Fairfax County, Virginia. Fall 2042

Autumn released a huge breath, as the last of the morning rush finally slowed to a trickle of customers coming in every now and then. She was a barista at a local coffee and bakery shop and had been working there for slightly over a full year. Autumn had decided to get a job, because she much like her mom had the ambition to have some financial independence for herself. Even though both of her parents were at the higher end of the spectrum when it came to their salaries and the earnings they made from their job and career. And even though she got paid higher allowances than the average teenager or young adult had received from their parents.

She just sought to get a job, because there was something uniquely satisfying about spending her own money, which was made from an actual official job. This particular local coffee and bakery shop that she was currently working at, paid twenty dollars an hour, not bad considering how she saw how low minimum wage used to be, when she had to do a research paper for one of her glasses while she was still in high school. And since she had worked from eight a.m. to four p.m., three to four days a week, she made quite a good chunk of change for herself to spend on what she wanted or needed. And she had been able to work there more after graduating. Plus the coffee and bakery shopped happened to be a black owned business, which was a bonus to Autumn, as the business was doing very well and was very popular with the locals.

Which was why she was glad to be able to take a breather, after the morning rush came through. This coffee shop specialized in serving the top quality brewed coffee, which was served both hot and cold, in various different flavors and forms. The business also served hot or cold tea options for those who desired a different form of caffeine.

Besides coffee and tea, the bakery portion of the business served up doughnuts, bagels, fritters, eclairs, cinnamon buns, crescents, crullers, cookies, and other varieties of pastries and bakery goods. All of which were baked fresh every day. And just like it was every morning, there had been a rush of people coming in to get some coffee and something sweet to have with it for their breakfast, before they headed off to work, or to run errands or to do whatever was on their schedule that had to do for that particular day.

It was now ten o'clock and after two hours of a non-stop steady flow on customers, there was a lull, in which Autumn and her fellow employees took the time to rest some, while they had to prepare for the lunch crowd rush, which usually occurred after eleven thirty. Autumn's eyes scanned the business, which seated about fifty customers at its full capacity, currently there were about ten customers sitting at the tables, on their laptops or other digital devices, sipping on their tea or coffee, as they munched on their bakery goods, while taking advantage of the free wifi. And there were a handful of customers in line. Which was considered slow compared to how busy the coffee shop could get at times.

There were eight either employees, plus the manager/owner of the business who manned the front, where the customers were served. And all were focused on doing different tasks to prep for the next rush to come in. So, Autumn moved on to focusing on her part to help prep for the afternoon rush. Moving over to the coffee machines, she checked them to see which ones needed to be refilled to brew more coffee, as well as seeing what sugars, creams, and other coffee flavors needed restocking.

Just then she was approached by Sidney Maddox.

"Hey, Girl!" Sidney greeted her.

Autumn glanced at her best friend. "Hey, bestie!"

Sidney Maddox, had been Autumn's best friend ever since the two of them were toddlers. They grew up as childhood friends, due to their mother's being co-workers at Aspens Clarke, as their mothers working together had grown into a friendship, which then was passed down to the daughters. Autumn's Mom, Bonnie and Sidney's Mom, Kendra had gotten pregnant around the same time. Which resulted in Autumn and Sidney being born just a couple of months apart, which put them at the same age. Their mother's had always scheduled playdates with each other, that developed into Sidney being the bestest friend Autumn had ever had. Even when she had met other friends throughout the time of her childhood and teenage years, Sidney had always remained her number one best friend. Sidney was someone who Autumn knew she could confide in or tell secrets to, and that Sidney would just offer support, while she kept her secrets.

With Autumn being an only child, she viewed Sidney as more than just a best friend, she viewed Sidney as a sister, even though they weren't at all blood related, they were still as close or even closer than some blood related sisters were. Sidney Maddox was a very beautiful woman, who was dark of skin. She had what Autumn had called many times, flawless melanin, to the point where Autumn had asked Sidney to share her skincare routine with her, which Sidney gladly did. Sidney had gotten the job at the coffee and bakery shop a month or so after Autumn did.

"Need some help?" Sidney questioned her best friend.

