Previously: Korra officially started training with Yue. Yue demonstrated to her the difference between relying on visual memory of where the water is, and actually sensing where it is. She then guided Korra through her first time sensing and Mindbending water. The strain on Korra was great, but they kept practicing step by step, expanding her ability to sense the element, to recognize different water signatures, to scan her surroundings, so when they tried Mindbending afterwards, it was much easier, even if not yet fully controlled or accurate. They also discussed the ecological harm that can be done by bending as an afterthought. That's how they came to speak about Wan and the Lion Turtles and Yue's mind was blown. She made Korra promise to recount their meeting at some point.

Korra also managed Condensation for the first time. Which made Asami realize Waterbenders can alter climate. Yue also introduced Korra to Bloodbending for the first time through the un-painful act of Blood Suspension. It helps keep someone in place without actually hurting them and it's a good way to start learning both Bloodbending and Mind Bloodbending as a form of resistance to the suspension. She guided Korra through learning how the distribution of water in one's blood should feel like normally vs. under the hold of the suspension. When Korra tried to break the hold by Bloodbending for the first time, she fainted. Her body was fighting against something that didn't yet sit well with her. Korra was frustrated and wanted to try again, but after additional failures she accepted that it'll just take time. She needed to become more comfortable with the idea of Bloodbending first. They planned on staying at the temple for a few more days before heading to Republic City and from there start their journey to the south.

And also: Asami may have invented eco-friendly cloud seeding.

Chapter 4

5 weeks later...

"Okay, now make your rainbow, and drop it slowly, one step at a time, very controlled," Yue instructed.

"God, that's hard," Korra tried to breath with every progression.

They were practicing Mindbending precision with the form that started it all.

Korra tried to use Mindbending as much as she could outside of training, unless she felt completely drained. Slowly but surely, she started seeing the results. The headaches came much later in her training each day, they didn't last as long, and weren't as severe. But they came nonetheless. Still, she could feel the major progress and knew it was a matter of time before she won't get them at all for day-to-day bending. She didn't need preparation to tune in and sense the element anymore, nor did she need to close here eyes. Eventually, she knew, she'll have to go bigger, up the level of her training.

They've been on their journey for two weeks. After staying at the temple for another week, they traveled to Republic City where they stayed for additional two weeks. Korra and Asami had a chance to say goodbye to everyone.

And Yue did… whatever it is Yue does, Korra mused, making another step with her rainbow.

They also reunited with Naga who tackled Yue to the ground the first time she saw her.

"She really likes you!" Korra pointed out in excitement. "She's usually friendly, but not that ecstatic on the first meeting."

It's just because she can smell Silo on me, Yue knew, but smiled at the Avatar softly and gave Naga a decent scratch behind the ear, Silo's favorite spot. Naga was enamored immediately.

Korra's entire body was tense. She was getting better and more precise, but the practice of suspending the water mid-air using only Mindbending and making the drop so controlled was taxing. But she pushed through, and little by little the water landed at the spot right in front of her, where she wanted it to.

She took a deep breath and then gave Yue a dazzling smile. "Day 7 in a row! Consistent success! This is no fluke!"

"No, it's not," Yue agreed with a smile of her own. "I'd say you certainly mastered this formation."

"So now what?"

Yue walked over to her bag which was laid next to a sleepy Tui and Naga who were taking a nap, cuddled. They're adorable, she thought as she took out a scroll from her bag.

She showed it to Korra. "We Mindbend every form here until you achieve the same amount of accuracy you have with your rainbows."

Korra grunted. It was necessary work, but if often gotten boring.

"And you keep doing your rainbow. 3 when you wake up, 3 during your lunch break, and 3 before bed."

"Okay," Korra sighed.

Yue was about to say something when Asami approached them.

"We're reaching the site of the first seeding experiment tomorrow!" she announced cheerfully. "I haven't heard from Varrick, so I'm not sure he cleared it with the locals, but I have faith. Sort of."

"You have an interesting relationship," Yue observed. "Isn't he technically your competition? And you left him in charge?"

"Varrick is mostly happy to be a trophy husband these days," Asami explained. "It makes him the perfect partner. He gets excited about my ideas, invest initial money, and stays out of my way."

"I'll totally be your trophy wife down the line," Korra pointed out. "A pretty girl on the arm of the genius, Billionaire, engineer and business woman?" she smiled her girlfriend fondly, as if nothing would make her happier.

