"Dorea, this is Blaise Zabini. Blaise, Dorea Lestrange."
"Nice to meet you, Dorea," Blaise greeted as he was trained to do.
"You too! Draco told me that you are an Arithmancy prodigy, is that true or was he exaggerating your abilities?" Dorea asked, ignoring her own lessons. The darker boy hesitated, looking to Draco for a clue to how to answer the question. Dorea noticed this. "C'mon. Brag a little. We're fourteen, not forty. Act like a kid."
Blaise again looked to her cousin before answering truthfully. "Yes, my tutor considers me a prodigy."
"What's your favorite subject? Mine's always been defense, but from what Dray tells me I wouldn't like it with the Hogwarts curriculum, seeing as, compared to Salem, you guys would still be in your first or second year-"
"Dorea, breath. Most people aren't used to you talking nonsense, so you either need to slow down or not talk," Draco cut her off, having seen Blaise's almost desperate look for help.
"Where I come from, we shorten that to 'sit down and shut up'."
"Dora, we act like the purebloods we are. Not street ruffians." Draco told her.
"I don't act like a street ruffian! I act like a kid! Like I'm supposed to. Our teen years are the years that we are supposed to be wild. You got boring."
"I've been trained as an heir."
"So have I. I still act like a kid. Serenity convinced Mum that it's normal for kids to act like... well, kids." Dorea explained.
"Who's Serenity?" Draco asked, both of them unknowingly ignoring Blaise.
"She's one of my best friends back home. Serenity, Alina, Tove, Anne, Dion, and Alec."
"So, you wish for me to speak freely?" Blaise asked, getting them back on topic.
"Yes. What were we talking about?" Dorea asked.
"Defense-"
"We gotta get back to the tent!" Dorea cut Blaise off before he got more words out.
"I apologize, Blaise, we have to go," Draco got out before being half dragged back to the tent before Bellatrix started tearing apart the campground to find them.
