"This is it, the day that will decide it all!" Izuku said excitedly as he and his siblings gazed at the front entrance of UA High. It was now time for the Entrance Exam and the triplets were more than excited.
They had finally graduated from Aldera Junior High along with Katsuki and were now ready to face their future as hero hopefuls. Akatani still looked a little nervous as he stared at his feet.
"Do you think we have what it takes, guys?"
Izumi patted her brother on the back. "Relax, 'Tani! I'm sure we'll do fine and if we don't, there's always next year!"
"Yeah, next year..." Akatani gulped as he, Izuku, and Izumi stepped through the gates...and then he tripped over a rock.
"Hello Darkness, my old friend..." The raven-haired boy thought to himself as he awaited his face to meet the cold hard ground...only to find he was floating inches off the ground. At first, he assumed Izuku or Izumi had caught him until he was helped to his feet by a pair of unfamiliar hands.
"Are you okay? Sorry that I used my Quirk on you, I just thought it would be a bad omen if someone tripped on the first day."
Akatani turned to see arguably one of the cutest girls he had seen. She had bright milk chocolate hair in a bobcut, rosy cheeks, a plump but attractive figure, and pink pads on her fingertips.
"U-Um, t-thanks..."
"No problem! I'm Ochako Uraraka, I hope you do well on your exams."
With that, the girl walked into the building as Akatani stared at her before turning to see Izuku and Izumi looking at him, both of them having teasing grins on their faces.
"Please don't say anything..."
"We don't blame you. She's pretty cute!"
The three made it to the auditorium and seated themselves accordingly. Katsuki was also nearby a few seats back, simply having his feet propped up on the railing without a care until the room darkened and a spotlight shined on the main stage, revealing the Voice Hero: Present Mic.
"WHAT'S UP, LITTLE LISTENERS! WELCOME TO THE LIVE SHOW! CAN I GET A 'HEEEEEEEEEY'?!"
"HEEEEEEEEEY!" Izumi cheered before realizing she was the only one doing so and shyly sat back down. Present Mic just smiled and gave her two thumbs-up.
"I LIKE YOU, KID! ANYWAY, I'M GONNA BE TELLING YOU ABOUT THE RULES OF THE ENTRANCE EXAM! PRICK UP YOUR EARS AND LISTEN CLOSELY!"
With that, Present Mic explained the rules of the Entrance Exam; There were three types of Faux Villain Robots worth a different number of points depending on their difficulty level. The examinees were tasked with destroying as many robots as they could with either their Quirks or their wits.
Suddenly, a hand was raised amongst the crowd and a spotlight shined on the owner of said hand; A tall and muscular boy with short navy blue hair and glasses.
"Excuse me, I have a question! On the printed handout, it said that there were FOUR types of enemy robots, not THREE. Surely an esteemed school like UA wouldn't overlook such an error? And more importantly, you!"
Izuku perked up and pointed to himself as the spotlight shined on him.
"Me?"
"Yes, you! You've been muttering through the whole presentation! If you think this is all just some pleasure joint, then please leave!"
"Oy, fuck you, Four Eyes! Deku wasn't muttering shit!" Katsuki barked as he stood up from his seat as Izuku looked at the blonde with gratitude while Izumi and Akatani nodded their heads.
"EASY THERE, LITTLE LISTENERS! I WAS JUST GETTING TO THAT! THE FOURTH ROBOT IS WORTH NO POINTS AT ALL! NADA, ZILCH, ABSOLUTE ZERO! YOU'RE FREE TO SMASH IT UP BUT IT WON'T ADD UP TO YOUR SCORE!"
Present Mic soon finished his explanation and the examinees were all given cards to lead them to different shuttle buses that would take them to different areas of a makeshift city. Izuku, Izumi, and Akatani were all in different zones, Izumi just so happening to be in the same zone as Katsuki.
Akatani looked around the other examinees in his zone nervously, swallowing hard as he scanned all of their Quirks. So far, the ones that interested him the most were a girl with frog-like features, a boy with a rock-shaped head who was talking to some mice, and a girl with pink skin who seemed to be bouncing on the heels of her feet with excitement.
