Izumi stared up at the gigantic building that was UA, "I can't believe we're here." Izumi said softly, smiling when she felt a familiar presence walk up to her and intertwine their hands.

"We worked hard for this Mia," Kirishima said with a grin, looking down at his girlfriend, who was staring at his hair in shock.

"Y-your hair…" she started.

"What about it?" He asked in confusion.

"It's...it's red!" she exclaimed, suddenly studying it from various angles, "did you put hairspray in it?"

"It wouldn't stay spiky otherwise! It's my tribute to Red Riot!" he punched his fists together with a smile, "d-do you like it?"

Izumi's gaze softened, giving him a small kiss on the cheek, "I love it." she said.

Kirishima's grin got bigger as he pumped his hand in the air, "let's go in there and show them just how manly we are!"

"Okay!" Izumi cheered alongside him, giggling as they walked into the building, nudging each other playfully as they headed towards the classroom; both stopping to stare at the giant door in front of them.

"You think it's like a 'this is how big your commitment should be' type thing?" Kirishima asked.

"it 's more than likely for people who's quirks make them huge." Izumi said with a calming sigh, 'okay...so long as we don't get engines guy or Bakugo we'll be fine." she mumbled, pushing the door open and instantly freezing at the scene before her.

"GET YOUR FEET OFF THE DESK!"

"FUCK OFF!"

"My luck hates me…" she said quietly as Kirishima stepped in.

"Both of you calm down." he said, crossing his arms, "it's not very manly picking fights on the first day!"

Bakugo turned his glare to Kirishima, his eyes narrowing slightly, "Fuck off shitty hair!" he growled.

"My hair isn't that different from yours!" he exclaimed hotly.

"You two...Hello! My name is Tenya Iida from Somei-" Iida began as he approached them with a hand outstretched.

"W-we heard from the door." Izumi stuttered with a hesitant smile, shaking his hand, "I'm Izumi Midoriya."

"Eijiro Kirishima." Kirishima said, puffing his chest up and trying to look intimidating, 'you gonna try and start stuff like you did back at the entrance exam."

"No, I wanted to apologize." he said, giving them a bow, "I treated you both unfairly and without provocation, I misjudged you both; please forgive me!"

Kirishima grinned and clapped him on the shoulder, 'don't sweat it! It takes a real man to admit when they're wrong!"

"Thank you for the apology." Izumi said brightly while Bakugo grumbled in his seat., she did the best to ignore him as Uraraka came in, happily gushing with the girl until their teacher came in.

He was a sour man, with long, tangled hair and a scarf that was heavily piled around his shoulders and neck. "It took all of you eight minutes to quiet down, in the future you need to be more rational. Now, put these track suits on and meet me down at the gym grounds."

"What about orientation?" Uraraka asked.

"We aren't going, it's a waste of time, now hurry up."

"Dudes not much for words is he?" Kaminari asked, looking at his new classmates.

"No, but it's probably a good idea to get out there quickly.' Izumi sighed, picking up one of the tracksuits and heading for the door, most of the girls following along.

"Alright, now that you're all here." he began, "today we will be holding a quirk assessment...Bakugo, what did you average on the softball throw?"

"About seventy meters, give or take, why?"

"Do it again," Aizawa said, tossing a softball to him, "and this time, use your quirk."

Bakugo caught the softball and looked at it, "I can use my quirk? Strong as I want?" he asked cautiously.

"Just don't step out of that circle," he said, motioning to the one on the ground a ways from where they stood.

"Alright, you asked for it." Bakugo scoffed, walking over to circle, "DIE!" he roared as he threw the ball with a powerful explosion behind it.

"Die?" Kirishima whispered to Izumi in confusion.

"That's Bakugo for you." she sighed.

"You'll all need to show what you can do, and go plus ultra." Aizawa said as he held up his phone to show off the distance.

"703 meters!?"

"Alright! That's what I'm talking about!" Kirishima cheered "using our quirks as much as we want! This'll be so much fun!"

"Fun huh?"

Izumi felt a chill go down her spine as she looked at Aizawa, the man was giving them a creepy grin that had everyone shrinking back.

"In that case, let's make this more 'fun', the person who comes in last, will be expelled."

"But that's not fair!" Uraraka cried.

"And natural disasters are? Muggings? Fires? Life isn't fair children, and the only way to weather it is by going plus ultra, so don't hold back, now, Midoriya, Bakugo, you two are first up for the fifty meter dash, the rest of you line up behind them."

WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW

Bakugo glared at the ground as he listened to shitty hair cheer Izumi on, the healing quirk user had kept a steady placement throughout the tests, easily placing within the top ten in terms of physical strength; by all accounts Bakugo was proud of his former friend/ex-girlfriend.

But if that Shitty haired idiot yelled about manliness one more time he was gonna send him flying.

"Way to go Izumi!" Kirishima exclaimed as the girl threw her softball, hitting a distance of 124 meters.

"Thanks Kiri,' she said with a sweet smile, making Bakugo bristle.

You shouldn't be smiling at that idiot like that. He thought angrily, clenching his fists and digging his nails into his palm.

"Alright, your scores are on the board, note where you were weak and try and work on that."

Bakugo didn't even bother looking for his name, instead he looked for Izumi's, feeling a slight relief to see her name in the tenth place spot.

"I….I'm last…" the invisible girl sniffled, letting her head fall as the pink girl ran over to her to comfort her.

"Oh and no ones getting expelled."

"WHAT!?"

"it was a logical deception!" He said with a creepy smile, "a ruse to push you to do your best."

"You guys didn't know that? I thought it was fairly obvious, that's why i didn't say anything."

Aizawa huffed, "you're all dismissed for the day, Syllabus is back in the classroom, Izumi, go see Recovery Girl, she wants to speak to you about your quirk."

"Y-yes sir." Izumi said, turning to Kirishima as everyone else began walking away, "I better head straight there, see you after?"

"Of course," he said, smiling stupidly when she gave him a kiss on the cheek before heading towards the main villain.

"Lucky bastard." Kaminari sighed as Kirishima rejoined them, still grinning stupidly.

"Luckiest one in the world." Kirishima sighed, making Sero laugh.

"She's got you whipped doesn't she?" Sato asked with his arms crossed.

"What can I say? She's amazing."

Bakugo growled and left the locker room, still in his gym clothes.

"Hey where are you going!?" Sero called in confusion.

"Gym! Training isn't over!" he snarled, slamming the door behind him.

"What's that guy's problem?" Kaminari asked.

"Beats me." Kirishima said, staring at the door for a few minutes before he started getting changed.

Meanwhile, Izumi was just entering the infirmary, surprised to find Abe talking happily with Recovery Girl, "Sensei?" Izumi asked in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"I was catching up with my former teammate." the large man boomed jovially, "and informing her about some of the things we figured out about your quirk!"

"It's quite a remarkable one dearie.' Recovery Girl said with a smile, "though not entirely consistent.'

"It's underpowered sometimes, but I'm sure I can do more with just a bit of training!"

"I'm sure you can, why don't you sit down, I believe we've figured out just a bit more about your quirk after I compared notes with Old Stone Fist here.'

"You're six months older than I am." Abe muttered as Izumi giggled.

"So, what did you figure out?" she asked curiously as she sat down.

"Well, it's apparent that you're able to heal just about anything, but depending on the patient it either leaves you tired, unconscious, or it doesn't work. We believe the source is the cause of the problem."

"The source? You mean my energy levels? I'm sure if I keep up my training then I can increase my stamina and heal more with less-"

"-now, now dearie, we don't think you're the primary source of energy." Recovery girl said gently.

"W-what?" she asked softly.

"We think your quirk goes off the energy levels of the person you're healing." Abe began, taking over for Recovery Girl, "of the subjects I had you heal, you were only unable to heal the ones who were bed-ridden. Who didn't have the energy-"

"-you also couldn't heal Young Uraraka without passing out because her energy was already so drained." Recovery Girl finished, "and on the other side of things, you healed one of the worst injuries I have ever seen in one go, with only a minor energy drain for yourself."

"So we deduce that your healing draws strength from the subject you're healing," Abe sighed, "so long as they have enough energy to survive the healing, then the affect on you will be limited; however, when they don't have enough energy then your quirk will draw off of you, the drain on your energy we can fix with training."

"But you should know that your quirk will still not work if the person you're healing requires too much of your energy." Recovery Girl sighed, "and if you try to force it, you could end up killing yourself."

The words settled heavily on Izumi's shoulders, "I...I could kill myself?"

"It would only happen if you force your quirk," Abe reassured her, "so long as you're not trying to force it, you'll be fine."

Izumi took a deep breath, "okay.' she said.

"Well, now that we've gotten that bit of unpleasantness behind us, let's do some quirk training."

Kirishima waited at the gates, humming happily as he waited for his girlfriend to meet him.

"Oi, Shitty Hair."

Kirishima looked up, tensing as he watched Bakugo walk over.

"The name is Kirishima, and my hair's not that different from yours!" Kirishima said gruffly, crossing his arms.

