[The Next Day]
The following day the gang were at their usual table near the Lemon as it was their ritual to do so before they headed off to work at ten A.M sharp as Jen's boss Coach Halder was very strict about her arriving on time.
"So what's is like with the big man coming down from his mountain and watching over you two slackers."said Nicky as she was referring to Jonesy and Jude.
"Not bad. He's mostly in his office all day so I don't have to worry about him breathing down my neck."replied Jonesy as he too a sip of his soda.
"Dude hardly leaves his office for anything other when they get food or go to the bathroom. Heck he doesn't even need to leave for the bathroom since he has his own private bathroom near his office."said Jude who was once again munching on fries as Jude was a bit obsessed with the salty food.
"At least your Wayne wasn't that total pain in your butt yesterday. My Wayne got me in trouble with Tim yesterday by blaming several wrong orders on me when he was busy fox hunting."said Wyatt who threw his fingers in the air for the last part to indicate his sarcasm.
"Wayne still using his binoculars to spy on pretty girls."said Jen with Wyatt nodding his head.
"Gross!"said Caitlin who hated creeps like Wayne...well their Wayne.
"So I've been meaning to ask how's it feel meeting a super hot Rich billionaire."said Nicky with Jen and Caitlin blushing as they realize they were the ones being asked.
"Look I know he's extremely an athletic underneath that expensive suit and he's quite the gentleman but...sorry where was I again."said Jen who realized she spaced out for a second.
"Jen control yourself I mean sure he's rich and handsome and he has this mysterious aura. But we can't be blinded by a handsome guy who's also extremely wealthy."said Caitlin.
"Saids the girl who was practically drooling over him yesterday."said Jonesy resulting in him getting hit by a lemon.
"Shut it!"
"Well at least you guys didn't go to the Khaki Barn yesterday as the clones were obsessed with Mr. Wayne visiting the Khaki Barn."said Nicky who could still hear the annoying noises the clones made yesterday ringing in her ear.
"Let let me guess Wayne Enterprises owns a piece of the khaki Barn too."said Wyatt.
"Twenty five percent which makes Mr Wayne majority shareholder. Chrissy is obsessed with meeting him since she believes that getting on the good side of the majority shareholder will make her manager of the year."
"Wow is there any major business that Bruce Wayne does not own a share of in our Mall?"asked Wyatt as that was already two major businesses deep in the pockets of the millionaire known as Bruce Wayne.
"Hardy. Like I said Wayne Enterprises is a very powerful company. It rivals Lex corp and several other businesses. Heck Burger Mcflipsters is partially owned by Wayne Enterprises as well."said Jonesy who was surprised that Wyatt underestimated the power of billionaires.
"How do you know that?"asked Wyatt.
"I did my research on anything Bruce Wayne when I heard he was coming to the Galleria Mall. If one wants to be set on the path to fame and money you got to know everything about the man who will get you there."replied Jonesy who thought this was obvious.
"Just remember not to do anything illegal as that's what's gone you fired several times."said Nicky as Jonesy has in the past on things considered illegal and it was very lucky he managed to skate with just a warning.
"Hey I may have done things that have been considered... illegal in the past but I swear my schemes are on the up and up this time since last thing I want is to get on his bad side. Man literally has enough power to ruin me for life."said Jonesy.
"Oh yeah I heard that as soon as he returned the Gotham he did a cleanup of his company and every executive in his company who had ties to the Gotham Mafia were purged and permanently blacklisted from ever working a high-paying job again."said Jen who remembered reading about that somewhere.
"Exactly! The man ruined people who had been gaming the system since he was in diapers and made sure they would never work in any major business again. I don't want to be any one of those people as last thing I want is a giant bat coming after me."said Jonesy as his friends began to laugh.
"Wait you actually believe in the Batman! He's just an Urban myth."said Wyatt as soon as he composed himself.
"Then how do you explain most of the Gotham crime families being taken down simultaneously within a few months?"asked Jonesy.
"From what I saw on the news the operations to take down the crime families were spearheaded by commissioner James Gordon of the Gotham Police Department."said Caitlin.
"Yeah but the rumors of a bat creature attacking major operations of the mob has been circulating all throughout the internet. Heck I've seen several videos online of a bad creature flying throughout the night."said Jonesy in his defense.
"I'm on Jonesy's side on this dudes. The Batman is real as after all no one had the nerves to take on the Gotham Mafia until he showed up."said Jude who decided to stick by his best friend as he believed that man was real too.
"Whatever. Even so I heard that two crime bosses got away and that no one knows where they are... now what were their names again."said Nicky who remembered seeing them on the international news a few weeks ago.
"Technically suspected crime boss Rupert Thorne and the guy who calls himself the Black Mask since any photo that exists of the man shows him always wearing a mask that looks like a black skull. I also heard that this boss who calls himself Black Mask and is extremely ruthless."said Wyatt, surprising everyone as they didn't think he would know this information.
"What I saw it on the news and I thought it was interesting so I kept watching. But yeah Thorne and Black Mask were the only crime bosses not indicted as Thorne left Gotham City before the prosecutors office to get enough evidence to indict him and since no one knows Black Mask's real identity it's been hard to arrest and prosecute him, although there are several theories about his identity."said Wyatt before noticing that his friends were all jaw dropped.
"What you guys never watch true crime or read a book about the mafia!"said Wyatt in his defense
"Well I better get going to work this is one of the longest times I held a job and since the pay is so good I intend to keep it."said Jonesy who is had a track record of being fired on the same day he was hired.
"Wait for me dude I don't want to get fired too as I need money right now!"said Jude who honestly did not want to get fired as although he was a slacker by nature he needed money and he knew it.
"Well it's almost time for me to go to work too so I better head out early since Coach Halder will freak if I'm not at the Penalty Box on time."said Jen as her boss has been especially annoying since he knows that the majority shareholder of the company he works for is literally in the same Mall.
"I need to get going to before our Wayne blames me for things I didn't do... again."said Wyatt as he and Nikki got up as Nikki needed to get to work as well.
Meanwhile Caitlin looked around before pulling out her phone and pulling up the photo storage application on her phone to reveal that she had a picture of Bruce Wayne.
"Hehe I hope you come by for a lemonade handsome."said Caitlin as she had a habit of always spying on handsome guys.
Meanwhile on the other side of the mall in Taj Mahome video, the manager is Blade and Christo were attending to the store as a large man into the store.
This man look like he was extremely overweight and appear to be losing his white hair. He wore an expensive black suit but instead of a dress shirt he wore a simple green polo shirt underneath the suit.
He also appear to be followed by several men that look like they were hardened criminals.
"Mr Thorne... how can I help you."said Christo nervously as he was pulled by his shirt by Thorne.
"I'm just here visiting the mall fellas. Now you two both know that your father's owe me a lot of money and I've been kind enough to ignore the debt while I stay here in Toronto. So how about you take me to the back to that private entertainment center and we won't have any trouble."said Thorne in a calm but menacing voice causing the two usually cocky manages to swallow a lump in their throats.
Blade and Christo's fathers had done business with Rupert Thorne in the past and they both owed him a lot of money. Blade and Christo also knew that Mr Thorne was a ruthless crime Boss who wouldn't hesitate for even a second to put them in a drum and throw them into the river with the drums tied to cinder blocks... alive!
"Right this way Mr Thorne."said Blade as Thorne and his associates followed him and Christo to the back room to watch private movies.
"Now one of you go to the food court and get me some pizza and taco's now!"yelled Thorne causing Blade and Christo to quickly run out of the store and head to the food court get the mob bosses food as fast as they could!
They knew all too well what would happen to them if they disobeyed his orders...
