*Let's Continue Where We Left Off*
"I'm told there have been beats apparances in tnis area, so keep an eye out." Sortiliena said
"-Yeah!"
"-Yeah!"
"-Yeah!"
Sortiliena, Kirito, Sonic, and Eugeo went past the Cordea Plains once again. Passing a bridge, a garden, river, more houses. Eventually, the four reach their destination.
"Looks like the beasts we're after." Kirito said
"Yep. They look tough, but I'm sure we'll be fine!" Eugeo said
"They should be easy to take down." Sonic said
"That's what I like to hear. To arms!" Sortiliena said
The four take out their swords as the beasts called Terrabound Fowls charged at the four. Kirito and Sonic both charge at one of the Terrabound Fowls and attack it over and over again. Both using Sonic Leap skill and dealing good damage to the Terrabound Fowls. Eugeo and Sortiliena both charge at the 2nd Terrabound Fowl and attack it, leaving scratches all over it. Sortiliena charges her sword and releases heavy slashes at the Terrabound Fowl. Eugeo also followed soon, charging his sword and releasing strong attacks at the beast. The beast counters and does a flip attack at Eugeo. Eugeo jumps back in time, dashes back, and attacks the beast. With Kirito and Sonic, the Terrabound Fowl notices Kirito and charges at him. Kirito was about to launch an attack until all of sudden, a sword flew by past Kirito and chops the Terrabound Fowl's legs off, and falls. Kirito watches as the sword makes a U-turn and flies right back at him. He ducks down as the sword fly right over him and Sonic grabs it during airborne. Sonic sheath and unsheaths his sword as multiple slashes surrounded the Terrabound Fowl and explode, sending the beast up in the air. Kirito jumps as well and performs a multi-combo sword attack at the beast before slashing down it to the ground, before disappearing in thin air. The second Terrabound Fowl attempts to attack Sortiliena by unleashing fast beak attacks at her. Sortiliena jumps and stabs her sword at the Fowl's head, causing it to shriek in pain. Eugeo took the moment to charge and slash it once more time. Moments later, the head falls and hits the ground, as well as its body before disappearing in thin air.
"And that's the last of them. Execellent work, boys."
"Thank you! I'm glad it all worked out." Kirito said
"They were no match for my speed." Sonic said
"I definitely couldn't have done that on my own, so I'm glad you were all here." Eugeo said
*Night*
"Hey, Eugeo... Could you tell me about the nobility?"
"Sure, I don't know all that much, though."
A few minutes later of explaining...
"Thanks, Eugeo. I feel like I knmnow all about the nobility now." Kirito said
"Really? Ask me again next time you're curious." Eugeo said
*Morning*
"Good morning, you two. Exams today, so no time to waste." Eugeo said
"Oh, that's right..." Kirito said
"Let's just get this over with." Sonic said
"Are you two okay?"
"I never signed up for this. Taking exams is boring." Sonic said
"Oh, sorry... Just got the pre-exam butterflies." Kirito said
"Ah, so you WERE having nightmares last night, then." Eugeo said
"Bwuh? Was I talking in my sleep?"
"You sure were. I couldn't make much out, though. All I could make out was "I'm so sorry, guys..."
"Damn... Must've been that dream." Kirito said
"Kirito. Don't tell me that everything is..."
"Are your memories coming back? Was it some painful experience form your past?"
"It's just a vauyge image, nothing concrete. I've... got this tendency to try and go for the final hit on everything." Kirito said
"I'm not sure if I follow. Do you mean like... back when we were in the garrison, those wild creatures appeared and you took the killing blow on all of them? As I recall, you were rewarded with good meat as the "Killing Blow King." Eugeo said
"Yup. And a bunch of them got mad at me for trying to take credit for everything." Kirito said
"Yeah, they sure did. But the way I see it, things would've gone poorly if you hadn't."
"I'm guessing I did something similar in my past. Sonic knows this as well. In my dream, Asu-er, someone was getting on my case for that." Kirito said
"Oh, yea. I remember those times." Sonic said
"Oh. Well in that case, it sounds less like a nightmare and more just deserts." Eugeo said
"You odn't understand how it feels to get the Last Attack-er, be the Killing Blow King!" Kirito said
"Ahaha... Well, I'm glad it wasn;t anything bad! Put that same gusto into these exams!" Eugeo said
"Yeah... I'm not totally over it, but yeah, nothing you need to worry about, Eugeo." Kirito said
"Come on you two. Enough talking, let's get to our exams." Sonic said
*Second Placement Exam*
"It's almost time for the placement exams. Oh yeah, hold still for a second, you two." Eugeo said
"Huh? Sure, all right. Why?"
"What are you doing?" Sonic asked
"You'll see. ... Okay, all done. That was a little blessing we do in Rulid. Or, well, just a simple prayer, really. Exams determine our chances of becoming Integrity Knight, so let's do our best!" Eugeo said
"Oh, really? Thanks, Eugeo." Sonic said
"Hell yeah! And thanks for the blessing from, uh... Starrial!" Kirito said
"It's Terraria! I don't even know how you managed to mix Stacia's name with hers! Last time ot was Solaria, an unholy mix of Souls and Terraria. Will you ever learn?" Eugeo said
"Ahaha, I totally forgot about that... Sorry. And thanks, Eugeo. I appreciate it!" Kirito said
"*Sigh* Though I honesty can't imagine you doing poorly, even with the blasphemy..." Eugeo said
"Damn straight! But teh same goes for you too, Eugeo."
"Hah hah hah hah! You pathetic commoners and your ludicrous superstitions!"
"Aw dang it, here we go again." Sonic said
"Hmmm? Did you hear something?"
"I could not agree more, Raios. Not even Terraria's boundless mercy will save them. I hear Eugeo's village is forsaken that their food is vile beyond imagination." Humbert said
"But surely they have not been entirely forsaken if they were admitted here. Though that will not last either. Their plebeian swordplay holds not a candle to us." Raios said
"We've survived battles with odds a hundred-to-one in their favor, by the way. So cut the empty smack talk and pray the goddesses don't get tired of YOU." Kirito said
"Calm down, Kirito. Keep it cool." Sonic said
"Hah, ignorant as ever. Nonles are born with blessings everlasting. Though that excludes House Orthinanos."
"Medina? What about her?"
"Primary Trainee Orthinanos, hmm? Why ever would you bind a broken pratice sword?"
"Just because something's broken doesn't mean it's unusable."
"Hahahahaha! I couldn't think of a reason more befitting for the likes of you!"