Bakugo scowled, but didn't comment on that, "what's your deal with Izumi?"

Kirishima raised an eyebrow, "that doesn't concern you."

Bakugo narrowed his eyes, then pushed past him, hands shove into pockets, "don't hurt her.' he growled.

Kirishima stared ahead for a few moments, lip twitching slightly, "you mean like how you hurt her?" he asked, turning around with a fire in his eyes.

Bakugo froze, his hands clenching the inside of his pocket, "she told you."

"Of course she did," he said, "she told me not to retaliate against you, and I was finding it hard to find a reason not to."

Bakugo turned around, "So what? You gonna fight me?" he challenged, pulling his hands from his pockets as smoke curled off his knuckles.

"No," Kirishima grunted, "Not now, but when we get to foundational Hero studies, when they set us against each other, I don't care if it's teams or not, I'm gonna be gunning for you; I'm gonna make sure you feel as much pain as you put her through."

Bakugo turned away once more, "I already am." he muttered, walking away from the hardening user, who watched him walk away with uncharacteristically cold eyes.

"Kirishima?"

The timid voice of his girlfriend instantly relaxed him as he turned around, giving her a warm smile, "hey Zumi, how'd it go?" he asked as the girl let out a tired sigh.

"I'm exhausted," she mumbled leaning into him as he put an arm around her, "I healed eighteen people today, Recovery Girl let me go when I almost passed out healing a gash on a third years arm."

"But you still healed it right?" he asked with a grin.

Izumi smiled, "yeah, I did." she said proudly, "I healed everything completely."

"That's my girl.' he said, giving her a kiss on the temple and making her blush, 'now lets go get some celebratory food!"

The next day: Foundational Heroes Class

"YOU ALL LOOK SO COOL!"

'Hell yeah we do!" Kirishima whoops, turning to Izumi, who was having a hard time keeping her eyes off of Kirishima's bare chest, "and I love your costume Izumi.

"Thank you,' she said cutely, looking down at her own costume, a sleeveless dark green body suit with black accents and a simply black domino mask, with a white band on her left forearm bearing the red plus of a medic; a utility belt was secured on her waist, holding emergency medical supplies, she adjusted her gloves and the shin guards Abe had given her. "I wish this bodysuit wasn't so tight though."

"I like it." Kirishima said with a grin, then quickly backtracked, "I-I mean you look good! N-not that you don't look good usually, it's just that-you see the costume is-"

Izumi giggled, cutting off Kirishima's rambling, "thank you," she said, kissing his cheek.

"NOW! ONTO TODAY'S SCENARIO! IN DOOR BATTLE TRAINING! TODAY, YOU WILL BE FACING EACH OTHER!"

As the class began to pester their teacher with questions on what the limitations of the training were, Izumi turned a discreet eye to Bakugo, surprised to find him glaring at Kirishima.

And a glance at her boyfriend revealed him to be glaring right back.

"NOW!" All-Might boomed, catching Izumi's attention, "WE WILL BE DECIDING TEAMS BY DRAWING LOTS! EVERYONE LINE UP!"

"I got A." Izumi called after she pulled out her own lot.

'I got A too!" Uraraka cheered, running over to Izumi, who smiled at her happily.

"Yo Sero!" Kirishima called, nudging the other boy, "we're on a team together man!"

"Alright! We're definitely gonna win this!"

"NOW THAT THE TEAMS HAVE BEEN DECIDED, LETS SEE WHO WILL BE FACING OFF FIRST!" All-Might reached into two separate boxes and pulled out two slips of paper, "Team D vs Team J! Team D will be the villains, and team J will be the heroes! Team D, you have five minutes to prepare!"

Izumi quietly slipped over to Kirishima as everyone else walked towards the viewing room, "this is what you wanted, isn't it?" she asked softly.

Kirishima nodded, "he has to pay 'Zumi…" he whispered, "you don't want him getting expelled and won't tell Toshi or Abe, so please; let me teach him a lesson."

Izumi sighed, "please don't get hurt." she begged.

"I won't, I promise.' with that he gave her forehead a kiss and stepped back, watching as she walked away.

"You two good?" Sero asked.

"Yeah...hey Sero, when we go in there, Bakugo is mine."

"Dude come on, his quirk is way too overpowered, you can't-"

"Please.' Kirishima said, making Sero pause, "I need to fight him."

Sero sighed, "alright fine, I'll scale the building from the outside and locate the bomb, but if you're having any kind of trouble with him then I'm gonna come in and help."

"That's fine, but I won't need it." Kirishima said firmly.

"FIRST BATTLE TRIAL, BEGIN!"
