangs starting to grow from his mouth. He then did something she didn't expect was let out a mighty roar like an actual lion.

"Let us see who is better. The fox or the lion." He roared as he crouched on all fours before lunging at Star. Star avoided his lung as she struck back attacking him on his left side.

From Mays and Mars perspective they noticed Star's tail suddenly splitting into two and a veil of white aura cover her as they watch the fight continue. They also noticed that Star's hands had long fingernails that almost resembled claws like the other guy however it seemed like she had more control of it.

Though they also noticed that the men and women that this guy brought with him were getting nervous almost as if something bad was going to happen if this didn't end soon. Star began to notice that he was starting to get more aggressive toward her almost as if his semblance was getting out of hand.

So with that said she charged energy into her weapons as they started glowing but this time a whiteish color as she waited the perfect opportunity to strike. She didn't have to wait long as he pounced at her again with his claws lunged outward toward her but this time she was ready. Using the dust in her gunbreakers they were now engulfed in that whiteish energy as she then rolled out of the way before switching to the gun mode and with a press of the trigger fire at the lion faunus but she fired ice shots at him freezing his legs in place after he landed.

With his legs now frozen Star with all her strength bashed him in the head as hard she could which also freed his legs from the ice as he was sent rolling in the sand but she noticed him returning to normal as his semblance was deactivating as he seemed to be knocked unconscious.

Mars then took the opportunity to stomp on the guys foot causing him to yelp in pain before backflipping over the guy. During mid flip she managed to grab the guy by his neck before tossing him into the one holding May knocking the women out. Now finally free May kicked one of the guys near her before readying her snipers axe mode swiping at another women near her as both her and Mars went to Star's side.

The lion faunus groaned as he brought himself to a knee shaking his head a moment.

"What in the world was that?" Fenix said before looking behind him noticing the three of them were standing nearby with Star's gunbreakers pointing directly at him.

"Hm... well this situation doesn't look good." Fenix replied.

"Okay buster give one good reason why I shouldn't bury you six feet under right now." Star growled having her finger on the trigger.

However that seemed to surprise him "Wait you don't work for Carmine?" He asked as the three of them shook their heads.

"No way. Why would we work for someone like her anyway? We're on our way to the capital." Mars replied.

That seemed to catch his attention "So your only travelers." He stated as he got up as the three girls still had their weapons aimed at him.

"It has seems that we've gotten some misinformation my dear. I am dreadfully sorry about this." Fenix apologized.

Though the fox faunus was still a little skeptic about him "How do you we know that this isn't a trick or something." Star said her weapons still trained on him.

"If I was going to trick do you think I would have done it already." He said.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself. Fenix Nemean." He introduced himself in a more calming manner as the other he had under his control sheathed their weapons.

The situation seemed to calm down as the three girls sheathed their weapons as well as Star seemed to have calmed down as her tails seemed to fuse back into one.

"I'm Star Azure. That's May Zedong, and Mars Kaminari." Star introduced.

"So you said that you attacked us because you thought were working with Carmine. Why? Did Carmine do something?" May questioned.

"Yes she has but first let us talk somewhere more comfortable. My base isn't far from here." Fenix replied as gestured his people to move out.

"Shall we get moving then." Fenix said as the girls looked at each other.

"Um... could you give us a minute?" Star questioned before getting the other two into a huddle.

"So what do you think girls? Can we trust him?" She asked.

Mars and May thought for a moment "Well apparently he's after Carmine but not getting anywhere. Plus he might have some information that we don't have that we could use to find her." Mars said.

"Hopefully he'll have information that we could use." May added.

"Okay then we should go with him." Star said as the two nodded in agreement before turning around to face him.

"Sure we'll come with you." Star added.

"Very well then. Just follow us and we'll be their in no time." Fenix replied as the three followed him and his crew.

Star and the girls followed them for about thirty minutes before seeing something in the distance which was seemed like they were going. It was a camp long wooden spikes surrounding the camp except for an entrance into the camp. Their were many tents set up along the came with only enough for Fenix and his crew. Their was a watch tower made out of wood that was used to make sure nothing came close to the encampment.

They entered through the entrance and the crew immediately started setting their supplies down and unpacking things.

"Please make yourselves comfortable." Fenix gestured as Star and company set their supplies down where they can find them in the morning.

"So this is your camp. Seems rather small for your group." Star said looking over the camp itself.

"Yes while it is small we make things work while we're here. This camp is made to be a relay camp to send out information to other cities around Vacuo." Fenix replied.

"So you get information and then send it out to other cities. That's rather impressive to say the least." May replied.

"Indeed it is young miss. Though we are just one camp of many that are spread throughout the desert of Vacuo itself. We send information to another camp and they send it to another and the process continues until it reaches its destination." Fenix added.

"How long has this process stayed active?" Mars questioned.

"Ah for quite a long time actually. Another person was here last time but this person never returned after he made a trip to the capital and attacked by a grimm. After that we sort of took over the camp and continued running the operations here." Fenix replied.

"So here is something I want to know. If information gathers here and you can send it to another camp but can information get to a city like the capital." Star said.

