[The scene transitions to Pride Rock in the daytime. The lionesses are gathered in two rows on a trail outside the entrance. Nala strides between them to join Simba ,Daniel Tiger and His friends and family. at the bottom of the trail.]

Lionesses:*laughs* You must be so proud, Nala. This is Kiara's first !

Simba:sighs* [Simba smiles as Nala sits next to him.]

Daniel Tiger: I can't believe this is her first hunt.

A lioness:[from offscreen] There she is!

Rafiki:[Kiara emerges at the top of the trail. Rafiki stands on a nearby rock.] Kiara.

[Zazu alights on a branch and smiles.]

Timon:Aha! [Timon hugs Pumbaa.]

Lionesses:[Rafiki gestures to the trail. Kiara strides in-between the rows of lionesses.] You can do it. It's your day. Good luck, Kiara! Your first time. My, how you've grown!

Nala:Nala walks out to meet Kiara. They embrace.] You'll do just fine.

Kiara:[Simba looks down in concern.] Daddy? [Simba looks up.] You have to promise to let me do this on my own. Promise?

Simba:[Simba looks at Nala, who lifts her chin knowingly.] All right. I promise.

Kiara and Simba:[Kiara grins and bounds toward Simba. They embrace.] *purrs*

Timon and Pumbaa:[Timon and Pumbaa exchange sorrowful glances. Timon hugs Pumbaa.]

*sobs*

[Kiara breaks her embrace with Simba, and they exchange one final look. She bounds to the edge of the trail and overlooks the Pride Lands, where a herd of topi grazes peacefully. She squints excitedly at the herd, then looks over her shoulder at Simba. He nods, and she bounds away. He strides to the edge of the trail and watches her go, clearly worried. Timon and Pumbaa approach.]

Simba:[in an aside to Timon and Pumbaa] Make sure she doesn't get hurt.

Timon and Pumbaa:[Timon and Pumbaa look at each other.] Ah! [Timon and Pumbaa casually shamble away.] *hums* [Timon and Pumbaa dart offscreen.]

Simba:Daniel Tiger.

Daniel Tiger: Yes Simba?

Simba: You need to keep on her okay.

Daniel Tiger: Aright Simba if you happy I do it.

[The scene transitions to the open savanna. Kiara stalks a herd of grazing topi, but steps on a twig.]

Kiara:*gasps*

[The topi look up at the noise and start to run away. Kiara chases them in desperation. The scene transitions to the Elephant Graveyard. Several geysers steam. A full-grown Nuka and Vitani walk to the edge of an overhang and overlook the Elephant Graveyard. Vitani is carrying shoots in her mouth.]

Nuka:[Nuka winces.] Eurgh. [Nuka scratches his arm.] This place is even creepier since the hyenas ran off.

Vitani:[Vitani rolls her eyes.] Oh, sheesh.

Nuka:*scoffs* [Vitani hops off the ledge.] I'm not scared, okay? [From offscreen, a geyser steams. Nuka leaps after Vitani in fear.] *whimpers* [Vitani deposits the shoots on a geyser. Nuka walks toward Vitani, then pauses in front of a geyser.] I just don't know why we have to be here, that's all. If Kovu is so [Nuka arches his back downward.] special, why does he need us? [Nuka starts to walk off, but flips around when a geyser steams.] I never even had a chance! [Behind Nuka, the geyser explodes. He leaps into the air.] *yelps* [Nuka races away and cowers next to Vitani.] *whimpers*

Vitani:[Vitani rolls her eyes. The geyser next to her explodes, igniting the tips of the shoots.] That's it! [Vitani picks up a fiery shoot in her jaws.] Now, come on. Kiara has started her hunt. We have to move quickly. [Vitani strides past Nuka.]

Nuka:[Nuka holds a shoot close to the geyser. It explodes in his face.] Ooh! Fire! [Nuka and Vitani bound away.] *cackles*

Daniel Tiger: I Hope Kiara will be alright.

(Daniel Tiger bump someone)

Daniel Tiger: Oh i so Sorry.

?: That's okay you Didn't mean to do.

(Daniel Tiger saw a lion cub.)

Daniel Tiger: Are you Lion Cub?

Lion Cub: Of course I am

Daniel Tiger: So Who You?

Lion Cub: Allow me to introduce myself. My name is AJ The Forever Lion Cub.

Daniel Tiger: Forever Lion Cub?

AJ: That Right

Daniel Tiger: Simba never tell me that a forever lion cub in Pride Lands

[The scene transitions to the open savanna. Pumbaa's tail sticks above the grass, swiveling from left to right. Timon's head comes into view. He looks behind him at Pumbaa's tail.]

