Hello and welcome to another chapter of Kingdom Hearts RWBY. Now, let's get to it.
As usual, I own nothing.

(Flashback)
After the fiasco in Traverse Town, Leon encouraged Sora and Sapphire to travel with Donald and Goofy. Sora agreed in the hopes of finding his friends. Sapphire agreed because she wanted to help in any way she could. She was worried about her family, but felt that this was something a huntress- No, what Sapphires mom would do.
Together, the four boarded the Gummiship and began their journey. Easy to say, Sapphire and Sora learned that the universe is a lot bigger than they thought. Though, Sapphire could've done without Sora's driving. Too. Many. Barrel rolls!
The first world the gang visited was Wonderland. It was a strange world with a lot of strange rules. There, the group met Alice. A young girl who was about to be executed by the Queen of Hearts. Her crime? Attempted theft of the queens heart. Knowing the Heartless were behind it, the gang decided to prove Alice's innocence. Only for the girl to be abducted during the confusion. While in Wonderland, Sora locked the Keyhole, which lead to the heart of the world.
The next world the gang visited was Olympus Coliseum. There, they met Phil, trainer of hero's. Cloud Strife, another off worlder and Hades, lord of the underworld. To prove they were true hero's, Sora and Sapphire entered a tournament along with Donald and Goofy. The gang made it to the final round. Their opponent? Cloud. It was a hard fought battle, but Cloud was beaten thanks to the groups teamwork.
However, Hades' guardian Cerberus crashed the tournament. It was then the gang met Hercules, Phil's best student. Hercules managed to wear Cerberus down enough for Sora and the others to take him down. As thanks, Phil made the group "Junior Hero's". After a few words from Cloud, the gang continued their adventure.
The next stop was a world called Deep Jungle. Although, it was an unintentional landing. Sora and Donald had argued on whether or not Sora's friends or King Mickey was there. The fight led to the ship crashing, as well as the group being separated. Sora and Sapphire landed in a tree house, where the leopard known as Sabor was waiting for them. The two were saved by Tarzan. A man raised by gorillas. Despite his inability to speak english, Tarzan proved to be a great friend. Sapphire especially enjoyed tree surfing.
Sora and Sapphire regrouped with Donald and Goofy at the camp of Jane Porter and her assistant Clayton. Unfortunately, Clayton proved to be an enemy as the hunter was bent on hunting the gorillas. Claytons greed ended up drawing the Heartless and the hunter lost his heart after the gang defeated him. In gratitude, the gorillas showed Sora and the others the Keyhole. Which Sapphire locked.
After their adventures, the gang decided to head back to Traverse Town to rest. While there, Leon had asked Sora to deliver a book in the third distract. Seeing that the group was running low on items, Sapphire decided to do some shopping.
"Let's see." Sapphire says while checking a bag. "Five Potions, three Ethers and two Elixirs. That should hold us for a bit."
The one good thing that's happened since Sapphire and the other have been away is that the entrance to the third distract was fixed. Making it easier to get to third distract from the first.
"So, this is called a Keyblade?"
Sapphire looks ahead to see Sora, Donald and Goofy along with a boy with silver hair and green eyes. Another thing was that he was holding Sora's Keyblade.
"Hey, give it back." Sora says.
Sora goes to get his Keyblade back. Only for the silver haired boy to jump back. Making Sora land on the ground face first. Seeing this, Sapphire assumes the worst.
"Hey! Leave him alone!" Sapphire says as she rushes to Sora's side.
The silver haired boy is surprised to see Sapphire. But before he could say anything...
"That doesn't belong to you." Sapphire says as she points at Sora's Keyblade. She then summons her own and glares at the boy. "Give it back!"
"Wait Sapph!" Sora says as he gets off the ground. "This is Riku. He's my friend."
Sapphire looks at Sora. "You mean the same Riku you've been looking for?" At Sora's nod, Sapphire quickly desummons her Keyblade before rapidly bowing at Riku. "I'msorry! I'msorry! I'msorry! I'msorry!"
"Uh..." Riku says in confusion. "You know her Sora?"
"Yeah." Sora says. "This is Sapphire. She's from another world too."
"Really?" Riku says while unconsciously scratching his arm.
Goofy then puts his hands on Sapphires shoulders. "Sapph's been a big help."
Sapphire looks at the ground in embarrassment.
"Yeah. And she's got a Keyblade like me too." Sora says. "You should she her fight Riku. She might be better than you."
"I-I-I wouldn't go THAT far!" Sapphire says as she frantically waves her hands.
"What are you talking about?" Sora asked. "If learning how to use a giant scythe doesn't say how good you are, then I don't know what is."
"Sora! You embarrassing me!" Sapphire says.
Unknown to Sora and the others, Riku looks at Sora interacting with Sapphire with a small scowl. He then quickly gets rid of it.
"Sora." Riku says.
