A Child's Precautions

Nezu was in deep thought that night as the faculty convened outside the cute cottage Cementoss built for their young ward and made it as cutesy as possible as a first step to heal her scarred mind from her ordeal under Overhaul...courtesy of her own mother.

Due to her limited vocabulary as a child, what they got was when her Quirk manifested at four, she caused her father to disappear. Her mother screamed, shouted and hit her, then dragged her to the car painfully and abandoned her to her grandfather who in turn scolded her mother for blaming the child for what wasn't her fault as Quirk Manifestations are unpredictable beyond a toddler's control. But the mother won't have it and called her a monster and left.

Her grandfather was so kind but after six months, he fell ill and won't wake up...and that was when her personal hell under Overhaul began.

The furry principal was pissed.

Bad enough he was experimented on because he was an animal with a Quirk...now on a young child who barely knew about her world blamed for what was never her fault?

One of his students had spotted the obvious and fled before being seen. Sure its vigilantism, but no witnesses so nobody can call her out on it, so they can overlook that for now...

And so...a drug trade for a drug that erases Quirks can no longer be perfected upon the poor girl's liberation. However, Overhaul still has samples of Eri's DNA through her flesh and blood, they have to get rid of those...but alas, the irritant called Search Warrant is in their way and to do that, they have to fork all their cards over. Including a traumatized child who needs serious counseling, so Hound Dog will also stay in the cottage until he deems Eri stable enough to testify against Shie Hassaikai. She'll also have to be educated on what's right and wrong, good and bad for kids.

Until then, even NightEye can't act as not even he, will push a traumatized kid to work on his two-years-long building case.

She seriously thinks Quirks are a disease and her own disease will cure the diseased world as Overhaul would tell her.

With a little girl whose best safety is being in an unknown location, this was delicate.

And Izuku mailed that she will be absent for a week as a precaution to guard her mother to STILL be sure she really wasn't seen that night. If no attempts were made, she can relax and go back to school.

So Nezu hacked security cams that night and there were attempts to hack as well, hackers happened same time he did, so he screwed them over to protect the Midoriyas and hacked telecommunications to conceal Izuku's communications with Nighteye and UA regarding Eri from technopathic quirks as a precaution. Next will be dealing with a number of people if they find out he was the hacker...if they were as good as he is, that is!

Perhaps his kids need lessons regarding cameras soon if they'll pull stunts...or maybe not...choices choices.

Next morning...

'Hello? Yes. Yes of course.' yup, he's found out. 'We are in a delicate situation that needed a little interference. This is something we cannot talk about by phone, so please come see us in UA.'

And by that, the Midoriyas were called to UA too, to deal with the security office employees and police to give their statements and with Eri present and clearly liking them...so things were settled peacefully because a little girl's life was on the literal line for a power she didn't ask for, and she'll be a Ward of UA for her own good...because Eraserhead can diffuse any uncontrollable outbursts until she's old and mature enough for it so the entirety of UA are Loco Parentis thus, and she's got more scars than a typical domestic abuse victim for someone who's only five...and nobody wanted the widespread production of Quirk-Erasing Drugs either. Hell, she wasn't even educated so she was literally helpless beyond her desire to sneak out and escape!

'I'm glad that was done with.' said Izuku as only she, her mother and the faculty are left behind.

'Yes. Well, for now you and your mother are safe from retaliation while Eri-chan is safe here in this school.' said Nezu. 'You were quick with your actions. Otherwise had you waited the next sunrise, you and your mother will have been killed and Eri-chan taken back to her personal hell.' the three females gulped at the idea. 'Midoriya-san, I recall that you're a normal housewife...?'

'Y-yes...my husband is working overseas, sending us money.' said Inko.

'Then, would you like the job of being Eri-chan's personal tutor as given the situation, we cannot trust any outsider with Eri-chan?' Nezu suggested. 'I will prepare a curriculum in a week for her as she will remain in U.A for her safety, until the right people are assembled to deal with Overhaul and Shie Hassaikai. But even then with a quirk like hers that can potentially turn back time of living things when we had her use her power on a plant and a cell phone...it will make her a target, if people pieced things together.' he said. 'Because she is one who can cause Genetic Regression if she put her mind to it, causing humans to return to a state before humanity evolved to gain Quirks happened. That, and causing you to cease to exist by rewinding your time until you return to babyhood, and cellular development up to the defusion of egg and sperm cells. That is what her Rewind can do...and hardcore quirkists will target Eri as a threat to their power.'

