"Nya we've been hacking our way through trees for 2 hours now! Let's at least rest," Jay urged.
Nya continued to slice her blade through the branches and twigs.
"We have to find Lloyd and Zane, and the size of this Island isn't helping with the search," Nya replied.
Jay reluctantly continued to follow Nya further into this forest, panting as he did so.
"Wait. Did you hear that?" Nya asked.
They paused for a moment listening for whatever Nya had heard.
"I don't hear-" Jay started.
"Shhh quite!"
Jay shrugged and kept his mouth shut, putting in somewhat of an effort to listen. Nya heard a footstep-like sound and immediately turned to follow it.
"Wait, Nya! What if its not them," Jay whispered.
"Lets hope it is. For both our sakes," she responded.
They waited, and waited near the bushes as the footsteps grew nearer. Untill something emerged out of the bushes in front of them. Nya took out her sword, and Jay his nunchucks.
"Ay ay ay, chill out Nya!" Said the figure in front of them.
Nya got a closer look at who was there.
"Lloyd, Zane!" She announced, relieved that it was only the rest of her friends.
"We thought we would never find you guys!" said Jay.
"Have you had any luck with Kai and Cole?" Zane asked.
Nya shook her head.
"Nothing. It's like we're going in circles," she admitted.
"Don't worry Nya, we'll find them," Jay reassured.
"Ugh stop pushing Roalder," Flaer complained.
"I'm not pushing shithead, you are," Roalder responded.
The duo were pushing their way through the forest changing their voices and looks along the way.
"How is it so easy for you to change your voice already," Flaer asked with his still raspy voice.
"Maybe I'm stronger," he responds.
Flaer rolls his eyes clearly not amused.
"There's no way you out of all deranged people could be stronger than me," Flaer responded while putting his head up and pointing at himself.
Roalder scoffs and continues to push through the trees with his brother.
"Sepitus is gonna kill us if we dont find them soon," Flaer says, annoyed.
"We have heightend senses, there's no way we won't find them before they find us. Trust me," assured Roalder.
"Speaking of that, I can hear talking in the distance. Tell me thats not just me."
"Nope its me too," Flaer responded.
"Here, lemme take a turn cutting through the branches Nya," Lloyd offers.
"It's fine Lloyd, I got it," she responded, not stopping to turn around.
"You were the one hacking at these branches longer than anyone, take a break," Jay insisted, as he went up to her.
Nya didn't listen. Instead she kept on swinging her sword. Jay sighed, and looked back at Lloyd. Lloyd shrugged in response.
"Perhaps it's best we take a rest. All of us," Zane suggested.
"We won't find anyone if we stop now," Nya said.
"And we won't find anyone if we get too exhausted," replied Zane.
"Can't reason with Zane, Nya," Lloyd said as he sat down on the forest floor.
Zane, and Jay sat down after him and Nya turned around to find them all settled down.
She sighed. "Alright, I guess I'll rest too."
"Is my voice good yet?" Flaer asked urgently.
"Yes, yes it is, now common. Make sure you act like your good," Roalder instructed.
"No shit Sherlock. Like I'm gonna go and act all dark in front of them."
Roalder shushed him and converted his own voice to sound normal. The duo walked towards the voices untill they saw the Ninja sitting on the ground a few feet in front of them.
"Shh, I hear something," one of them said.
"Everyone quite," another one demanded.
Flaer looked at Roalder and almost broke out in laughter before being struck with a hand to his mouth.
"I swear on fuking Sepitus, if you laugh," Roalder whispered.
Flaer shook his head, indicating that he won't laugh. Roalder removed his hand and wiped it on his pants in disgust.
"Remember, act good," Roalder informed.
Flaer rolled his eyes and mumbled a "yeah yeah".
The duo straightened up and walked out towards the Ninja.
"Kai!"
"Cole!"
The Ninja ran up to the duo.
"Where were you guys?! We've been looking everywhere!" Lloyd questioned, relieved to see his friends again.
"You gave me a heartattack you Jerk!" Nya scolded as she hit Flaer on the shoulder.
Flaer shrugged it off realized Roalder had done the same, and quickly smiled at Nya.
"Common, you can't really think I got myself hurt did you? I'm practically indestructible," he said confidently.
Roalder put a hand on Flaer and then looked at the rest of the Ninja.
"Good thing is we're ok, so there's no need to worry anymore," he reassured.
Zane went up to Cole and looked around him.
"I can give you a quick check, just in case you have any cuts. You can never be too sure," Zane insisted as he reached out to hold Roalder's arm.
"Nah it's fine buddy, really, we're perfectly fine!" Roalder gave his best smile and proceeded to dust his arm off.
"You'll never guess what we found! It's definitely of your interest," Flaer announced.
The Ninja looked at each other, all curious as to what they found.
"Common! I promise it's something surprising," hinted Flaer, as he turned around to lead the Ninja, with Roalder in the back following.
"What do you think they've found?" Zane asked.
"Maybe they found something cool! Like a huge statue!," Jay piped.
"I just hope it's something worth seeing, and not something Kai just thinks is cool," said Nya.
Lloyd laughed a bit before adding in his own assumption.
"Pretty sure its something of our interest. If Cole finds it interesting, then I'm sure its good."
Flaer led the group up and towards the cave. Making sure momentarily that Roalder was still behind them.
"Alright we're here," announced Flaer.
Jay looked confused as he studied the cave in front of them.
"Whats so great about a cave?" He questioned.
"There will probably be something inside of it Jay," Lloyd answered as he walked into the cave with Nya, and Zane following.
Roalder looked a Jay and gave him a convincing smile.
"Common zaptrap. Its not like we're gonna get eaten," he said ironically.
Jay looked at the cave, then to Flaer, and back to Roalder.
"Alright alright I'm going," he finally said.
As Jay hesitantly walked into the cave, Flaer looked at Roalder and gave him a sinister smile. They're plan was going well. The duo walked in the cave and just before they stopped walking the cave closed in on all of them.
"Is that supposed to happen?" Nya asked.
Flaer had to act surprised, so he looked over at Roalder for approval, to which Roalder nodded his head slightly.
"That actually didn't happen before. I don't know what caused this," Flaer lied.
"Do you think this cave could be artificial?" Zane asked.
"Perhaps I could get a scan of it."
Zane scanned the area, moving his head smoothly, corresponding with his body movement.
"So? Is it not real Zane?" Nya asked.
"Eh, partially. That front area. The one that closed on us is artificial. The rest, I am uncertain of," admitted Zane.
Looks like Sepitus' scan-proof cave worked Flaer thought.
