The next morning at breakfast, Raven was eating by herself when Apple approached her table.
"Hey, mind if I sit next to you?" asked Apple.
"Go ahead," said Raven while motioning to an empty seat.
"I can't believe what I'm seeing," said Daring as the whole castleteria watched Apple sit down next to Raven.
"Did you sleep alright last night in your new room?" asked Apple.
"Yeah, I slept fine, but it did feel weird sleeping somewhere that wasn't my original room," said Raven. Apple then noticed Cedar trying to get Cerise's attention, but the hooded girl just walked away while pulling on her hood with one hand and holding her tray in the other.
"That's good; hey, I just had an idea," said Apple as she turned back to the witch with a bright smile.
"What would that be?" asked Raven who did not trust that smile which was the same one that always got her into trouble.
"How about we go to the movies this Satinday?" asked Apple.
"Are⦠are you asking me out on a date?" asked Raven as her face went bright red while feeling the eyes of everyone in the castleteria fall on them even more than when Apple had sat down next to her.
"Is that a no?" asked Apple who was pouting now.
"No, I mean I'd love to see a movie with you," said Raven who was panicking at the sight of Apple pouting.
"Great, meet you outside the Glass Slipper at noon then," said Apple, who went back to her cheerful smile which was even brighter than before. Silence then fell on the entire castleteria as everyone slowly went back to eating.
"Can't believe Apple actually did that," thought Briar as she took a quick glance at Faybelle who was sitting at a far off table.
"Maybe one day I'll have even half of her courage," she thought as she put her attention back on her food while blushing.