'Eri will grow up in U.A where she will get the best education to survive and live.' said Nezu. 'And we need Eraserhead until her maturity when she can control her powers herself.'

'So it's Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High...and High School will be here by herself.' said Eraserhead.

'Yes. We will take care of the High School part. Up to Junior High will be in Midoriya-san's hands while Eri-chan's P.E activities will be handled by us.'

'I'll do my best!' Inko said in determination.

'U.A will also handle Eri-chan's meals. Nutritional Factor for a growing child will be decided as well and soldier ration bars that taste like paper are not food.' those last words were stated darkly as the faculty wasn't too happy when Eri said what her food was. A tray of ration bars known to taste like misery on purpose while jacked with nutritional requirements for a soldier in a battlefield.

'Uhm...is that good?' Eri piped up curiously.

'Is what good, Eri-chan?' Izuku asked her.

'School.'

'School being whether good or bad, depends solely on the teachers and their attitude towards impressionable children.' said Izuku. 'There are good schools wherein there are teachers who teach children good morals, right conduct, ethics, manners and etiquette to make them grow up into good adults who grow up to care for others and do the right thing by each other, and there are also teachers who do bad by children in many bad ways.'

She told them what growing up was like for her, that was against how her mother raised her. Emphasis on Quirks, one's value based on quirks, what they can do and cannot do in such limited worldview, and quirk racism and quirkless bullying!

'Even I was looked down for my so-called 'weak' Quirk that can only do first-aid on minor injuries...I made the idiots think my quirk is weak for my own safety but I experienced those nasty things no thanks to bad teachers.' Izuku chuckled bitterly. 'One would think they're like the Meta-Liberation Army sympathizers or something!'

'How do you know that name Midoriya-chan? That's an old piece of history around 90 years ago.' Recovery girl gasped out. 'At the time when Quirked People are persecuted!'

'I'm a Quirk Nerd and I dug up all quirk stereotypes and bias known to man given the attitudes I dealt with growing up and when I read the origins of such mindsets, I saw that name.' Izuku piped up. 'So I think if we probed enough...'

'That means we have a lot of work to do digging them up, and replacing teachers in Kindergarten and Elementary as Junior High ones and above are already indoctrinated for the worst.' said Ectoplasm. 'And that sadly went under our noses.'

'Right...I will speak to the right people regarding that matter.' said Nezu, just as unhappy as his teachers.

'Then Izuku, about Katsuki-kun...' Inko looked at her daughter, wide-eyed. 'He has a powerful explosion quirk, how was he influenced in school?! My god! And Mitsuki and Masaru don't know!' she squeaked in horror.

'I had to mitigate damages.' said Izuku flatly. 'So while he grew confident, I ensured he didn't become an egotistical, prejudiced, arrogant, haughty little shit who looks down on others and prove his superiority by fear and oppression like most students do by constantly staying by his side since we were childhood friends...and apologies to All-Might, I had to use your name to influence him positively.' she said, looking at All-Might apologetically. 'I told him many things if what I believed you would and would not approve since we're both big fans of yours and your media interviews and stunts were thankfully, helping my cause so he grew up a decent human being.'

'If its for a good cause as saving at least one person is better than failing them all, Midoriya-shoujo.' said All-Might with a grin and thumbs up before his smile fell. 'But children these days are worrying. The next generation is influenced by old enemies of old on the sly to create a cruel society. I didn't even know they existed until my mentor taught me over thirty years ago about villains he knew of.'

'Back then were terrible days.' said Recovery Girl grimly. 'I was ten years old when my parents would tell me social chaos occurred because of them that they waited until it was all over before starting a family.'

'We all know what to do.' said Nezu firmly, resting his snout on his paws. 'I want to ensure U.A is clean from such filthy ideas. U.A is the school of freedom, meaning, I don't want any showing of bullying, racism and prejudice. A learning environment of safety and security, a place where hurt children can count on the adults within to protect them. We are a school that protects students be it physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. Weed out the red flags scheduled for counseling and we'll open a class called Good Morals and Right Conduct Reform...to be taught by All-Might when we weeded out big enough numbers. All-Might and Midnight will handle the bad kids, and Hound Dog, with Midoriya-san will handle the troubled kids who suffered growing up. We'll make preparations this month to make it feasible.'

'Yes, sir!'

'Dismissed.'

'You're absent for a week and Power-Loader sensei won't say why while you worked on my costume.' said Tokage as she put on her costume.

