Welcome back to my story guys :D. If you already wondered, I made some changes on the anime script. It would make sense on my characters in my opinion of course. I've been really busy with these new chapters, it actually hurts my head (because I'm still finishing the chapter 7, and I want to somehow write a lot in these future chapters). Maybe in some chapters I can maybe slow down and make them smaller, but for that I really need to get my head thinking on the actual script for the story... wich is not a big problem for me.
By the way, I thank once again for the number of Favorites and Followers increasing: 10 Favorites and 17 Followers on my story. It's not that I was expecting my story to have favorites in the first place, but I'm glad you guys are nice enough to keep enjoying my story (leaving a nice review would also be helpful, but oh well... we can't have it all). I'm also really happy for the number of views increase. Only been a week since I posted this, and I'm almost at a thousand views. If this keeps up, I might start publishing actual real stories for people entertainment, ahahah... But that maybe will go for way later (probably never...).

Chapter 4 – Duel in Love
It was the second day at the island, Jaden and Syrus were finished with their breakfast and dressing so they would have their first class of the day. Fortunately for Jaden, Syrus was a roommate that was also used to wake up at early hours; Jaden thanked him for waking him up.
They left the dorm so they could go now to the Duel Academy classroom. When they arrived, they saw Dr. Crowler as their teacher, who was glaring at all the Slifer Reds who were now sitting down on the lower seats, while the Ra Yellows sat in the middle and Obelisk Blues were on top seats.
The class was progressing, with the Professor explaining to everyone all type of duel cards that existed. After some minutes of explanation, he said "Now, to recap everything I've said so far… Signora Alexis, could you tell the class the different type of cards?" Alexis got up from her seat, ready to answer Dr. Crowler question.
"Among Duel Monster cards, there are Normal Monsters, Effect Monsters, Fusion Monsters, Ritual Monsters, Spell Cards and Trap Cards. Next, Trap Cards are split into Normal Traps, Counter Traps and Continuous Traps. Finally, Spell Cards are split into Normal Spells, Continuous Spells, Equip Spells, Quick-Play Spells, Ritual Spells and Field Spell Cards." Alexis finished.
"Belissimo (Great)! A superb job! It was a question far too simple for the Queen of Obelisk Blue, was it not?" Crowler asked amused.
"It's just the basics" Alexis answered as she sit down.
"Well then…" Crowler continued his 'prey hunting' to answer his questions, "Signore Truesdale!" he called Syrus, in which he got up trembling "Y-yes, Sir?" he asked worried.
"Please explain to us what a Field Spell is and does." The 'nice' professor asked; Syrus was now too nervous to answer the question, feeling like everyone was staring at him to wait if he answered incorrectly.
"H… Hum, a Field… Spell is… hum... well… a field… spell…" Syrus mumbled, when he got interrupted by an Obelisk classmate "Ah! Even a kindergartener knows something like that!" all the Obelisks started laughing at his mocking.
By hearing that, Syrus was speechless now, embarrassed and ashamed by not get to answer properly the Professor Crowler's question.
Jaden looked at him worried, then gave attention to the Professor Crowler. He was smirking at Syrus for some time, while the one mentioned was in panic. It felt like he was enjoying embarrassing Syrus on purpose, in front of all class laughing at him.
He gritted his teeth at the disgusted action from his professor, his hatred coming to his veins; but he tried to control himself, giving Syrus some pats in his shoulder to help in relax. He would help Syrus after this class, about his low-confidence problem.
His hate control changed however, when Professor Crowler started to talk sarcastically.
"Very well. You may step back. To think that you were unable to answer the very basics among basics! Well done, Slifer. You've shocked me…" he ended his sentence, with every student in class laughing.
'THAT'S IT! You crossed the line now' Jaden gave a death stare at Crowler. Syrus just sat down on his seat, mumbling "I know… what a Field Spell is… I just have stage fright… and everyone laugh at me… I let Slifer down…"
"Now for the next question…" Crowler continued, when he got interrupted by someone getting up his seat, his eyes now glaring at him.
"… I do have a question, Dr. Crowler. How much does it SHOCK you, to know that you LOST a duel to a Slifer during the Entry Exam? Trying making FUN of us Slifer students, you just ended up making fun of YOURSELF!" Jaden mocked smirking. Now all Slifers were laughing at the 'nice' professor, while the Obelisks were gasping.
That simple piece of information made the professor fuming, biting his handkerchief and pulling it. 'Mamma mia! I won't tolerate this Faker Slacker on my school for another second!I will see to it that he's expelled immediately!'
"That's all for today's class. All dismissed!" Crowler declared the end of his class, leaving the classroom. From behind the low seat, Alexis was on the top seats staring at Jaden interestingly, with her lips upturned into a small smile.
Now it was school break, some students were outside the classroom talking to each other to meet themselves better, while Jaden, Syrus and some other students were still sitting on their seats.
Syrus looked at Jaden, still figuring out why did he defend him during the class. Any other students didn't do nothing for Syrus, only kept silent, or laughed and mocked him for their own enjoyment, but Jaden was the one who decided to mock the professor instead.
"Are you okay, Sy?" Jaden stared at him with a concerned look, Syrus let a surprised look and turning his head to his front, now feeling embarrassed for having Jaden stare at him after all that mockery.
"Erm… well, you know… is that… Nobody ever got concerned about me before… except my mum, of course… a-ahahaha" Syrus laughed nervously. Jaden understood what he said, but decided to smirk as he gave a pat on his back, surprising him again.
"Don't worry too much about little things, buddy. We're roommates and friends. Of course, it's my duty to look after my bunk partner, isn't it?" Jaden said with a joking expression. Syrus somehow felt a little calm after hearing the 'duty' part Jaden mentioned, but then thought that Jaden was actually being obliged to do so. Syrus didn't want Jaden to get pushed around every time like this.
After some time later, it was now the second class for the day: the alchemy class. Some Obelisk students were now climbing to their own sits. Some were staring at Syrus with a mocked face, others were angry staring at Jaden for the humiliation. Syrus was scared for their looks, and Jaden ignored them. After that, professor Banner entered the classroom, with his cat, and sit on his seat.
"Alright, everyone-nya! As some Slifer students already know, I am professor Lyman Banner-nya! I specialize at some known tactics and strategies in the world of duel monsters, some that even a few might consider to be unnatural-nya!" Banner kept going with his explanation, which seemed more peaceful than the first class. Somehow Syrus and Jaden were more relaxed at the nice teacher. Syrus took the chance to say some words.
"H-hey Jaden… I forgot to mention this…" he called him, Jaden giving some attention to him now. "But thanks for earlier."
