Sandy walked into Shadow's guarded room, and brought her basic care items that he demanded she be given as their prisoner. Shadow was leaning back on the bed she was given until Sandy came into site and the door behind him shut tight.

"I uh…" Sandy coughed nervously as he approached the quite wasteland woman. He then sat her hygiene necessities down on the other side of her bed. "I couldn't have ya being held here without the basics. I wanted ta get ya more, but Brand talked the Overseer into just this. My apologies." Sandy looked down somewhat ashamed.

Shadow stood up and then looked down at the lot of goods the small male squirrel just placed in front of her and smiled letting out a chuckle. "You vault dwellers really are soft." She then walked up near him before taking a seat on the edge of the bed. "Where I come from… The items you get for being held hostage are bullets in your skull, or endless rape until they find their bullets."

Sandy cringed and shivered in discomfort hearing her words. "I don't want ta live in a world like that." He breathed heavily before she gripped his forearm and pulled his face next to hers.

"You always have. You've just been lucky enough to avoid the truth of it." She then released her grip on him and then pulled the sack of items he brought her towards herself. "Any food in here?" She questioned not hiding her amazement in the items he had brought her.

"They haven't fed ya yet?" Sandy questioned trying to hide his irritation.

"Not uncommon to not feed pensioners, but you people seem to still be pushovers, so I thought I'd ask." Shadow then went back looking through the items the squirrel had brought her.

"We ain't pushovers, and I'm gonna get ya food." Sandy wasn't sure if he should be angry at her or Brandon. The more he looked over at her as he dialed his brother's line, and waited for him to pick up, the more he realized he'd be hard pressed to be upset by her.

"Hey there my itty-bitty brother!" Randy teased through the walkie.

"Randy, I need ya to bring our guest a meal. I'm gonna start testing her soon, but I want her ta be able ta eat by the time I'm done." Sandy informed his sibling.

"Yer supposed ta feed a girl before ya start probing her, ya silly virgin!" Randy laughed as Sandy clenched his jaw.

"If ya aren't here with a decent meal in 10 minutes, I'm telling The Overseer why we are short on so much of the hard alcohol from storage."

"Wow!" Randy now started to laugh nervously. "I ain't use ta you being so…" Randy trailed off as if coming to a conclusion without his brother input. "heh." Sandy could see the grin his brother was wearing even though they were talking over walkies. "I'll be right there, bro!" Randy cheerfully stated before hanging up.

Sandy was glad his brother was doing as he asked, but he was a little annoyed that he was so happy to do so after giving him such crap only moments ago.

Sandy watched Shadow looked over the items he brought her for the 3rd time before coughing to catch her attention. She looked at him blankly as she sat down the item she had been handling. "Would it be alright if I check your vital signs to start?" Sandy tried to smile politely but found himself becoming nervous and likely coming off as very strange to her.

"Alight." She agreed as she stood up and pulled her shirt off, as security took her armor, before starting to pull down her pants.

"No!" Sandy yelled as his face became hot, and likely pink. "You can keep yer cloths on." The male doctor turned away from her and took a few deep breaths to try to calm down his before turning back towards the woman as she looked at him blankly before pulling up her pants and putting her shirt back on.

"You vault dwellers are even more odd than the stories I've been told." After she adjusted her tattered, tight, gray, shirt she sat back down on the bedside and waiting for the male to examine her.

Sandy sat his bag of medical equipment down next to her and tried to keep his eyes off her large chest as he started laying things out on the bed. He found himself fighting to keep him mind on professional goals, but continued to struggle to keep himself from becoming some untamed beast as his eyes darted to her full perky breast to her womanly hips and then to her strong yet seductive face. Her lips… he was so drawn in and hated himself for being so hung up on these things about her. He shouldn't want those things from her unless he liked her as a person… at least that is what his mother taught him.

"You've never been in a vault before?" Sandy question as he put his head lamp on and put one of his hands under her jaw to lift up her head before starting to place his ungloved hands on her jaw and neck.

"I have. Just not one with people still living in it." She closed her eyes as she let Sandy preform his careful examination on her fully clothed body.

"So, it isn't the first time you've altered a transmitter beacon before?" He asked her as he lifted her left hand and placed a few fingers on her pulse.

She smiled lightly with her eyes still closed. "No, Doctor. I'm not the one that altered your fancy beacons. I have a source, and I give him a cut. But I don't always need beacons for finding vaults… sometimes word of mouth is far more worthwhile… this case in point."

"Oh?" Sandy quested as she opened her eyes and looked up at him.

"If I had known you people were still held up in here, I wouldn't have come alone." She let a sly grin cross her face that cause him to scowl at her a bit. "Good to know." She spoke to herself.

"What?" Sandy questioned as he pulled out some more tools to look her over with.

"Good to know that you have a backbone after all… despite…. Well… earlier."

"Excuse me?!" Sandy questioned intently at her. "I defended you, and you're insulting me?!"

"Don't get me wrong, as I apricate what you did for me, but at the same time I understood your little foxes' stance. I wasn't sure why you defending me, but now I think I understand. You're a doctor and want to help people…. I guess you think you can help me, but I admire that you still have a limit. It's an attractive trait." The hedgehog smiled lightly as she continued to look at him.

Sandy turned away again and sighed…finding himself becoming wound up by her once again… Maybe if he opened up to her, he'd get over this odd fetish. "My name is Sandy, not Doctor."

"Sandy?" She quested as if she was caught off guard. "Is it a nickname?"

"No." He grumbled as he looked away from her.

"Are you a woman?" She asked still confused.

He now looked back at her angry. "NO!"

"Then…" She started before stopping as she seemed to realized it was far more info than what needed to be shared.

"Mah folks…" Sandy started. "The ultra sound they saw with me and my twin brother, Randy, they saw I was much smaller and they saw he was very male, but I was kinda not so easy ta see so they thought I was a girl. There were set on Randy and Sandy, so even when I was born a boy…. I kept my name…. Sandy."

"And you still go by it?" She asked.

"Of course! I love my folks, and I'm proud of da names they gave me. I don't care what no one else thinks…" Sandy looked down almost if he was somewhat ashamed before looking up again. "What's yer name?"

"Shadow." She responded. "I don't have a story about my name like you do, but then again I never knew my parents."

"Oh. I'm sorry ta here that, miss." He frowned.

"Please don't call me that. My name is Shadow." She looked at him very focused.

"Of course, Shadow." He responded as they both looked into each other's eyes for some time.