"Huh?" Sora says.
"Catch!" Riku says as he tosses the Keyblade to Sora.
Sora catches the weapon before desummoning it. "Okay, so, you're coming with us, right? We've got this awesome rocket. Wait 'til you see it!"
"No, he can't come!" Donald says.
"What?" Sora asked incredulously.
"Forget it!" Donald says.
"Oh, come on! He's my friend!" Sora says.
"I don't care!" Donald says. "Besides, we already have Sapphire with us. We don't have room for him."
"Uh guys..." Sapphire says as she tries to calm the boys down.
"He's gone." Goofy says.
Sora, Donald and Sapphire look to see Riku has in fact vanished.
"Riku?" Sora says as he looks around. Seeing that his friend has disappeared, Sora shoots a pointed look at Donlad. "Nice going." Donald ignores Sora's looks and simply taps his feet. "Oh well. At least he's okay. And who knows? Maybe we'll run into Kairi soon too."
Sapphire puts a hand on Sora's shoulder. "I'm sure we will."
Sora smiles at Sapphire who returns the gesture.
Moments later, the gang reconvenes at Leon's house. Where him, Cid and Aerith begin to tell the young adventures about the witch known as Maleficent. Unknowing that very same witch was watching them from outside. Along with Riku.
"You see? It's just as I told you." Maleficent says. "While you toiled away trying to find your dear friend, he quite simply replaced you with some new companions." Riku watches Sora talk to Sapphire with a scowl on his face. Maleficent sees Riku's dark look while hiding a smirk.
Maleficent then looks back at Sapphire before wincing. The witch then sees a bright light shining from Sapphire. "The girls light is too intense. Even for me. She's not one of the princesses. Yet her heart shines like theirs. Perhaps even brighter. Though...it feels dormant for some reason."
Maleficent turns her attention back to Riku. "Why, he's even replaced the girl you both care for. Evidently, now he values them far more than he does you or her." Riku scratches his arm before gripping it. "You're better off without that wretched boy. Now, think no more of him and come with me. I'll help you find what you are searching for..."
Inside Leon's house, Sapphire feels as though someone is watching her. She looks out the window... and sees nothing. But she can't get rid of the feeling that someone was there. Someone bad.
(Flashback ends)
It's initiation day at Beacon Academy. Many aspiring huntsman and huntresses were hard at work to gain entrance into Beacon. Their task is to brave the Emerald Forest, retrieve a relic and make it back to Beacon. Besides the Grimm, the initiation should be simple for most. However, a new element came into play. One that shouldn't be in the Emerald Forest or even ON Remnant.
The Heartless. The dark creatures had somehow appeared on Remnant. And no one was prepared for this threat. Luckily, Remnant's Keybalde wielders were on the case. While cutting them down, Sapphire saw some familiar Heartless among the Shadows and Neoshadows. Powerwilds, Creeper Plants and even some Green Requiems. Even so, for Sapphire and Rhexia, they had no problems dispatching them.
After slaying the last group of Heartless, Sapphire and Rhexia place their Keyblades back on their belts.
"Phew. That was the last one." Rhexia says.
"This is bad." Sapphire says as she paces around. "Why are the Heartless here?"
Rhexia folds her arms as she thinks. "Well, Remnant IS close to the darkness. Maybe it just took them a while to get here. Or it could be our Keyblades."
Sapphire stops pacing and throws her hands into the air in frustration. "Great. And I thought all we had to worry about were the Grimm."
Rhexia then gasps. "Sapph, the other students!"
Sapphire gasps in realization. "Ruby! Yang!" Sapphie then speeds off via her Semblance.
"H-hey! Wait up!" Rhexia says before taking off as well.
Back at Beacon Cliff, Ozpin and Glynda were watching the Beacon hopefuls initiation from their scrolls. So far, four students have cleared the exam. The students had followed their professors instructions and paired up before heading to the Forest Temple. The pairings were as followed:
Ruby Rose & Weiss Schnee
Yang Xiao-Long & Blake Belladonna
Jaune Arc & Pyrrha Nikos
Lie Ren & Nora Valkyrie
But the last pairing brought some disturbing news in the form of strange creatures appearing in the forest. Sapphire Rose and Rhexia Xiao-Long had encountered strange creatures unlike any Grimm recorded in Remnants history.
"Ozpin-" Glynda says.
"I'm aware, Glynda." Ozpin calmly interrupts as he continues to look at his scroll.
"I've never seen Grimm like those before." Glynda says. "Though, I'm not sure if they WERE Grimm."
"That's because they aren't." Ozpin says.
"Hm?" Gynda says as she turns to Ozpin with a raised eyebrow. "What do you-"
"Once the initiation is over, I shall explain." Ozpin interrupts. "Just know that this is part of the reason why I allowed Ms. Sapphire and Ms. Rhexia admittance into the academy."