Timon:*yells*

Pumbaa:Timon and Pumbaa emerge from the grass. They freeze and look around.] Hup! [Timon and Pumbaa exchange glances, then run on.] Hup! [Timon and Pumbaa run through the grass. They hide behind a tree trunk.] Hup!

Timon:[Timon mimics holding a walkie-talkie.] Tango-Charlie-Alpha. What's your position?

Pumbaa:Uh... Upright, head turned slightly to the left, [Pumbaa lifts his tail.] tail erect.

Timon:Why do I bother? [Timon uses his hands as if they're spyglasses. He notices Kiara prowling along nearby.] Ah-ha. [Timon ducks inside the hollow log.]

Kiara:[Kiara stalks toward a herd of topi. She notices a rock and steps carefully over it.] *gasps* [Kiara continues prowling forward, but her back paw hits the rock.] *gasps* [The topi lift their heads

and run away. Kiara chases them desperately.] *grunts* [Kiara struggles to keep up with the herd.] *grunts*

Timon and Pumbaa:[Timon and Pumbaa look up to see the herd of topi charging toward them.] *screams* [Timon and Pumbaa duck down, and the topi leap over them.]

Timon:This must be where the deer and the antelope play!

Timon and Pumbaa:[Timon and Pumbaa watch the herd go. They turn to find Kiara standing in front of them.] *screams*

Daniel Tiger:(whisper) Okay Aj Let's be Quiet.

AJ(whisper) Okay.

Kiara:*pants*

Timon:[Timon wrings his hands, while Pumbaa grins innocently.] *nervously laughs*

Kiara:Timon, what are you doing here?

Timon:Uh... [Timon spreads his arms wide.] shopping! We thought a nice pelt for the den, [Pumbaa nods frantically, then resumes grinning.] some throw pillows, a little potpourri…

Kiara:My father sent you. After he promised to let me do this on my own. He lied!

Daniel Tiger:(whisper) I knew Simba never let her do this on her own.

Timon:[Timon clasps his hands.] No... He just doesn't want you to get hurt.

Kiara:I should've known he'd never give me a real chance. [Kiara leaps over Timon and Pumbaa, who watch her go.] *sighs* [Kiara charges off into the savanna.] I'll do this on my own, away from the Pride Lands!

Daniel Tiger: Come,Aj let's go.

AJ:Okay.

Timon:'Ey! Wait! [Timon jumps onto Pumbaa's head.] Come back! [Timon and Pumbaa run into the grass.] Oh, who can keep track of her?

Pumbaa:Come on, Kiara! Kiara!

Timon:Kiara, come back! Oh... [Timon and Pumbaa pause in the grass.] She's gone again! [Timon spreads his arms in exasperation.] Somebody's gotta get a beeper for this kid! [Timon and Pumbaa run on.]

(Daniel Tiger and AJ follow Kiara)

Daniel Tiger: Come on Aj we'r got to follow her.

Aj: I can't believe We're following a lioness.

Kiara:[Kiara races across the savanna, her expression stormy.] *pants* [Kiara pauses and looks wistfully over her shoulder before moving on. On a nearby ridge, Nuka and Vitani survey her progress with the fiery shoots still in their mouths.]

Nuka:[Nuka and Vitani bound off the ridge toward the open savanna.] Let's light fires!

Vitani:[Vitani uses her shoot to set fire to the grass.] *cackles*

Nuka:[Nuka uses his shoot to set fire to the grass.] *laughs* [Nuka lights a fire that encircles him completely.] Roasty toasty princess... [Nuka flings his shoot away and hops up and down elatedly.] Roasty toasty princess... [Nuka pauses.] Hey, is it hot in here, or is that just me? [Nuka looks around in concern. He shoots into the air.] Fire! *screams* [Nuka lands outside the circle of fire. He turns back and crouches low to the ground.] *laughs*

Vitani:growls* [Vitani grabs Nuka and pulls him offscreen.] Come on!

[The scene transitions to the open savanna, where Kiara is stalking a herd of topi.]

Daniel Tiger:There She is.

Aj:Come on Daniel Tiger she not go anywhere.

[Suddenly, the topi lift their heads, look around, and run away.]

Kiara:[Kiara races after the herd.] *grunts*

Daniel Tiger Come Aj.

AJ:You don't have to tell me twice.

[Kiara pauses, her nostrils flaring. On the ridge ahead of her, the herd doubles back and starts running toward her, pursued by 's expression turns to horror.]

Kiara:*gasps* [Kiara turns and runs in the opposite direction, with the herd hot on her heels.]

Daniel Tiger: That weird why Kiara ran for?

AJ: Uh Daniel Tiger I think we should run.

Daniel Tiger: Why?

