Chapter IV
The limo parked in the parking lot of a large luxury beachfront hotel and casino in Atlantic City, and a concierge carried their luggage up to their hotel rooms.
"If you guys need anything." Mark said, "Just let my staff know."
"We will, Mark." Charley replied, "Thanks."
After telling them all of their meals were on him, Mark nodded then left the room. Miles turned to Sara, who was laying on both hers and Throttle's bed.
"Mommy?" He asked, "Can we go to the boardwalk later?"
"Not today, baby-doll." Sara replied, while Throttle slid his vest off and sat on the window sill.
Miles climbed up onto their bed and glanced at Sara. She was laying on her back with her head laying on a pillow. Young Miles pulled his shoes off and laid down beside her. Wanting to stretch his legs, Throttle grabbed his vest and slipt it back on, then began to walk over to the door when there was a knock on the door. Throttle opened it.
"What is it, Vinnie? He said
"Charley and everyone else are taking naps." Vinnie quietly, "Wanna hit the boardwalk with me, bro?"
"I've been wanting to stretch my legs ever since we arrived." Throttle replied, "Let's go."
The two of them left the hotel room and slipped their helmets on then headed down to the boardwalk. Although nighttime had fallen over the city, they began to walk down the boardwalk. Because it was tourist season, it was very busy so they had to stay together. The two of them bought bottles of root beer, and sat down on a city bench. A figure they knew from their past was watching them from a small boardwalk shop.
"Something on your mind, bro?" Vinnie asked
"I'm just concerned about my future with both Sara and Miles." Throttle told Vinnie, "Before we left the garage back in Chicago, I got permission from both Stoker and Miles to marry Sara."
"You're gonna marry Sara?" Vinnie asked happily
TheYou really think I'm gonna be a good husband?"
"Are you kidding, bro?" Vinnie said, "I think you're gonna make a great husband."
Throttle looked at him.
"Really?" He asked, "What makes you say that?"
"Well, you two love each other, despite her being a strong person." Vinnie replied.
"Man, she can put your ego in its place." Throttle added with a chuckle "Which is what I like."
Vinnie gave him an annoyed look.
"Relax, Vinnie." Throttle said with his hands up. "I'm only kidding."
"Back to what I was saying, you're an excellent dad to Miles. That kid loves you." Vinnie said, "But I think you and Sara should see a marriage counselor soon. I remember my mom going to see a marriage counselor before she married my dad a few years after I was born. So yea, I know what both you and Miles are going through."
Throttle smiled at him. Normally, it would have been Vinnie looking to Throttle for advice since that was part of his job as leader.
"Thanks, Vinnie." Throttle said.
The two of them exchanged high-fives and took sips of root beer, then Throttle got up and headed back to the hotel. The sounds of the waves from the Atlantic Ocean crashing was very satisfying. Vinnie haven't noticed the mysterious figure had walked up to them from behind.
"Excuse me, kind sir." The voice said to him.
Vinnie got up and turned around to face this stranger, who had a slim body and wore a dark-blue body suit and helmet. He noticed the helmet was martian technology. He also noticed the biker was a female.
"Can you help me?" The biker asked, "I'm having problems with my motorcycle."
"Sure." Vinnie said, "Where's your motorcycle?"
"Come with me." The biker replied
Vinnie followed her off the boardwalk and into the parking garage of another hotel and casino. They appoarched a dark-blue blue racer martian motorcycle. Vinnie removed his helmet, then faced the female biker.
"There's nobody here," He said to her, "so you can remove her helmet."
The female biker reached up to her helmet and pulled it off. Vinnie's jaw dropped when he saw who she was.
