The next day came as everyone came to the soccer field to help support Kim as she scraped some ground debris off of her shoe. Bonnie and the other players raced around as they played without the redheaded girl.
"Hey, you wanna kick this bad boy around a little?" Athena offered as she tossed the ball to Kim. "After all, we gotta get ready to make the team next year."
"Can I pretend it's Bonnie?" asked Kim.
Athena pointed. "Way ahead of you!" she replied.
Kim turned the ball on its side to find a Sharpie-marker sketch of Bonnie's face and name. "It's like you were born to be my B.F.F.!" she exclaimed to Athena.
"Oh, I hope Ron doesn't get jealous of that." Jenny remarked.
"Ah, I doubt he will." Martin shrugged off a bit.
"I've felt the same thing myself," Athena smiled at Kim. "Let's play."
Kim began to kick the ball around like a professional soccer player before kicking the ball over at her new friend.
"Kim, you're so good." Athena smiled.
"You try." Kim smiled back as Athena then took her turn.
And so the both of them engaged in a friendly game of two-person soccer. The others smiled from that as Elyse sketched in her journal like in her own little Diary of a Snarky Wallflower type from when she was a student in Wayside School.
"Diary of a Snarky Wallflower?" Kimberly asked.
"Seems to fit me, no?" Elyse shrugged a bit.
"Hm... Yeah, I suppose it does." Kimberly said.
"Like a glove." LJ agreed.
"Maybe I'll get my own movie like those other diary kids." Elyse chuckled a bit.
"Maybe," replied LJ. "I'd go see it."
"Totally." Martin agreed.
"Heh. Thanks, guys," Elyse replied. "Maybe I'll go on the red carpet and invite you guys to the Wrap Party."
"Sounds like a plan!" Jenny chuckled.
"Great! I'll see ya there." Elyse winked with a laugh with them.
"It's always good to laugh with friends." Kimberly smiled from that.
And everyone had to agree on that. Athena was shown to be very skilled in the game of soccer so far as she did stunts almost like something out of a spy movie.
"You're a fast learner." Kim smiled at her new friend.
"And you're a great teacher." Athena smiled back as they shared a high-five.
"Athena, dude, you have skills." Ron beamed as he ran over to see the girls.
"Kinda like Pelé!" Martin added.
"A volcano goddess knows how to play soccer?" Athena asked.
"Oh, no, no, he means the soccer player," Jenny clarified. "He's amazing."
"I was gonna say David Beckham, but I figured Pelé worked better." LJ replied.
"Oh... Right... Well, thank you." Athena smiled bashfully.
"No problem." LJ replied.
"You know what?" Kim began to suggest to Athena. "How about the next mission Ron and I go on, you tag along?"
"Oh... Is that wise or safe?" Kimberly asked.
"Sure," Kim smiled. "We'll look after her of course."
"As will we." Raul added.
Ron shrugged with a small smile as he seemed to be cool with it. Athena squealed as she jumped up and down from that.
"You remind me of a bit of an older Dizzy Tremaine," LJ remarked in a near Slappy Squirrel fashion. He then blinked. "Did I just make a Slappy Squirrel joke?" he then asked himself before shuddering briefly. "...Egh."
"Must've been your mother's side of the family." Jenny guessed.
"I hope that was just a one-time thing..." LJ replied.
Kimberly patted him on the back to help soothe him.
"Okay. I'm gonna freak out about this eventually, but first I'm gonna go home and shave my head." Athena told the others as her hair was a mess.
"I think I have a better idea." Kim smiled.
Ron glanced at Kim as Athena blew some of her hair out of her eyes. The girls soon went to the salon. LJ sighed before taking out his phone and made a call.
"Salutations." A voice replied.
"Hey, Zo," LJ smiled. "What're you doing?"
"Thinking of maybe writing a story." Zofia replied.
"Oh, cool," LJ smiled. "Just like Mom."
"Yeah, David and I decided to try to expand our creative sides." Zofia smiled back.
"There's using your noodles." LJ chuckled.
"It's not the same without ya, but we hope you're having fun." Zofia smiled softly.
"I'm doing my best." LJ replied.
"I'm sure it's easy with Kimberly there." Zofia teased a little bit.