"[Frog], [Anivoice], and [Acid]. Hmmm, those have a lot of potential..." Akatani muttered to himself. He couldn't copy and/or steal other people's Quirks unless he made physical contact with them using his hands and he didn't want to invade their personal space.
He also noticed the boy with glasses who called Izuku out in the auditorium as well as Ochako, the girl who saved him from falling on his face at the front gates. Akatani hummed as he studied their Quirks and nodded his head.
"[Engine]...could that guy be related to Ingenium? And [Zero-Gravity]? That looks pretty cool. Maybe if we get into the same class, I can ask her if I can upgrade it for her..."
Suddenly, Akatani felt a pain in his head when he scanned Ochako. It appeared that she was carrying some kind of bizarre energy inside her that seemed almost ancient. Akatani didn't have time to ponder on what it was as the gates soon opened.
"START! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! HEROES DON'T HAVE COUNTDOWNS! MOVE IT OR LOSE IT, ZYGOTES!"
Akatani gulped and moved through the gates, being followed by the five people he had scanned. The boy with the rock-shaped head called in some birds from the sky to aid him while the girl with pink skin secreted a corrosive white slime that she used to skate on.
In Izuku's area, he had used the [Float-Float Fruit] to reach a higher vantage spot to scope out the entire city. He then used the [Glare-Glare Fruit] to better scan the surroundings before finding his targets and charging his hands with light using the [Glint-Glint Fruit].
Many of the examinees were surprised to see light bolts seemingly falling from the sky and destroying all the robots in their path. A few who were having trouble with the robots they came across were rescued by those same light bolts. A girl with vine-like hair was one such examinee rescued and believed it was divine intervention from God himself.
In Izumi's area, she summoned [Hierophant Green] in order to extend its tentacles all over the makeshift city and get a feel of all the robots around. She then put her move into action.
"EMERALD SPLASH!"
Several emerald crystals were fired, bouncing across all of the tentacles spread out and shredding through multiple robots like swiss cheese. A few students gazed in awe at the sheer destruction going around them while one boy with yellow-blonde hair and a black lightning bolt-shaped fringe couldn't help but realize something.
"HOLY SHIT, IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?!"
"Alright, that should be 25 points. So far, so good." Akatani said, having used one of the Quirks copied from his peers at Aldera to coat his fist in spikes and punch through the chassis of a Three-Pointer Robot.
Unbeknownst to the raven-haired boy, a Two-Pointer was moving to pounce on him from behind when the boy with glasses dashed through it, slicing it in half with an engine-powered kick. Akatani turned to see the boy, who gave him a nod of acknowledgment before running off at speeds faster than a Ferrari race car.
"Crap! I forgot to say thanks!"
Meanwhile, in the monitoring booth, the staff of UA High was watching with interest at all the examinees going to town on the seemingly endless supply of robots.
"We have a fine crop of students this year." Spoke a short rodent-esque humanoid in a nice suit, sipping a cup of tea.
"I gotta say, Toshi, your godchildren are really killing it!" A woman in a bulky spacesuit with metal caps on her fingers said. Toshinori, who was in his true form which was much more skeletal in appearance due to his injuries, nodded proudly.
"I expect nothing less of them."
"I just KNOW they're going to be in my class, aren't they?" Grumbled a man with scruffy black hair and an unshaven face as Present Mic patted him on the back.
"Come on, Shota! Lighten up! They might be pretty good eggs!"
"I know problem children when I see them, Hizashi. You don't need to cheer me up like that."
"Well, it's time to separate the posers from the true heroes...let's see what they think of THIS!" The rodent said as he slapped his paw on a big red button with a zero on it.
Akatani fired a cyclone of wind from his arm, blasting away a One-Pointer robot away from the boy with the rock-shaped head, who gave him a thankful nod before running off. Just as the ruby-eyed boy was about to move out, a tremor echoing across the area made him almost lose his footing.
"W-What's going on?!"
Suddenly, a large shadow gloomed overhead as Akatani turned to see a Kaiju-sized robot with a giant '0' on its chassis. The ravenette gulped as many of the examinees made their way to steer clear from its path.
"Ow...!"
Akatani perked up and soon saw Ochako, buried under rubble and struggling to get out. It was at that moment the boy's reasonings flew out the window and he rushed forward before jumping into the air with a mighty boost.