Much like Autumn, Sidney viewed their friendship as the number one friendship in her life. She had plenty of other friends, yet none of them would be able to ever top Autumn. Autumn was her girl, someone she considered to be as close to as her blood relatives. And in return she had also viewed Autumn as her sister. She wasn't an only child, as she had a brother named Markcus, who was younger than her by five years. And although she had a nice and loving sibling relationship with Markcus, there was just something different about her friendship with Autumn.

As Markcus being a male, along with being five years younger meant that there were some things she couldn't just connect with, with Markcus, like she could connect to or understand Autumn. She was very confident on how her and Autumn would remain friends for life due to how close they were and their childhood friendship.

So to help out her best friend, Sidney checked the flavors. "Looks like we might need some more caramel sweetener."

"Yeah, I saw that." Autumn commented. "Was just about to get to it."

"I've got it."

Giving Sidney a nod, Autumn moved onto changing out the coffee filters, before replacing them with new ones and scooping coffee grinds into them for fresh coffee to be brewed up.

The two friends worked side by side for a few minutes, before they were approached by Gloria Kline, the black woman who was the manager and owner of Kline's coffee and bakery shop. Gloria's business had developed into one of the most popular locally owned businesses, and because of this she had made more than enough profits to pay her employees a good wage and always treated them with the utmost respect. As she had worked for several nasty managers in her younger days, and had sworn she would treat her employees well and with respect if she ever got to own her own business. Which she ended up doing.

Her business was booming, to the point where it was even featured on a Food Network show a year or so back, which only drove up her business, as both tourists and locals who had watched the Food Network, flocked to her shop after the show had aired. In response, Gloria had given her employees a raise.

"What are you girls doing?" Gloria inquired politely.

"Restocking the flavorings." Was Sidney's answer.

"I'm refilling the coffee machines, while brewing up some fresh coffee." Autumn added.

Gloria gestured. "Why don't you girls go back and assist the bakers making some fresh batches of cookies for the lunch crowd. I'll get Adam Lee to assist me with finishing up what needs to be done here."

Adam Lee was their twenty-two year old Asian male co-worker, who both Autumn and Sidney had a nice, friendly workplace acquaintance with. Gloria valued all of her employees equally, however she did believe Autumn and Sidney to be among her best employees, So therefore she trusted them with other tasks on the job, even though they mostly worked as baristas who served coffee, tea, and bakery goods to customers. One of the things she would have them do from time to time is bake cookies for the afternoon and early evening customers. Even though Gloria herself, along with the bakers who worked for her, were responsible for making and baking all of the other goodies that her business sold.

Autumn and Sidney agreed to make some batches of cookies, then together they headed to the back, where the industrial sized kitchen was. Where four bakers currently were either mixing up or baking various goods and sweets, to replace the bakery items in which the morning rush crowd had bought or eaten.

The two girls went to the walk-in fridge to retrieve all of the ingredients there that they would need to make those cookies. Then they got out the dry ingredients that would be needed to make the cookies. Grabbing big bowls, utensils, spoons and an electric mixture. They proceeded to go to a counter that wasn't being used by the bakers at the moment.

Autumn spoke. "I'll work on the batch of oatmeal raisin."

Sidney put in. "Then I'll work on the chocolate chip, then we can start with the macadamia nut and the snickerdoodle batches once these are in the oven."

"Sounds like a plan." Autumn agreed.

They began mixing the ingredients for the oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies. And had a conversation with each other as they did so.

"It was so busy this morning, at one point we had like sixty customers in the store at the same time." Sidney remarked.

"Yeah, there was a big rush, but it's usually busy here every morning for the first two hours after we open." Autumn observed. "Especially on Fridays and today happens to be Friday."

"I know, I'm saying how it seemed busier than usual even. More customers than we get on average busy mornings."

"Perhaps it had something to do with today being Halloween."

Sidney reached for a bag of chocolate chips to add to her mixture. "Maybe you're correct, I didn't think about Halloween playing a factor in the morning rush."

Autumn started to stir in some of the steel cut oats, which were used for the oatmeal raisin cookies. "I mean Halloween puts some in the mood for something sweet to eat. And they're looking for something to satisfy their sweet tooth besides candy, you know."

Sidney said. "Which means we could be busy here all day long."

"On the up side, the busier that it is, the faster the time goes by." Autumn pointed out.

"I agree with you there." Sidney stated.

They continued to mix their batches of cookies.

