I don't care if Monday's blue.
Double calculus on a Monday felt like the very worst of punishments. He was barely awake. He could barely stay awake for the class. He hated Mondays.
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too.
Tuesday and Wednesday brought little excitement. There were rumours about a new girl Quinn Fabray, who had transferred that week and already made the cheerios, but he paid little attention. The rumours were nearly always wrong.
Thursday, I don't care about you.
Lucy Caboosy was no more. Now she was Quinn Fabray, the blonde cheerleader she had always idolised. The rumour mill was alive with tales of the first cheerio to make the squad half way through the academic year. They were finally the right rumours. Lucy Caboosy was gone and Quinn Fabray was going to be everything Lucy Caboosy never was.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
He passed the brand new blonde cheerio in the corridor and did a double take. She raised a hand and gave him a small wave, he noticed that under the outward confidence she looked less confident and more reserved.
"Quinn is it?" He asked her, stopping her misstep. She stopped to look at him.
"Yeah Quinn." She replied, with shy smile.
"Finn Hudson." He introduced.
Monday you can fall apart.
It had been two months since he met her and now they were offically boyfriend and girlfriend. He beamed as he walked down the corridor an arm rapped around his girlfriend. "I got a B." She looked devastated as she spoke. "A B Finn." He didn't really know what to say. A B would be perfect for him. He envied her B, but he also knew how devastating it was for her, so he pulled her closer to him.
"I'm sorry Quinn." He told her. She offered him a small smile in return. /span/p
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart.
"Why would you do that?" Quinn snapped at him, giving him her best glare.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled, keeping his eyes on the trainers he wore on his feet. He knew she was glowering at him, but he decided to avoid eye contact and wait out her mood swing.
"Don't let it happen again." She snapped, before turning her back and stomping down the corridor.
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start.
Thursday was exhausting. He could barely take in anything that was happening. At seven PM on Wednesday night he remembered a long standing project due in Thursday, so he'd been up until five AM getting it done. He'd had an hours sleep and it showed. He almost fell asleep in math, and in football practise he'd lost his focus and tripped over a cone. It really wasn't his best day, but tomorrow would be better, because tomorrow was Friday and on Friday he would have a date with Quinn.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
They laughed as she fed him a breadstick, and she rolled her eyes as he tossed crumbs in her a direction, a wide smile on her face. "You look beautiful tonight." He told her sincerely, she wore a pastel pink dress, her hair in loose curls, and just the right amount of makeup on her face.
"You're too sweet." She told him, focusing on the breadstick in her hand. He very rarely saw her insecurities, but just from looking at her he knew right away she didn't fully believe him.
"Hey," He grabbed her hand. "Miranda Kerr has nothing on you Quinn Fabray."
She smiled at him as he said that, before shaking her head and looking at him. "Well if I'm Miranda Kerr then I guess you're Orlando Bloom." She chuckled, before looking at him. "Only hotter." She added with a wink.
As the date continued all he could think was just how much he loved Friday night date night.
Saturday, wait.
She was busy all Saturday helping out with an event at her church and for once he had finished with his homework, so he'd called her and offered to help. He ended up helping an older couple, Marla and Gerry, make and serve drinks in the tea tent. "You and Quinn are such a sweet couple." Marla informed him, as she sorted a pot of coffee.
"Honey." Gerry called, as he walked into the kitchen. "I need the coffee pot." Marla handed it to him with a smile. "And young man," He gave Finn a smile. "you and Miss Fabray make a wonderful couple."
"I was just telling him that dear." Marla chuckled.
"As the drinks continued to be made and served Finn found himself beaming with every compliment Marla and Gerry offered him.
And Sunday always comes too late, but Friday, never hesitate.
Friday rolled around faster then he was expecting. Today she'd convinced her dad to let them hang out in his hot tub, under the condition they kept swimming clothes on at all times of course. With a spring in his step he reached her home and waited until she let him in. Before he knew it he was making out with her in the hot tub. Fridays were good days./span/p
I don't care if Monday's black Tuesday, Wednesday, heart attack. Thursday, never looking back. It's Friday, I'm in love.
