Hello again, here is chapter 4 of Tartarus Kitchen.
Recap: Previously, both teams were waken up early to do a breakfast service challenge, for some royal guards in the other universe, the blue team were successful, in the next dinner service, the four royals, Princesses of the Sun, Moon, Love and Friendship were VIP's, and it was the red team who failed the service.
The red team nominated Flash and Trixie for elimination, but with a surprise twist, Ramsay called Fluttershy to the stand, making her a third nominee, however spared her for her integrity and bravery, and it was Flash Sentry who was eliminated, 15 chefs are left, who will be kicked out next.
15 chefs remaining.
The 15 Chefs lined up in front of the kitchen, facing Ramsay, in the dining room are a set of meats.
" Welcome team to your next Challenge, surf and turf, in front of you are four tables with a dome tray on each, underneath is a seafood and a Meat, taking it in turns, two of you will go from a table, taste the food, and try and find out what it is, by placing the exact meat from the counter behind me on the table, once you've done that, the light will either go green, orange or red, green means you've got both right, orange means you've got one right and one wrong, and red means you've got both wrong, the team that completes the challenge the quickest, wins", said Ramsay.
That made Fluttershy nervous, she was a vegetarian, she never ate meat, and she probably won't be able to identify it either.
" Blue team, you're on a role, so you get to decide if your team wants to go first or second", said Ramsay.
" We decided on second", said Twilight.
" Alright then, head to the dorm, and I'll call you later", said Ramsay.
Once the 7 chefs left, the red team stood, prepared for their first challenge with their new teammate.
" Well, your time, starts, NOW", shouted Ramsay as he started the stopwatch.
Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie went first, Rainbow tasted the surf, and Pinkie tasted the turf.
They went confused, unsure of what to think.
" You can always guess if you're unsure, but it'll cost you time", said Ramsay.
And so, Pinkie and Rainbow placed random meats on the table, and every time the light turned red.
It wasn't until the fourh attempt where the light turned orange.
" One right, but which one", said Ramsay.
Rainbow tried her fish again, and Pinkie tried the meat.
" The turf is right, the surf isn't", said Pinkie.
" I think I know what the surf is", said Rainbow.
placing the previous fish back, Rainbow placed the next fish on there.
" Lamb and Halibut", said Rainbow and Pinkie.
The light turned green.
" Correct", said Ramsay.
Pinkie and Rainbow were able to finish with a time of 2 minutes and 5 seconds.
Trixie and Vinyl were up next, they tasted the second table, surf and turf.
Trixie placed in Random meats, but then Vinyl place a Sea Bass on the table, and the light turned orange.
Vinyl tried the meat, and pointed at the pork, Trixie grabbed it and the light turned green.
" Well done Vinyl", said Ramsay.
Trixie and Vinyl, mainly Vinyl, completed their table with a time of 1 minute and five seconds, bringing the total time now to 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
Zephyr Breeze and Micro Chips was up next, they tried their dish on the third table, Zephyr was trying a random Fish, while Micro Chips who had the meat, knew it was actually poultry, grabbed the chicken and placed it on the table, turning the light orange.
" Come on Zephyr", said Rainbow Dash.
Micro then tasted the fish, and knew what it was.
" It's cod, grab the cod", said Micro Chip.
Zephyr did so, and the light turned green.
" Well done, one more to go", said Ramsay.
Zephyr and Micro completed their part with a time of 1 minute and 40 seconds, bringing their teams total to 4 minutes and 50 seconds.
Applejack and Fluttershy were up last.
" You ready sugarcube", said Applejack.
" No, but do I have a choice", said Fluttershy.
The two went for the fourth table, Applejack tasted the meat, while Fluttershy tasted the seafood.
" This one's elk", said Applejack, grabbing the elk on the table, placing it on the table.
" What about you Fluttershy", said Ramsay.
" I don't know, I never tasted meat or fish before", said Fluttershy.
" let me try", said Applejack, she then tasted the surf meal.
" It taste like prawns", said Applejack.
" Prawns, uh, okay", said Fluttershy.
She then reached the counter, grabbed onto the prawns, trying to avoid being sick from the smell of the meat, and placed the prawns on the table, making the light turn green.
" Well done Applejack, looks like you are the best choice to help this team", said Ramsay.
Applejack and Fluttershy completed their part with a time of 1 minute and 30 seconds, bringing the red teams grand total to 6 minutes and 20 seconds.
" Are you alright sugarcube", said Applejack, seeing Fluttershy about to go pale.
" I need to sit down", said Fluttershy.
" Alright sugarcube", said Applejack, helping Fluttershy sit down next to her team.
" Is she okay", said Ramsay.
" Yeah she just needs a little rest, a little grossed out from the challenge", said Applejack.