"Speak of the devil. Well, then. Unlike you lowly rats, we have important businesses."
"Indeed we do, Raios. Let us ready ourselves for the exams."
"Medina..."
"So those two assholes aren't the only nobles who treat her like that. But why?"
"Poor, Medina." Sonic said
"I wonder if she's okay..."
"Yeah, same. But exams are coming up, so let's save it for another time."

"Come on you two. Let's get going." Sonic said
Later, the three do their exams, using their skills they practiced and learned during their time before the exam.
*Later*
"Awright, second placememt exam DONE! The results should be up on the board now. You're ranked ninth, I'm ranked eighth, and Sonic unsurprisingly ranked 1st. Just you and I managed to keep our spots in the top ten. Tonight, we party! Time to bust out all those treats I bought in the capital."
"I decided to go all out for this exam part." Sonic said
"Even though I have used a sword in combat on the other side before. So I know pretty well how to use a sword and skills I'm able to do." Sonic thought
"Good job on being ranked 1, Sonic! Also, works for me. Although we've still only done two of the four subjects." Eugeo said
"Urgh, don't remind me... I need a break from it all regardless. I can cram everything for the written theory exam in one night. It'll be fine!" Kirito said
"And who's going to have to help you woth the cram? Me. So that's not happening." Eugeo said
"Oh, Medina's ranked... thirty-fifth, huh. Not bad, I guess." Kirito said
"Wait, did she really ranked thirty-fifth? That's tuff." Sonic said
"Are you listening?"
"Oh, sorry. I'm just suprised-she seemed a lot better than that when I dueled her."
"Wha- Ah... Yeah, she did. Maybe she was just having an off day." Eugeo said
"Yeah, who knows."
"Out of my way." Medina said
"Oh, hey! Uh, sorry about..."
"No need to apologize. I ranked poorly, and you have every right to criticize me." Medina said
"Why would I critice someone who actually tried?" Sonic said
"I wasn't criticizing you, I just... I'm worried about you."
"You? About me?"
"You've always been crazy good with your sword, so I wasn't sure what happened."
"Kirito would never talk dowm about you. He just gets overly motherly sometimes." Eugeo said
"Are you okay?"
"... By the goddesses, I cannot STAND how you insist on meddling in my affairs. I'm not feeling well, that's all. So I'm going back to the dorms to rest." Medina walking away
"Wait, Medina..."
"Guess she is just having an off day. She looked pretty under the weather."

