Grey household was moving forward steadily. Elena knew a few Muggleborns who could be bound to oaths and contracts and be tutors of their children.
They decided on 2 at the end, one for older kids and one for younger. She had already started all the kids on French as she was fluent in it and also started German lessons for Teddy and Doe.
These tutors would teach them basic skills under contract of 6 months to be renewed if results were satisfactory.
Now a Room on 1st floor was converted into A school room for children where they could distinguish study and play from each other.
Elena had also entertained Harry occasionally as Her husband and Relatives were busy locating Leonard after the ritual. Leonard was alive and living somewhere in Britain itself.
Henry who was well versed in muggle investigations scouted the muggle world for whereas about of the child and James who was yet to leave Aurors but had handed 1 month notice was looking in Ministry archives.
Lily had accomplished her goal and was now once more preganant as she declared during joint Valentine's day dinner in the Grey family townhouse.
They all couldn't go outside for celebration but celebrating inside home wasnt too bad.
James had already discovered reports of portkey signature on the site where Leo and Areielle had died which wasn't investigated due to shortage of force.
Henry was now working overtime in locating the child of his brother and it was near Easter when he discovered him.
Leonard Moreno Potter was living with a foster family in Scotland in a village few miles from Hogwarts. His parents must've set portkey to the Hogwarts but it must've redirected to the nearest village.
He was found by an elderly couple taking an evening walk and adopted on the spot. They would foster him till his family couldn't be located was decided by local chief in the village. The child knew his name so they had sent a few advertisements in Lost and found sections of newspapers.
One of this old newspaper resulted in Luck for Henry. Adoption process took only a few weeks as Leonard had identified Henry as Uncle Henry and villagers were sympathetic that he had lost his parents at such young age but they were also happy that Leonard's family was found. He had lived there for almost 2 years now and if was only good education given by Arielle that Leonard remembered his name and his parents name.
At tender age of 5, much couldn't be expected from a child. Leonard was bought home on 25th April, Elena was 6 months pregnant now and Lily 3 months, and even if it was weird seeing his Mother pregnant happiness on the couple's face was worth it.
He had heard rumours that Voldemort had started hunting Potters and Longbottoms and knew what was coming. His arrival had resulted in his Mother having one more child as he knew that his mother wasn't pregnant or he didn't have any sibling in previous timeline.
Leonard was welcomed with a party in kids playroom and was given the room set aside on 2nd floor for Jaques for now.
Henry knew that he needed to move to bigger home but he was postponing it till after halloween.
He had already purchased and bonded with 3 more elves and they were cleaning and preparing Wildflower Manor where his family had previously lived for their arrival in November.
It had enough wings and space to handle all the children and their growing family.
They had created a second nursery on 4th floor near master bedroom in the room designated for Private study for now.
On the monthly healer's appointment in May, The grey household received a pleasant surprise.
Elena was carrying twins, one Boy and one Girl. Everyone was happy in the home and elves were already airing his kids old things for new arrivals.
Shopping in this time was not advisable as he knew voldemort's lackeys we're keeping an eye on any more children born near end of July.
Due date of his children were near that time but he knew that twins always came early so he was betting from end of June to mid of jy for new arrivals.
They had decided on names already, elegant names for the second set of twins in the home, not related to anyone so that they could make their own way.
On 1st July 1981, The grey household welcomed its latest additions.
Samuel Vincent Prince-Grey and Sophia Dorothy Prince-Grey were born a month early and had put their mother in labour of 21 hours. Meanwhile they had refused to share a birth date and had arrived near midnight.
Samuel like all the protective older brother had came into the world 5 minutes to midnight on 29th June and checked his surroundings first and then after 15 minutes of critical timing,
Sophia Had graced everyone with her presence like the princess she was at 12:11 A.m. on 30th june. They had filled their birth certificates and taken the children home after one day of compulsory bed rest for the mother.
Henry had agreed to do the ritual which would leave him impotent after the threats he had hear from Elena much to the confusion of many doctors.
Henry was ready with his wand if any magic happened but it didn't came to that end. They had decided to get their children delivered in muggle hospital after Henry had sensed that St.Mungo was now compromised.
Last few healer's appointment had happened at their home by a private Healer who was under secrecy vows by Head of Grey family.
After their arrival and a party which resulted in Newest set of twins Crying loudly and all the young ones declining that they never cried like that, Henry had warded the whole house with another protective layer.
Newly dubbed Sammy and Sophie by their elder siblings looked at everyone and everything fascinated after a few days of rest and settling in.
Henry started getting comfortable with Elena and also got a muggle vasectomy which could be healed by magical methods easily if need arose.
Well he wasn't planning on more children after living in the house filled with 9 children now.
Leonard had settled well being young as he was, they had combined his welcome home party with a late birthday party and numerous important things in form of presents.
Sammy and Sophie favoured their mother in the looks, Dark Blond wavy hair with her delicate features. They had inherited Green eyes of Harry but rest of it was all their mother.
Henry had taken care of half the stuff he bought night by night in basement which he had converted into warded safe zone. He had taken out all the old children's stuff and handed it to Honey for better distribution as needed.