" Alright, take her back to the dorms and call for the blue team", said Ramsay.
Later on, while Fluttershy was resting, the blue team arrived.
" Alright blue team, you have 6 minutes and 20 seconds to complete your part in the challenge, that's on average 1 minute and 35 seconds per table, however one of you is going to have to do a table alone, your time starts, NOW", shouted Ramsay.
Sunset and Twilight went to the first table, and tasted the surf and turf, especially Sunset being reluctant knowing she doesn't eat meat either.
Luckily with the help of Twilight, they're able to identify the first two proteins, Lamb and halibut, in only 1 minutes and 30 seconds.
4 minutes and 50 seconds remained.
Derpy and Rarity were the next two to try out their dishes, and although Rarity was hesitant in grabbing the raw proteins from the counter, they managed to identify the proteins as Pork and Sea Bass, despite wasting a bit of time, 2 minutes.
The blue team still have 2 minutes and 50 seconds left to complete the last two tables.
Maud and Wallflower were up next, they tasted the two proteins, they were slower than Sunset and Twilight were, but were quicker than Rarity and Derpy, they manged to identify the third table as Chicken and cod, and was able to complete the table in 1 minute and 45 seconds.
Only one minute and 5 seconds remained, that's how much time big mac has to complete the last table on his own.
" You can do it Big Mac", said Sunset.
Big Mac, tasted the first protein, the surf, and knew it wasn't fish, it was prawns, but then that left that turf, and wasn't able to identify it, time was running out, so he had to guess, he grabbed a duck, and placed it, but it was still orange.
The time ran out.
" Sorry Big Mac, but the time is up, the last protein you were supposed to grab was elk, congratulations red team, you finally win", said Ramsay.
Vinyl, Trixie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Micro Chips and Zephyr cheered.
" I guess Applejack was a lot of help, anyway for your reward, you guys get to spend the rest of the day at the Las Pegasus water park, where you all get to enjoy going down six different water slides, have fun, hopefully Fluttershy will be alright, a little fresh air could do her good", said Ramsay.
Once the red team left, Ramsay turned to the blue team.
" Blue team, sadly you'll be facing punishment, we have a delivery of fish coming, and I want you all to prep them, which includes removing the heads, tails, bones, organs, in order to prep it for tonight service, have fun", said Ramsay.
The blue team began cutting up the fish, all seven of them were disgusted, meanwhile the red team began to walk past them.
Applejack went first and stopped at what she saw.
" Hang on, back guys, back", said Applejack, leading the red team back to the hall, a few seconds later the blue team saw Applejack walking down the kitchen with Fluttershy on her back, a blindfold covering the timid girls eyes, the rest of the red team following.
Fluttershy let out a whiff as they left the kitchen.
" Why do I smell Fish", said Fluttershy.
" Uh, it's nothing really", said Applejack.
" Their removing the heads tails, bones and organs are they", said Fluttershy.
" How did you know", said Applejack.
" Harry has a working appetite on fish, and so does my pelican friends", said Fluttershy.
The 15 chefs began prepping for tonight's dinner service, service number 4.
After a while, they lined up and faced Ramsay.
" Today's service is different, first off the bar is now occupied with hired professional bartenders, so none of you will do that anymore, which means you'll have more time either in the kitchen working on your stations, or in the dining room working on tableside or waiting tables, secondly, Applejack, you're going to be the Floater, helping all the stations when they need it, and believe me, I'm sure they do, red team, after three horrible services for you, it's comeback night", said Ramsay.
" Now, our waiters for this service are Big Mac and Micro Chips, and the chefs doing tablesides are Rarity and Vinyl", said Ramsay.
Fluttershy was now nervous, she will be prepping meat or fish definitely, and she's not a fan of that, she turned to Sunset and nodded at her, saying she'll do the same station.
" Now, Zephyr and Derpy, over the past three service none of you two have done any of the primary stations, which are Meat, Fish, Garnish, Appetizers and Desserts, well, that's about to change", said Ramsay.
Soon everyone began preparing their stations.
In the blue kitchen, we have Twilight on Appetizers, Derpy on Garnish, Sunset on Fish, Wallflower on Meat and Maud Pie on Desserts.
In the red kitchen, we have Trixie on Appetizers, Pinkie on Garnish, Fluttershy on Fish, Zephyr on Meat and Rainbow Dash on Desserts.
" Jacques, open Tartarus kitchen", said Ramsay.
The doors opens at 7:00 PM, and customers began arriving.
tickets were placed on the counter, and Ramsay read the first one.
" Blue team, first order, one risotto, one scallops, one bass, got it", said Ramsay.
" Yes chef", said the blue team.
He then went to the red kitchen.
" Read team, first order, one Caesar salad, one cod, one lamb", said Ramsay.