Fenix sighed "Here's the thing. We've tried send information to the capital but for some reason the information that we gave the capital isn't exactly reaching the capital itself. I think something might have happened along the way." Fenix replied.

"What information that you gathered?" Star questioned.

"Well we might have something on where Carmine and the exiles are hiding out." He said.

That got their attention real quick "Wait you might know where she is. That's great news." Mars replied actually wanted to find the women.

"Yes but the information needs to get to the capital. I would go myself but I'm needed here to keep track of everybody." Fenix replied.

"Although if you three could deliver this message to the capital. Maybe we can finally put an end to Carmines terror." Fenix added.

"What has Carmine done?" Star questioned.

"From what our scouts reported she has blocked access to the water ways that most villages desperately need for their crops and have been stealing supplies from the trade routes. Even what dust gathered have been stolen because of that witch." Fenix explained.

"So you want our help to not only get this message out but also handle the problems that she has caused." May summarized.

"Yes. If that would be possible for you three." Fenix replied.

Star deliberated this for a moment before coming up with an answer "I suppose we could handle that. Just leave it to us." Star replied.

"Very good. Though I would suggest handling it tomorrow. It'll take you a good amount of time to get to the capital. A good rest would be enough. Then you can set out with a plan in the morning." Fenix replied.

"Yeah that does sound like a good idea. I mean it's not like the capital is going anywhere right now." Star replied.

"Great. I'll set up an additional tent for you three." Fenix replied as he then went into another place to grab another tent for the three.

"Guess we better hang out for awhile." Star said turning to the girls.

"Yeah I suppose so. We have been going for quite a while. Plus I think this encampment might actually be closer to the capital with us being here." May added.

"Plus I think we could be quite useful here when they need help with something." Mars concluded.

"Alright then it's settled. We'll stay for the day and then we'll head off in the morning to the capital." Star ordered as three decided to check around the camp to see if they could be of any use till their tent is set up for them.

Mars went straight for a large cauldron in the center of camp that looks to be used for cooking all sorts of things for them.

"See you eying our cauldron here. You cook?" The female solider replied.

"Yes actually. I'm quite good at it too if I may add." Mars said boastfully.

"Well since your here you can help me by gathering some wild game for dinner tonight." The female added.

"Alright but where are going to get wild game. This place is a desert after all." Mars asked.

"Spent too long in the city huh. What is one thing that all living things require to survive?" The female questioned Mars.

Mars thought a moment before coming up with an answer "Well... aside from food we also require water as well to keep hydrated." Mars answered.

"Precisely young girl. Even the animals rather they be prey or predator need water as well. Their is a water hole not too far from us. Mostly likely that's where some animals have gathered to drink. Care to join me?" The female asked.

"Sure. Wouldn't want us to go hungry now would we." Mars answered.

"Good then lets be off. The quicker we gather our game the quicker we can return before nightfall." The female said as the two set off for the water hole.

Meanwhile May began looking the camp herself to figure out what she could to assist around the camp. That was when something caught her eye as she noticed an older man was patching up a rather large hole in a clothing that someone wore without much trouble. Next to the older man seems to be a pile of clothing with several rips and tears on them while on his other side are ones that are well folded and completed.

"Ah why hello their young one. Your eyes seemed to be staring with interest." The older man said.

"Um... actually I was just wondering what you were doing?" She said nervously.

"Oh this. I'm just fixing up some of their clothes that have gotten damaged during other attacks." He said as he finished the one he was on before moving on to another piece of clothing.

"Okay but what is the point of it anyway. If they wear it again and get damaged wouldn't have been for nothing." May pointed out.

"Hm... perhaps it is and perhaps it isn't. Do you know why?" The older man asked.

May simply shook her head.

"Every repair I do is also helping me refine my skills even better. Here take a look at what I mean." He said gesturing to the one he was working on.

The rip was torn at the sleeves elbow and it was a rather wide tear but then she noticed what he was doing. The stitch he was doing was more of a double zig zag pattern so it would maintain stability. She looked at the one he'd finished early had more of a crossing pattern forming a X at where the tear was.

"Their different. But what kind of skill would require something like this?" She questioned.

"A good question indeed and I have an easy answer for you my dear girl. To put it simply I'm the camps surgeon. I stitch up their injuries so that they can live to see another day." The older man said.

That was when it hit her "So stitching up these fabrics like your doing is like performing surgery on a patient." May replied.

"Yes. These fabrics I treat them like they're a wounded patient and I simply tend to them." He replied.

Listening to the older man had brought her interest in the skill herself but she decided to ask first.

"Um... you wouldn't mind teaching me that... stitching that your doing?" May questioned.

The old man actually smiled at that question as if not even bothered by her.

"Of course. Now please have a seat and I'll show you what I know." He said as he gestured to the empty seat across from him. May gladly took the seat and sat down as he then handed her roll of thread and a needle. She then grabbed one of the clothing that had rips in it as he began showing her how to thread.