LJ blushed visibly. "...Speaking of which, how's Richard?" he retorted.
"Oh... He's good..." Zofia smiled bashfully now herself. "He came by the other day. He hopes we can all get together and do something someday."
"Glad to know that." LJ smirked.
Zofia chuckled a bit. "I do wonder though if I could be as talented as Mother."
"Hey, you have the potential," LJ said. "You might be even better someday."
"You're just saying that." Zofia smiled bashfully.
"Could be," replied LJ. "Doesn't mean it couldn't happen someday."
"Aww... Thanks..." Zofia beamed as that seemed to make her day.
"No problem," LJ replied. "Guess I'll catch you later."
"All right," Zofia said. "Thank you for calling. It was good to hear your voice."
"Likewise." LJ replied.
"The girls are having their girl time, so we're trying to have some macho guy time!" Raul spoke up through the phone.
"Oh. Hello, Raul." Zofia greeted the Cassanova wannabe.
"Yeah. He summed it up." LJ agreed.
"Is Raul behaving himself though?" Zofia rolled his eyes. "I swear, this Johnny Bravo-like attitude is gonna land him in trouble one of these days."
"He's doing his best," LJ replied. "And so far, it's pretty good."
"Well, that's good," Zofia said. "Well, I guess if you can, just bring me back a little souvenir."
"Hm... I'll see what I can do." LJ replied. "Postea capiunt!"
"Aww..." Zofia beamed from that. "Postea capiunt to you too, Brother."
LJ chuckled as he hung up.
"That was nice of you to call your sister." Raul remarked.
"I just wanted to make sure she was okay." LJ replied.
"Well, that was good of ya," Raul replied. "I'm sure if I had a sister, I'd call her all the time."
"I'd call my sister, but it feels like I've been with her all my life." Martin commented.
"Well, we are twins." Jenny replied.
"Oh, hey, Sis," Martin said. "How's the salon going?"
"I know this might seem girly and you're guys and all, but I hope you like Athena's new look," Jenny smiled. "She looks really great."
"Well, I guess we'll see." replied Martin.
"Athena's taking a bit longer than we thought, but she said she would see us later," Kim said as she came out of the salon with Ron. "You guys hungry?"
The others looked at each other with small shrugs and decided to get going since Athena would be busy for a little while.
And so they went to Bueno Nacho, naturally.
"I'm just gonna go out on a limb and assume most of the cartoon's events have already happened, save for those of So the Drama." LJ muttered to the others.
"That sounds good to me." Elyse replied.
"It would explain why Kim and Ron still see each other as just friends, and why Rufus hasn't appeared yet." Martin added.
"Huh... I guess I didn't think of Rufus..." Kimberly said bashfully. "I always found him cute for a little bald rat."
"He was alright in my book." LJ replied with a shrug.
"Whatcha guys talkin' about?" Ron asked as he got his usual Naco.
"Oh, a truly great cartoon from The Golden Age of Television." Elyse replied bashfully.
"Long story, it'd take too long to explain, if we're being honest." added Jenny.
"Well... All right..." Ron shrugged as he sat down with Kim to eat their food.
They all shared their food with each other for a while until Kim's communicator went off.
"What's the sitch?" Kim asked.
"Shego just busted into a top-secret government lab," Wade reported urgently. "I'm sending someone to pick you guys up now."
"Tell our new recruit it's mission time," Kim replied. "Ron, suit up."
"Talk about pitch-perfect timing," remarked Raúl. "I was going stir crazy just sitting here!"
"Just one more bite." Ron said as Kim walked off.
Kim soon walked back over in her crime-fighting outfit as Ron tried to finish his food before going on a mission.
"Are you ever going to tell me how you do that?" Ron asked his best friend.
"Do what?" Kim smirked innocently. "Come on, let's go."
Ron looked at the group, who just shrugged in response. He soon followed behind. They soon left Bueno Nacho as it was time to go.
"It's Hero Time." Kimberly said as bravely as she could.
Ron soon came out with his hero outfit as it was time to go.
They came to meet Athena at the salon as her hair was more straight and stylish looking like Kimberly or Jenny's hair and she wore a purple top with black fingerless gloves, a blue belt, black stretchy pants with matching shoes with hints of blue.