"Oh, so you think you're pretty, huh?" Asami teased, grabbing her giggling girlfriend by the waist, bringing her closer. "If anyone is gonna be anyone's trophy, I'd argue it's the Avatar's wife."

"Pretty safe to assume this is a zero trophy situation, and more of a… one, bonafied power couple situation," Yue stated matter-of-factly, earning herself a grin from Korra.

"You know that we're keeping her, right?" Asami pointed at their new friend.

"Um, yeah, I thought we've established that already. She's a great teacher and generally good for morale," Korra provided.

"Stop it," Yue ordered, but a faint blush colored her cheeks.

"You're too easy," Asami laughed.

"Well don't worry, morale will be ruined shortly. We have more precision training to do today," Yue reminded.

"Ugh. You couldn't just take the compliment could you?" Korra pouted.

"You want me to be a great teacher, or do you want me be good for morale? You can't have both today."

Korra stuck her tongue out to express her displeasure.

"Hey, Yue, Korra is helping with the experiment tomorrow. You want in?"

"Be a part of an experiment that could potentially lead to the development of a new, environment-friendly technology? Um, yeah," Yue scoffed, as if her answer should've been obvious.

"Okay, great. Two Waterbenders are better than one," Asami noted, mostly to herself.

"Ouch," Korra protested, but her girlfriend was walking away, distracted, clearly already lost in calculations again.

"Okay, spit it out," Yue demanded.

"What?"

"Something's clearly bothering you."

"It's nothing."

"Korra," Yue warned.

"It's just… it's been 2 weeks and we haven't seen any wounded animals!"

"Um, I thought that'd make you happy? Besides, you haven't exactly mastered Bloodbending."

Korra huffed, mostly because Yue was correct. They attempted Bloodbending a few times, with Korra trying to break out of Yue's suspension. She fainted a couple more times, other times she managed to break the suspension by resisting, and while Yue commended her on her very strong intolerance to the bending, she reminded her gently that this wasn't what they were trying to achieve. It took Korra ten days, but eventually she managed to Mind Bloodbend herself out of suspension, and the sensation of finally bending blood, even though it was her own, had her so shook, that they haven't tried it again for 3 days. The idea of letting her bend someone or something else was obviously out of the question.

"This is exactly my point! At this rate I'll never master it."

"Is this little outburst an excuse to get out of precision training?" Yue inquired.

"Only partially!"

Yue scanned her, considering next steps. She made a decision, stepped towards her napping furry companions again, and came back a moment later with a little bowl in her hand, and a water bottle in the other.

"Sit with me," she asked of her flustered student. She sat herself down, not waiting for Korra to join. She spilled the water into the ball.

"What are you doing?" Korra asked, curios.

"Hey, Babe…" Asami came back, now holding what looked like a weather map. But then she noticed Yue sitting on the ground with a bowl in front of her, she gave her girlfriend a questioning look.

Korra shrugged.

Yue started bending the water into tiny balls. They looked like pearls. She was putting them next to each other, creating a little pile on the ground next to her feet."So many of us treat bending like a tool. But I think we agree now that it's a craft, a form of art."

"Yeah, and? Are we gonna play marbles?"

"No. Sit down, you're hovering and it's annoying," Yue scolded.

Korra obeyed. Asami did, too, experiment forgotten for a moment.

"Is this story time?" Korra questioned. They've learned to recognize when Yue gotten into history class mode. Or any class.

"Yes, it is," she confirmed.

"Okay then, sit back and enjoy," Korra smiled and started bending the water under the surface right below them.

"Ah, yes," Asami hummed, stretching. "The elemental Jacuzzi."

Yue shook her head at the antics, but kept going. "Art can be about passion, bold strokes. But art can also be about precision, your favorite thing," she teased with a smile. "And finesse."

"Like macro and micro," Asami chimed in.

"Right," Yue confirmed.

"And being able to do both is what makes an artist versatile," Korra saw where this was going.

"Exactly. You're the Avatar. That makes you a multidisciplinary artist. Find your micro, change your relationship with your bending. From something useful, to something you love."

"I already love bending," Korra pointed out.

"Yes, but… okay. Let me ask you this. When you were doing Probending, did it feel different than other bending?"

"Oh, I see. The fun of bending. I have that, but maybe in a larger sense," Korra realized. "Bending is amazing, but I always go big."

"Right. Can you make miniscule aspects of bending a hobby? Can you use bending to create? Not just as part of our little art metaphor, but actually create?"