"Did you see the Orthinanos girl? Dreadful form: you would hardly believe her a noble."

"Why is she barefoot?"

"As always, the daugther of house Orthinanos has no sense of fashion."
"Not so loud! If she hears, she might rip you to pieces! Let's go!"
"Who are these people?" Sonic said
"Those must be Medina's classmates. So they're nobles too. Did they do something with her shoes?"

"Medina!"
"What's going on here?" Sonic said

"Medina? It's us, Kirito and Sonic."
"Oh, it's you two." Medina said
"She looks more down than usual... Wait, no time for that!"
"Medina, umm... why are you barefoot?" Kirito said
"Care to explain us?" Sonic said
"Mabye I felt like it."
"Did those students do it?"

"They should've target me instead so they wouldn't have to target you. Look at me, I look completely different then everyone here. I should be the vitcim. Expect it's the opposite." Sonic said
"*Sigh* You really don't know anything. The Taboo Index defines stealing as taking ownership without permission. Ownership only transfers 24 hours after taking the object. In other words, it isn't stealing if the object is returned within 24 hours." Medina explaining
"So they took advantage of that loophole to swipe your shoes?"
"So people can do anything they want as long as it doesn't break the Taboo Index?"
"If they get caught, they'll say they only moved them a little."
"I understand how... but WHY would they do this to you?" Kirito said
"That's because I... no... the house of Orthinanos is defective."
"Wait what? What ate you talking about?" Sonic asks
"Defective? What do you mean?"
"It is what it is. My father told me about something that happened before I was born. Orthinanos was once a first-rank house. We were valued as a military familiy. But one day, the Pontifex declared us defects and demoted us to second-rank." Medina said
"Isn't she the highest ranking member of the Church? Did you even deserve it?" Kirito said
"If we had, it wouldn't have ended with just a demotion. So, that's what happened." Medina said
"Was it just on a whim? Or did she have am ulterior motive?"
"Now other houses think they have the right to do anything they please to us. We wete given poor land in the outskirts and barred from other work. We were second-rank in name, but lived worse than peasants." Medina said
"Man, that's ruff to hear." Sonic said
"The Pontifex's words caused all of that suffering?" Kirito asks
"Yes. As an Orthinanos, I have no future. That's why I want to distinguish myself and receive the Pontifex's blessing. I will clear my father's name with the sword he left behind for me. We will never be called "defects" again."
"The sword he left you? Medina... did your father..."
"Yes. No matter how much he was shamed, he never lost his pride. I will repay him. As my father taught me, an Orthinanos's heart must always remain strong and just." Medina said
"So that's why she wants to be stronger. She's focused on distinguished service."

"Great. Don't you think these law exams are a bit over the top? I mean, there are over 1,000 rules in the Taboo Index, and imperial law too!
"hah, must be extra tough for you, since your amnesia made you forget everything.
"Seriously, it's no joke... And the "higher law takes priority" rule makes things even more complicated."
"Yeah, but it's pretty simple. The Taboo Index is top priority, then imperial law. They just use similar overlapping laws to trap you with trick questions." Eugeo said

"I was just thinking that even judicial authority has its limits."

"Cenmtoria is as bust as ever. Maybe I'll check out a shop or two I don't usually frequent..."
"Oh, this food... I see. It's animal feed. if the cat we found at the academy is still there, it's probably still hungry. May as well buy it some food." Kirito said
"That seems like a good idea. Sonic said

"And it's not here anymore." Sonic said
"Hm... I saw it around here before. It's not here... Maybe it left the academy grounds. guess the food will go to waste. but there's nothing I can do."