Glynda stares at Ozpin. For as long as she's known him, there have always been weird moments that didn't make much sense. But Glynda's also learned that there's always a method to the madness. It is because of this fact that she's always been able to put her trust in Ozpin. After all, he was the one who showed Glynda the truth of the world. ...And who it's enemy is.
Glynda sighs before nodding in acceptance. She then turns her attention to her scroll. Unknowing that Ozpin was paying close attention to the creatures Sapphire and Rhexia faced.
"With the Heartless here, things have taken a turn." Ozpin thinks. "I can only hope that Ms. Sapphire and Ms. Rhexia are up to the task."
The day had really gone by fast for the Beacon hopefuls. A lot had happen since they entered the Emerald Forest. The new students had made their way to the temple. Sure there were a few bumps along the way, but they still managed to grab their relics. Though, their current problem was...concerning. On the way to the temple, Ruby and Weiss had managed to lead a Nevermore right to the other students. And if that wasn't enough, Jaune and Pyrrha lead a Death Stalker their way as well.
After running deeper into the ruins, Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang were engaging the Nevermore while Jaune and the others were busy dealing with the Death Stalker.
"It's tougher than it looks!" Blake says.
Yang readies her Ember Celica. "Then let's hit it with everything we got!"
The Nevermore approaching, Ruby, Blake, Weiss and Yang set their weapons to fire a barrage of blasts at the bird, which it either dodges or takes harmlessly until it crashes through the columns and platform. The girls leap from one section of falling stone to the next until they reach the higher bridge on top, just below the cliffs.
"None of this is working!" Weiss says with frustration.
Ruby observes Blake whipping over to another section of the area and Yang firing round after flaming round at the Grimm. "I have a plan! Cover me!" Ruby then blasts away as Weiss raises her blade and heads into the fray.
Down below, the Death Stalker is still battling Jaune, Ren, Nora and Pyrrha.
"We gotta move!" Jaune says as he and the others rush towards the Grimm.
The Death Stalker aims a claw at Pyrrha, but she deflects it with her AkoĂșo shield and slashes it with her blade. The scorpion recoils and swipes at her with its other claw, but Jaune is there to deflect it with his shield, knocking it back so Pyrrha can leap over and attack its face. Ren runs up firing and gets on the stinger when it tries to hit him, shooting at the base between it and the tail while Nora fires more grenades at the attacking claws. Pyrrha hurls her javelin straight into one of the monster's ten eyes, making it throw Ren to the side.
"Ren!" Nora exclaims with worry.
Ren hits the side of a stone block hard and falls to the ground, not getting back up. Jaune however, manages to stand and notice the stinger is hanging limply.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune says.
Pyrrha follows Jaune's gaze and immediately understands his plan. "Done!" Pyrrha raises her shield and hurls it like a discus, slicing the stinger off and causing it to fall into the Death Stalker's head as Pyrrha retrieves her rebounding shield.
"Nora, nail it!" Jaune says.
"Heads up!" Nora says. She then jumps on Pyrrha's shield as she leaps. Nora aims her blast down to give herself a maximum lift and smiles the entire way up before twirling down until her hammer slams its head into the stinger. Driving the point through the Death Stalker's head and crushing the bridge beneath it.
Jaune and Pyrrha bound over the monster to the land behind it and Nora fires up and away behind them as the monster falls to its doom. Jaune hits the ground on his back, Nora lands on her bottom, Pyrrha manages a crouched pose and Ren simply walks over to them. Panting and groaning until he just collapses. The others get up and watch as the Nevermore is peppered with firepower.
Yang burns through her ammo on the beast. Landing a blow at its face and causing it to head right towards her. However, Yang leaps for it's open maw and forces the beak wide as she attacks.
"I! Hope! You're! Hung-! ...-gry!" Yang screams as she fires a round with each syllable. She then looks behind her and jumps back from the Grimms mouth and lands onto a ruin. Causing the creature to crash into the cliffs.
Despite Yang's attempts, the Nevermore recovers quickly. Yang though, smiles as she spots Ruby and Blake on the broken columns with Weiss rushing to the battle. Yang passes her while the Nevermore starts to fly back up, but Weiss hops over to the ruin it's lifting off of and freezes the tip of its feathery tail to the ground. Leaving it stuck in the same spot despite its flapping. Weiss backflips into a snowflake-circle, jumps and lands on the other side while running to the group.
Blake fires the pistol portion of Gambol Shroud over to Yang and the two tighten it between the columns so Ruby can jump on the center with Crescent Rose and bend it back into Weiss' black sigil right next to the caster.
"Of course you would come up with this idea." Weiss says.
"Think you can make the shot?" Ruby asks.
"Hmm! Can I!" Weiss says with confidence.
Ruby however is lost on Weiss' attitude. "Can't?"
"Of course I can!" Weiss snaps.