{Daniel Tiger Saw the flames]

[Daniel Tiger and AJ runs]

Zira:[Zira and Kovu survey the fire from a nearby ridge.] The plan is in motion. Go! [Kovu runs off.]

[The scene transitions to Pride Rock, where Simba,and Daniel Tiger'sfriends paces restlessly. Zazu stands nearby. On the distant horizon, black smoke billows into the air.]

Miss Elaina: Guys I worried about Daniel Tiger.

O the Owl:Yeah me too.

Prince Wednesday: Guys relax he and Kiara are fine what could happen to them

Zazu:Prince Wednesday is right Simba. She'll be fine. What could happen?

Katerina Kittycat: Hey what that black smoke comes from?

Simba:Simba pauses abruptly in his pacing and stares at the distant smoke.] *gasps* No... No! Kiara! [Simba runs off.]

O The Owl:Oh no Daniel Tiger.

Zazu:[Zazu flies into the air and stares in consternation at the smoke.] *gasps*

Simba:[Simba bounds down Pride Rock.] Zazu, fly ahead! Find them!

Lionesses:[Simba races past the lionesses, who move to follow him.] *snarls*

[The scene transitions to the middle of the fire. Zebras bray and flee the inferno. Kiara runs after them, her face full of terror.]

AJ: "It's a dead end! We're trapped! Trapped like rachets!"

Daniel Tiger: I know that we got to find Kiara and get to a safe place.

Kiara:pants* *whimpers* [Kiara pauses, her path blocked by flame.] *pants* [Kiara looks over one shoulder at the fire behind her.] *screams* [Kiara runs into an area of thick smoke.] *coughs* [Kiara notices a ridge that is high above the flames.] Huh? [Kiara runs toward the ridge, dodging around several fires.] *grunts* [Kiara leaps and catches onto the ridge with her front paws. She struggles to hold on, nearly falling into the flames below.] *grunts* [Kiara manages to leap to safety.] *grunts* [Kiara collapses.] *moans*

Aj:there she is.

Daniel Tiger: I don't look so good

[Daniel Tiger and Aj Collapses]

[Behind Them Kiara, a dark shape with glowing eyes approaches through the smoke.]

Kovu:*growls*

Kiara:*moans* [Kiara looks up at the stranger weakly.]

Kovu:

[Kovu bares his teeth.] *growls*

Kiara:[Kiara,Daniel Tiger,and Aj collapses again.] *sighs*

Kovu:*snarls*

[Kovu circles around to Kiara's,Daniel Tiger,and AJ's head and lifts her chin with one paw. She is unresponsive. He looks both ways before seizing her by the scruff.]

Kovu:*roars*

[Kovu hefts Kiara,Daniel Tiger,and AJ onto his back.]

Kovu:*snarls*

[Kovu adjusts Kiara,Daniel Tiger,and AJ so they is riding him full-body.]

Kovu:*grunts* [Kovu climbs down the ridge, the fire blazing behind him.] *roars* [Kovu races through a burning forest. A tree falls and blocks his path.] *roars* [Kovu leaps over the tree and heaves himself over a ridge.] *roars* [Kovu,Daniel Tiger,AJ,and Kiara fall down a steep cliff into a lake below.] Ugh! [Kovu emerges above the water. He notices Kiara, Daniel Tiger,and AJ sinking underwater and plunges after them *gasps* [Kovu emerges above the water, gripping Kiara,Daniel,and AJ their scruff.] *grunts* [Kovu swims toward shore, towing Kiara,Daniel Tiger,and AJ.]*pants*

Zazu:[Zazu flies overhead. He notices Kovu,Daniel Tiger,AJ,and Kiara.] *gasps* I must tell Simba! [Zazu flies off.]

Kiara:[Kovu drags Kiara,Daniel Tiger, and AJ onto dry land and lets go of their her scruff.] *coughs* [Kiara weakly opens her eyes.] Where am I?

Kovu:[with a smirk] You're safe in the Pride Lands.

Kiara:The Pride Lands... No! [Kiara stands and juts her head at Kovu, who flinches backward.] Why'd you bring me here? Who do you think you are?!

Daniel Tiger: Uh my hair. hurts AJ you okay

Aj:Yeah I'm fine thank you for noticing.

Kovu:*scoffs* I think I'm the one that just saved your life!

Kiara:Look, I had everything under control.

{The lions confront each other. Kiara begins jumping from side to side, as she had done in their earlier encounter as cubs. Soon Kovu's interest is piqued.} Kovu: What are you doing?

Kiara: {recognizing him} Kovu?

Simba: {off-screen} Kiara!