A trip to Wildflower Manor for improved warding had resulted in him knowing about a secure vault even below the dungeons there. It held many dark items bought by Dorea into the family and harry added all the other Dark items not safe for children from around the manor and his bought back collection to that vault and reinforced the wards to the highest. He had every intention of burning non useful items or selling them to goblins who were greedy little fuckers.
He had stored the gold and monies he had bought back which was combination of Potter and Black fotune from his old world and also included Weasley fortune which they had earned after the dust of war had settled down. Bill, Fluer, Charlie, Percy, Audrey, George, Ron, Hermione and Arthur had done exceedingly well and their combined efforts could make a Malfoy feeling inadequate. Andromeda didn't had too much on her name but even she had flourished after the war with support of the family.
All the remaining things went to 1st level dungeons in heaps and piles for later pursual. Those things rivalled Room of hidden things in its glory but was of infinitely better quality.
His elven friends would sort these out when they needed more work. Right now a family of 3 elves which he had bonded with was working hard in getting the manor ready for almost a dozen children and a few adults.
On a bright sunny day in September, Holly Marie Potter graced the world with herself and her smile. She was a red head like her mother but had her father's Hazel eyes. She came with a head of wild curls which almost gave James a heart attack. He knew he would need to beat boys away from her as she grew. Henry was honored as her godfather and Elena as her Godmother. They hadn't met Remus in many months and promised Peter their next child's godparent status.
On 21st October they switched secret keeper to Peter from Sirius but James had invited Henry and Elena for dinner that night and informed him of the changes. Henry left that night heavy hearted and with 2 portkey necklaces sticked to his godchild and Nephew. Holly's necklace was voice activated with darkest words as activation phase whereas Harry's portkey was spell activated.
He had begged again and again with the Fawkes but winds were not with him. He vowed to go after every death Eater with vengeance after 31st October.
His family shifted to Wildflower Manor in week before Halloween with help of now 8 house elves and now able to move on her feet Elena.
Henry stared in the fire holding a tumbler of whiskey on the darkest night of the year. He and his wand were ready and he was waiting for fall of the wards and fidelius as he didn't remember where potters lived right now.
At around 10 in night he heard arrival by Portkey, his Goddaughter. And he immediately apparated to godric's hollow after performing a sleeping spell on her.
He came in front a reckage and angry howl of Sirius Black. Sirius had just arrived like him and they both nodded at each other and moved towards the cottage.
They first arrived to the still warm body of James Potter and sirius broke down seeing him. Henry asked Sirius to stay put and that he would check upstairs.
Sirius asked how he knew about this and Henry simply said Holly had a danger activated portkey on. She arrived in his manor a few minutes ago was in care of his wife. Sirius nodded satisfied with his answer but closed James eyes and they both moved upstairs wand in hand.
They arrived to the blown out nursery with baby Harry crying looking at his mother. Lily was lying down in front of Harry's crib and just inside the gate was a robe and white very familiar and deadly wand laying down.
Henry pocketed the wand while Sirius went and picked up harry after closing Lily's eyes and shedding tears. Henry blasted the robe with a vanishing spell and only a dagger was left behind. He pocketed it as well.
Harry was bleeding from his forehead so he asked Sirius to hand harry over to him and he would call his family's Healer back at the manor.
Sirius nodded and Henry called Melon his personal elf and handed Harry over to him to take him back to manor. Elena would take care of him.
They leviated James and Lily's body outside and Henry called Bite and Kite his manor elves to save whatever they could from the wreckage. They were to move everything to the Wildflower Manor in an empty room in basement except any potions or food.
Sirius was mourning his dear friends and mumbling about going after rat. Henry couldn't see Sirius in azkaban again so he stunned him and asked sticked a portkey on him. It would take him back to the manor and he would have few hours to do what was needed.
As he was covering James and Lily's bodies he heard a booking voice asking who was there.
Hagrid had arrived on Dumbledore's order. Now was the time to save harry from whatever was planned for him.
"It's me, James and Lily's Uncle Henry Grey." He replied calmly.
"What are yu doin' here" Hagrid asked coming nearer.
"My alarm spells went off and potter children arrived at my manor tonight by emergency portkey. James and Lily battled and killed voldemort but died after voldemort lost his body in explosion." He narrated the heroic tale of James and Lily to Hagrid.
Hagrid who was guillable and responsible for tales of boy who lived. He needed to nip that at bud.
"Give me children Dumbledore asked me to take them back to Hogwarts." Hagrid demanded but
"Children are getting looked after by our family Healer in my home. You can tell Dumbledore that they are taken care of. I'd meet him tomorrow after making funeral arrangements in leaky caldron." Henry said firmly infusing his voice with magic which made Hagrid back off.
He took out a portkey and went back. Honey transported James and Lily to his manor after a few hours when he was done grieving.
He saw that home was empty of any belongings and sun was almost peaking. He warded the whole site to high heavens and apparated back to his home.