"What do you mean?"

"Say that you learn Earthbending to a micro level, to the point where you can bend a single particle of sand. You can now bend sand, water, and fire," Yue counted on her fingers. "Does that mean that you, completely on your own and without any external help, can create glass?"

"Oh! That would be so cool, Korra!" Asami smiled from ear to ear. "The feeling of making something out of nothing is incredible. And to be able to do that with multiple materials without any outside assistance? No other bender can do that but you!"

"It sounds nice in theory, but, um, I guess I'm just not very creative?" Korra noted sheepishly.

"It can be therapeutic, Korra," Yue pointed out. "It doesn't have to serve a purpose, or even be pretty, but it can be fun. Try it. Make marbles with me."

"Is this supposed to help me with Bloodbending?" Korra scratched her head.

"I just said it's for fun," Yue rolled her eyes. "But, since you asked, your challenge with Bloodbending isn't elemental incompetence, obviously. It's a psychological resistance. I'm hoping that doing some other water-based activities will be meditative. You'll discover new levels of comfort in the element and that will help lift this… writer's block that you're experiencing."

"We're just all about the artistic metaphors I see," Korra smiled. "So how do I go about making these?"

"Just… try to make really small ice balls."

"How very helpful."

But Korra did as she was told. She couldn't make them as small as Yue's, but she kept going.

"I think I'll stay here and work next to you guys," Asami put the pages on the ground and stared at the data. "Miraculously, this is very soothing."

"Yep," Yue agreed. "No one lost their marbles just yet. And let me add something about Mindbending while we're at it. The way I see it Mindbending water is compiled of four factors," Yue explained. "Shaping, precision, amount, and motion. Precision and shaping go together very often. We've done a lot of it recently. You'll find that it improves your precision even with regular bending. Of course, once you get the hang of these marbles with regular bending, I'll ask you to…" she Mindbent a perfect marble and added it to the pile.

"You're so good at this," Korra noted in awe.

"I had years, Korra," Yue reminded. You've achieved a lot in a very short amount of time. Not to mention we're jumping back and forth between so many new concepts. You're remarkable."

"Mm," Asami provided in agreement.

Korra concentrated as hard as she could, and managed to create a tiny looking, spiky square. She grinned and showed it to Yue.

"See? Progress," Yue smiled back at her.

"Wait, you said motion. As one of the factors? I get the amount part. I always knew we're going to lift heavier amounts of water, but motion? What does that look like?

"We'll get there," Yue smirked. "And you're going to like it."

They woke up early the following day, and when Korra saw the excited expression on her girlfriend's face, she didn't even care.

"You wait for us down here, okay girl?" she patted Naga's head. "We'll be back in a few hours and I promise we'll play then, but this one requires air transportation."

Naga hardly gave her a second glance. The only reason she was awake was because of all the commotion. She was very happy to go back to her interrupted slumber.

The trio climbed into Tui's saddle, and Yue took the reins. "Yip yip!" she called, and off they were.

It's been a while since they relied on Tui's flying. Yue took her for short trips once a day, during a break, but that was for fun more than anything else. She didn't want her bison to get bored and sky-sick. The rest of the time they were travelling by foot, and on multiple occasions, they crossed a body of water on the backs of their furry friends.

But now, up in the air after a long hiatus, Korra realized something. "Hey, you never told us how you got Tui. I don't think I've ever seen a bison with a non-Airbender. Not unless it was a temporary arrangement."

Yue smiled. She liked the story, even though she wasn't sure how Korra would react to certain parts of it. "I was in Bhanti Island during birthing season. I came for the hidden library. Have you ever heard about it? It's one of the greatest collections in the physical world of manuscripts on spirits and spirituality."

"I haven't" Korra admitted. "And I've been there before, so it's a shame I didn't know. But that's why I keep an anthropologist around these days," she smiled, even though Yue couldn't see her.

"You've been there before?" Yue looked over her shoulder.

"Yeah. My whole amnesia period? And meeting Wan? I do still owe you that story."

"I'm looking forward to it," Yue smiled. "Anyway, I was there for a few weeks, and when it was finally time to leave, she just followed me and refused to go back. I think it's because I was the first face she ever saw. One of the sages heard that I was a healer and asked me to help delivering the calves. But at the very end of the day, the sage gave me a chance to deliver one calf myself. She said there's nothing quite like that in the world. And that was Tui. It was a long day, and a long and hard birth, and after Tui came out her mother was in distress and was losing a lot of blood, and…"

They could see Yue's body tense suddenly, even though her face was hidden.