"Don't mind it… Like I said, I wanted to stay by your side when that moment occurred." Jaden smiled at his friend.
"But still… I feel like is unfair, for me not doing… you know…" Syrus continued, feeling a little insecure from not finding a way to thank Jaden back. Banner felt like he was getting interrupted by Jaden and Syrus' chatting, which made Jaden look at his friend.
"Watch out Sy, don't make another professor get into you, this time from chatting." He said.
"Ehh? What do you mean by that?" Syrus asked him, before he got called by Banner.
"Mister Truesdale" the professor called. "Y-YES?" Syrus got up from his seat.
"Could you mind fetch me the Pharaoh?" Banner asked nicely.
"P-pharaoh?" Syrus asked confused.
"My cat-nya!" he said, Syrus now feeling a furball over his legs. He looked down surprised, seeing Banner's cat scratching itself over him. He grabbed the cat and gave it back to Banner.
"Due to interrupting the class… I would ask you to clean up the classroom before getting dismissed, Mister Truesdale-nya!" Banner said as he got his cat back. "Y-yes, sir…" Syrus said embarrassed.
*in Crowler's office*
Dr. Crowler was writing in a piece of paper with his feather pen, an idea getting into him to make sure Jaden would be expelled in no time. "Why that Slacker… how dare him to embarrass me like that! If he thinks I'm leaving it at that, he is surely mistaken!" he finished scribbling what was in the paper and folded it to insert into an envelope. He then picked a mirror and placed some red lipstick on his lips. As he finished it, he kissed the back of the envelope and chuckled to himself.
"Ahh… the big kiss-off!" he said, leaving his office and going to the boys locker room, knowing that Jaden would have gym class.
*with Jaden*
It was already the end of the second break-time period. He went to the locker room to place his shoes on it and switch for his gym-shoes, when he felt Yubel coming behind him.
"Shouldn't you be waiting for Syrus, I feel bad for him." She said.
"Well, I could've waited, but I can't always be stuck by his side forever. He might be done with his cleaning duty at the classroom, and I wanted to meet and greet new people… well, at least I tried to." Jaden said, already with his gym shoes ready. Yubel sighed at that, felt like she should be worried at Jaden's friend… that's because Jaden was using his locker room.
"Just don't forget, Syrus might be the only trustful friend you might find in this school, Jaden. At least you have that…" Yubel said as she disappeared. 'I know Yubel, I also feel that…' Jaden thought as he went to his gym class. "I just hope he doesn't get late"
Unfortunately for Jaden's sight, Crowler was around a corner when he saw Jaden leaving the boys locker room and decided to go inside.
"Gently, now… Where could that Slacker's shoes be? Where could they…" he asked himself, opening all the lockers to find Jaden's shoes. He grinned to himself, putting the letter on top of his shoes and left the locker room without nobody notice him.
*with Syrus*
He was over cleaning the tables with his wet cloth, when he heard the bell ring for the end of the second break. He got scared at that and decided to dismiss the classroom, leaving the cloth in the bucket he had on the floor. He ran pass through some Obelisk girl students, leading his way to the boys locker room as he was screaming
"Oh no… I'm late, the class started! Move, Lousy girls. GET OUT THE WAY!". He finished sprinting to the boys locker room, taking out his shoes to get his own gym shoes. However, his locker was occupied.
"Man, come on, Big Bro… you got things mixed up… this is my locker" he said, taking out Jaden's shoes and another pair of gym shoes 'Luckily the gym offered another pair, in case the first ones would be lost'.
But when he took out Jaden's shoes to put them on the owner locker, he found a letter with a kiss on the back. He picked it up, to check it up surprised.
"Huh? Could it be a… a 'love letter'?" Syrus asked to himself, looking around him to check if someone was there to hear him. He opened it quick to see what was inside the envelope, there was a letter inside writing: 'Dear Jaden, I've liked you ever since we first met. I'll wait for you behind the girl's dorm tonight. – Alexis Rhodes'
After reading all that, Syrus didn't seem so surprised. He thought that it was actually true that people would find Jaden to be a nice person to hang out with. 'Lucky you, Big bro. To have girls falling in love with you. I only wish it could happen to me as well', he sighed but then remembered what Jaden said at the first day when he greeted at Alexis '-Could it be… You fallen in love with me at the first sight?'
"There's no way I could sense this déjà vu feeling, could I? But things aside… I'M LATE!" Syrus screamed at himself, wearing the gym pair shoes and went to the gym.
*at the Gym*
Syrus was now at the door, watching his colleagues running all around the stage. A female teacher paid attention now to him, as she came closer and spoke.
"You're late, the lesson had already started and you should already be doing the same thing your students are doing right now."
"I-I'm sorry… I… got asked to clean the classroom during time break…" Syrus bowed his head embarrassed. The teacher just sighed.
"Anyways, the name's Fonda Fontaine, and I'll be your health and physical education teacher. Go run next to your colleagues and don't waste any time here waiting.", the teacher said and Syrus excused himself to get next to the others.
Right on front of them there was Jaden in a nice pace, Syrus decided to get closer to him.
"H-hey Big Bro, sorry it took so long."
"Hey, no worries. I'm just glad you're here now. I just hope you don't give more attention to the teachers.", Jaden smirked, running at the same pace as Syrus. Syrus just sweat smiled at Jaden's joke.
Sometime later after some running laps, Fonda dismissed his students for the end of the class. All the students went to the locker room to change themselves before getting lunch. Jaden and Syrus were now dressed with their Slifer uniforms as they left to their dorm. That's when Syrus remembered about the letter.
"Hey Big Bro… There's… one thing I forgot to tell you."
"What's up, Sy? You seem worried." Jaden gave attention to Syrus, that was taking out something from his blazer pocket.
"This letter was in my locker. And since you did put your shoes in it… the owner wanted to give this to you." Syrus gave the letter to Jaden so he could open it. After Jaden read the letter, he laughed at it, thinking on the joke he said the other day, about Alexis fall in love with him at first sight. However, he turned himself serious, thinking about the letter itself.
"So… what do you think? Will you go accept her feelings at night?" Syrus asked worried.
"You know… it's weird if you think about it. She seemed so open the first day we met. Why would she send me a love letter, if she could just confess to me in person? Also… girls' dorm? Don't you think that is odd?", Jaden asked with a worried look.
"Erm… I don't know, Jaden… If I would be the receiver of the letter, I would go probably. I mean… I actually never had a love letter before, cause… you know… no friends", Syrus said with his head down to hide his embarrassment. Jaden just looked at him and smiled patting his head. "There, there!" he said, Yubel appearing next to him with an idea in mind.
