Correspondences
About two weeks after our big outing things went back to normal for me. I was spending my days in Florida at NXT training the new crop of talent. I was also spending my days in New York seeing my family.
But, boy, that night out was a blast. I was shocked to find out that many of the indy wrestlers did not drink! I, on the other hand, love to drink! I was throwing drinks back and dancing on the dance floor. I had a great time!
I was in my Florida apartment one day when I received a notification on my phone. I checked it and was surprised to find it was a Twitter DM from Adam "Hangman" Page. I had met him that night we all had gone out, but really didn't get to talk to him much. I opened the DM.
Hey! That was a fun night we all had! I know we didn't chat much, but I didn't want to talk about work or wrestling that night. I would be remiss if I didn't ask for your advice on how I can get a tryout for WWE. Thanks so much!
I knew many of the Indy guys knew that I helped scout for talent. These DMs were typical in my inbox. I replied to Adam to the best of my ability. Giving him some straightforward advice as I always do. Unfortunately, even though I helped scout for talent my suggestions were not always taken. I knew these were business decisions, though, nothing personal.
For about the next 4 months, Adam would DM me, asking me questions about the business or asking for my thoughts and advice. I would respond accordingly. I didn't think our DMs would lead to anything more.