" Yes Chef", said the red team.
Ten minutes later.
" Dammit Trixie", shouted Ramsay, showing the salad she and Pinkie were working on.
" I asked for a Caesar, and the croutons are missing", said Ramsay.
" Pinkie was the one doing the salad, not me", said Trixie.
" The salad is an appetizer, which you are working on, Pinkie is helping you on the garnish, but is also doing garnishes for the cod and the lamb, which leaves you on the salad, stop pointing fingers, and make me a F*cking salad", snapped Ramsay.
For the next 20 minutes, the pace began to pick up, until...
" Wait a second, Big Mac, come here", said Ramsay.
Big Mac approached him.
" Was this supposed to say Cod", said Ramsay, showing the ticket Big Mac placed on the till.
" Eeyup", said Big Mac.
" Don't give me that Eeyup bullshit, it's either Yes or No, plus, Cod doesn't start with a K you F*cking Donut", shouted Ramsay.
Five minutes later.
" Trixie, come here", snapped Ramsay.
Trixie did so.
" First you can make a simple salad, and now you're F*cking up on the risotto, it's barely an hour into dinner service and you're already screwing me over, have you given up", said Ramsay.
" No Chef, I haven't", said Trixie.
" Then wake up", shouted Ramsay.
" Yes Chef", said Trixie.
25 minutes go by, and it's now 8:00 PM, an hour into dinner service.
" Seriously Big Mac, I don't like your handwriting, Jacques", said Ramsay.
" Yes Chef Ramsay", said Jacques.
" Watch him while he's writing, because I can't seem to trust him to write an order properly, and know what it's saying", said Ramsay.
Meanwhile, it wasn't just Trixie and Big Mac that weren't doing well on tonight's service.
" Rarity, darling, I saw a bit of your hair fall into the pan", said Jacques to Rarity while she was doing tableside.
" What, oh no, this is horrid", said Rarity.
" No don't worry, here put this on and tie your hair back", said Jacques, pulling a hair tie out of his pocket, giving it to Rarity.
A few minutes go by.
" F*cking hell Trixie, what are you doing", said Ramsay, showing the next risotto, that had burnt rice inside.
" Oh shit", muttered Trixie.
" Did you think that by mixing the burnt rice in with the risotto I wouldn't notice, come with me, into the storage room", said Ramsay.
He then lead Trixie into the storage room, slamming the door as they were both in.
" Are you trying to sabotage your team", said Ramsay.
" I'm not chef", said Trixie.
" Really, because so far you F*cked on Salad, and Risotto's, you've even tried to hide it so I wouldn't notice, even if I didn't, the customer will, are you sure you haven't given up", said Ramsay.
" No Chef, I haven't", said Trixie.
" I'm not convinced, I'm about ready to kick you out, but I'm going to give you one last chance, if you f*ck up one more time, you're done", said Ramsay.
" Yes Chef", said Trixie.
Half an hour went by, it was now 8:45 PM, only an hour and 15 minutes remained till the end of service.
" Sunset, come here", said Ramsay.
Sunset did so.
" What's this", said Ramsay, showing a fish Sunset sent to the pass, halibut.
" It's cooked perfectly", said Sunset.
" Yes, but I asked for cod, not halibut, honestly, both you and Fluttershy may not be liking prepping meat or fish, but at the moment Fluttershy is doing a better job, please check the fish before cooking it, better yet, listen to my orders, alright", said Ramsay.
" Yes Chef, sorry chef", said Sunset.
Five minutes later.
" I HAVE JUST ABOUT HAD ENOUGH", said Ramsay, slamming the pan full of Risotto on the table.
" Trixie, over the past couple of hours, you've been f*cking up on appetizers, and now I've just about had enough, take off your jacket, and leave tartarus kitchen, you're finished, Applejack you take over on Appetizers", said Ramsay.
Trixie then left the kitchen, meanwhile Applejack began making the appetizers.
More time went for, and only 45 minutes remained until dinner service.
Rarity accidentally dropped a plate during her tableside.
" Jacques, where's the broom", said Rarity.
" I'll get you one, and a dustpan", said Jacques.
Half an hour later.
" Okay Derpy you can stop on the garnishes now, you're only wasting food", said Ramsay.
Afterwards, service was finished and customers began leaving.
Meanwhile back in the dorms, Trixie finished packing, and began leaving.
Trixie's final comment, " I can't believe this has happened, I was hoping to win, or at least be as close as I could, or even get a black Jacket, well, now I can go back to doing what I love best, magic, look out Las Pegasus, the great and powerful Trixie is about to show what I'm really here for".
Back in the kitchens, the red team and blue team lined up facing Ramsay.