Ruby looks forward and pumps Crescent Rose as Weiss turns the circle from black to red and releases Ruby at such a speed that the ground behind her launch cracks with rose petals flying from her ascent. With each new shot, she gets closer and closer to the trapped Grimm until her scythe catches the Nevermore's neck in its blade and causes them both to fall to the cliff wall. Weiss raises her sword and creates a series of white circles up the wall which Ruby dashes through by firing the entire way up.
Yang, Blake and an exhausted Weiss watch the red hooded girl climb up with the bird in her grasp. With both the warrior and monster crying out, Ruby reaches the top of the cliff, circles up, fires one last shot and severs the Nevermore's head from its shoulders in a shower of petals.
Ruby lands beside the severed head as the body of the giant Nevermore falls lifeless to the ruins and crevice below while the girls and farther away, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren watch in amazement.
Ruby's cape and rose petals flow with the wind as the girl looks down to her friends as they peer up.
"Well... That was a thing!" Yang says after a pause.
Ruby makes her way back to the group by using the recoil of Crescent Rose and her Semblance. Before Yang can embrace her sister, Blake senses something moving towards the sisters. Trusting her instincts, she shifts her weapon into it's pistol form.
"Look out!" Blake exclaims as she fires her gun.
A few bullets hit there mark as the seem to impact something. On impact, there was a strange sound. The students then notice the air seems to shift next to Ruby and Yang. Suddenly a strange creature appears next to the sisters. In shock and fright, the two girls jump away from the creature.
What faced the students is a bipedal lizard. It's upper body is light green and is covered in intricate black markings with five short spikes along its back. It's hands and feet have four toes each with two in front and two in back and black claws. It's prehensile tail is curled up behind it in a spiral. It has a mouth lined by short pointed teeth, a pink tongue and large yellow and orange eyes with small black pupils. It also has a large, white horn on the tip of its snout and a tan underbelly.
"What the heck is that?!" Jaune screams. "A giant chameleon?"
"I've never seen anything like it." Pyrrha says.
While Ruby and Yang were surprised at the creatures sudden appears, they take the time to really look at it. That's when the see it. A strange emblem on the creatures body. A heart with a fleur-de-lis at the bottom and a spiky "X" crossing through the center.
"R-Ruby." Yang stutters in worry. "On it's chest."
"...A Heartless." Ruby whispers.
The night Sapphire and Rhexia came home, Ruby and Yang had asked what the Heartless were. Sapphire had responded by bringing out a large book. After turning a few pages, two images appeared above the book. Both images were Heartless, but they differed in appearance. One was completely black while the other had a variety of colors and an emblem at it's center. Sapphire had told them that the Heartless come in all shapes and sizes, but there was one thing that they all had in common. The Heartless are attracted to the darkness of of the heart.
The one in front of the two sisters is a Stealth Sneak.
"What's a Heartless doing here?" Yang asks.
"A what?" Weiss asks. "You know what that thing is?"
"This isn't good." Pyrrha says. "We're all exhausted from our fights earlier."
"And our Aura is nearly depleted." Ren adds.
"What do we do?" Jaune says as the group inches back.
Unfortunately, Blake's senses flare up again as she shoots behind the group. Just like before, a strange sound is heard before the air shifts. Revealing a creature similar to the one in front of the students.
This one however has a dark steel blue body with five short spikes along it's back. Its entire upper body is covered in stripes of various shades of black and grey. Reminiscent of camouflage clothing.
This is the Heartless known as Sneak Army.
"Another one?!" Weiss shrieks.
The two Heartless inch closer and closer towards the group. The Stealth Sneak pauses however and seems to focus solely on Ruby. Just before the Heartless can attack, it is struck by a blue blur. Forcing the creature back. The blur is revealed to be Sapphire with her Keyblade drawn.
"Sapph!" Ruby and Yang exclaim.
Sapphire says nothing as she focuses on the Stealth Sneak. At that same time, a crimson blur strikes the Sneak Army. Forcing the creature back as the blur reveals itself to be Rhexia with her Keyblade drawn.
"Rhexia?" Blake says in confusion.
"Rhexia, I'll take the green one." Sapphire says. "The blue one is all yours."
"Got it." Rhexia says as she settles into her stance.
"Ruby. Yang." Sapphire says. "You and the others head to the cliffs."
"But-" Ruby says.
"Go!" Sapphire says sternly as she looks back at her sisters.
"Ruby." Yang says. Ruby turns to her sister as Yang continues. "As much as I hate to say this, Sapph's right. None of us are in any condition to fight these things. Let's just trust them."
Ruby looks at Yang before looking back at Sapphire. Ruby's eyes then narrow as she nods.
"Kick their butts sis!" Ruby says.
