Riding down a dune with his bike, he would feel the wind in his face for only a few seconds. It was one of the ways he cooled down a little, but thanks to the blazing heat from the dessert it was almost impossible.

"Man...I need to get water….juice is not cutting it fucking well" Sure the cranberry juice kept him from actually dying from the heat. But it just wasn't doing well, plus he was running out at this point.

All he did was walk all day, try not to run into any animals that might want to kill him, and make sure you have somewhere safe to sleep. He only got two of those right, sleeping in a dessert is not fun at all. Sand got everywhere, god he started to feel like a dude with a laser sword

But there was something else that was slowly starting to get to him, something so small but large. Sure he's avoided it by now, but that feeling just sank into his body like a weight.

Loneliness

His breathing, the sounds of sand being crushed under his foot, his heavy breathing when he ever walked up the dunes, the wind flying past him whenever he rode down a dune. The wind blowing sand from one place to another, the sand did get into his eye's so that didn't help

There was no one else to talk to other than himself, even then talking to himself just got boring as well. He was lonely, it has been an entire day without talking to a person. He would break while he was pedaling his bike for a second to just lay down for a second.

This whole trip he didn't speak during the trip, sure he did talk but that was only to share his distance with the vast nothingness around him. When he layed down, looking into that deep blue sky, clouds moving to the left with the wind itself. He would raise his arms and let it all out

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK. GODAMNIT"

With all that built-up emotion in his body, all of his rage, sadness, doubt, etc.
It just all came out in one large burst of energy if anyone was around to hear his outrage. They would think he was going insane or if someone's master plan just failed.

"WHY THE FUCK DID I HAVE TO BE TELEPORTED TO A FUCKING DESSERT. ALL I SEE IS FUCKING SAND, A FEW ROCKS, AND SOME DEAD PLANTS. FUCKING HELP ME!
PLEASE GOD"

His voice unbounded with people or morals anymore, all alone he just wanted to talk to someone anyone. But nobody came. It was a fruitless goal right now, but if he doesn't die here and found some sort of town that would be so much better.

After that little rant, he just keeps ongoing. Keeps on riding his bike. This was going to be his second night like this, alone. As he would walk over to one of the much larger dunes, like last time he would just lay down his jacket for later. Evan on the other hand would walk up to the top of the dune to look into the vast desert.

The Sun was setting slowly, the sky above becoming orange and then into the soft blue.
Evan passed the time by playing with the sand: throwing it, making hills, writing his name into the ground. Normal stuff little kids would do in a sandbox. But he was a teenager in a dessert.

"Sleeeeeep" Going back to his spot, he would just lay down and look up in the night sky once again. There was no noise again this night, but again he was scared of another snake biting him. Now that he thinks of the bite mark from the snake day ago, it didn't hurt that much anymore

The bite mark still hurt a little bit but it didn't hurt that much anymore. He felt fine, maybe that snake didn't have any venom or anything, or maybe not. But then he started to feel funny

It started as a feeling of dizziness as if he stood in bed for too long and got up. Then his throat started to close, his breathing started to get faster and faster. His stomach was on fire, it felt like it was burning. Something forced itself out from his throat, since his throat was closed it hurt even more when the bile from his stomach covered the sand.

"no...I please….Ple-" Again he threw up what was in his stomach. His body started to shut down slowly, his eyesight starts to blur. His arms gave out as he crashed onto his vomit, tears started to run down his face. He didn't want to die here, not like this.

"Help...me...please.." Saying such a thing in this location was idiotic, to say the least. But he wanted to give himself a little hope before he died. He would call out to anyone, even if there was no one to listen.

Then right in front of him, there was this little light that appeared. Evan saw the light they were giving off, trying to move his head he saw them, little lights floating around him.

"Are you ok.."

"What's wrong with him"

"He's gonna die….should we"

"Cursed"
"Poor child"

Their voices were similar to little kids whispering to each other secrets, They seemed so close and yet so far. Just close enough to see the light, far from being touched in any way.

"I'm begging you" Calling out to those voices he heard inside of his head, these voices were right in front of him. Why weren't they helping! WHY !?

"Too late"
"Were sorry"
'Can't help"
"Rest now"

The voices told him that they couldn't, they were too late to save him. Without any strength to look at them anymore, his head fell to the sand. He felt cold, colder than any time before. Slowly his eye's started to close, Evan just felt tired at this point. He didn't cry anymore, he just accepted his fate at this point. With the last thing, he saw...the last thing that he saw a yellow light, a small yellow light that shined over his body.

"Were...sorry"

Those were the last thing he heard before the notably happened, with one last breath of air exiting his body. His muscles weren't tense anymore, they felt like if he just relaxed for the moment. He closed his eyes and took a rest.

He thought this was the end, he died alone in a desert in a new world. When he closed his eyes, they seemed to blink? He doesn't know. It was like he was on the floor for a second then he was now riding down a bike. When feeling the heat coming onto him, the wind in his face. He freaked out making the bike turn to the left, Evan falling off from the bike and down the dunes. When he arrived at the bottom of the dune, he would be in pain. But that could wait, he just looked at his hands for a second...they were fine..nothing was wrong with them. They were normal, then he started to remember what happened. The feeling of vomit went through his mind, that feeling of weakness and hopelessness, he remembered what he saw when he was going to "Die". The Lights' In The Night Sky

"Uhh….uh…" The realization of him dying, being able to remember it so vividly. He moved into a cradle his legs, his face buried into his knees. Then he just..cried, he cried his eye's out.

Did he….Return By Death?