"That was the first time you used Bloodbending, wasn't it?" Korra guessed.

Yue turned towards them. "Yeah," she confirmed. "I didn't know what I was doing. I just wanted to help and suddenly I saw with clarity that I could. Instinct kicked in. And Tui was there and watched the whole thing."

"The first face she ever saw was also the face of the person who saved her mother," Asami noted softly.

"Yeah. And Bloodbending didn't come easy after that day," Yue shared. "It was almost like it was the first burst of dormant potential, and then, I don't know, an hibernation period? And the sage saw me do it. I thought I was done for. But she said thank you, kissed me on the forehead, and never spoke of it again. So yeah, when I finally left the island Tui was so young she couldn't even fly yet. Believe me, I tried multiple times to just put her back next to her siblings, but she cried every time I tried to leave."

"It's a really beautiful connection you two have," Asami commented.

"For Airbenders, the relationship with their bison is a lifelong one, based on a deep emotional bond," Korra pointed out. "It sounds to me like that's exactly what you and Tui have."

Yue offered them a grateful smile. She knew it was their way of saying that they didn't judge her use of Bloodbending. That was progress all around.

"She's a very good girl," Yue hummed and leaned forward, spreading her arms to hug Tui's head.

Tui made happy noises at the extra attention, making all passengers giggle.

"We're almost there," Asami announced, looking at the distance with a set of binoculars.

"What exactly are we doing?" Yue inquired, curious.

"Okay, so, rain is caused by the weight of water droplets," Asami explained. "They sort of… merge within the cloud, creating bigger droplets, and eventually, when they're big and heavy enough, they fall."

"So the issue is that sometimes there aren't enough droplets. They stay too light and don't fall," Korra added. Asami explained it to her at length the night before. "You and I can make sure that whatever droplets are there, are merged. It might not be pouring, but it's something. And if we do it to multiple clouds…"

"There will be a decent amount of rain," Yue realized.

"Yep," Asami confirmed. "And since clouds are formed from vapor, hypothetically speaking a team of three benders can create and mobilize clouds. A Waterbender and a Firebender can create the vapor, and an Airbender along with the Waterbender can mobilize artificial clouds to wherever they're needed. Hopefully without causing too much ecological disturbance. But I'll get to that part down the line."

"That's really cool!" Yue smiled. "So you're envisioning what? A whole army of teams of three?"

"Or one Avatar," Korra winked.

"That's the idea," Asami nodded. "Think about it. Let's say I get a government contract with the Earth Kingdom. We do know the king, after all. My company can provide the planes, the data so that we don't exhaust the resources, and we'll be the ones training the Benders. They pay a flat free for all of this and get these services as a package. Farmers manage to grow more, earn more, citizens are happier, and the Earth Kingdom is thriving. Everyone wins."

"She has a whole plan," Korra stated proudly. "We're not even experimenting yet and her business model is basically done."

"It's a very exciting idea," Yue agreed. "Love to see history in the making, and being a part of it. Thanks for including me, guys."

Korra snorted. "You would be all grateful for what is essentially an extracurricular activity."

"Hey now," Asami elbowed Korra. "I thought you liked bring your girlfriend to work day."

"We're sort of always working, so I guess it's always bring your girlfriend to work day," Korra shrugged.

"But when work is so much fun it doesn't feel like work!" Yue protested.

"Nerd," Korra scoffed.

"We're here," Asami noted, looking at a device in her hands.

Yue pulled the reins gently, letting Tui know that they wanted her to stop. She climbed into the saddle to join her two friends.

"Okay, now what?" Korra asked. "Do we… take Tui up into the clouds themselves, or do we do this from here? Because if we do this from here it means you'll have to train your Waterbenders to sense the element. And I mean, while I do know a girl," she gestured at Yue who crossed her arms with a smug smile, "that's definitely something to consider, business model wise."

"You're absolutely right, Babe, but again, I want to see if this even works first. So for now just… do your thing."

"Our… thing?" Korra gave her a questioning look.

"Yeah, the sensing thingy. Whatever it is you do. Can you sense the water in the cloud above us?"

"Of course I can," Korra huffed. Yue nodded as if to indicate that so did she.

"It doesn't feel like droplets," Yue added.