"Why don't you ask her to a private place, so we can find out what's with the letter, Jaden?"
'Good idea, Yubel. Glad you came around to help' Jaden said, so only Yubel could hear it, she nodding and disappearing.
"Hey, Syrus. Let's just get some lunch… After that we'll talk to Alexis about this letter. Don't you think that would help solving the truth behind it?" Jaden asked, Syrus now giving some attention. Syrus wasn't too much of a social person, but when he thought Jaden would be meeting with another person, he was actually trying to avoid Syrus.
"Hm… I think that would work, also…" Syrus' stomach growled, "I'm also hungry", he sweat smiled.
*with Alexis*
She and her colleagues have finished their class. Since the boys' second class was Physical and Education, the girls' class was actually Music Education, which was a helping lesson to have a 'sequence' of combinations to help in students' future duelings.
Between Alexis, there were two other friends she liked to hang out: one had red hair with the hair tip pointing down and also had brown eyes. Her name's Jasmine. The other had dark-grey, with the back hair stuck in a ponytail and the hair tips going up, she also had brown eyes Her name's Mindy. They all had the same body-shape like Alexis.
They were now going to their girl dorm to have their lunch group, as they were also talking.
"Can you believe what that Jaden said to Dr. Crowler in class today? He's got some nerve to talk to a teacher like that… and making us Obelisks feeling bad too? Hugh… completely disrespectful, don't you think Alexis?" Jasmine said with an angry tone.
"Actually, I thought it was cool of him…" Alexis said, thinking to herself that he was actually protecting his friend. "What? You think he was cool, after…" Jasmine tried to counter, but Mindy interrupted.
"He could be… I saw the way his other friend was actually embarrassed by getting laughed by the entire class. I felt like Jaden was answering like he was his big brother."
'Big brother, huh?' Alexis thought to herself, when she got a message from her PDA. Speaking of the devil, it was from Jaden, with a smirk on him:
"Meet me at the beach after lunch, we have a problem to discuss on! I'll see you there" the message ended.
"I better find out later what's wrong… I wonder if I should go alone." Alexis thought to herself, closing her PDA.
*with Jaden and Syrus*
They were done with their lunching, the next thing they did was directing their way to the beach at the bottom of the island, it was the place where Jaden planned Alexis to be so they would have a better explanation. Syrus was still a little concerned about all this.
"Big Bro, do you still think you should go? The letter said it would be at midnight… I don't think… she will be happy for you to interrupt her… things she's doing." Syrus said.
"You know Syrus, I could've gone at midnight. But still, think… girls' dorm? It could be a prank. And you don't know what would happen to you if you were the receiver of the letter, and the girls would find you there…".
This time, Syrus thought about what Jaden mentioned. Now he felt really embarrassed, imagining all girls staring at him from their windows rooms, while imagining Alexis confessing to him. "Yeah… I guess you're right about this. I'm sorry."
Jaden laughed at Syrus comment and, next thing he knew, they were already at the beach coast. Now they just needed to wait for Alexis to come join them and explain the letter. While waiting, they saw the sun almost get closer to the sea, meaning the evening was almost getting to a close. Jaden and Syrus just stared to the horizon; Syrus awing at the view, and Jaden thinking at what Yubel just mentioned way before he had the gym class '- Syrus might be the only trustful friend you might find in this school, Jaden. At least you have that…'. He gave attention to Syrus and smiled.
"Hey Syrus."
"Yeah, Big Bro?" Syrus asked paying attention now at Jaden.
"Thank you, for being my friend… It's not every now and then that I find a friend like you." He admitted with a grin. Syrus flushed at that comment, not expecting a gratitude for being someone's 'friend'. He always thought that becoming someone friend was a way to make himself feel protected, since he was still sensitive and anxious. But he felt relaxed after hearing him.
"Y… Yeah, I appreciate you… being my friend too, Jay-Big Bro" he smiled. Jaden smiled at his comment gave him a hug, one that made Syrus feel safer and more secure with Jaden.
Not long after the hug departure, Alexis was close to them, with her hands on her chest.
"Hey guys… thou I thought this was between us, Jaden. You mentioned the 'I' in the message.", she said a bit concerned.
"Yeah, sorry about that. This is a serious matter" Jaden explained, taking out the letter from his blazer and gave it to Alexis. "We found it in Syrus' locker, but I was the receiver of the letter. Syrus gave it to me, because it was on top of my shoes when he picked it up. Does it belong to you?"
Alexis saw the letter and then looked at Jaden. "You're joking right? Even I can understand this is a fake. The way it was writing, my name is even spelled wrong… Are you guys responsible for this?" or so she thought she would ask this, because knowing Jaden from yesterday, he's not a person to play around with serious stuff.
She however thought about a way to get this opportunity chance to face-off Jaden. After all, even if she didn't write the letter, she wished she did; not for a love confession. After the ways Jaden won against Dr. Crowler in Exam Duel and the 'invalid' duel against Chazz. She turned her lips to an upturn smile.
"Hey. Want to duel with me?" she asked, "If you defeat me, I'll answer the question you're looking for."
"Oh! You have the guts to ask me for a duel in moments like this? I like that." Jaden smirked smacking his hand onto another, excited for this. Yubel appeared from behind Jaden, hugging Winged Kuriboh; she heard what it was going to happen and smiled "Jaden facing Alexis… this is a match I want to see in a close range", "Kuri-kurii!" the spirits said.
"Big bro… any day we have it here on this island, and you get challenged for a duel. I think you don't have a 'duel-sensor'… You're just a 'duel-magnet'!" Syrus deadpanned at the two duelists were now going to the beach sand, with their duel disks ready.
The sun left the horizon, the sky now showing a dark blue night time. Two duel disks red lights were the only things illuminating the field. Syrus just stayed sit on the sand in Jaden's side.
"Here I go, Jaden!" Alexis declared.
"Sure! Bring it, Alexis!" Jaden answered.
"DUEL!" they screamed.
Round 1 - Jaden(J): 4000LP; Alexis(A): 4000LP
"I'll go first, Jaden! It's my turn! Draw" Alexis declared as she drew her card and put in her hand. She then picked a card and inserted on the field.
"I summon Etoile Cyber!" a light appeared on Alexis field and a ballerina showed herself spinning from it. She was wearing an orange and white leotard, with ellipses around her arms and a mask between her right eye. She also had big orange hair, standing on the field ready to attack. (ATK: 1200 / DEF: 1600) "Then, I'll set 2 cards to end my turn." Two cards got set on her Spell/Trap zone.