He gulped a pepper up potion which was brewed by Lily and gifted to him with a whole lot of household potion set on his birthday. He called Potter family elves who were taking care of Potter manor and its grounds, 4 elves arrived and they were all in tears. They all had felt their bond with elder potter's breaking and latching on younger children.
Henry instructed them to prepare family crypt and grounds near it for funeral, with heavy heart and tears still flowing the elves went back. Potter manor couldn't be accessed for 2 more years by humans as ritual required atleast 3 years to work, but grounds could be used as required. Lockdown wards were already activated inside the Potter manor and he would need to release the wards around grounds now that he was regent of House of Potter.
He sent an owl to various British publications for an interview a day after the funeral. He needed to clear the rumours as soon as possible.
Funeral would be held on 2 November and interview on 3.
He woke up Sirius who looked ready to bolt and go look for rat. He told Sirius about his plan on capturing the rat. After a calming potion Sirius was ready to listen and accepted that rushing won't be a good idea.
They both donned Black Mourning Robes and left for Leaky caldron, where people were celebrating.
Long due dawn has came after long night of terror.
Seeing both of them a few people deflated but many congratulated them.
Everywhere they saw people were having a cheer in name of Potters. James and grudgingly by many people Lily were being celebrated as most powerful for defeating The dark lord. No one cared about their children. Which was what Henry wanted.
Dumbledore was waiting in a small parlour just at side of counter which was previously booked by Henry for them, Hagrid had already spread the tales of voldemort's demise and hadrid who was looked on as Dumbledore's man was believed was everyone.
Dumbledore looked at them with grave expression and a particularly murderous expression at Sirius to which Sirius surrendered his wand and said
" I wasn't their secret keeper. They switched to Peter about a week ago to throw off the tail from my back. I had very near run ins in last few months with death eaters and they thought Peter who lived with his mother and could hide easily can be trusted. Hell I trusted Peter..."
Sirius went on the tirade which was loud enough due to Henry's sneak spell that more than half the pub heard them. Sirius went on describing what they had arrived to after the Potter children had been portkeyed to Grey family manor in dead of night.
How children were bleeding due to a few cuts they have received while fight and it had activated their portkey to take them away from harm. How after getting free of children at their back, Lily and James had fought and killed Voldemort.
Henry took out Voldemort's broken wand from his pocket and gave it to Dumbledore who looked at him like he was some interesting specimen to dissect. Henry just tightened his sheilds and looked at Sirius.
Then Henry told Dumbledore and half the world gathered outside the parlour door how he had Awoken by arrival of portkeys at his home and tried to communicate potters by the Two way mirrors both families had in their homes. How he had seen and heard them fighting with voldemort and them killing voldemort and then getting killed as voldemort's body got blown up.
How the hell Sirius went along with him he didn't know but by the next day whole the wizarding world knew how His cousin James and his niece Lily had killed the Voldemort.
When he had declared Lily as his niece, Dumbledore had said that she was muggle-born but Henry had shut him down by telling that Lily was daughter of his Squib Sister and her Muggle husband and was atleast half blood from long line of Grey family not some unknown muggleborn.
After that they had left the pub in chaos towards the gringotts, where they had scheduled the public will reading on the day of interview which couldn't be blocked and activated a temporary lockdown on Potter vaults for now and dissolution of all the current keys.
Henry stated that he had enough to support the children till the reached majority but he would handle Potter family affairs in the regency starting in December.
Funeral of Lily and James Potter was as private as any funeral of any Potter family member happened. Not at all. Potters were famous since last 1500 they had made British Isles their home and they were well loved by everyone.
All of the Henry's children and wards were dressed in black and present including baby harry who was still sporting bandages on him and infant holly, held by Petunia who had arrived sans her family after Henry himself have gone to fetch her.
She was silently crying and cooing at holly at same time.
Funeral didn't even hold more than 100 people but these were the people James and Lily were close to or important in wizarding world.
Whole contigent of Hogwarts professors was invited as was the Auror force James had worked closely with. Their friends came in drove, everyone draped in back.
It was a close casket funeral and as time for speeches came Henry sensed a bug near him.
A very familiar bug he captured in an airy glass jar so that it won't die.
Sirius Black who was best man at James wedding just a few years ago gave eulogy and the crowd cried. Remus Lupin, Albus Dumbledore, Head of Auror department Bartimius crouch, minister of magic milicent bugnold also payed their respects.
Henry had to allow 2 reports to attend the funeral by insistence of minister.
Next day all the publications were full of grief and heroic tales of James and Lily Potter. Their children were barely mentioned and they were declared national heroes and martyrs of the country.
Henry arranged interview, semi will reading and rewarding of order of merlin first classes to both of them by ministry in Hogsmede.
All the children with Elena were at home for protection as such a public venue wasn't safe for any of them.
He and sirius told everyone the tale once again and applauded them for their bravery after that a goblin and ministry representative read their will in which they had left custody to Henry and everything to their children.
Minsiter bagnold awarded both James and Lily order of merlin first class and sirius received them with a face full of grief. He would rather have his friends back then these shiny medals.