"Wowee!" Raul gushed with hearts in his eyes. "You look amazing!"
"He makes a point," LJ nodded. "You make that look work."
"Oh... Thanks, you guys! You're so sweet." Athena beamed from that.
"I like the colorful streaks." Jenny smiled.
"Whoa... Athena. You look amazing," Ron added. "You've out-Kimmed Kim."
"Where'd you get that?" Raul asked.
"Okay, well, don't laugh, but, remember when I said I was working on a better Kim cosplay?" Athena prompted.
"Yeah?" The others nodded.
"I actually decided to make myself a mission suit, in case the time came I had to battle evil, and... Today is that day." Athena then explained happily.
"Then your timing couldn't be BETTER!" Martin replied.
"It's... Perfect." Kim smiled at the new girl.
"Oh, my gosh, thank you." Athena beamed.
"And, with the hair, it's..." Ron added. "It's extra you."
Athena beamed as a violet-colored car was soon riding over right in front of them.
"That almost looks like Mal's limo." LJ commented.
"That's our ride." Kim replied.
"Sweet!" Raúl exclaimed.
A woman dressed in a blue dress suit with silver high-heels and a hat stepped out of the limo.
"...You look so familiar..." LJ said to her.
"What's the sitch?" The woman smiled as she shared a special handshake with Kim.
The group blinked and glanced at each other in disbelief.
"I guess you're a fan of my music." The woman guessed.
"Poppy Blue, oh, my gosh!" Athena gushed to the woman. "I have been a fan of your music forever."
"Oh, my gosh, your hair is on point," The woman smiled at her before looking curious. "Who are you?"
"I'm Athena, the newest member of Team Possible." Athena beamed.
"Kim, you're gonna have to watch out for this one," Poppy smirked at the redheaded heroine. "Because she's fierce! And I should know, because, you know, I invented Fieeerce~..."
Athena beamed sheepishly at that.
"Poppy Blue... I can't say I know who that is, but you do seem familiar somehow, ma'am." Kimberly said to the woman.
"That was amazing," Athena beamed from the singing. "Okay, so how do you know Kim? D-Did she save you from someone? Like, like zombies?" she then asked. "Ninjas?" she then gasped. "Zombie ninjas?"
"Worse. The IRS," Poppy clarified as she led them to the limo to leave. "Turns out Kimmy here is a whiz at international tax law. Anyway, this train is leaving the station... All abooooard~"
"Whoot-Whoot!" LJ chimed in as they got inside.
"Well, whoever you are, you sing like an angel." Elyse said to Poppy Blue on the way into the limo.
"No doubt about that." Martin nodded.
Poppy smiled from that as they came into the limo to ride off as Kim and Ron had work to do now.
And so they drove until they eventually reached what looked like an island in the midst of a lake in a park.
"A secret island... Classic." Ron commented.
"Bad Guy 101, next to the volcano lair." Jenny added.
"Wade, any intel on the secret entrance?" Kim asked her expert.
"I'm working on it, Kim," Wade replied as he seemed to struggle. "This one's more secret than usual."
"Ah, Wade, you're a smart kid," Kimberly coaxed. "I know you can figure it out."
Everyone decided to fan out and scout the area. Athena spotted an apple tree nearby and decided to check it out. She pulled on one of the apples, which was apparently attached to a string. This opened up a pair of double doors that were hidden in the middle of the ground.
"Wow, Athena. That was lucky." Elyse commented.
Athena smiled softly from that.
"Wow, Athena, how'd you figure that out?" Ron asked as he felt amazed.
"I don't know, um... That is not an apple tree," Athena smiled bashfully as she came by the redheaded girl. "Uh, Kim?"
"Solid sleuthing there, buddy." Kim smiled admirably.
"Yeah... Downright amazing!" Raúl smiled, hearts circling his head.
Athena giggled from that. "Thank you, Raul, you're so charming."
Raul beamed from that as he, as usual, seemed to fall in love. They soon stepped onto a platform that seemed to sink them down like an elevator shaft. As they were being lowered, the doors shut back behind them. Shortly after, they were lowered into a large, expansive bunker full of science equipment.