Round 2 – J: 4000; A: 4000
"Next up's my turn! Draw!" Jaden said drawing his card. He looked at his hand too, picking a card to activate it. "I activate my spell card, E-Emergency Call: from my deck I can add one 'Elemental Hero' monster to my hand; I'll add Elemental Hero Stratos, and summon it to the field!" Jaden declared it, adding the card from his deck and summon it to the field.
On Jaden's field appeared the same green and blue Hero monster from the exam match. (ATK: 1800 / DEF: 300)
"And Stratos effect activates: I can add another 'Hero' monster from my deck to my hand as well; I'll add me Elemental Hero Avian to my hand." Jaden said, revealing the card and adding to his hand. "Now Battle! My Stratos will attack your Etoile Cyber, 'Dive Kick'!"
Jaden's monster nodded, and, with the turbines' help, Stratos flied straight to Etoile Cyber, with his kick ready to make contact with her. However, Alexis was ready for this.
'You didn't pay attention to my set cards, Jaden' she thought before screaming "Reverse card, Open! I activate my Trap Card, Double Passé: I change your monster's attack to a direct attack.", she said as she protected herself with Stratos kick. (A: 4000 - 2200)
"In exchange, my monster targeted by the attack gets to attack you directly, Jaden! GO Etoile Cyber, 'Arabesque Attack'!" Etoile Cyber passed through Stratos, ready to attack Jaden as she felt more powerful. "My Etoile Cyber also has an ability: When she performs a direct attack, her attack is raised by 600. Making her attack becoming 1800", Alexis pointed out, her monster giving spins before lancing her foot to Jaden's left elbow, making him scream from the impact. (J: 4000 - 2200).
They were tied just from a single attack. Jaden just grabbed his elbow while looked at Alexis.
"Wow! What a woman! To think she'd set a trap to protect her monster, and not caring about taking damage herself…" he exclaimed, Yubel looking at him with a smile.
"Big Bro! You okay?" Syrus asked looking at his friend.
"What's the matter? Got impressed by this attack?" Alexis asked looking at Jaden.
"Impressed? I think I'm in love instead!" He said recovering himself from the attack.
"Sweet of you! Too bad I have to crush you!" Alexis smirked at that comment.
"CAN YOU GUYS JUST GET A ROOM OR SOMETHING?" Syrus felt like he wasn't there anymore. Yubel heard that and fell from laughter. She started to like the way Syrus was joking around.
"Anyways, it's still MY turn. I'll throw down a face-down, before ending my turn." Jaden said, a card being set on his field.
Before Alexis could start her turn, Syrus sensed that there were people behind him. He was right, when two girls appeared on the beach' coast.
"Hum… Alexis, are they familiar to you?", Syrus asked, Alexis now turning her attention to him and the two girls.
"Mindy... Jasmine… What you girls doing there?" Alexis asked concerned
"We were about to ask you the same thing. But we checked your track from the PDA. It's already noon, and we need to clean ourselves before going to sleep." Jasmine said.
"So… what's going on? And why are you dueling the Slifer over there? Trying to show your deck strength this soon?" Mindy asked.
"Well… if you girls don't mind if I explain for them… to make a long story short: a love letter from Alexis was on my locker… the receiver is my Big Bro... And they're dueling to look for answers." Syrus said in nervous stops, he wasn't used to talk to other people, besides Jaden.
"A letter from Alexis? That's impossible, she was with us the whole time. She couldn't have the time to put the letter on YOUR locker." Mindy informed angrily at Syrus statement. Jasmine stared at Syrus, scaring the boy "I think you guys are making fun of us Obelisks again. You want to fake all this after what happened the first class.". That made Syrus tremble.
"B-But it's… the true, I swear. I walked on my locker… during the second period… for Gym class. There was an envelope… with a lipstick kiss mark on it. When I open it… it was a love confession… to go to the girl's dorm, midnight." Syrus said now hiding his face with his hands.
"Whatever… Let's just hope Alexis finishes this already, so I can see this Slifer get humiliated after what he said during class." Jasmine turned her attention to the duel now.
Round 3 – A: 2200; J:2200
"I won't have to hesitate to go on, Jaden. It's my turn! Draw!" Alexis drew her card, "I tribute my Etoile Cyber, to tribute summon my Cyber Prima!" she declared, her ballerina leaving the field.
Another ballerina bigger than the last one appearing to the field, wearing a close-fitting gray catsuit with gold rings between her torso, shoulders and hands; wearing a red mask, and some platinum locks flowing behind the red mask, keeping her silver hair. (ATK: 2300/DEF: 1600)
"Let's battle! My Cyber Prima will attack your Elemental Hero Stratos, with 'Reverence of the End'!" she declared with Cyber Prima sprinting now to Stratos; and executed a double chop, knocking Stratos to the sand, and Jaden protecting himself from the damage. (J: 2200 - 1700)
"It's the end of the line, Jaden! Reverse card, Open! Call of the Haunted, activate: I Special Summon Etoile Cyber sleeping in my graveyard!", Alexis said as her ballerina was now reborn to the field.
"It's still my battle phase, and you're defenseless! Etoile Cyber, 'Arabesque Attack'! Her ability will give her more attack, since is a direct attack" Alexis smirked, since her monster's attack was raised again to 1800, big enough to strike Jaden. However, Jaden wouldn't give up yet.
"You better slow down, Lex! I activate this face-down card, my quickplay-spell Flute of Summoning Kuribohs: I special summon my friendfrom my deck in defense mode; MEET MY BUD, Winged Kuriboh!" Jaden declared, taking out the monster from his deck and summoning it to the field.
On his side of the field, a new friendly fur ball monster showed itself with angel wings behind it. 'Kuri KURI!' (ATK: 300 / DEF: 200)
"CUUTE! I WANT ONE!" Mindy said with hearts in her eyes. Jasmine just deadpanned.
"Etoile Cyber, destroy Winged Kuriboh!" the ballerina went to the fur ball, and kicked him outside the stage.
"KURIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Winged Kuriboh flied away from the field to space, a new star shinning the sky. Mindy showed animated tears, seeing the friendly fur ball get destroyed. Yubel stretched her hands to the sky, dramatically pleading for the monster.
"Not my favorite pillow…" she said. 'Yubel, enough joking!' Jaden thought unamused.
"Dammit, she was so close of winning! But that's it, Alexis! Keep it up pummeling this guy into dust!" Jasmine said confident for her friend. Syrus however got up from his seat, hiding his sensitive side with a serious look.
"Don't you dare lose, Big Bro! Do your best!" he said with a confident tone too. Mindy and Jasmine both looked at him, laughing.
"You've got some nerve, you know?" Jasmine said.
"Uhm, well… you know…" Syrus turned his attention again to the girls, Mindy now interrupting him.