Sapphire and Rhexia look back and give Ruby a smile with a nod. The Heartless, tired of being ignored, attack the group of students. Only to be blocked by the two Keyblade wielders. Ruby and the others then take the opportunity to move to a nearby cliff to watch the action unfold.
"Are you sure your sister can handle this?" Jaune asks as he turns to Ruby.
Ruby smiles back before turning her attention back to Sapphire and Rhexia. "Just watch."
Jaune, Nora, Ren and Yang turn their attention to the blue and red duo. Blake, Weiss and Pyrrha however look at the two intently. As if they were expecting something amazing to happen.
Sapphire and Rhexia stand back to back as they prepare to take on the Heartless. A barrier then traps the two wielders.
{Play Kingdom Hearts Battle theme - Squirming Evil}
The two Heartless waste no time as they suddenly go into camo mode.
"Hit them while they're still in front of us!" Sapphire says.
Sapphire and Rhexia charge forward and attack relentlessly. Knowing that their enemies where still in front of them, the two wielders wasted no time in hitting the Heartless hard and fast. After the barrage of attacks, the two Heartless became visible.
The hands of the two chameleon Heartless begin to glow. They then clap their hands while shooting an energy blast at the two wielders. Sapphire and Rhexia jump forward while using the Heartless as a stepping stone to get behind them. The two wielders then unleash a few powerful strikes at the two Heartless. They have to cut their assaults short as their enemies kick their back legs out. The two wielders hold their Keyblades in defense as they block the attack.
After recovering from the Heartless' attack, Sapphire coated her Keyblade in flames, while Rhexia coated her's in electricity. The two then hurl their Keyblades at their respective enemies. The blades hit their marks and continue forward. Sapphire catches Rhexia's Keyblade, while Rhexia catches her other halfs Keyblade. The two wielders then hurl the blades at the Heartless again while catching their respective blades before repeating the action several more times.
When the tag team assault ended, the two Sneak Heartless were dazed. Seeing the opportunity, Sapphire crouches down.
"Rhexia!" Sapphire exclaims as she uses her Semblance to rocket forward.
"Got it!" Rhexia says as she copies the same action as her other.
The two wielders spin while charging forward. Cloaking themselves in their capes. Sapphire and Rhexia pass by the Heartless while slashing them. The two Keyblade wielders land on opposite sides with their blades outstretched. A few seconds pass before the two Heartless give a growl of defeat. They then fall of the bridge they were standing. As the Heartless fall, they release a large glowing heart that vanishes shortly after. The Heartless then disappear while falling.
{End OST}
The barrier shuts down as Sapphire and Rhexia place their Keyblades back on their belts. The two then walk towards each other before high-fiving one another.
"Nice work, partner." Sapphire says with a smile.
"Right back at ya." Rhexia says with a grin.
A truly happy moment. Until Sapphire was tackled by a red blur.
"THAT WAS AWESOME!" Ruby exclaims.
"Nice job you two." Yang says as she and the other students make their way to the two wielders.
Weiss looks at Sapphire and Rhexia with narrowed eyes. She then takes a glance at their Keyblades. "I've never seen weapons like those before. Where did you get them?"
"We made them." Sapphire says.
"Well, now that that's over, let's head back." Rhexia says. She then pulls out a white queen chess piece. "One last thing to do."
With all the excitement done, the students make their way back to Beacon. Weiss however was staring at Sapphire and Rhexia's backs as the entire time. Thinking that the two sisters skills were somewhat...unusual.
As the students make their way back to the academy, they are unaware that they were being watched. On the cliff where the remains of the Nevermore's head was dissipating stood a fair and green skinned woman with yellow eyes that are heavily shadowed with violet make-up and painted red lips. She wears a black-horned headdress and a long tattered black robe with a purple trim and maroon flare edges. She also has fin-like spikes on the sides of her neck. The spikes along with the collar of her robe create an upside-down pentagram. She carries a staff with a glowing green orb at the tip and wears a golden ring with a circular black stone in it.
This woman- No, witch is Maleficent. A villainess that Sapphire and Sora have dealt with in their adventures.
With Maleficent is a portly black furred anthropomorphized cat.
He wears what seems to be armor colored in shades of blue and purple overtop a red short-sleeved shirt with a vertical pink stripe descending from the neck. He wears navy blue and white sneakers with light blue fronts and two periwinkle straps keeping each one secure. His pants are also navy blue, with light blue lining, purple lower legs, and two enormous pouches on either front side. These pouches are attached to his pants by four pins, both sporting a silver, horizontal zipper. The most distinguishing feature of these pants is the comically large zipper going down the front and reaching around to the backside of the pants.
He wears two navy blue pauldrons, each sporting two cyan bumps and a periwinkle area near on the lower section on each shoulder. Two gold buttons at the top of his pants connected to two blue suspenders that intersect over his chest before connecting to two similar, albeit smaller buttons on his shoulder pauldrons. He also wears a pair of fingerless gauntlets. The wrists of these gauntlets are light blue with a pale yellow semi-circle on top, while the gloves are periwinkle with a bump on each knuckle. There is a dark blue-green design on the back of each glove, descending from each knuckle to the end of the glove.