The male student slaps Medina across the face. Kirito and Sonic were shocked to see it right in front of them.

"You two Could you two not interrupt? We're having an important discussion."
"Sorry, but we can't just watch friend of ours get hit."
"So either leave or deal with us." Sonic said

The male student walks away from the three.
"Are you okay, Medina?" Kirito said
"We saw what happen." Sonic said
"You shouldn't have meddled..."
"We couldn't just let that happen." Kirito said
"Not even as someone like you." Sonic said
"But now... Again..."
"Does your cheek hurt? Do you need..."
"Don't touch me!"
Medina slaps Kirito in the face.
"S-Sorry... You sure you're okay, Medina? Your hands are shaking..."
"Don't worry about it... I'm fine. Anyway, I'm leaving."
Medina runs away from the two.
"H-Hey! Medina!" Kirito shouted
"We just want to talk!" Sonic shouted
"Medina's usually so headstrong... What could scare her like that?"
*The Next Day*
"Another day. Another day of more unexpected things." Sonic said
"Phew... I'm even sorer than when we were chopping at the Gigas Cedar every day..." Kirito said
"Hello you two. How are you doing this morning?"
"Oh, hey there, Liena. Thanks for training with me yesterday. You as well, Sonic. Thank you."
"Anything to help a best friend." Sonic said
"I just hope I didn't overdo it. We were at it for a long time."
"No, no, not at all! I learned quite a bit from you! Exams are coming up soon. Can't let every lttile thing affect me."
"I like that attitude. We'll continue our training this evening, then. And for today's, I'll increase the number of wings for you! And I'll add a hundred whip dodges to the regimen as well..."

"You've improved, Kirito. As well as you, Sonic. You stances for Flowing Water is coming along well." Sortiliena said
"I been training more then, Kirito." Sonic said
"I still can't parry as well as you, though." Kirito said
"Heehee, ideally you'll master it, but it's really not a style is more offensive than mine. Embracing that is the most effective way. Every time we cross blades, your Aincrad Style surprises me more and more." Sortiliena said
"I'm really proud of you, Kirito. You grown stronger and tuffer since the last time we fought against each other." Sonic said
"I'll have to improve my technique even ore if I want to keep surprising you."
"Heehee. Let's reconvene after a short break. Exams are exhausting."
"Understood."
"Got it."
"Thirsty you two? You'll shrivel up like a dead flower without water." Sortiliena said
"Thank you."

"It's been about six months we met, hasn't it, you two?"
"Yeah. It feels like it was just yesterday." Kirito said
"Man how how times flies here." Sonic said
"You changed fast. You look more adult than when you joined the academy, Kirito. You went from not talking to anyone to interacting with more people besides Kirito, Sonic." Sortiliena said
"I was just not use to this place, still. I needed to explore more, and eventually. I became more social." Sonic said
"Umm... Liena..."
"Something to say?"
"Why did you choose us as your page?" Kirito asked
"We're just regular students that usually become clumsy every so often. So why us?" Sonic asked
"Well... I felt you Aincrad Styles were similar to my Serlut Style." Sortiliena said
"So it was because it's a style made for real combat?" Kirito said
"Yes. Our sparring showed me that Serlut Style is no match for Aincrad Style. And you both had better bouts with the examiners than any other examinee. The truth is, I'm breaking tradition by naming you two my pages." Sortiliena said
"Breaking tradition?" Kirito said

