Izuku still seemed troubled and had a hard time focusing in class. After the day was over, Katsuki stood up from his desk and turned back to talk to Izuku. "Deku.."
"Y-yes, Kacchan?" Izuku looked up to him from his notes, hesitant. He anticipated a rude comment as he always seemed to give.
"Would... Would you want to hang out tonight?" Katsuki glared down to him with a straight face.
"Ah.. Yeah. What's the occasion?" Surprised by his actions.
"Tch. Can't friends just hang out?" He clicked his tongue at him as he turned to the classroom exit.
'Did..Did he just call us friends? We haven't hung out since we were kids.'
Izuku panicked as he packed his things in his bag.
Katsuki turned back to Izuku, noticing he was deep in thought. "Hey! Don't over think it, ne-." He stopped himself before finishing his insult.
"R-Right." Izuku laughed as he stood up from his desk with his bag in hand.
Neither of them spoke as they made it to the dorms and headed up to Katsuki's room.
Eijiro noticed them walk into the room together. "That's a bit strange. When did those two start to hang out?"
Katsuki walked over to turn on the T.V. and grabbed two controllers. He sat down on his bed across from the T.V.
'I haven't been in Kacchan's room..' Izuku thought to himself while he stood at the door, gazing around Katsuki's bedroom.
"Quit being so damn awkward and have a seat." Katsuki remarked as he held up one controller towards Izuku.
"S-Sorry!" Izuku rushed to grab the controller and sat to Katsuki's right.
It stayed quite while they played. Katsuki looked over to Izuku, noticing he didn't seem to be enjoying himself. He still seemed lost in thought. "Deku.."
"Hm?"
"What's your problem?" He glared at him, holding his controller out with his left hand.
"W-What do you mean?"
"I've beat you five times in a row. Not much of a challenge there for me." He let out a long sigh.
"Oh..." Izuku looked down in front of himself. His mind still troubled him so much he couldn't even enjoy this time with Kacchan.
"Something's bothering you." Katsuki sat his controller to his side and leaned back against the wall. "What is it?" He asked as he crossed his arms and avoiding eye contact with him, he knew what was actually troubling him.
Izuku looked surprised at him, Kacchan normally wouldn't bother with such worries. He haven't even talked about his sister to anyone else. He briefly smiled as he looked forward, thrilled that he would care to ask. "Ah.. It's Kana. I'm not sure what to say to her. I don't know anything about her, how would we start? And.. T-there's all these questions I have. I just... Am I over thinking this?"
"Of course you are, idiot." Katsuki remarked causing Izuku to look at him with wide eyes. "Quit thinking about it and go talk to your sister already. You'll just continue to sulk until you do. Besides..." He paused, taking a few moments before he made eye contact with him, "Do you really want to waste any more time?"
Izuku scratched his head feeling ridiculous as he chuckled. 'He's right. We've already lost our childhood together. Wait! Did he just guess she's my sister? Do we look that much a like?' He wondered as he stared at Katsuki.
Katsuki picked his controller back up and started the game. "Now get into the game! I'll feel better about kicking your ass if you at least try to win." He chuckled with a huge grin.
'Thank you, Kacchan.'
Kana trained alone outside her dorm. She continued to toss out combination of jabs and kicks as sweat dripped down her face. Yasuko and Hideo walked out from the dorm's side doors. Yasuko ran up to the railing of the deck and waved her hand out to Kana. "Kana! Want to come watch a movie with us?" Her face lit up when she spoke. Hideo stood next to her with his arms crossed over his grey tank top.
"Not interested." Kana didn't stop training as she replied.
"I told you this was a waste of our time." Hideo remarked, tossing his nose up and glaring down at Kana. He watched as she quickly jabbed the air. 'All that girl does is train.'
"I really want to spend some time with Kana!" Yasuko crossed her arms as she pouted, "And so do you, brother!"
Hideo uncrossed his arms and turned so no one could see his embarrassed face.