"Do you still think your 'Big Bro' can win against the Queen of Obelisks? You better start dreaming." Mindy smirked at Syrus.
"She is famous for having the highest grades from campus! She's also someone you don't want to hangout, neither your friend over there… Back on campus, she easily rejected every male student confession on class. Just face it, you two... You guys are out of her league." Jasmine said with a big smirk.
"I don't care… if Alexis was the best female student… in the past from campus. Even if I confessed to her, I knew she would also reject me… every girl would, in all honesty. But… I won't let anyone get away insulting Jay-Big Bro! He's my BEST FRIEND, and he'll WIN this with all he's got." Syrus said fully confident, Jaden looking at Syrus with a surprised look. Syrus was now thinking of him as a 'Best Friend'. He felt lucky to have Syrus with him.
"Thanks for the determination Sy. I appreciate it! If it's a win you want, it's a win you'll have!" Jaden said now getting himself ready for his next turn. Alexis just smirked at him as she said.
"I'll set this card face-down, and end my turn.", a set card appeared on her Spell/Trap zone.
Round 4 – A: 2200; J: 1700
"Here I go! It's my turn, I draw!", Jaden drew his card, "I activate the Spell Card, A Hero Lives: if I control no monsters, by paying half my Life Points, I can special summon an Elemental Hero from my deck" Jaden said picking up his deck, with his life points decreasing by half. (J: 1700 - 850)
"From my deck, I special summon Elemental Hero Blazeman", he inserted the card on his duel disk, the orange flaming Hero appeared from the sand. (ATK: 1200 / DEF: 1800) "Blazeman's effect activates: I can add a Polymerization spell card to my hand. Next I summon Elemental Hero Avian to the field." Jaden inserted his normal summoned monster; a green feather man with claws on his arms and green wings on his back. (ATK: 1000 / DEF: 1000)
"Next up, I activate the spell card, Polymerization: I send Blazeman with Elemental Hero Burstinatrix from my hand to the graveyard! 'Hero with a blazing soul and flame fists; Heroine with burning might and willpower! Create a New Light to Clear the Darkness'! Fusion Summon! My Level 7, Elemental Hero Sunrise!" Jaden finished his chanting, inserting the fusion monster in the duel disk. The two hero monsters formed a flaming vortex, giving space to the red armor Hero to give his entrance. (ATK: 2500 / DEF: 1200). "And with Elemental Hero Sunriser effect: all my monster's ATK are raised for each diferent Attribute I have on the field; I only have LIGHT, that means my Sunriser gets 200 ATK!" (ATK: 2500 - 2700 / DEF: 1200)
"My Sunriser has his special ability when is special summoned: from my deck I can add a Miracle Fusion spell card to my hand. And I'll activate it now: I banish the fusion materials from my field and graveyard to Fusion Summon a new Hero." Jaden said, picking his Burstinatrix from the graveyard; the heroine showing herself to the field, nodding to Avian.
"I'll banish my Elemental Hero Avian and Burstinatrix! 'Here comes my Favorite Hero of all times'! I'll present to you, in a Fusion Summon! My level 6, Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!" Jaden inserted his second fusion monster next to Sunrise.
The two heroes nodded, fusing themselves together to create the new hero; half red armored on the right, with a red dragon jaw replacing the right arm, half green armored, with a bird claw on the left hand. He had a giant bird wing on his left half, and a giant red dragon tail behind him. (ATK: 2100 - 2500 /DEF: 1200), Sunrise ATK (ATK 2700 - 2900 / DEF: 1200)
"Again… two Hero fusion monsters in one turn… That is SO AWESOME!" Syrus said really amused for Jaden's plays.
"Let's Battle, Alexis! My Sunrise will attack your Cyber Prima, with 'Solar Strike'!", the Hero jumped high straight to the monster with his Lunar Claws, ready to clash them to the monster. However, Alexis was ready for that…
"Hold it right there, Jaden! I activate my set trap card, Hallowed Life Barrier: By discarding one card from my hand, this turn, none of my monsters are destroyed by battle, also I won't take damage this turn!" Alexis informed, discarding a card from her hand. The Hero's attack was blocked by a barrier, that made the Hero return to his position.
Jaden was really impressed by that play. 'Man… besides she protecting her life points, she also uses her cards in the hand as cost to protect her monsters on the field. She's strong… TOO Strong'. But his battle phase wasn't over yet. "If the first try didn't work, the second will! My Elemental Hero Flame Wingman will attack your Etoile Cyber, with 'Skydive Scorcher'!"
The Hero flied with the help of his left wing, and went straight to the other ballerina to attack. However, the barrier was also there. "You're naive, Jaden! Did you forget my Hallowed Life Barrier protects all my monsters from battle and damage this turn? You just wasted your attack!". However, Jaden smirked.
"Actually, I didn't waste it! Because my Elemental Hero Sunrise has a special effect: If an attack is declared involving a Hero monster, once per turn, I can destroy a card you control, Alexis! So, since your trap protects your monsters ONLY by battle, it doesn't protect them from card effects. I'll destroy your Cyber Prima with Sunrise. 'Lightning Punishment'!" Jaden declared, a Light Stream being created from the sun crest, and went to Cyber Prima, destroying it. The flame wingman attack was stopped due to the trap
"NO! My monster!" Alexis said.
"I'll throw down a face-down and call it a turn!" Jaden said with a card-face down on the field.
Alexis looked at Jaden, despise her stronger monster has been destroyed; because she wasn't expecting Sunrise to have that kind of effect. She was actually feeling different from all other times she dueled. Was she nervous? Scared? No, she was excited! As a true duelist, she had to be ready for situations like this one. "I might've just hit the Jackpot!" She smirked, starting her turn.
Round 5 – A: 2200; J: 850
"Time to wrap this up! It's my turn and I'm going to draw!" she drew a card, smiling at it, "I summon Blade Skater! Glide on it!" Alexis inserted the monster. On her side, next to Etoile Cyber, a ballerina with the same size as Etoile showed herself; with a white and purple leotard, she was also wearing blades on her arms and was also wearing her ice skates. (ATK: 1400 / DEF: 1500)
"Since you like to fusion summon a lot, Jaden, I'll present to you a Fusion of mine. I'll activate the Magic Card, Polymerization: I'll send Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater to the graveyard. 'The Whirlwind nimble ballerina! The Cut-sized bladed dancer! Show yourself in the spotlight as a true Star'! I Fusion Summon! My level 7, Cyber Blader".