" Well team, I don't know what to say, despite a few setbacks, Rarity not doing well on Tablesides, Big Mac not knowing how to write properly, and Trixie getting halfway through service, the rest went well, both teams did brilliant, I think both teams win, out of the four services we have had so far, this one was better, however it's not over yet, I want both teams to head back to the dorm, and come up with one nominee from each team, who you think is the weakest, head back to the dorms and return in half an hour with your choice", said Ramsay.
Both teams went separate ways, Red in on the patio, blue team in the dining room, making their decision.
The blue team, Maud, Rarity, Twilight, Sunset, Big Mac, Derpy and Wallflower began their choice.
" Well any suggestions", said Derpy.
" First off Big Mac, you were holding back on the tickets, we were all ready to make the dishes while you were struggling on waiting", said Sunset.
" Anyone else", said Twilight.
" Rarity wasn't doing good on Tableside", said Derpy.
" I only made a simple mistake", said Rarity.
" Let's put it to a vote, all in favor Big Mac", said Sunset, she, Twilight, Rarity, Maud and Wallflower raised their hand, and Big Mac gulped nervously.
Meanwhile the red team, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Vinyl, Micro Chips, Zephyr and Pinkie Pie also decided to vote.
" We'll go around the circle, and call out our votes, one at a time", said Applejack.
" But this service only Trixie was holding us back, and she's gone, the rest of us didn't even mess up this time", said Rainbow Dash.
" Well then let's vote on overall experience, we'll start with you Micro", said Applejack.
" Well, if we're doing overall experience then I vote for Zephyr", said Micro.
" Why", said Zephyr.
" No offense, but I don't think anyone will forget your signature dish day one for a long time, plus this is the first time you did a proper station this service, the last three times you were either a bartender, cleaner or tableside, and they are more easy", said Micro.
" Hey, the tableside was very difficult", said Zephyr.
" Not as difficult as the main stations, if you were such a professional chef, you would've started out on those stations, you're lazy, trying to find the easy way out", said Micro Chips.
" I agree, my votes on Zephyr", said Rainbow Dash.
" Well Zephyr, is there anyone else we should nominate other than you", said Applejack.
" Fluttershy maybe", said Zephyr.
" Why", said Fluttershy, shocked that her brother threw her under the bus.
" I mean yesterday you hesitated on that protein challenge, and you nearly went sick", said Zephyr.
" But I was doing great in tonight's service", said Fluttershy.
" She's right, and she was on fish station tonight", said Rainbow Dash.
Half an hour went by, and the 14 remaining chefs lined up.
" Have you all made your decision", said Ramsay.
The chefs nodded.
" Twilight, who's the nominee for the blue team", said Ramsay.
" Big Mac, based on tonight's service, we felt time was wasting because of his lack of ability to write", said Twilight.
" Applejack, who is the red teams nominee", said Ramsay.
" Zephyr, based on overall experience, at the start he made a really pathetic signature dish, and then only did the easier stations, and the only primary station he did was the meat station today", said Applejack.
" Big Mac, Zephyr, step forward", said Ramsay.
The two males did so.
" Big Mac, why should you stay here", said Ramsay.
" I have been very reliable and able to work on my stations the last three services, the only reason I'm sent here is because of being unable to do something I could improve on", said Big Mac.
" Zephyr, first time nominated, I thought you would be gone before Sandalwood, why should you stay", said Ramsay.
" I've been improving myself ever since my fail at the signature dish", said Zephyr.
" Okay, I've heard enough, I've made my decision...
...

...
...
... Zephyr, take off your jacket", said Ramsay.
Sighing defeatedly, Zephyr did so and gave the jacket to Gordon, much to Rainbow Dash's relief.
" And put this one on and join the blue team", Ramsay, given Zephyr a blue Jacket.
" Ooh, blue, my favorite color", said Zephyr, putting on the blue Jacket, much to Rainbow Dash's dismay.
" Big Mac, take off you jacket, and put this one on", said Ramsay, showing Big Mac a red Jacket.
Soon, Zephyr was now on the blue team and Big Mac was on the red team.
" I decided to spare you both for now after Trixie's sudden elimination, also now knowing that if your old team can't trust you, then maybe your new team will, now get out all of you", said Ramsay.
The 14 chefs then did so, 7 from the red team, and 7 from the blue team.
Meanwhile Ramsay went to his office where Trixie's jacket laid there, being picked up from one of the camera crew, he grabbed it and hung it.
Ramsay's final comment, " Trixie may be a great illusionist, but not a great chef, I have tricks up my sleeve too, and made another chef disappear from Tartarus kitchen".
15th place: Trixie Lulamoon.
14 chefs remaining.
And that's it for now, and after a shocking service, Trixie was kicked out early, will the other 14 chefs avoid a similar fate, until next time, that's all for now.