"That sounds nice, but I'm considering not returning the next year." Sonic said

"I just want to do my own things now. The academy seemed cool at first but as time goes. This isn't really my thing to do. Sorry about that." Sonic said
"It's okay, Sonic. I respect what you do. Not everyone is interested in the academy. Besides, at this point, you're as good as ready to fight against stronger beasts." Sortiliena said
"Thanks, Leina. Glad you understand." Sonic said
*A Few Hours Later*
"What's wrong, Kirito? You're spacing out." Eugeo said
"Huh? Oh, I'm kinda worried about Medina." Kirito said
"It's been bothering him for quite a little." Sonic said
"Medina? Did you two fight?"
"Sometrhing like that, I guess."
"You should hurry and apologoiize. Unlike you, Medina seems sensitive."
"Yeah, you're right. Though I don't know why you have such a low opinion of me."
"Your manners are pretty rough, Kirito. Always barging into people's business! I'm fine with it, but I'm sure people who aren't used to it get confused." Eugeo said
"Hmm... You might be right..."
"But Medina was definitely scared. She wasn't herself. I'm worried..."
"Okay. I'll go apologies, or at least talk to her soon."
"Even if she pushes us away again." Sonic said
"Yeah, that's a good idea." Eugeo said
*Outside the Academy*
"Mew..."
"What's wrong? Yopu don't want it?"
Medina spots Kirito and Sonic walking towards her.
"Hey, Medina!" Kirito said
"How are you?"
"Oh, it's you two."
"Hmm? Doesn't look like this little fella is doing so hot today. He didn't finish his food." Kirito said
"He's been dong poorly lately, but I don't know why," Medina said
"I wish I could just take the cat in myself." Sonic said
"I don't suppose there's anyone with a veterinary Calling around, huh..."
"What are you two doing here, anyway? I thought I told you two to keep your distance."
"Oh, uh. I actually had something I wanted your help with."
"What is it?"
"Uh... a match, that's it! Go around with us!" Kirito said
"Just one," Sonic said
"Well THAT"S completely out of nowhere. Why?"
"Umm, well, exams are coming up soon, so I wanted to practice? And your swordp[lay's so good I figured you'd be the perfect partner!"
"... Fine then, I'll do it. Just be warned, I won't be holding back." Medina said
*Training Room*
Kirito, Sonic, and Medina were in the training room, practicing for their exams. Medina charges at Kirito first performs medium slashes at him. Kirito manages to block Medina's attacks and counters with a Sonic leap but Medina jumps away from Kirito's counter. Sonic runs past Kirito, jumps, and performs a spinning sword attack at Medina. Medina blocks the spinning attack and pushes Sonic away. Sonic lands perform a tornado attack while spinning his sword, and charges at Medina. Medina jumps over the blue tornado and charges at Kirito. Kirito charges at Medina as well as both clash swords together. Kirito slashes Medina back and stuns her. Kirito and Sonic both change at Medina where they slash Medina on both sides. Medina wasn't giving up easy and charges at Sonic. She then releases a powerful attack at Sonic but jumps over her attack. Kirito performs a vertical attack but Medina counters and attacks Kirito, knocking him back away from her. She then charges her sword and releases her powerful attack on Kirito. Kirito blocks each attack from Medina but keeps pushing him back. Sonic charges behind Medina and slashes at Medina. Medina quickly turns around and clangs swords with Sonic. Soon after, the two walk back from each other and put their swords away.
"Phew, you're incredible, Medina. You can even dodge low lows perfectly!"
"That was amazing, Medina!" Sonic said
"My evasion techniques come from my father. They've been passed down for generations." Medina said
"Wowo... House of Orethinanaos sure is something."

"It's time to head out. Are you three ready?" Sortiliena said

The four-headed out across the Cordea Plains. As usual, the same forest and area. Eventually, the four reach their destination.
"Here we are. That looks like the insect we're afecter." Kirito said
"Indeed! We're engaging now!" Sortiliena said
"I'll start it!" Sonic said
Sonic takes out his sword and throws it at the insects like a frisbee. The sword slashes the first insect across, taking good damage and cutting the 2nd insect's leg as well. Soon after, the sword returns to Sonic and grabs it. The insects turn around to face the four. The rest took out their swords and all charge at the insets. Sonic and Medina charge at the first insect and perform slashes at the insect. The insect kept taking hit after hit from both Medina and Sonic. Sonic jumps in the air and performs a spinning sword attack. His attack slashes the insect right on top of it and leaving scratch marks soon after. Sortiliena and Kirito were also dealing with the second insect. Sortiliena using her skill to attack the insect while Kirito uses his heavy attacks to slash the insect. Medina charges up her sword and uses her move "Zekku" to attack the insect. Sonic, using a new skill, summons spinning blue-green swords around him and start slashing the insect themselves. Sonic then charges his sword and performs a powerful 10-combo slash attack on the insect. Medina charges at the insect and performs a power slash at the insect and making it dizzy. Both Sonic and Medina charge at the Insect and release powerful attacks at the insect, soon after the insect disappears. Kirito uses Sonic leap and attacks the insect, dealing heavy damage to it. Sortiliena jumps straight up and stabs her sword into the insect's head as it roars in pain and disappears in thin air.
"Well, we managed to take care of that. Is it time to go home?"
"Yes, let's. good work the three of you. I'm really grateful you came along." Sortiliena said
"Always have each others backs.'" Sonic said
"I'm just glad I could be of help to you." Medina said