The two monsters crossed each other to a wind storm, from it a new taller ballerina-dancer appeared. She was wearing a white and red leotard, with red antennas on each side of her shoulder. She was also wearing a futuristic mask between her eyes and skaters on her feet. (ATK: 2100 / DEF: 800)
"It's time to END this dance, Jaden. Because my Cyber Blader has an ability, depending how many monsters you have on the field: since you control two monsters, her attack becomes double!" Alexis said, her monster feeling stronger with the winds surrounding her. (ATK: 2100 - 4200 / DEF: 800). Jaden gasped at the monster's attack; it was way stronger than his monsters. "Let's finish this up Cyber Blader, attack Sunrise with 'Whirlwind Rage'!"
Her monster started spinning really fast, ready to attack Jaden's Sunrise.
"NO! Jay-Big Bro" Syrus screamed. "You can do this, Alexis! Victory's yours" Jasmine and Mindy said at same time. Jaden however, smirked at Alexis.
"I don't know about that, Alexis! I flip over my set card, GO Mask Change: I'll send a HERO monster on my side of the field to the graveyard to special summon a Masked Hero monster.", Alexis smirked at Jaden's decision for the monster he would pick. 'Sunrise is a LIGHT; Flame Wingman is a WIND. What will it be, Jaden?'
"I'll send my Elemental Hero Sunrise to the graveyard, to special summon my Masked Hero Koga!" Jaden declared, a new mask appearing in front of the LIGHT Hero. When the hero wore the mask, he felt himself shine from the mask. A new shining golden aura hero shown himself, wearing spikes on his side arms, with a golden suit over his torso, and spiky knee braces. (ATK: 2500 / DEF: 1800). "My Masked Hero Koga gains 500 attack for each monster you control, Lex!", the masked hero monster attack raised (ATK: 2500 - 3000 / DEF: 1800), Flame Wingman ATK (ATK: 2500 - 2100 / DEF: 1200)
"It won't matter, since he's still weak to protect your Life Points! Which means, without your Sunrise on the field, I'm free to select my attack. You Koga might be dangerous… That's why I'll attack using my Blade Skater on your Flame Wingman!" Alexis declared, changing her attack now to the declared monster.
"And that's where Masked Hero Koga ability activates: I can banish any Hero monster from my graveyard, to decrease your monster's ATK by my banished monster's ATK." Jaden grinned at his own.
"Oh no, not again!" Alexis said with a hidden smile. Koga's side arm spikes started glowing, Jaden taking out a card from his graveyard.
"I'll banish my Elemental Hero Sunrise, to decrease your Cyber Blader attack by 2500. And since you declared your attack already, you cannot stop it." Jaden said, his Koga sending a light ray spark from his spikes to Alexis' monster. (ATK: 4200 - 1700 / DEF: 800)
Flame Wingman stopped Cyber Blader' kick with his left claw, and next "hugged" the monster, his dragon claw sending some fire between them. For the duelists, it represented respect for one another, Cyber Blader now leaving the monster's hug, nodding and leaving into pixels. (A: 2200 - 1800)
Alexis smiled at Jaden. She had a blast with this duel. A lot of plays were being made, counter-attacks and Jaden's strategy to win the duel. She felt lucky to meet someone as strong as Jaden.
"Alexis… Thank you for this duel! So far, was the most enjoyable duel I had so far… Besides the other duels I had while I was training with my step-dad, Yugi" Jaden said with a cherished tone.
"Yugi Muto, right? Yeah, I totally believed in you when you showed the Kuriboh card in Exam Entrance". Jaden sighed at hearing Alexis accepting the King of Game's successor, unlike other people who laughed about it. He then ended the duel.
"Flame Wingman's effect activates: when destroys a monster by battle, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's attack." Jaden said.
"Too bad the duel has to end with someone losing" Yubel sighed next to him, also enjoyed the duel. Flame Wingman got close to Alexis, and threw gentle flames on her contact, her Life Points decreasing. (A: 1800 - 0)
JADEN WON THE DUEL
"Jay… Big Bro… YOU DID IT!" Syrus ran to Jaden's side to hug him from his left side.
"Alexis…" Jasmine said, the girls coming closer to her. "Are you alright?" Mindy asked concerned. Jaden went closer to Alexis, with a gentle smile.
"Gotcha! This is a duel to remember, Alexis! I hope we get to duel again soon." Jaden did his signature pose pointing at her. She smiled back at him, agreeing to his words.
"Well. I guess, I also have to answer about the letter incident. It happens that unfortunately, I'm not the one who wrote the letter. Besides, if I were to do a confession, I would do it personally. Not in a letter like that…" Alexis explained. Jaden smirked at Syrus next to him.
"I told you so, Sy… it was suspicious at the first place…" he said.
"Oh! Bite me, will you? I'm not the one who's used to receive love letters…" Syrus pouted to his friend, looking the other side. But then he was confused "Wait a second… the kiss mark. A girl should've kissed the envelope, to put it on my locker in the first place, right?"
Alexis thought about it, when then she giggled at what Syrus said. She understood what happened "It appears you boys forgot one important thing: Anti-Rule! The girls are not allowed to go to the boy's locker room, the same thing applying for boys as well…" she explained.
"Then, who was the…" Syrus looked at Jaden, when they also then realized. They got themselves colorless for a bit, Yubel bursting out laughter.
"OH MY GOD! I'M GOING TO THROW UP!" Jaden screamed. "I'M GOING TO DRINK BLEACH WHEN I GET BACK MY ROOM!" Syrus screamed as well. The girls started laughing at the Slifers attitudes.
*somewhere in girls back dorm*
Behind the bushes, a man wearing a black ninja attire was waiting for Jaden's arrival.
"A… ACHOO! This is getting cold... Accidenti a tutto (Damn it all)!" it was Dr. Crowler, he felt like Jaden wouldn't come any time soon.
*back to the Slifers and Obelisk girls*
"Anyways, I guess this is the answer we all came to understand" Alexis concluded. But Jasmine was still pissed by Jaden's victory
"Humph! You shouldn't get too ahead of yourself, since you almost lose not only once… but twice this duel!" she said clenching her fists. "Quit it, Jasmine! A loss is a loss. I admit that Jaden's dueling is way better than mine" Alexis admitted.
"Actually, she's right about one thing, Alexis." Jaden told her, a fist stretching pointing at her "I can't 'get too ahead of myself around you', Alexis. You're really strong" he blinked his eyes saying that. Alexis blushed a little at hearing Jaden's flattering, then she extended her hand to Jaden's with a smile.
"Until a next time." She spoke. Jaden extended his hand to grope her hand. "Yeah, until next…" and their hand closed each other, their eyes widening.