"That's because it's microscopic," Asami explained.

"It feels smaller than the sharp tip of a pin," Korra relayed the information, hoping her girlfriend would find any sort of data useful.

"Right. So can you move them towards each other? Merge them? Not a lot. It doesn't take much for a droplet to be heavy enough," Asami warned.

"I don't know. Are you up for this, Ms. Precision?" Yue quirked an eyebrow.

"Bring it on," Korra challenged.

"Bet you appreciate my marbles now," Yue uttered under her breath.

"Can you guys stop it and be one with your element please?" Asami scolded.

"Yes ma'am," they said in unison.

"Seriously though, Korra, you know how to do this? You want me to talk you through it?" Yue offered. Korra could easily tell by the tone that the offer was genuine and kind.

"Not this time," she gave her teacher a soft smile. "Not because I don't appreciate it. I just want to try it on my own if that's okay?"

"Of course," Yue squeezed her shoulder. "Best practice there is. Okay, let's try this."

"Again," Asami reminded, "it doesn't take a whole lot for these droplets to become heavy enough. Be very methodical and very careful."

They both closed their eyes, choosing ease over challenge, especially with how delicate the bending required was.

Yue worked slightly faster than Korra, used to bending tiny particles. It was also less taxing for her. But she could sense her student's movements within the cloud. Slow, cautious, but precise. The physical toll was greater on Korra, but she kept going. Yue smiled to herself but didn't say anything. She was proud of Korra's progress and efforts, but she knew her student didn't need the superlative at that moment. She just wanted to do a good job.

Their problem wasn't performance. It was coordination. They were working within the same cloud without discussing who's covering which areas. For the most part, it was fine. They could sense the water movements in the cloud. But they weren't prophets, and they couldn't guess each other's next steps, which is how, all at once, multiple droplets collided, leading to a short, yet massive downpour. Unfortunately for them, they were right below the cloud.

They all shrieked in surprise at what felt like a huge bucket full of icy water being flipped over their heads. Tui growled in discomfort.

"What did you do?!" Asami was shivering. "And why is it that every time I hang out with you guys I end up drenched?!" she groaned.

"Not every time," Yue defended quietly. But she still got an annoyed look from Asami. "I'm sorry! Neither of us done this before!"

"Yeah and for the record," Korra gestured at herself, "also drenched." She wiped a wet lock of hair out of her eyes. "I'm really sorry, Baby. We can dry up and try again?"

"Try again? Korra, you made it rain," Asami pointed out. "The experiment was a success. Sort of."

"Huh. I guess we did," Korra grinned. "We made it rain!" she addressed Yue.

"We made it rain!" Yue repeated.

Asami giggled. "Come on, my sweet Waterbenders. You have fought well. And now I'd much rather you don't get pneumonia. Especially if we do another experiment tomorrow."

"Wait, you just said it was a success!" Korra reminded.

"I said sort of. I'm gonna make adjustment to make sure this," she gestured between them, "doesn't happen again. Maybe only one Bender per cloud in the future. I need to think, and I need you to tell me everything you sensed in that cloud. For example - was there anything left in there after this fiasco? We're not trying to harvest water from clouds, we're trying to create rain." And then she turned from them and sat down to write notes, careful not to get them wet.

"Great. I guess we've been dismissed," Korra huffed.

"Well," Yue put her hands on Korra's shoulders, "I for one was very impressed with your precision work."

Yue was sitting by a campfire, placing a pot over the flame to boil water for lunch.

"I can just Firebend it if you want," Korra suggested, coming out of the tent.

"First you heat the water in that pond so we can have a little sauna, now this? You're a one-woman beauty retreat, Avatar."

"That's me. Serve and protect! And by serve I mean serve food," she chuckled and Airbent herself to sit down next to Yue.

"Where's Asami?"

"Still writing notes. Though I think she might radio Varrick at some point." Her girlfriend took a two minutes shower before jumping out of the little pond they found and rushing back into their tent. "Maybe we can spend the night somewhere a little more… populated soon," Korra suggested.

Yue nodded in agreement, knowing that her back would appreciate some love and care, especially since their days were full of training. "There are a couple of villages nearby. I'm sure we can find something."

"Good. I mean, it's nice to see the stars every night, but…"

"Yeah. You know, I can't believe Asami can get that thing to work from anywhere," Yue mentioned in awe, "the radio I mean."