Sidney mentioned. "If we're lucky enough time will go by quickly enough for us to get off work, and will be able to avoid that asshole Richard."

Richard was a man around the area, who most of the employees had grown to dislike. Due to how entitled, stuck up, and rude he behaved. There were those occasional customers who took their lattes too seriously or those who were extremely picky about how their coffee drinks were made, to the point where they acted like their drink being made wrong in the slightest way was the end of the world. And those customers who were rude. When it came to a business which had to deal with the public, it was natural for there to be a few who were unpleasant for employees to deal with.

Yet this man Richard, had taken rude, entitled customers up a whole other octave. And Kline's coffee and bakery shop had become one of his favorite places to go recently. Richard was extremely impatient, and would throw a fit if his coffee was served to him even for a few seconds of what he considered to be slow.

He would claim that he had sensitive food allergies, even though he never said specifically what they were and had threatened to sue if he got sick. And would often yell at or berate employees as if they were dirt to him. He was just what everyone would refer to as the customer from hell. And because of this, those who worked at the coffee and bakery shop would dread whenever Richard decided to stop by.

The last time Richard had behaved in one of his entitled blowups, resulted in Gloria standing up for her employees, warning Richard that he would be banned from her place of business if he kept berating her employees, which caused Richard to stomp out in response. They hadn't seen him since, yet there was always a chance that he would decide to show up and be an asshole once again.

"Let's hope that the asshole doesn't show up today or for quite a while." Autumn murmured about Richard.

"Since today is Halloween, are you still planning on going to the party tonight?"

"Of course I'm still planning on going, what about you?"

"Yes, there's no way I'm going to pass up the opportunity to attend the gathering tonight."

The party gathering in which the two friends spoke of, was a Halloween themed party, which was going to be held at the county's main convention center. The party being Halloween themed meant that it was a costume party, for people to dress up in their Halloween costumes and outfits, as whatever they wished to go as. And the party was for eighteen year old or older adults only. And Autumn and Sidney were two eighteen year olds who wanted to jump into the life of privileges that adulthood provided them. Privileges they didn't have just a year ago when they were seventeen.

"So, what are you dressing up as?" Autumn wondered.

Sidney grabbed some baking sheets to place the cookies on. "Me and Brandon, we're going as a zombie super couple. What are you dressing up as?"

Autumn began scoping her cookie mixture onto the baking sheet. "Storm from X-men."

"Can't wait to see how you look as Storm!"

"And I can't wait to see how you and Brandon look as a super zombie couple!"

Sidney grinned. "You still want us to pick you up?"

Autumn had gotten her driver license and she owned a car her Dad had bought for her, but she had discussed with Sidney and Brandon earlier that she would ride with them to the Halloween party, after they had offered to pick her up from her house.

"Yes, I still want you guys to pick me up." Autumn replied.

"Okay, then we'll be there at seven thirty to get you from your house." Sidney returned, the party was supposed to start at eight.

"I'll be ready!" Autumn remarked.

The two girls put their cookies into the oven to be baked, then moved on to mixing the next batch.

Scents filled the downstairs rooms of the Bennett-Salvatore home later that evening. The Bennett-Salvatore residence, was a large three story house, which was made up of grey brick from the outside. It was big enough to be larger than most average sized three story houses, yet not quite big enough to be considered a mansion.

The house had been planned, designed and built up from scratch, as Damon and Bonnie had met with an housing construction company, carefully drawing out the blueprints for exactly what they wanted and wished for in their dream home. As they had, together designed and organized every single inch of the house from foundation to the roof. Each putting their own touches and styles to what they had wanted in the home. It was Damon who had suggested they build a house all their own, instead of having one that was already built or one that already had a pre-planned blueprint or floor design. And Damon who offered to pay whatever the cost was to have their dream style house built. It was his gift to Bonnie and their relationship. And his way of showing just how devoted and dedicated he was to her.

After Bonnie agreed with enthusiasm, she and Damon had spent the last months of their engagement drawing up and discussing what they wanted to be put into the house. Each respecting the other's style or wishes, each compromising until they came up with the perfect blueprint for their home.

Their dream house was built and they moved into it on their one year wedding anniversary and it was where they had lived ever since. And now the kitchen of the Bennett-Salvatore home was filled with the aromas of the Friday evening meal which was cooking.