This cat is Pete. Maleficent's sidekick and known trouble maker.
"Looks like the pip-squeak's still as annoying as ever." Pete says with a scoff.
"Indeed." Maleficent says. "She's proven time and time again to be a constant annoyance."
"By the way, why did you decided to come to the kids world anyway?" Pete asks.
Maleficent looks to the Nevermore's head before it completely turns to ashes. Said ashes then scatter to the winds.
"This world is close to the darkness." Maleficent says. She then looks towards Beacon Academy in the distance. "And I sense something...powerful in that castle." Maleficent then smiles maliciously. "It would seem the girl's world has much to be desired."
Maleficent turns around and walks away. Pete follows her as the two vanish in a Corridor of Darkness.
After making it back to Beacon, the students spent a few moments recovering from their trail before heading to the amphitheatre for team announcements. Four boys were currently on stage with Ozpin.
"Russel Thrush. Cardin Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark." Ozpin says as the screen of the auditorium shows each of their profiles as the boys are lined up for the applauding audience to see. "The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by... Cardin Winchester!"
The audience gives one more wave of ovation, while Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren walk up to the stage to take their places in front of the headmaster as their faces fill the screen.
"Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie." Ozpin says. "The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR." Amid the clapping, Nora laughs and gives Ren a hug. "Led by... Jaune Arc!"
"Huh? L-lead by?" Jaune asks in shock.
"Congratulations, young man." Ozpin says with a faint smile.
A grinning Pyrrha offers a friendly shoulder bump to Jaune, but her "fine leader" is knocked over and falls to his butt in front of the laughing audience. Ozpin then motions over Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang.
"Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long." Ozpin says. "The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by... Ruby Rose!"
Weiss looks to her right surprised, where Ruby is obviously in shock as Yang goes over to hug her sister.
"I'm so proud of you!" Yang says.
Among all of the cheers, Sapphire and Rhexia's were the loudest. Said duo was then called to the stage.
"And finally, Sapphire Rose and Rhexia Xiao-Long." Ozpin says. "You two have retrieved the white queen piece.. From this day forward, you two will work together...as co-combat assistants to our combat instructor, Glynda Goodwitch."
"WHAT?!" Sapphire and Rhexia exclaim in shock.
"WHAT?!" Exclaims the newly minted teams.
"The skills the two of you displayed in the initiation were extraordinary." Ozpin says. "And seeing that you two were the odd ones out in forming teams, it would be a shame not to allow you entry into the academy." Ozpin then gives a faint smile. "So, this seemed like the best course of action."
Sapphire stares at Ozpin, who responds with a knowing look. It was then that she understood.
Ozpin knew who Sapphire and Rhexia really are. Before Sapphire can question the headmaster, she is tackled to the ground by Ruby and Yang.
"That's amazing sis!" Ruby says.
Yang then pulls Rhexia into the families group hug. "Guess we'll have to start calling you two "professors" now."
Ozpin looks at the scene in front of him. "It looks like things are shaping up to be an... interesting year."
After the entrance ceremony, Sapphire and Rhexia made a beeline to the headmasters office. After explaining things to Rhexia, Sapphire knew it was better to confront Ozpin now rather than later. Which brings them to the headmasters office. Where Ozpin and strangely Glynda were waiting for them.
"Ah. Ms. Sapphire. Ms. Rhexia." Ozpin says as he sits down behind his desk. "We've been expecting you."
Sapphires eyes narrow as her serious side takes over. "You know."
Ozpin gives a slight nod as he laces his fingers. He then gestures to the two seats in front of him. "Please, sit. We have much to discuss...Key Bearers."
{Play Dive into the Heart - KH3 Version}
Sinking. That's the best way to describe how she felt. Shortly after the entrance ceremony, Ruby and her new team went to their dorm room. Ruby had suddenly felt very sleepy and went to bed shortly after putting on her pajamas. Only for her to feel like she was sinking into an endless abyss.
As Ruby continued to fall, the girl opened her eyes before landing on an invisible surface. She looks around, only seeing the same black void and that she was somehow back in her combat gear. Ruby then takes a step forward when suddenly she is met with a blinding light. As she shields her eyes, a flock of doves that seemed to appear from the floor fly away. The red claded girl looks down to see she is standing on a glass surface.
The surface was primarily red with Ruby's rose emblem decorating it. There was also an image of her sleeping and eight small circles at the top. Each with a different image. Six of the circles had the images of Yang, Sapphire, Taiyang, Rhexia, Weiss and Blake. The last two had a man with slicked back black hair and red eyes. Qrow Branwen. Ruby, Yang and Sapphires uncle. The last picture...was a woman who looked much like Ruby. Only she had longer hair. Summer Rose. Ruby and Sapphires mother. However, Summers picture was mostly shrouded in darkness.