Star for her noticed around camp that everyone acted like one big family and Fenix was in charge making sure everyone was well taken care of. Even though they are hunters Star can tell that everyone has a role that they carry out rather easy. She looked over to where May was and saw that the older man was teaching her how to thread a needle. While some saw it as a useless skill others saw it as an advantage.

Her ears twitched as she turned to the side and noticed that Fenix was walking towards her.

"Your tent has been setup for you girls tonight. Also I made sure your supplies have been placed their as well." Fenix replied.

"Thanks." She thanked as she once again looked upon the camp.

"This is quite the setup you have here you know." She complement.

"Ah thank you. It may be small but we use what we can to get by. Though that's not why I came over here. I wish to talk with you Miss Azure." Fenix replied knowingly.

"Okay... what is it that you want to talk about?" She questioned as she folded her arms.

"During our squabble back their I've noticed that your tail suddenly spit into two tails. Was their a reason for that?" He questioned however that seemed to surprise the fox faunus.

"Huh? What do you mean? If it's my semblance then it shouldn't be able to activate because of me not having my aura." Star said but it also confused her as well.

"Well... why don't you check your scroll? It should be able to show you how much aura you have left." Fenix suggested.

Star only shook her head at this but she decided to check it anyway. And much to her surprise she did have aura but it wasn't much as it was at only twenty percent.

"My aura is returning. I thought because of this Aura Exhaustion that it would take longer to recover." She said rather surprised at the amount of aura that had returned.

"Hm... it would seem I was correct. Your aura must've activated during our struggle in which abled you to trigger your semblance which almost seems similar to my own but yet rather different in its own right." Fenix replied.

"What do you mean by different?" She questioned not sure what he was meaning.

"Let me explain. My semblance is called as put Beast Warrior. It not only enhances my faunus like abilities but I pretty much become a literal lion in the process. However it comes with a side effect. If I don't return to normal in a period of time I risk losing my humanity." He explained.

"Yours however seems rather different from mine and yet a bit of the same as well. Your semblance seems to react to anger as I noticed when your friends were captured. Then your tail became two tails but you seem to have more control over it with having two tails." He said.

Star put a hand to her head and tried to recall something from her fight at Vale City including her fight with Tyrian. She remember her getting angry and then she saw red but for maybe a brief moment that her two tails suddenly become three and that was probably when everything went red.

"I think I remember something like that. I had suddenly grown two tails but then a third suddenly sprout out but after that nothing else." Star replied.

"I see. Though I'm sure when your aura fully returns you'll be learning how to master it." Fenix replied.

"Thanks for the encouragement." Star said.

"Anytime. Though maybe you can help me with something right now. I have to make sure the camp's boundaries is secured. Make sure no unwanted guests can get in if you know what I mean." Fenix said.

Star nodded "Sure. Got to make sure everything is secure and tight." Star said.

"Good. Let's go check the structure." Fenix replied as they headed toward the outside of the camp and looked around it to make sure nothing could get inside.

There were a few spots that had to tightened up and even a few wooden poles replaced in its entirety.

Hours would pass as the sun began to set on the horizon. Luckily Mars and the other female hunter returned with some wild game as they somehow managed to get three large boars. First their tusks were removed via using a saw before being placed on the side. According to Fenix they sell pretty well in the market. After the tusks were removed Mars began cutting the boars legs and began skinning the boar of its fur getting a few good pelts off of them.

The female hunter began preparing the cauldron and a spit to roast the boars.

May and the older gentleman finished with fixing the tears on the clothing. It took a couple tries for May as she accidently pricked herself several times with the needle as a few bandages were placed on her fingers but she eventually got the hang of it and thought of it as a great experience for her.

Star and Fenix finished checking the perimeter of the camp making sure everything was secured and tight even after replacing a few poles which took a lot of effort to get it settled into the ground properly.

Another twenty minutes past and everyone was now enjoying the boar meat that Mars cooked up that filled everyone's bellies.

"My my I must say Mars that was the most delicious boar meat that I've ever tasted. Your most certainly have a gift for cooking." Fenix complemented as Mars gently blushed at the comment.

"Thanks I learn that from..." Mars started before pausing a moment as if a little hesitant at first.

Star knew who she was talking about. Her mother that she had glad she met. Though her mother died when Mars was twelve and her father was part of the council in Atlas so she hardly got to see him much unless the head allowed him to take time off which was never.

Though what was odd was that nobody knew how Mars mother died since their weren't any grimm in the area at the time of her death which to this day Mars still wants to find out.

"Hm... I see. But even still your cooking was delicious." He said as if knowing what she was talking about before getting up.

"Alright then everyone it's getting late and we should go to bed. I'll take the first watch at the entrance." Fenix said as everyone scattered into their tents for a nights rest. The three of them quickly found their tent as they huddled into it. The girls settle in as they allowed sleep to take them away but Star still had something on her mind as well more importantly her semblance.

She wants to learn more about it and about how she can control it. Then maybe after find Carmine and putting her away she can focus on another task. Finding her friends and figuring out the cause behind of the attack on Beacon Academy.

F3: And that'll do it for this chapter. It seems that Star's aura is starting to return to her little by little which also means her semblance as well.