Bonnie sighed in absolute contemptment as she and Damon got into their regular domestic routine of preparing dinner together. Her heart brimmed with more happiness than she knew what to do with as she thought about the wonderful life she had. She had gained everything for her life that she ever hoped for and much more. She had her husband, Damon whom she loved with momentumental intensity and who loved her with momentumental intensity. She had their daughter they had created together, Autumn whom Bonnie had cherished more than life itself, since the very first day she learned she was carrying Autumn in her womb.

She had this incredible home whom her and Damon shared with their daughter. She had a very successful career, she had made plenty of new friends over the years. She ever had a vastly improved relationship with her mother, Abby in which she developed a mother-daughter bond starting in 2019.

Bonnie didn't think it to be possible for her to be this joyful, delightful life which she was fortunate enough to have. She would have especially found it difficult to believe back in her high school years, if someone would have told her how her life would end up on this spetecurly happy scale. Since her high school years had been filled with such pain and heartache.

And if a person had told her teenage self how Damon Salvatore would play a large role in her happiness, if this person had told her she would be madly in love with him and would wind up united with him in a loving, inseparable marriage which was spanning ehon for two decades now. She would have looked at that person as if they had grown five heads, would have called that person nuts.

Yet, here she was living her incredibly happy and contentful life. Here she was married to Damon Salvatore, the love of her life. She casted a gaze his way, as he put the finishing touches on the Friday evening meal they would be having with Autumn, once she got home from her job at the coffee and bakery shop.

Damon was currently preparing what he had called, "The Salvatore special." Which was when he had twice a month to make and cook up an Italian cuisine from scratch for their family of three. He would switch up the types of Italian dishes in which he made them. Sometimes it would be pasta and meatballs, or spaghetti bolognese, and oftentimes it would be his famous lasagna or several different other Italian dishes.

Yet no matter what the dish was, he had always made it from scratch, while using the best of ingredients, since he insisted how he family deserved the best. Damon was an amazing, devoted husband and an attentive, dedicated father. She remembered how nervous he was leading up the day their daughter was to be born. How he was nervous about not having it in him to be a good father, worried he would screw it up somehow, since his father, Gisueppe had been so neglectful, abusive and horrible to him.

Bonnie had assured him that he would be a great Dad, something Damon had proven her right on the very moment Autumn had been born. He adored Autumn, protected, and reigned her with fatherly love and had assisted Bonnie with all of the parenting duties, in which many men had either neglected to do or left it up to the child's mother to have to do by herself.

She realized how a huge part of her current happiness was because of him. A major turning point in her life had been when she admitted to herself, and to him how she was in love with him. Telling him he was 'the one,'' had been a huge step forward in her life. Agreeing to be with him romantically, was the catalyst to her truly having all she could ever dreamed or hoped for in her life.

Yet fully embracing being in love with Damon, fully embracing entering into a full blown intimate, passionate, committed relationship with him, meant that she had to let go of the other man who had been a part of her love life at one point, Enzo.

Her relationship with Enzo had started off on the thrilling, adrenaline rush of her having some people after her who either wanted to capture or kill her, and Enzo being the one to take it upon herself to hide her. And somewhere in her vulnerable state, she had fallen for Enzo during this time,or had fallen for what he seemed to present to her. Which was a reprieve from the loneliness she was feeling. And the chance not to be alone.

She had become enthralled with the need to have someone who was there for her, Enzo eagerly had put forth the effort to be the person who was there during that moment and time, so she attached herself emotionally to him all she could in her desperation to have the void in her life filled, the void which had been created after Damon had left her to desiccate himself. And she had become enthralled with the idea of what a relationship with Enzo represented to her, which was having someone there in her life to fill the void of her loneliness she was feeling at the time.

She opened up a piece of herself to Enzo due to him being the one who was willing to be there for her at the time. She had clung to him after he assured her that he would never leave her. As Enzo had described it, she and him were two lost abandoned souls who had found each other. And Bonnie had found that to be somewhat romantic at the time, as Enzo was right. They did each have abandonment issues and had taken confrontation with each other due to those abandonment issues.

Yet for as exciting and enthralling as her relationship with Enzo started off as, it realistically wasn't enough of a foundation for a longer termed, committed relationship. The type of circumstances which had made her get with Enzo soon faded away, and with it the limitations of her relationship with the British vampire soon surfaced.