"See you again, Kirito. Sonic. Primary Trainee Medina."
"Yeah, see you around!" Kirito said
"Call us when you need something again." Sonic said
"If anything else come ups that I can help with, don't hesitate to let me know." Medina said
"Alright, I will! Goodbye for now." Sortiliena walking away from the three
"You're quite the actress." Kirito said
"There's no acting involved. Sortiliena is simply worthy of respect." Medina said
"You weren't even sure about coming with us!"

"That day, Raios and Humber scored higher than any trainee ever had. They rivaled Eugeo, Sonic, and I in forms and the instructor duel."
"I had no idea they were so strong." Eugeo said

"What you infuse your sword with?" Eugeo said
"Yeah. What you take pride in. For them, it's exaggerated coneit. You must have something too."
"I don't know... I'm still only a beginner. With lots of training. Nothing comes to mind."
"Alright. But still... You have to find something to infuse your sword with. You'll find something, I guarantee it." Kirito said

"It's starting to get cold, huh, Kirito?" Eugeo said
"Yeah, the year's almost over. Christmas is right around the corner too." Kirito said
"A perfect holiday to spend time with others." Sonic said
"Kriss-mass?"
"Oh, uh, sorry. Just a faint memory about something Sonic and my region did around year's end. We'd prepare big feast, get gifts for each other, and celebrate." Kirito explaining
"It's really fun." Sonic said
"Oh, cool. We don't have anything like that in Rulid. I have heard that some nobles have year-end celebrations, but that's it."
"Wow, that's kind of surprising."
"Oh wait, I just remembered."
"Yeah?"
"When we were children, Alice did give me a year-end present one year. I was out with a fever of that winter, and she knitted me a shawl. I loved that shawl, and I wore it all the time. Even when it wasn't cold. About four years back, Its Life ran out and it disappeared for good."
"Damn, that's a bummer. Alice has such a kind heart." Kirito said
"Alice reminds me of someone I knew back then. She has a kind pet and a caring mother." Sonic said
"Yeah... She's a wonderful girl. Winters in Ruylid have been so much colder since I lost the shawl... But I can only imagine Alice herself is so much colder wherever she's being held. If only I'd been strong enough to stop it..."
"Eugeo... Oh, I've got an idea. Stay still, Eugeo."
"Huh?"
"Close your eyes for me, Eugeo."
"S-Sure..."
"What are you doing, Kirito?" Sonic asks
"Just a second." Kirito respond
"Wh-What is this?"
"Okay, you can open your eyes now. Merry- uh, to another good year, Eugeo." Kirito said
"Is... Is this a whetstone? For me?"
"Yup. I don't remember much, but I think there was this man called "Santa"... who came around at the end of the year and gave good kids presents where Sonic and I were from. So this isn't from me, but from Santa."
"I'm... not sure how to feel about that. It sounds like you're calling me a child..." Eugeo said
"Well, uh, according to Santa, you're still qualified for presents until your twenties. But I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..."
"No, no. It's fine. Thank you, Kirito. It's wonderful. It's Cobalt Clearstone, isn't it? The high Priority's perfect for my Blue Rose Sword.
"Yep! I found it out on our last extracurricular lesson and had to grab it! Erm, I mean, Santa just HAD to grab it."