"[Air Walk] combined with four different Strength-Enhancers mixed with [Bone Spear] and [Hypertropy]..."
Akatani's arm bulked up in mass, spear-like bones protruding from it as red and black lightning echoed off of it as he reared it back with a mighty yell and punched the Zero-Pointer in the face, caving it in and sending it toppling back before Akatani held out his normal hand.
"[Psychokinesis]!"
The Zero-Pointer stopped its descent as Akatani grunted in pain. He wasn't as skilled in handling the Quirk the same way Tatsumaki and Fubuki were and he almost lost his grip but kept it steady.
"I'm NOT my father...I CAN be a Hero! I GOTTA GO PLUS ULTRA!"
Many of the examinees gazed in awe at the feat. The boy with glasses noticed Ochako and moved to help her out of the rubble along with a girl with auburn hair tied in a side ponytail, who enlarged her hands to make clearing the rubble easier.
Akatani yelled as he used all his might and then threw the Zero-Pointer straight into the sky. The force of the telekinetic throw caused the massive robot to leave the atmosphere and fly straight past the moon and sun and into the empty void of deep space.
Izuku, Izumi, and Katsuki had all seen the display from their zones, and the former two couldn't help but feel pride for their adopted brother.
"Akatani, you're so awesome!" The two other Midoriya Siblings said at the same time.
"Damn, Mikumo...when did you get so fucking badass?" Katsuki muttered to himself.
Akatani soon felt the full effects of overexerting himself take hold as his eyes slowly closed and he began falling to the ground like a stone. Before he could splatter on the pavement, he was suddenly caught by a tall muscular boy with spikey brown hair and big lips, who jumped into the air at impressive heights to catch him before grabbing onto the side of a nearby building and climbing down safely.
The other examinees all gathered around Akatani's prone body with concern, unsure if he was even still alive until a short old lady dressed as a nurse and using a syringe-shaped walking stick came in.
"Easy does it, sweeties. Let me handle this."
The Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl gave Akatani a kiss on the cheek, healing all of his injuries and making sure he was 100% okay before moving to heal any injuries the other examinees may have suffered, even giving them special gummies to revitalize their stamina.
Akatani's eyes soon fluttered open as he saw all the examinees in his area looking at him in relief. Moaning in discomfort, he slowly got up.
"Where am I? Please tell me nobody kissed me."
"Does getting kissed to heal you by Recovery Girl count?" Asked the boy with big lips who saved Akatani's life.
It had been a week since the Entrance Exam. Tatsumaki and Fubuki had both definitely grilled Akatani for putting himself in danger like that and that didn't even begin to account for the scolding Inko and Hisashi gave him.
However, it all soon ended with hugs and tears of relief from the entire Midoriya Clan, much to Akatani's embarrassment. Now, the Midoriya Triplets were waiting for the letters from UA to see if they got accepted into the Hero Course or not.
And very soon, they all got a single letter addressed to all three of them. When they opened it, a holographic recording of Toshinori in his All-Might Form showed up.
"BOO-YAH! I AM HERE AS A RECORDING!"
"Uncle Toshi!"
"Izuku, Izumi, Akatani, words cannot express how proud I am of each and every one of you! Not only did you ace the Written Exam with flying colors, but you also showcased true heroism in the Practical Exam as well! You not only destroyed enough robots to net you in the Top 10 but you also helped many of your fellow examinees in the process!"
The recording then showed footage of Izuku, Izumi, and Akatani helping out the other examinees. It then showed a scoreboard and the triplets gasped at what they saw.

The Midoriya Clan Household was filled with massive tears of joy that many people nearby reported massive flooding from the house in question. Needless to say, many Pro Heroes who were close associates of the Midoriyas were unamused when they were called in to investigate.
Next Time: A Test On The First Day?!
I wanted Akatani to be the most prominent in this chapter considering he has the deepest issues, what with being the son of All for One and all. Also, yeah, Katsuki isn't as much of a dick in this story but he'll still be pretty hot-tempered and cocky.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and the fact that I got to include a few guest appearances from some of the Midoriya Triplets' future classmates. See if you can spot them all and name the references that I threw in for good measure.
That's all for today. See you guys soon and stay frosty!