{Simba and the lionesses from Pride Rock arrive. Simba jumps in front of Kiara, snarling and growling.}

Nala: Kiara! You're all right.

Kiara: Daddy... how could you break your promise?

Simba: It's a good thing I did. I almost lost you. No more hunts for you; not ever!

Kiara: But I was doing just fine! Even before Kovu-

Simba: Kovu? {he roars at Kovu again}

Nala: {surprised at his ferocity} Simba? {Simba glares at Nala, who is now off-screen}

AJ:Oh Boy this is not good.

Mom Tiger: Daniel Tiger! You're all right.

Daniel Tiger: I'm Okay.

Rafiki:[from offscreen] Hey! You! [Rafiki appears on a nearby ridge. Kovu and Simba look at him questioningly.] How dare you save the king's daughter?

Simba:[to Kovu] You saved her? [distrustfully] Why?

Daniel Tiger: Uh Simba he saved me And Aj.

Kovu:I humbly ask to join your pride.

Simba:Simba juts his head at Kovu, who backs away.] No! You were banished with the other Outsiders.

Kovu:I have left the Outsiders. I am a rogue. Judge me now, for who I am. Or am I to be blamed for a crime I didn't commit?

Simba:[Simba begins to pace back and forth.] *snarls*

Nala:Simba, you owe him your daughter's life.

Dad Tiger:Nala Right he also saved Our son's life.

Simba:*growls*

Zazu:[Zazu alights in front of Simba.] Hmm, yes, sire. Clearly, we are in his debt. And royal protocol demands that all debts be paid. [Zazu puts his wings on his hips.] Though, in this case, you might want to make an exception.

Simba:[Simba glances over one shoulder at Kovu.] Hmm. [Kovu closes his eyes and straightens.] My father's law will prevail. For now, I reserve judgment. [Simba walks off.] We'll see who you really are.

Kovu:[Kovu smirks at Kiara.] Hmm. [Kiara grins in delight.]

Zazu:[Zazu turns his back on Kovu.] Hmph! Riffraff. [Zazu flies after Simba.]

Daniel Tiger:Mom,Dad can go Pride Rock?

Mom Tiger: Sure Daniel Tiger.

Daniel Tiger: Mom,Dad this Aj he is forever lion cub.

Aj:Hello.

Daniel Tiger: Hey AJ heve you Sleep Pride Rock.

AJ: Of course Daniel Tiger

Daniel Tiger:Okay let's then.

Kovu:[Kovu smiles sinisterly.] *huffs* [Simba leads the trek home. Kovu follows with the same devious grin.] *growls*

[The scene transitions to Pride Rock. Dark clouds roll in overhead as Zazu flies toward the summit. Night falls, and the pride returns to Pride Rock. The lionesses enter the den.]

Simba:[Simba paces outside the den.] *growls* [Simba turns and watches as Kovu moves to follow the lionesses into Pride Rock.] *gasps* [Simba hastens toward Kovu and strides past him intimidatingly.] *growls* [Kovu watches Simba in disgust.]

[Kovu turns and walks away from the den. Kiara emerges on Pride Rock and watches with concern as Kovu settles down to sleep next to a tall rock on the summit. She approaches him, while he sits, glaring at the ground.]

Kiara:Hey, [Kovu glances up at Kiara.] uh... *chuckles* Thanks for saving Daniel Tiger,Aj,andme today.

Kovu:

*scoffs* [Kovu stands.] What kind of hunter are you anyway, princess? You almost got yourself killed out there.

Kiara:[provoked] What?

Kovu:[with a smirk] You wouldn't last three days on your own.

Kiara:Oh, and I suppose you could teach me?

Kovu:[Kovu looks over one shoulder at Kiara, smirking.] *scoffs* Yeah. [Kovu walks off.]

Simba:from offscreen] Kiara!

Kiara:Kiara glances over one shoulder.] Coming! [Kiara races after Kovu and steps into his path.] All right. Impress me. [Kiara strides past Kovu.] We start at dawn.

Kovu:*chuckles* I look forward to it.

Daniel Tiger:{Yawning} I am so tired.

AJ:{Yawning}Me too Daniel Tiger.

[At a distance from Pride Rock, Nuka and Zira watch Kiara stride back toward the interior of Pride Rock.]

Nuka:splutters* D-did you see that?! He let them go! If that were me, I–

Zira:Hush. [Nuka ducks low.] The fire rescue worked perfectly, and Simba fell for it. [Zira bends down to Nuka's level.] Now, the closer Kovu gets to the daughter,and the little tiger [Zira strides past Nuka.] the closer he gets to Simba. [Nuka gestures wordlessly.] And once he has Simba alone... [Zira slashes at a branch. Nuka ducks just in time.] *snarls*