"Awesome! I'm... Santa will be very happy to hear it. So hey... a long time ago, someone gave us something during a cold winter as well. I don't remember her very well, though. Only a faint impression. She was a sweet girl with a beautiful singing voice. Just unforgettable." Kirito said
"I really miss that person. She treated me so nicly when we talked over time." Sonic said
"Did... Did you lose?"
"Yeah, We did... We couldn't do anything then, and there's nothing we can do now... But don't you worry, Eugeo. Alice is still alive. We'll make it there to her, and we'll make it there to her, and we'll make sure us three of our hands to take. So just hang in there." Kirito said
"We will reach to her." Sonic said
"You're right. I WILL ring Alice back, and I'll do it with the help of my Blue Rose Sword. Nothing can stand in my way with you two at my side. Nothing." Eugeo said

"My favorite season is around the corner. Perfect time to sleep under the beautiful sun. And I'm finally about to leave this academy to do so, and of course. Train with my sword." Sonic said
"Spring is coming. It's starting to get warm. time flies. I can't believe it's already our last day day of training with Liena."
"Ooh, flowers."
"Almost as beautiful as back in the other side." Sonic said
"Out of my way."
"Wha?"
"I'm going to pick those flowers."
"Oh, sorry. Hey, Medina. Is this for the cat?"
"Yes. But it's none of your business."
"You know, I'm raising some flowers too. If you want a little variety, that is."
"That's your garden that you've been caring for. So no. Wildflowers are good enough... for the three of us."
"C'mon, medina, I just..."
"Just stop! We're not friends! We're nothing! Get that through your head." Medina walking away
"Medina..."
"Is there really nothin I can do for her?"
"I have already gotten used to it, Kirito. She doesn't want anything to do with us and I respect that. I won't bother her anymore. Plus, she'll be glad that I won't continue on here anymore." Sonic said
*Inside The Training Room*
"We enrolled in the North Centoria Imperial Sowrdcrat Academy almost one year ago."
"This is the last time we'll train together." Sortiliena said
"Yeah."
"And possibly the last time seeing you." Sonic said
"So I want to take this chance to ask you two something..."
"Yes?"
"What is it?"
"There's more to your AIncrad Style than you've let on, isn't there?"
"Well, uh..."
"Bet she means high-level Sword Skills, but this wooden sword can't handle them."
"I've spent many a night wondering how you can be so sure of yourselves you two. It just doesn't make sense when you practice a non-traditional style Then I realized there must be some deeper strength still hidden within you two. I want to see what that is. I wish to know all that makes you Kirito and Sonic the swordsmen." Sortiliena said
"Alright, Leina. We, promise, before you graduate- we Will show you the highest of the Aincrad Style's Secret Arts." Kirito said
"Just for you, Liena." Sonic said
"Thank you two. Okay, then let's begin! Show me everything you both learned the past year!" Sortiliena said
"Yes, ma'am!" Kirito said
"Got it!" Sonic said
Moments later, the three were dueling each other. Sortiliena and Sonic were walking around slowly while starring at each other. Sonic does the first move and summons spinning blue-green swords around him. He then charges at Sortiliena and does a slash at her which she blocks it no problem. Sortiliena counters back and performs a powerful 3-hit attack at Sonic and destroying the spinning swords in the process. Sortiliena notices while performing her attack, notices Sonic standing still and the sword going through him without him getting hit by the sword. This was Sonic's Hyper-sense move as he moved so fast, it looks like he was standing in one place. Thus, not getting hit by Sortiliena's attack. Once Sortiliena completed her attack, she jumps right back and looks at Sonic with a smile on her face.
"I'm guessing this is one of you own moves you hid for quite some time, right, Sonic?" Sortiliena said
"What can I say? I'm the fastest Hedgehog ever." Sonic said
"Alright, this should be fun."
Sortiliena charges once again at Sonic but this time, Kirito charges at her as the two clash swords together. Kirito, using his strength pushes Sortiliena back little by little while attempting to attack Sortliena. Sortiliena in the process charges her sword and releases a powerful attack at Kirito. Kirito blocks her attack in time but gets push back while dragging his feet on the ground. Moments later, he charges right back at Sortiliena as he charges up his sword and performs a vertical attack on her. Sortiliena backflips away from the attack just In time. However, Sonic was already charging up at her with his sword glowing and releases a powerful swing towards Sortiliena. Sortiliena quickly blocks it as the two clash swords together, trying to take them off their feet. Soon after, the two start slashing at each other, releasing powerful sword attacks while leaving slash marks as well. The two kept slashing at each other until the two dash at each other and clang swords one more time before pushing each other away. Sortiliena charges at Sonic but notices Kirito jumping over Sonic and clanging swords with him. Sortiliena pushes Kirito back as she jumps back one last time, charging up her sword. Kirito and Sonic do so as well as they both charge up their swords as well. The three look at each other before charging at each other and clashing swords together, causing a shockwave and the whole room to vibrate. soon after, the three-stop clanging swords and stepped back from each other.
"Phew... Thank you so much." Kirito said
"This is by far the best fight I had in a while." Sonic said
"Execellent work, you two. You grown so much since we first began." Sortiliena said
"We still have a long way to go." Kirito said
"This is not the end for us." Sonic said
"You sell yourself short. Have I ever once gave you empty praise?"
"Never. You're always extremely honest and straightforward." Kirito said
"I appreicate people like that." Sonic said
"Heh. You two know me too well. It's curious. Your progress delights me, but I also feel a little left behind."
"Liena..."
"This is our final training session, but you're still my pages until I graduate. You two are stuck with me until the end." Sortiliena said
"Might as well since I'll be leaving as well." Sonic said
"Well, lucky us. Glad we get to continue to enjoy your rigorous instruction."
"Will you still think so after I tell you to do a hundred swings right now?" Sortiliena said
"Easy!" Sonic said
"th-That's maybe a bit too rigorous..."
"Hehe. Joking aside- Kirito, Sonic, I have a request for you two and Eugeo. Evidently, a beast has been stalking around noble's private property." Sortiliena said
"Sure. Will ask Eugeo and let you know."
"Always helping out others." Sonic said
"Good, I'll be counting on you then."
*With Eugeo*
"Oh, hey, there you are, Eugeo. Watering the flowers?" Kirito said
"Look at these beautiful flowers." Sonic said
"I had a feeling a certain someone forgot." Eugeo said
"Thanks."
"I have to say, I'm impressed. The flowers are already budding."
"I've failed three times already, so I hope they decide to bloom this time." Kirito said
"We've been at this for six months, and I'm still surprised you enjoy gardening." Eugeo said
"Honestly, I didn't know that about myself, either..." Kirito said
"This is the first time seeing Kirito actually do something productive." Sonic said
"Hey!"
"I've been thinking, maybe this is a sign your memories are coming back. You could have done some gardening at home before you ended up in Rulid. Or it could have even been your Calling."
"O-Oh, I dunno... I don't have much gardening knowledge..."