The week had been long. He'd failed math, the team had lost two games and he'd been forced into joining the glee club, where he had been cornered by the terrifying Rachel Berry. But that didn't matter anymore because it was Friday and he was seeing her today. He'd been looking forward to it all week. He picked her up and took her to the park, where he set out a picnic. "Finn." She breathed. He shot her a wink as he grabbed a piece of her favourite fruit, grapes, and dropped it into her mouth. When she'd swallowed it, she beamed. "You're the best boyfriend." She told him. He responded by fist pumping the air.
Monday you can hold your head.
She wouldn't speak to him. He didn't know why, but she wouldn't speak to him. He was confused and hurt, but he wasn't going to give up.
Tuesday, Wednesday, stay in bed.
She was off for two days. That wasn't like her. Now he was really worried.
Or Thursday watch the walls instead.
She was back, but she still refused to speak to him, and he couldn't work out why.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
She missed their Friday date. For the first time she missed their Friday date.
Saturday, wait. And Sunday always comes too late.
She refused to speak to him that weekend. He was getting seriously worried./span/p
But Friday, never hesitate.
He confronted her Friday. She broke down and told him she was pregnant. He didn't know what to say. She was pregnant. It was all his fault.
Dressed up to the eyes. It's a wonderful surprise.
She made an effort that Friday night, to look perfect. He wasn't sure how long she'd taken to sort out her hair and make up and make sure that not a strand or smudge could be seen anywhere. She wore a tight fitting sky blue dress, she'd shrugged and made the point she wouldn't be able to wear it much longer as she'd arrived. The fact she looked so beautiful didn't take away from the fact they had lots to discuss, even if she seemed to think they didn't.
To see your shoes and your spirits rise. Throw out your frown.
He hated seeing her look so sad as they began to talk about the baby. She explained that she was going to keep it, but that she knew keeping it meant her parents wouldn't want her around and that she would no longer be captain of the cheerios. A price she was willing to pay, she told him, but she wasn't convincing.
And just smile at the sound Sleek as a shriek, spinning 'round and 'round.
Another week passed and as she'd join glee club before pregnancy, they had been suggested as the female and Male vocal lead, she'd been delighted until morning sickness had hit and he'd told Mr Schuster everything and asked him to take the pressure off of her. He agreed and now Finn was singing with Rachel.
Always take a big bite It's such a gorgeous sight. To see you eat in the middle of the night.
Watching her eat burgers at three am was a strange sensation. Her parents didn't know about the baby, but she'd seriously been craving a burger, so he'd snuck into her home, armed with a burger and fries. She was grateful, even if she didn't say that to him.
You can never get enough. Enough of this stuff. It's Friday, I'm in love.
Friday rolled around and he needed it. He didn't know how the school had found out about the baby, but they knew and Quinn was in pieces over it. He'd spent most of the week holding her as she wept, and in glee club she'd broken down in front of the group as they'd sung Keep Holding On, she was no longer cheerios captain and he knew she was devastated by it. They only sense of normal she'd had was at home and he'd ruined that by telling her mom and dad about the baby. Now she was homeless, but at least it was Friday. At least they had their date night.
I don't care if Monday's blue.
The glee club had sang them a song, Lean On Me, and they'd both needed it. At least they had glee club. At least they weren't totally alone.
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too.
She was stumbling through the days and he knew it. He was stumbling too, but she seemed to be struggling more. He was going to make sure she got through this. No matter the cost.
Thursday, I don't care about you.
A week later Rachel blurted it all out. The baby wasn't his. His daughter wasn't his daughter anymore. He didn't know what to say or do. He'd lost his baby. He'd lost his girlfriend. He'd lost his glee club.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
For the first time in a year they even see each other that Friday and it hurt him. It physically hurt him.
Monday you can fall apart, Tuesday, Wednesday, break my heart, Thursday doesn't even start.
He'd always wondered how he'd ended up married to her. Quinn Fabray, the women who'd lied about his baby all those years ago, the women who now stood rocking their daughter, Maylee, back to sleep, as their older daughter, Spencer, sang a lullaby. The women he was totally and completely in love with. "Daddy!" Spencer spotted him. He put a hand on his lips, as his daughter charged at him, Quinn turned and gave him a smile as he picked Spencer up and spun her around. It had been a long week. Maylee wasn't sleeping and Spencer hated preschool, but tomorrow was Friday and even after all these years, they kept it as their date night. They'd started dating again on a Friday, they had married on Friday, Spencer had even been born on a Friday.
Fridays were always his favourite.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