Kana froze, slowly pulling her fists back to her side as she stared off at the ground. 'Why do these two insist on talking to me? I hate seeing...' she grew with anger thinking about these two. "Go away. " She angrily growled out, not looking up at them.
Disappointment filled Yasuko as she turned to her brother. He shook his head as he walked back inside. Yasuko looked back at Kana before following her brother.
Kana clenched her fists to her side, they started to tremble as frustration and jealousy consumed her. They have what she wanted. She's tried to act like Yasuko, being playful with Izuku but he didn't respond well to any interactions. Was she doing this wrong?
"K-Kana?" Izuku's voice snapped her out of her line of thought.
She quickly turned around to see Izuku in the entrance to her dorm. They both locked eyes but neither of them spoke right away.
"I'm sorry. F-For the past few days... I've been so occupied with what I'm going through that I didn't think... How you must feel."
Kana glanced back up to the dorms, noticing Yasuko watching her. "Let's take a walk." She said as she walked towards him.
The two walked quietly for a few minutes, side by side with Izuku on the right side of Kana.
"So, how did you find me?" Izuku scratched his cheek. "Mom said dad took you to America with him when we were young..."
She stayed quite, thinking on what to say before she spoke. "I happen to be watching the UA's tournament last year.. That's when I saw you. I couldn't believe my eyes how close you resemble dad. That's when... I questioned him."
A smile filled Izuku's face as she spoke. "I thought the same thing when I saw you. You look just like mom!"
She stopped walking and stared at him. 'Just like her?'
Izuku turned back to her, "A-Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah.." She continued to walk next to him. "I'm just curious about something. Your quirk."
"Y-yeah. Its a bit different from the family's." Izuku's heart race as he nervously scratched the back of his head.
"Interesting." She mumbled under her breath. She felt like he was hiding something.
"Its nothing like yours. Mom can only move small things towards her . Seems like you're capable of so much more. But how were you able to dodge all those attacks without moving?" Izuku's eyes lit up in excitement.
"I forced my opponent's attacks slightly so they would miss."
"Wow! That's an amazing use of your quirk!" Izuku pulled out his notebook from his back pocked and started to scribble notes.
Kana's eyes widen as he mumbled notes down. She hardly moved and began to zone out.
"Kana?" Izuku called out to her as he went to put his book away. He reached out to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
She snapped out of it and looked over to his hand touching her. She looked back up to him as he called out her name a second time.
"Are you okay?"
"It's just... dad would mumble as he took notes like that..." she looked away from him as she spoke.
"Ah. I guess dad and I must be really a like. Speaking of dad. How is he?"
"I don't know... I haven't seen him in a while." She passed off, unphased by her own comment.
"Wait. What do you mean?" He grabbed her right arm and turning her to him. "So, you've been alone?" He worried as she didn't respond to him. He took a step closer to her and wrapped his arms around her. "I won't let you feel alone again. I promise." He said as he hugged her tight.
She held her arms partially out, unsure what to do. She trembled as she wrapped her arms around his back and rested her head on his shoulder. ' He's so warm.'
He looked back down to her, placing his hands on her upper arms. "It's okay now. Your big brother is here."
A smiled filled her face as he said those words. That faded when she noticed his hands had scars on them, leading up his arms. "What happened here?"
He put his left hand behind his head and waved his right hand out in front of him. " Ah... Over using my quirk caused that. I've improved since then so no need to worry."
She stared at the scars that covered him, trailing them up towards his face, where he caught her attention again.
"Kana. Could I ask you something? Why did you confront Kacchan the other night?"
She turned her head and pouted. "It made me so angry to see him be so mean to you." He began laughing, causing her face to turn beat red. "You don't have to laugh at me!" Puffing her cheeks out as she continued to pout.
"I'm sorry to laugh." He chuckled as he held his arm across his abdomen. "You don't have to worry about him. He can be that way at times but he really means well." He wrapped his left arm around her shoulders, guiding her to walk again. "We have so much to catch up on."