"Yeah she… I dunno, amplified the range somehow? You know. Sexy Asami stuff," Korra shrugged.

"Yeah, that's way out of my field of expertise," Yue admitted.

"Always refreshing when Ms. Know It All doesn't, in fact, know it all," Korra smirked.

"Hey!" Yue protested. "I never claimed I did!" But there was no real bite behind the words.

They fell into comfortable silence, Yue added a few spicing leaves into the pot.

"I've been thinking about what you said earlier," she spoke after a while. "About the sharp tip of a pin?"

"What about it?"

"Let me ask you this. You keep being disappointed that we can't find a wounded animals. But what's gonna happen when you do see one? You're too scared of trying Bloodbending yourself, let alone someone else. But if you try it on me, here, in our safe little bubble, where we can talk this through, by the time you get to an animal, you've already done it on a human being, so the transition to animals will feel easy, and will help you with the suspension as well."

"So let me get this straight," Korra rolled her eyes. "I'm having a hard time Bloodbending myself so now you want me to try it on you? When it's clearly my biggest issue with this? And what does that even have to do with a pin?"

"Naga, come here for a sec," Yue called the polar bear dog who was happy to oblige after not seeing her people for the first half of the day. Yue scratched her behind the ear and said "paw up, girl." She gestured with her own hand to make sure Naga understood. When a clawed paw was lifted over her head, Yue put her index finger up and pricked it on Naga's claw. Naga looked at her in puzzlement, as if she didn't understand what the silly human was trying to accomplish. "That's all girl, thank you." Naga released a confused humpf, but sat herself beside Korra.

Yue presented Korra with her finger, a single red dot visible at the tip. "In lieu of a pin," she explained. "I have one in my bag but I'm really comfy and the bag is all the way over there," Yue pointed at her tent.

"You want me to clot this?" Korra asked, catching up.

"It is the tiniest act of Bloodbending Healing I can think of," Yue explained. "If you want, and only if you want, I can tell you what to do."

Korra swallowed hard. Sometimes perspective and context mattered, and Yue managed to take something monumental and turn it into this tiny moment between them, one that felt safe and almost harmless. She nodded hesitantly. "What would this entail?"

"Okay. So you've been great about sensing the water within the blood. And you even broke free once, which tells me you're getting the hang of water distribution in the blood. Now I'm telling you something else. Treat the blood as its own liquid. That way, when you harden it, rather than creating ice in a person's blood stream, you clot the blood."

"And if I do ice it? And hurt you?"

"It's such a small amount it wouldn't hurt me right away. I'll dissolve it into water and distribute appropriately. But Korra, you're not gonna ice it," Yue said with confidence.

"But…"

"You're going to concentrate, not even on the inside this time around, just on the outside. So even if you ice it it'll only be external. Concentrate on the layer of blood closest to my skin. You'll feel it because there'll be blood, and then a divider, in lack of a better word, and then underneath that divider, more blood. You've done this before, just for different purposes. You do this every time you spot a person's signature. So focus on that layer, and harden it."

"Okay," Korra released a breath. She was scared, but determined.

"You don't have to Mindbend it just yet. Here," Yue held her finger up. "Grab it with one hand, put it right in front of you, and use your other hand to bend."

Korra did as she was told. She tuned everything out except for the water in Yue's body. She zoomed in on Yue's finger, and tried to go beyond the water, feel the blood as its own liquid.

"Can you sense it?"

"Yeah," Korra confirmed and allowed herself a smile.

"Good. Clot it."

"I'm not sure I can," Korra admitted.

"You can," Yue insisted. "I know you can."

Korra inhaled, exhaled, and closed her free fist. When she opened her eyes Yue smiled at her.

"Did I do it?" Korra wondered, but she knew she did, she could sense it.

Yue bent the blood drop that still remained on her finger, and showed Korra a tiny, fresh scab. "You did," she confirmed.

Korra could feel tears coming.

"Oh, oh no," Yue was quick to grab the Avatar's hands in hers. "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have pushed. Are you okay?

"That… didn't feel wrong," Korra confessed.

"Wait, are those… happy tears?"

Korra nodded. "I understood in theory what this power meant but now… it can do a lot of good," she bit her lip. "I can do a lot of good with it."

"That's huge, Korra," Yue's features softened. She knew how much her friend needed this breakthrough.

"I know," Korra smiled and wiped her eyes.

Yue wanted her to get excited about Bloodbending Healing for weeks. Finally, she was getting there.