"I mean, you're here, working towards becoming Integrity Knights, for me. You're just trying to help me search for Alice, right? But if you remember your old lives, and where you grew up..."

"We're not going anywhere, promise. I'm sure we were swordsmen before this, even if I myself did do a little gardening. And as swordsmen, we want to win the Four-Empire Unification Tournament." Kirito said
"Why would we just ditch you behind? You're our best friend and we all want to succeed together." Sonic said
"Kirito... Sonic..."
"Also, I had a favor to ask you too, Eugeo."
"Getting right into the working together stuff, I see. What is it?"
"Can I borrow your Blue Rose Sword one of these days? We promised Leina will show her our full potential before she graduated. And I'm thinking of doing it during our extracurricular lesson." Kirito asks
"I already have my sword ready to show her." Sonic said
"I've got no problem with you using my Blue Rose Sword..."
"What about it?"
"But did you forget what tomorrow is, Kirito? I assumed that was why you came looking for me."
"Huh? What's tomorrow?"
"I can't believe it! You were looking forward to it so much!" Eugeo said
"Oh, right! It'll be ready tomorrow! Can't believe it's been a whole year already."
"So, do you still need my Blue Rose Sword?"
"Nah, I'll use mine. You wanna come to pick it up with us?"
"I'd love to." Eugeo said