"Where...am I?" Ruby says as she looks around.
Before Ruby can question her current setting more, three bright lights appear before her. Out of the lights comes three objects. A sword, a staff and a shield. As Ruby looks at the weapons, she gasps in realization.
"Wait. Sapph told me about this." Ruby says. "This is...my heart. Which means..." Ruby places a hand to her chest. Where her heart is. Her eyes then sparkle with excitement. "I'm having my dive!"
Ruby then clams herself before looking at the three weapons again. "Okay. Sapph said that these weapons represent what form I want my power to take." Ruby looks at the sword. "The power of the warrior." She then looks to the staff. "The power of the mystic." Ruby then looks at the shield. "And the power of the guardian." Ruby then huffs as she pouts a little. "What? No scythe?"
Ruby shakes her head before walking to the sword. She then picks it up. The weapon then disappears from her hands. Ruby looks around in confusion before tapping herself on the head.
"Right." Ruby says. "I have to give something up." Ruby looks at the other two weapons before walking towards the staff. She then picks it up. The weapon then disappears like the first.
Suddenly the glass surface begins to deteriorate from the outside and was working it's way inside. Ruby could do nothing but panic as the she losses her footing and falls. She continues to fall for several minutes before landing on another glass floor. Much like the first.
Ruby looks around before seeing a bright light appearing in front of her. The light fades to reveal a lone ornate door. With nothing else to do, Ruby approaches the door, grabs the handles and opens it. Resulting in a blinding light shining from the inside. The red claded girl narrows her eyes before walking inside the light.
Ruby had no idea where the light would take her. But she wasn't expecting to end up...
"I'm...home?" Ruby asks with confusion.
Sure enough, Ruby seemed to have ended up back on Patch. She is taken from her musings however as she looks to see Yang, Tai, Sapphire and Qrow standing in front of her house. Tai was setting on the porch, Qrow was leaning up against the house with his arms crossed, Yang was leaning on her prized motorcycle and Sapphire was directly in front of Ruby.
Ruby crosses her arms in thought. "This is... I'm suppose to answer questions, right?"
With Sapphire being right in front of her, Ruby decides to talk to her first.
"Sapph?" Ruby asks.
"What are you so afraid of?" Sapphire replies.
Taken by surprise at the sudden question, Ruby takes a step back before closing her eyes in thought. After a moment, she opens her eyes.
"Losing what's important to me." Ruby says.
Sapphire gives a small smile before vanishing. Ruby is shocked to see her sister disappear, but quickly remembers that it wasn't the real Sapphire. Only an illusion her heart created. With that in mind, Ruby then walks towards Yang.
"Yang?" Ruby asks.
"What do you want out of life?" Yang asks.
"To be a Huntress mom would be proud of." Ruby says instantly.
Much like Sapphire, Yang vanishes with a smile. Ruby looks at the spot where Yang disappeared for a moment before walking to Qrow.
"Uncle Qrow?" Ruby asks.
"What's most important to you?" Qrow asks.
Ruby smiles at the question. "My family."
Qrow grins before vanishing. Ruby then walks to Tai.
"Dad?" Ruby asks.
"What word describes you the most?" Taiyang asks.
Ruby is surprised at her dads question. Something she's never thought of. Ruby crosses her arms and closes her eyes in thought. After a few moments, she opens her eyes.
"...Innocent." Ruby says.
Taiyang gives his daughter a small smile before vanishing.
"That one took some thought." Ruby says. She then looks around to see that the current scenery hasn't changed. She then suddenly sees something white out the corner of her eye. She quickly turns to see a figure in white disappearing into the forests. Ruby then gasps as her eyes widen.
"It... W-was that?" Ruby asks.
Ruby then takes off in the direction the figure left in. She then comes to a familiar cliff. One with a gravestone at it's center. The white figure Ruby saw earlier was standing right in front of the gravestone. Looking at the person in front of her, Ruby knew it was a female. But what the woman was wearing was what stuck out for Ruby. A white hooded cape. Much like her red one.
Ruby reaches out for the woman.
"M... Mom?" Ruby asks hopefully.
The woman reaches for her hood and brings it down. ...Revealing that the woman is indeed Summer. The sight of her mother brings Ruby to tears as she takes a few steps forward.
"Mom." Ruby says tearfully.
"Ruby, what do you wish for?" Summer asks.
"I- I-I want...!" Ruby says as she reaches for her mother. She then stops and brings her hand back to her heart as she looks down. Knowing that the person in front of her...isn't real. After a few moments, Ruby looks at the phantom of her mother with a tearful smile. "To protect the people I love."