"Huh?" they asked, their eyes flinching a few seconds while they were holding their hands. The world around them was changing…
'An ancient time, two medieval people were in a castle holding each other's hand. One was wearing a red cape stuck with a gold medal, a blue tunic armor with a belt, brown 'upper cannons' with gold rings in his upper arms and brown greaves on top of his sabatons. Brown hair and eyes, he had the same look like Jaden's. The other was wearing a long-sleeved white and silver tunic, fitted at the wrists, and a red and gold tube-like garment worn pinned at the shoulders. She was also wearing a gold cross over her neck, and a jewel on top of her hair. Dark-gold long hair, pretty hazzle eyes, she had the same look like Alexis'.
"You look so beautiful, my dear Asuka." The man said with a gentle tone.
"I say the same about you, Judai. As your future Queen, I just can't wait for the marriage for the acceptance of the Sacred Gods." Asuka said, holding dearly his future fiancé.
"We don't need the Sacred Beast's approval in our marriage. I love you with all my heart, and your happiness is all I earn from you."
"I love you too, my future King!" Asuka blushed while kissing him in the lips.'
Both Jaden and Alexis snapped to the world changing back to normal between them. They still saw their hands still holding each other and separated from each other with a big red flush over their faces. There was a weird silence between them, until they heard voices.
"Hey… Big Bro? You okay there?" Syrus asked him from behind; Jaden looking behind still with his blush. "Hum… Yeah, we better get going Syrus… I'll see you around, Lex!" Jaden waved embarrassed.
"Y… yeah, see you, Jaden." Alexis waved back at him. Both Mindy and Jasmine looked at her with a surprised look. 'The Cold Queen, that rejected every male student back at campus, is actually falling for THAT Slifer?' Jasmine and Mindy thought while the three went back to their dorm.
*with Syrus and Jaden*
Jaden was walking silent, in a weird pace. He felt like he was out of place when he did that contact with Alexis. It was as if he went back on time, his past reincarnation meeting the past love of his life. Yubel once told him about his past, so he needed answers for himself.
'Yubel! Are you there?' Jaden called Yubel, in a way only she could hear him
"You called me, my love?" Yubel hovered next to him, with a gentle smile.
'I need some answers. When I held Alexis's hand for the handshake… I felt like I went back on time… and she was there in that memory! Did we ended having a past reincarnation where we were together?' Jaden asked, Yubel understanding his question.
"Yes, you did Jaden. In your past life, you were a prince resident of an unknown kingdom, wielding the power of Gentle Darkness. With a marriage on your sixteen-birthday with your soul mate: princess Asuka resident from the neighbor Kingdom, you would become the Future Supreme King of the Kingdom. Together you would form an alliance with the Sacred Beasts, to rule over the Duel Spirit for a peaceful time for everyone. The marriage would happen between you… until you got attacked by a rebellion group, the Light of Destruction being the responsible for the group." Yubel tried to explain in a resume everything she knew. Jaden gritted his teeth by the mentioned name again.
'Is that why I still feel deep inside "my cage" a grunge for hatred and revenge for that Light? I don't know what happened, my past memories are hard to remember.' Jaden asked a little nervous.
"The real reason for that hatred is… The Light of Destruction… killed Asuka as her first victim… after some other people falling for that light too. She tried to protect you when she got committed for the light. That's when the Sacred Beasts came for help, and sealed the Light for some long time; with a cost… they used the most of their powers, and now we don't know where they are." Yubel explained as best she could.
'And… what about me? Where am… was I related on that moment happening?'
"That's where I come in, Jaden. At the moment Asuka fell dead from the Light of Destruction Ray attack, you were battling another foe from the rebellion: a light-and-dark human to be precise. That foe was really powerful for you to handle, so I assisted you with my own dragon forms… took us some time later to seal that foe to the stars; but he swore he would be back… back to finish his Ultimate Rebellion! When everything was over, the Kingdom was destroyed, and you were holding on your… dead soul mate", Yubel said holding her crying.
Jaden stayed quiet for some time, a huge sigh coming from him, next to a small laugh. Syrus heard his laughter, asking worried "Are you okay, Big Bro?"
"Huh? Oh yeah… Everything is okay. I was just here wondering… how fate can come in weird times nowadays…" Jaden said in a relaxed tone, Yubel giving Jaden a kiss in the cheek before disappearing to the Monster's Realm, giving some privacy for them.
*in the Slifers Room*
Jaden was sitting on the floor, while Syrus was preparing a cup of tea for both of them; they had their dinner then they went to their room to rest. Jaden wasn't still sleepy after his duel and the fateful moment; Chumley was laying on his bunk. That's when Jaden decided to talk.
"Hey Syrus… Do you mind if we talk about something?"
"Huh? Oh… yeah sure. Thou you already know… I'm not good with topics" Syrus said with a goofy laugh.
"Can I see your deck? Or at least know what kind of deck you play?" Jaden asked curiously.
"Eh? Why would you want to know? I don't feel comfortable sharing my deck to the others, Big Bro…" Syrus said insecure, he didn't want to get to that topic.
"I just felt like I wanted to give you some help, because… you know. Big brothers tend to help their jackals, and in dueling and deck building is where I feel comfortable helping someone in need.".
Syrus couldn't refuse the Jaden's reasoning to help him, so he got his deck to show to his friend. "It's not a big deal! It's all I have…" he gave him the deck.
Jaden took a look to Syrus' deck, his four spirit friends appeared back from the Monster Realm with curiosity to look at his friend's deck too. For what they could see, Syrus deck was a 'Roid' deck, filled with variant vehicle monsters with different effects. The fusion monsters were decent just like the effect monsters. The spells and traps were also nice to protect Syrus monsters, to play a control-format to counter the opponent's attacks.
"The vehicles are dependent to each other… it's like they get stronger if you have a set of monsters and other cards to control the board." Yubel said.
"You're right! Let's go for the Rescueroid and Ambulanceroid example: if you have another 'roid' monster on the field that gets destroyed, both those monsters can summon it back… and Decoyroid is the best example for it!" Cleo said. She was one used to understand monster combinations.
"I like the spell and trap ratio… either a nice defense on your first turn, or an offense-control board on the next round. Like the spells Shield Crush and Limiter Removal, they are good to counter the opponent… and next you have Cyber Repairer and No Entry to defend yourself." Mana commented. She was more focused on the Spells and Traps ratios.
"The monsters attacks are either strong or weak… which comes in cost with its effect of course. Like Truckroid, he has lower attack than defense, but has a good effect to get stronger by equipping monsters it destroys by battle… But the Field Spell Megaroid City is a nice card to power up this weakness to become a strength." Berenice explained. From the three spirits, she was more into pros and cons of the deck building.
