Sandy awoke to a slight pain throbbing in her breasts. She pushed herself up from Statics couch and noticed daylight starting to peer through the window. Did they all really sleep through a whole night without one feeding? Sandy franticly jumped to her feet in fear as she rushed over to her sleeping children to check on their condition. Both male, and female, babies continued to sleep in peace even with her looming over them. She continued to look at her peacefully sleeping children in disbelief as she rubbed her aching breasts.
"Rise and shine." She muttered as she picked up her daughter to prepare her for her feeding.
By the time Sandy had finished changing, and feeding, the children she noted it was still only 7:00 AM. Had Static been going to work he should have been up about this time, as he worked the same schedule as Shadow most days. The idea of waking him didn't sit right with her after him being nice enough to take her and her youngsters in for the night, so she decided to fold up her sleeping area. After she made quick work of tiding up, and laid the kids down on the floor to enjoy their mobiles; she still felt the need to pitch in a little more for him.
A smile crossed her face as she considered making his favorite breakfast. The purple male had a bad habit of talking about his guilty pleasures to her often. She just hoped he had everything available for her to show her gratitude for his hospitality of inviting them in. Having a place to escape for the night was definitely appreciated, however she was more thankful for his company.
A sweet smell filled up Static's lungs as he tossed himself over in his bed. He reached his arm out but was only met with an empty space next to him. Static pushed himself up frowning at the realization that he had only been dreaming of sharing his bed with her. His sour expression faded as he took in a long deep breath. A smile crossed his lips as he recalled that even though he was alone in his bed he wasn't alone in his house. "She's still here." He whispered to himself as he pushed out of his bed. Now it was time to go about keeping it that way.
After quickly brushing his teeth, and combing through his fur, he found himself rummaging through his dresser. It took only a moment before he threw together, what he imaged, the perfect outfit. Tight fitting faded blue jeans and an even tighter fitting vibrant green tee shirt. The male squirrel had been pushing himself extra hard at the company gym the last few months, and thought today would be a great day to show off his results.
The expression of pure satisfaction covered his face as he happy walked down the hall towards the kitchen. His heart's rhythm intensified as he walked into his dinning area and saw Sandy look over her shoulder at him with a smile. She was standing at the stove working away as it sizzled back at her.
"Morning!" She greeted him before turning back to her task. "Hope ya don't mind that helped myself ta a few things in yer fridge."
"Not at all." He reassured her as he walked up and stood behind her. He looked over her shoulder and started to watch her cook. It took him quite a bit of restraint to not wrap his arms around her waist and kiss her neck. "God, I want you!" He screamed inside the confidence of his mind.
Sandy turned her head back and looked at him. They were just a few inches apart this time as she looked into his eyes while his attention darted back and forth from her eyes to her lips. A blush crossed her face almost as if she could read what was going through his mind. Static took a nervous step back and started to blush himself. "Sorry." He laughed with a hint of worry.
"Yer alright. I just-" The blush seemed to intensify on her face before she turned back to stove. "I made ya some coffee. It's on the table."
"Thanks." He proceeded to head over to his large dark wooded table and take a seat as he pulled the coffee mug towards himself.
"This is some real fancy stuff ya got." She stated before taking a sip from her own mug as she turned off the stove.
"I enjoy quality."
Sandy looked around the kitchen at his high-end appliance and marble counter tops. "I can see that." She smiled to herself and she made him a plate and took it over to him. "I reckon yer crazy high standards is why yer still single." She teased.
"It's just that all the good ones are taken." He shot back as she settled herself, with her own plate, on the opposite end of the table from him.
"Is that so?" She questioned before taking a bite of food.
He nodded yes as he continued to eat the food she made him at a relaxed pace. "This is really great." He attempted to change the subject as he could feel her eyes still on him. He knew the look she was wearing now well. It was as if she was trying to see his very soul.
"Thanks. I figured it was the least I could do after you helped us out." Sandy then stood up and peered into the other room to check on the children before returning to her seat. "I likely would'a lost my mind if I had stayed home alone last night. It's gonna be hard enough going back there today."
"Then don't go back yet." Static suggested while finishing up the last of the food on his plate. "It's Friday, so why not stay here for the weekend?"
"I don't know Static… I don't wanna push my luck with yer kindness."
"That's impossible! You have met me, haven't you?" He gave her a cocky grin before picking up his finished plate, and hers, to take to the sink. "It'll be fun! We haven't gotten to hang out very often since you had the twins. Let's make up for lost time!" Static's enthusiastic voice almost canceled out the cluttering of the dishes while he washed them.
"Alright. Why the hell not?" Sandy agreed. "Better than dealing with my failings as a wife just yet."
"You're not the one failing." Static corrected her.
"Thanks for the support Static, but it's kinda easy for ya to say those nice things when I'm not yer wife." Sorrow took hold of her expression and even body language.
Static walked up behind her and put his hands on her shoulders while giving her a kiss on the head. "Not yet." He whispered to her.
He laughed as she rolled her eyes and slapped him away. "Yer too funny!" She gave a sarcastic laugh.
Static took an overly exaggerated bow before offering her his hand to help her out of her chair. "Shall we go indoctrinate your children?"
Sandy accepted his hand while keeping her smug smile. "Sounds like a plan."