Summer smiles at Ruby as the surrounding area begins to vanish. Ruby looks around before looking back at her mom. Who had moved right in front of her. Ruby looks as her mom points to Ruby's chest. Right where her heart is. Ruby looks back at her mom with a smile as Summer vanishes. With a smile and a tear rolling down her face. A blinding light then engulfs the area.
Ruby opens her eyes to find that she's back on another glass platform. She walks to the edge of the platform when suddenly a glass step appears in front of her. As Ruby steps on it, a pathway of stained glass begins to form and continues into the darkness.
"Guess there's nowhere to go but up." Ruby says.
Ruby travels upward on the glass steps. Seeming to never end. The end of the path does come after a few minutes of walking. Unlike the other glass platforms Ruby has seen, this particular one is different.
Instead of Ruby's image on the platform, it was Sapphires. The surface was primarily blue and had her twins blue rose emblem decorating it. At the top of her sisters image were eight small circles. Inside the circles were the images of Ruby, Yang, Taiyang, Qrow and Summer. Just like Ruby's image of Summer, Sapphires was shrouded in darkness. The last three circles had an anthropomorphic dog, a anthropomorphic duck and an clouded image of a young boy Ruby didn't know.
As Ruby looks at the platform, she notices something behind her. She looks to see her shadow was so long that it extended to the end of the platform. However, what took Ruby by surprise was that her shadow was rising from the floor! Growing larger and becoming twisting into a new shape. Ruby could only watch in horror as the giant shadow becomes a deathly pale white woman with hair the same color as her skin, red eyes and black sclera and wearing a long pitch black gown. Ruby is frozen in terror as the demonic woman roars before rushing towards her. Ruby let's out a blood-curdling scream.

"..by!"
"R..by!"
"RUBY! Wake up!"
"AAAAAAAAH!" Ruby screams as she sits up with a jolt. Scaring the people around her. She then feels a hand on her shoulder.
"Ruby! It's okay!" Yang says.
Ruby breaths erratically as she starts to calm down. She then looks around frantically before seeing Yang looking at her in worry, Blake looking at her with concern and Weiss looking at her with a mixture of concern and irritation. Probably because her teammates screaming woke her up.
"Are you okay?" Yang asks as she hugs her younger sister.
"Y-yeah." Ruby says as she takes a few deep breaths. She then gives Yang a small smile in gratitude. "Thanks sis."
"That must've been some nightmare you had." Yang says as she let's go of Ruby.
"...A nightmare." Ruby says in a whisper. "Right."
"I'll say." Weiss says. "Your screaming woke me up."
Ruby lowers her head. "I'm sorry."
"Are you gonna be okay?" Blake asks.
"Y-yeah!" Ruby says as she sheepishly rubs the back of her head. "Last time I drink soda before bed."
"What was it about?" Blake asks. "It had to have been something terrible for you to scream like that."
Ruby takes a moment to think over what had happened to her. An image of that demonic woman flashes in her mind.
"...I don't remember." Ruby says after a pause.
Yang, Blake and Weiss take glances at one another before Weiss shakes her head.
"Well, we'd better get ready." Weiss says as she walks to the bathroom. "Classes begin at nine and I refuse to be late on the first day." Weiss then enters the bathroom.
Ruby around to see Yang and Blake already dressed in their school uniforms. She then picks up her scroll to see that the time is 7:55 AM.
"I barely even remember going to bed last night." Ruby says.
"Yeah, you just conked out the second you got in the bed." Yang says. "Then Weiss woke us up saying that you were screaming in your sleep. We tried waking you, but you wouldn't budge."
"Really?" Ruby asks.
Yang simply nods back.
"I'd better tell team JNPR your okay." Blake says. "They could hear you screaming across the hall."
Ruby's face turns red from embarrassment. Blake then walks to the door.
"You sure your okay?" Yang asks.
"Yeah." Ruby says. She then glances at Blake opening the door. Thinking that her teammate was out of earshot, Ruby turns to her sister.
"Yang?" Ruby says with a whisper.
"Yeah?" Yang answers quietly.
"I...think I just had my dive." Ruby says.
"What?!" Yang softly exclaims.
Unknown to the two sisters, Blake's bow twitched as she glances back at her leader with a raised eyebrow.
And done! Another chapter down. So, what did you think? Honestly, I feel I could've done this chapter better. But I was in a rush trying to get this one done. So to recap, the Heartless are now on Remnant. Thanks to Maleficent who has set her sights on Beacon Academy. Sapphire and Rhexia take down a Stealth Sneak and Sneak Army. During the entrance ceremony, the two Keyblade wielders are named assistant teachers to Glynda thanks to Ozpin. Who knows about the Keyblade and Heartless. Then we have Ruby going through her dive into the heart with Blake listening as Ruby and Yang talk. Again, special shout out to TPyont for letting me use some of scenes from their KH x RWBY fic.
See you next chapter. Until then, ja ne!