'Well I saved a troubled high-profile child sought after by villains, got the teachers involved and we waited until we got the all-clear for safety.' said Izuku. 'That's all I'm allowed to say. I'm not a Hero Student so the risks to my mom scares me because I did a good thing and potentially making the bad guys sniff me out. So I quickly called the school for help after I got home before they found us.'

'Heee...that's a lot of suspense there for a week.' Tokage commented.

'No kidding, we were scared out of our wits.' Izuku shivered. 'But we pulled through because I acted fast instead of waiting for sunrise...and by then we're dead.'

'Good thinking there.'

'Yup. Kacchan's been texting me nonstop so I gotta talk to him at lunch break.' said Izuku. 'I kinda shut him out for a week he's not gonna be...'

'...HAPPY!' Bakugo glowered at her in the cafeteria as Izuku looked sheepish. 'Communication blackout while you're absent for a week! What the fuck happened?!'

'Read this and burn it.' Izuku gave him a thin piece of paper that summarized why she was out, and a lighter. 'The situation was so serious it cannot go public as decided by the school, OK?' grumbling, Bakugo took both from her and began reading while Izuku ate her lunch that comprised of vegetables, tofu and cold soba noodles with thickened sauce so the saucy flavors stays on her noodles.

After a minute, he quickly burned the note and said, 'Holy shit.'

'Yeah, that sums the situation up.' said Izuku flatly. 'Mom's gonna be a paid private teacher with a salary equal to the teachers here and the staff here are paid as much as university professors.' Bakugo's eyes popped. 'Well, mom will do right by that kid until sundown, and Eri-chan's P.E lessons will be for three hours until bed time so she can protect herself.'

'That's good to know, I don't want that shit on any kid.' Bakugo shivered. 'But she's a breaker just like you.' he said when he thought about her quirk and the kid's quirk.

Izuku can damn heal ANYTHING

'Aa. Its good that on records, her Quirk wasn't in the registry. One thing the villains did right. According to Sir NightEye, her full name is Takanashi Eri. At the time, her name didn't have a kanji. But while we don't know how Overhaul wrote her name, we decided to give it a happier note. We wrote it as 'picture of a hometown'. We cut her hair and dyed it permanently black so she won't be easy to find, and occasionally must use her power on trees to shrink her horn and has to wear a hat going out of the cottage to play. And as shopping is a no-no, we're relying on your classmate Yaororozu.'

'Heee...'

'But its a life of a gilded cage until she's old enough to protect herself. Principal was furious when he got the deets thus U.A is her home for a couple years. And only the faculty are allowed near her as well as mom and I as of now, no guests.'

'To lessen risk of exposure.' Bakugo frowned darkly. Yakuzas are exploiting a kid to make quirk-erasing drugs! Why and what for is the question!

'Yeah.'

Days went by until it was time for the Sports Festival.

Izuku would normally be in the medical bay as Support Students normally aren't insane enough to fight. She has the ability to, but risks exposure to villains.

'So, it's just me coming.' Hatsume Mei pouted as she had Izuku's assistance as she readied their equipment. 'How sad.'

'It can't be helped...its in their stereotypical upbringing regarding their quirks all their lives.' said Izuku. 'While we're the only ones defying fate imposed on us by everyone for our quirks. You go out there to sell, I'm advertising myself to health pros.'

'Ou!' Hatsume grinned as she ran out looking like some armored infantry from the future.

*cough*Starcraft*cough*

Izuku then headed for the Clinic with Recovery Girl.

'You ready Midoriya-chan?' Recovery Girl asked Izuku. 'The only reason U.A is the best is because of top-class Healers.' she told her. 'That the curriculum can afford crazy antics to make a student into a good Hero capable of dangerous, crazy things.' she told her. 'Without a top-rate Healer, its impossible to train everyone to their top-levels.' she told her. 'Everyone would be taking the slow-mo route to recover yet gets hurt more in training while crime goes rampant every day.' she said. 'Healers like us, are heavily valued and protected.'

'My secret is still safe, right?' Izuku asked Recovery Girl who nodded.

'Of course. Very few knows your secret.' the old woman nodded. 'In about five more years, its your turn. I held on long enough that any more excitement will not be good for me.' she said with a sigh.

'Wow, you're excited.' Izuku sweatdropped.

'Well, I'm 80. Because of my healing I lived a little longer than most people.' said Recovery Girl. 'But it doesn't change that I'm a very stressed granny!'

The Festival started with an Obstacle Race.

Zero-Pointers? 'Holy shit! Kacchan faced THOSE?!' Izuku's eyes popped out of her sockets.

