It only took an hour after the blood tests for Jessica's arms to bruise. The black marks had already appeared where the needle had stabbed her and it was painful to even move her arms. The bruises were black and yellow, with red markings splattered. It brought back the memories of her time in here.

She never use to bruise this easily until they had started testing on her. With the amount of injections she was given on a daily basis, it was natural for her to bruise like this. The anaesthetic had worn off from her biopsy and there was a soreness there as well.

If she thought she was angry before, she didn't know what she was feeling now. Her focus was still on trying to get out of the cuffs to make an escape. She didn't care if someone would off themselves right now, all she wanted was to get out of this hell. Kilgrave and Dr Louis had left with the samples and Jessica was now on her own.

Lifting herself from the bed, she looked around the room to see if there was anything she could use as a weapon or anything to help with removing the cuffs. The metal table that held the equipment used on her was close by her and so she worked on trying to bring it closer to her. She shuffled herself as close to the edge of the bed as possible before reaching over with all her might to grab the edge of the table.

Her fingers were just inches away and she tugged harder on the chain, her arm once again twisting so that the socket could pop out any minute. Her fingers latched on to the table and she pulled quickly, the wheels squeaking as she brought the table closer.

She let out a sigh of relief, blowing a piece of hair that had fallen in front of her eyes and searched the table to look for a weapon. The scalpel used for the biopsy laid there on the table and Jessica immediately grabbed it. There was a small amount of her blood on the end and she glanced over at the door, checking that she was still alone. Anyone could walk in at any moment so she had to be careful.

Maybe I can slit Kilgrave's throat with this and leave him to die a slow painful death

The idea made her smile and Jessica slipped the scalpel next to her, keeping it out of sight incase Kilgrave was to walk back in. She assumed he and Dr Louis would be gone for a while, testing her blood and her skin sample to see if there was something that was causing her ability to repel Kilgrave's control.

Jessica cringed at the sight of the needle lying there. Even the sight of a needle made her sick inside and she pushed the table away, not wanting anymore dark memories to come back. Jessica looked underneath the bed, seeing the end of the chain and she took a deep breath before reaching underneath it. She pulled hard, her super strength trying to fight the cuffs but they wouldn't break through. Her face scrunched up as she reached harder for the bar that the chain was attached to.

With one final pull, Jessica managed to reach the bar and latch on it, her hand gripping it hard. She gripped the bar hard in her hand and the metal started to kink, bending with ease as if she was screeching up a cardboard tube.

Jessica squeezed tightly and the metal bar had been squashed so that the chain became loose. Jessica then pulled at the metal, bending it so it was deforming it's shape and as she pulled the metal bar started to tear. She pulled more and suddenly the bar broke, her hand snapping back as the chain released and her arm was free of the bar. She pulled her hand up and sighed. The cuff had broken into her skin and she was bleeding, the blood dripping onto her gown and soaking the bed.

Jessica wasted no time in jumping off the bed and breaking free from the other bar for her other hand. Once she had managed to free the chains, she desperately looked around the room for anything to break the cuffs. Even though she was free, the chains would get in the way of her escape and she needed her hands in order to defeat Kilgrave.

The cold polished floor touched her bare feet and a flashback of her when she was younger entered her mind, reminding her of the time she first woke up in this room. She was bare foot at the time and the coldness of the floor was exactly as it was back then.

Shaking her head, she ignored the memories, making quick work to look in all the cupboards and draws to find something to help remove the cuffs.

"Fuck" she screamed to herself, disappointed there was nothing that could possibly help her. No tools, only medical equipment that didn't seem to be very sturdy in breaking metal. The chain rattled as she rummaged through the draws and in her search for something, her head turned quickly at the sound of footsteps.

Shit

Jessica leaped over to the bed, grabbing the hidden scalpel and she ran to the other side of the door, hiding behind it so that when it opened, she wouldn't be seen. As promised, the door opened and she was hidden from the figure entering. Dr Louis entered inside and froze as soon as he saw the empty bed.

Jessica lunged forward, kicking his back with her foot and sending him on the floor, his body sliding on the floor, making a squeaking sound. He grunted hard and rolled onto his back, groaning as Jessica stormed over and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.

"How does it feel to be stabbed like a fucking animal" in her haste, Jessica grabbed one of the used needles and jammed it into his shoulder, a loud scream coming from him as the needle dug in deeply.

Of course Dr Louis's scream alerted the security guards outside the door and Jessica turned, glancing between the two, wondering who was going to make the first move. The security guard on the left made the first move and charged at her only Jessica was quicker and she kicked him back, sending him into the wall.

The other security guard jumped onto her, grabbing her shoulders to bring her down to the floor but Jessica reached around and twisted his arm, flinging him across the room. The security guard groaned as he hit the wall and as her attention was occupied on him it gave the first security guard a chance to get up.

Jessica felt a smack to her right side and she turned, grabbing his arm and pulling him forward before punching him in the face and sending him across the room. The three men lay groaning on the floor; Dr Louis desperately trying to remove the needle jammed in his shoulder.

Jessica wasted no time in fleeing out the room. She looked both ways debating what direction to take and she ran down the right corridor. It was dark and there were several doors to her left and right. Of course, these were the homes of the other poor children here, just like her.

She kept her eyes forward, not wanting to go to that dark place and she reached a door. Flinging it open, there was another corridor and she glanced both ways, unsure of what direction to go in.

The sound of running behind her turned her head to see the two security guards running after her.

"Shit" she whispered to herself and ran down the corridor, her feet slapping against the floor and the chains rattling. She reached a door and kicked it open, the wood cracking and the door banging against the wall. Jessica ran as fast as she could but she could hear the security guards catching up with her. All that alcohol had made her not as fit as she thought she was.

Quickly hiding behind a corner, she leant up as far as she could against the wall, waiting for the security guards to either run past her and miss her or she could take a shot at them. The security guards turned that corner and she kicked her leg out to stop one. The other security guard leaped on top of her and pulled his gun around her neck to bring her down to the floor.

Jessica gripped the gun and flung it across the room, the gun clattering and she punched the security guard behind her, sending him into the wall and the wall broke from the impact. Jessica stormed up to the security, ready to give him another beating when the sound of clapping halted her. She turned her head and looked across, her eyes wide at Kilgrave standing there, a big grin on his face as he clapped.

"Well it doesn't get any better than this, you remember this is how we met the first time, you beating those thugs for that drug addict you call a friend" Jessica glared over at Kilgrave, who was smiling like a creep.

"You made him a drug addict" Jessica sneered and Kilgrave laughed softly.

"Yes, but he chose to take those drugs, I didn't force him I merely offered them to him" Kilgrave shrugged, speaking as if he hadn't done anything wrong.

"You destroyed that man's life, just like you do with everyone, but now the tables are turning, you can't control me and your security guards seem incapacitated, seems I'm the one in control here" Jessica smirked and started to advance on Kilgrave. She had slipped the scalpel through the cuff so she would't drop it and as soon as she had him she would slit his throat.

Oh how she couldn't wait to watch him die right in front of her.

"Oh Jessica how wrong you are" Kilgrave shook his head.

"Now" Kilgrave shouted and a sharp shot hit Jessica in the back of the neck. She stumbled and her hand reached her neck as a small dart stuck out of it. Her body started to fumble and she became woozy and dizzy, her feet stumbling across the floor and her eyesight going blurry.

Fuck

Jessica fell forward, her body hitting the ground and before her eyesight turned to complete darkness, two pairs of shoes stood before her, one of course being Kilgrave's and the other being Dr Louis's.