Jaden and his spirit friends just kept seeing Syrus cards, until they saw the last two cards: a spell and a trap. Jaden picked the spell first with a whistle:
"This spell card is great! Power Bond!" Jaden grinned at the card, but Syrus wasn't that impressed by it. "It works like Polymerization, you send the monsters from your hand or field to the graveyard to Fusion Summon a Machine Fusion monster, and its attack gets doubled! Syrus, this card is great for your deck. How did you get such a powerful card?" Jaden asked him.
Syrus only answered with a small smile. "That card was a gift… from my grandfather, from my mum side. He passed away when I was 9... My mum used to tell me how much my grandpa loved machines, and he used to make his own gadgets for me to play with. He was inspired by that… and that card shows the 'Power Bond' he had for machinery." Syrus said, remembering the good memories he had with his grandad while he was alive.
"Wow, that's a nice story, Sy! I wish I could meet him. I think he was a great person-" Jaden was about to continue.
"He was far than great, Big bro. He got famous from his machinery passion; he was popular before I even knew! From building little gadgets, to weaponized ones. He ended making vehicle toys on his own. That's when I started to like vehicles so much… for that my Roid passion." Syrus explained. Jaden was amused by that.
"Power Bond… it's a card that he gave me, telling me that: 'If I had a strong will and a good heart for my friends… then that card would answer my quests.' But I still feel uneasy to use it… and that's because of the Spell side effect: if I use that Spell; during the End Phase, I take damage equal to the original attack of that fusion monster I control." Syrus finished.
"I guess it's something about that 'anxiety' of yours that makes you scared to use this spell. Fair enough, I'll give my late condolences for your grandpa, Sy." Jaden said now picking the last card, a Trap. "This card is interesting in your deck, Sy. Magic Cylinder! I thought your deck didn't need this card to work, since you want monsters to attack your Roids…"
Syrus got expressionless with the name of the card being told, he felt like he couldn't explain why he had that card, but words were coming out from him.
"Erm… you see… that card is… it has a meaning to stay in my deck, you know?" Syrus said nervous.
"What's wrong, Sy? It feels like you're chocking without any reason. You can speak freely if you want, I wont judge." Jaden said worried.
"Do you promise?" Syrus asked and Jaden nodded.
"Well… I started enjoying playing this game, when I got the chance to watch the replay duels from 'Domino City Grand Tournament'. It had a variety of duels all around, but one that gave me the most interest… was a duel between Yugi and Arkana. That duel was one that made me feel concerned… but the end, was… nice…" Syrus said with a little blush.
"But what does that have to do with the trap?" Jaden asked.
"Big Bro… I do kind of feel insecure about this, promise me you won't laugh." Syrus said again and Jaden sighed, nodding again.
"I… have a crush on Dark Magician Girl!" Syrus confessed. This time was Jaden to have a poker face on him. The duel spirits started laughing behind him.
"Someone has a crush on your Big Sis, Jay…" Berenice started.
"What will you do?" Mana asked mockingly.
"Are you going to be your 'little brother' wingman?" Cleo finished.
'Girls… BE QUIET!' Jaden said to the three spirits, only they could hear it.
"Hum… Big Bro. There's something I wanted to say it too, but I also feel uneasy to say…" Syrus said, Jaden giving his attention to him again. "What is it, Sy?" he asked.
"My… my birthday is coming soon: 25th September, where I'll be 16. I just wanted to tell you this, because you're my best friend. No one, except my mum ever celebrated my birthday with me, and I didn't want to celebrate it alone..." Syrus murmured, and then he bowed in front of Jaden, asking him, "Please be on my birthday day! I beg you…"
Jaden looked at him, after hearing the fact he had a card crush, he decided to tell him his birthday was coming soon. In five days, precisely. That was too much information for him to handle, so Yubel decided to help.
"Jaden. Phone. NOW!" those were the three words she told Jaden, the three other monster spirits nodding. He however felt unamused by the idea, but couldn't think of any other idea to make Syrus happy. He really needed more company…
It was already midnight and Syrus was feeling sleepy. "Well Big Bro, today was another great day, staying by your side and watching another awesome duel of yours… taking out the 'love letter' stuff…" he and Jaden shivered still thinking about that realization. "I'm already tired… so I'm going to take a nap. See you tomorrow, Jay-Big Bro." Syrus finished, dressed with his pj's and went to his bunk bed.
"Yeah… good night, Sy." Jaden sighed and went out his room to the railing, so he could have his call.
"Hello? Is that you Jaden?" the other person called from the phone.
"Yeah, it's me. It's been a while we don't talk… I really miss you already. I actually decided to call you, because I have a favor from you." Jaden said, while looking at the moon. He started asking the preparations for the next days.

*Monster's Realm, inside a Spellcasting Room*
Dark Magician Girl was facing another Spellcaster wearing a bluish-purple outfit attire, with a pointy hat, lines running across it; just like Dark Magician Girl, he was also wielding a long scepter. He had short dark blue hair and dark blue eyes, with a serious look to the female sorceress.
"It's about time I finish this… Go Dark Burning Attack! Burn him down!" Dark Magician Girl said holding her scepter, pointing front to the other Spellcaster. He only sighed, holding his scepter as well.
"You're naïve, my apprentice! You can't play with fire without being prepared for it. Go Black Illusion!" and the male spellcaster flashed away from the female sorceress' scepter attack.
"Darn it… I missed my target again!" she said, gripping her scepter.
"It's my turn to attack then. I'll use my Dark Magic Attack! I'll destroy your set of defenses." He said, magic bursting from his scepter to the female sorceress side, destroying a pair of cylinders. "NO! Not my Magic Cylinder!" she murmured.
"And that's not all. It's time I end our class with Thousand Knives! You know what this means." the male sorceress said, multiple knives hovering around him.
"It's my loss… again" Dark Magician Girl said. "As expected from my master. You're stronger than me, Dark Magician!" she continued with a cheering tone.
"You're used to play around magic, you still forget you can still surpass me, Girl! But we can't wait for so long, something dangerous might happen someday somehow. We need to get ready." Dark Magician said, when he received a call. It was from his summoner, he sighed.
"Our class is over… Dismissed! It appears our master needs you!"
"Yugi needs me? I wonder for…" Dark Magician Girl thought.
And yes, there we have one more chapter, another plot twist :) (for those who watched the anime will know about it, the plot twists will keep on goin). Yeah, Syrus birthday: A day that probably some people ignore, ahahah... I actually did my homework and searched on this kid's private life. I'm such a mole in these main characters added topics. But anyways, I might start publishing my future stories in a way longer time period. Probably will change my date post of my chapters from the 3rd day to maybe 4 or 5 day period, to have at least a date time to finish my chapters.