'Yup, the regular exams were to defeat many villain-bots for points.' Recovery Girl quipped. 'But that one on screen are Zero-Pointers that cause a huge mess but worthless so examinees are told to run.' she's not about to tell the girl the REAL reason what its for...

'I'll ask if he had the brains to run or if idiot decided what he'd usually do.' Izuku groaned, her hand on her temple as if to nurse a headache.

Next was the Pitfall...at least Bakugo can fly...lastly, the Mines!

'I-I think I see what you mean...' Izuku popped a Stresstab Pill. Giant robots, flying over a large pitfall and mines while overstraining his wrists...

'Well, every doctor other than me will say, 'see what I mean?' Recovery Girl shook her head. 'Soon students will come here, think of this as your experience in Internship.'

She wasn't kidding.

Many students came.

From entrance alone, were students trampled from the 'filter' stage and could not come earlier because of Todoroki's ice.

The top 42 however, continue as they are!

'Honestly...pushing and shoving naturally results in a stampede and with one wanting to get ahead no matter the cost and damn other else...I just don't see how those guys can be Heroes if they're willing to stomp on each other to get ahead.' Izuku was frowning when the last person left. 'It seems by Filter Stage alone, Karma came immediately!'

'So true dearie.' Recovery Girl tut-tutted. 'That's also a test of character.'

'Well, mom's probably having a panic attack at Maho-chan's cottage.' Izuku sighed, using Eri's codename for her safety, Maho being 'magical' as her quirk...well... 'Bakugo's mom and her are tight friends so naturally Kacchan and I know each other for years. His mom is stronger in the heart.'

'Inko-san is indeed emotional as I've seen.' Recovery Girl laughed.

Cavalry Battle ensued!

Interesting Teams are formed and by the end of it, Team Todoroki won. After that, an Afternoon Lunch Break.

'Well, let's get some robots to bring us food here dearie.' said Recovery Girl, taking out a laptop. 'What would you like? I already input mine in.' she said, simply clicking on Miso Soup, Stewed Flounder Fillet and tea in Lunch Rush's website for U.A delivery.

'Chirashidon, Miso Soup, Dashimaki Tamagoyaki and large Chocolate Chip Cream Frappuccino.'

'Hai hai.'

Well, a few kids came to see her.

'Yo, Izu.' Bakugo grinned, earning him a bandage whack. It felt like a rubber band shot at his cheek while at the same time feeling slightly better.

Izuku's quirk makes it impossible for her to hurt anyone. Not even capture! When she hid Eri in her bandages, she healed instantly that she has no scars in her arms and legs.

'You owe me Starbucks for giving me a heart attack!' Izuku glowered at Bakugo with a menacing aura the blonde was unfazed with while those behind him sweatdropped. 'Sakura latte with Chiffon cake! EXTRA LARGE!'

'Yeah yeah, just fix my arms already.' Bakugo snorted with an eye roll, doing an arms forward, earning him another healing smack as green-tinged white sparkles appeared as she smacked him while healing his arms.

'You guys are kinda close huh?' Kirishima commented. Among those hurt in the obstacle race is him, Tetsutetsu, Aoyama, Hatsume and Hiryu. Todoroki looks quite pale and shivering!

'We grew up together so his shenanigans are not lost on me and U.A basically gave him free license to drive me up the wall today!' Izuku complained. 'Plus Ultra and all! Next, Todoroki! You're stubbornly using ice even if you're a foot away to the nearest ER when you can be your own kotatsu to fix yourself!' she grumbled as she shot Todoroki with bandages. 'Aoyama-kun, use the clinic toilet before I can fix you last and I recommend a light meal after given your condition. I was allowed to see your medical files.'

'M-merci~' Aoyama who was clutching his stomach, pigeon-toed in pain clumsily walked to the bathroom as he walked a few steps pigeon-toed and hunched over.

'His quirk is too much for him.' Kirishima felt sorry for the blonde. 'Each use is a painful stomachache!'

'Can't tell ya, doc-patient confidentiality.' Izuku tut-tutted with a finger-wag. 'If he trusts his classmates enough, he'll talk.'

'Well, everyone in class is nice so I guess he'll open up at some point...'

xxx

'Kirishima-kun's optimistic, but has a lot to learn about the real world...' Recovery Girl shook her head when the kids bar Aoyama are gone. He's still stuck in the toilet and he won't make it in time to eat something before the next event. So they got him an egg sandwich and juice.

'He must have had a normal kind life if he's so bright.' Izuku snorted as the two doctors had their lunch. 'He'll have to learn Trust is hard to work for, but stupidly-easy to lose.'