As she discovered herself steadily drifting apart from Enzo, more and more over the months, until one day where she realized she wasn't in love with him anymore or didn't have feelings for him, which had made her get into a romance with him in the first place. This troubled her somewhat, as she didn't quite know how to handle not having those feelings for him anymore.

Some would say she tried to prolong her relationship with Enzo for more than she should have, after realizing how she wasn't feeling him like that anymore. Still due to how Enzo had been there for her at her most vulnerable, she felt obligated to at last give their relationship after chance. Through which she tried to wait it out to see if she could regain the spark and recapture whatever feelings she initially had for him during the start of their relationship. And yet those feelings never returned. That was when she gave herself the strong consideration of having to end the relationship with Enzo as gently as she could.

However, before she could even decide on the correct approach of having to do this, something occurred which speeded up the process of her relationship with Enzo ending. It had all come to a head, during the beginning of 2018. And it had been just a day after News Years.

Enzo had suddenly proposed to her that she moved to London with him. This baffled Bonnie, as it seemed like he had come up with this proposal out of nowhere since he never before mentioned his desire to move to London with her.

She mentioned to him how this idea of them moving to London seemed to come out of nowhere, in which Enzo had stated to her how he had been thinking about it for quite some time. He expressed to her how wished for her to leave Mystic Falls, Virginia, and the United States behind to move over to his home country with him. "New Life, Fresh Start for us." Enzo had put it after expressing these wishes to her.

And when Bonnie had told him about her hesitations of the requirements of moving to a whole other country, when she had more questions for him. Enzo revealed something which had thrown her for a loop. He told her how he had already, without her knowledge or request, had rented out a penthouse for them in London, he told her how he had already brought the two, one way plane tickets for them to fly over to London together. He said how he had been preparing for months for the two of them to move together.

Her green eyes had nearly bugged out of her head from how taken aback she was, asking him why he would make such big moves without her knowledge. Enzo then told her that he wanted it to be a romantic surprise for the New Year, insisting on how the fresh year was the perfect opportunity for her to go to London with him for a fresh start on her life. She then asked when was this move supposed to happen, and nearly choked on the tea she was drinking when he gave her his answer.

Enzo explained to her how the tickets to London were dated just ten days after New Years. Bonnie was caught off guard and flabbergasted on how he would attempt to make such life altering decisions without even so much as discussing it with her or asking her about her opinion before he made such moves. She remarked with exapperation how she couldn't possibly just drop her life and simply move to a whole other country within merely ten days. Moving to another country outside of America, was such a life altering decision for anyone to make, that it would take a person more than ten days to prepare for it. Even if the move was to another Western Civilization country.

Bonnie told him how there was no way that she could move to London just within ten days, she had been working at Aspens Clarke for about eight months at that point, and was really finding her professional groove there. She couldn't just up, quit and leave her job, barely giving them a two weeks notice. Enzo proposed to her how she didn't need to work and how he would take care of all of her needs, if she would move to England with him.

Bonnie countered, stating how she wanted to work, and had enjoyed making money for herself. She didn't work so hard to gain a position in her dream career just to drop it. Enzo then recommended how she could just get a Marketing job over in London. Yet Bonnie had a specific niche at Aspens Clarke. She loved working for that particular Marketing Company and there was no Aspens Clarke location in London. So she let Enzo know there was no way she could or would just drop her career like that.

Then she emphasized how she couldn't possibly just pick up and move to an entirely different country with such short notice, with no time to prepare. Enzo commented how he had spent the last months getting his affairs in order for the move overseas and insisted that he had all of the important details handled, that all she had to do was pack her bags and move to London with him, he even offered to spend the ten days helping her pack all that he could.

She had shook her head, because as nice London, England was for a vacation or a short visit, she had no intentions or motives to pack up her life to live there, not even with or for him. Not just because of her career at Aspens Clarke, but more important because the friends she had in Virginia. She didn't think it would be fair to them for her to move to another country on a short notice. Plus she had those she cared about deeply in which she didn't wish to leave physically behind. Especially not Damon or Caroline.

Enzo wasn't pleased with her turning down his offer to move to London with him, he took offense to her not wanting a fresh life with him in his home country. And took it for a signal of her rejecting him. And because of him feeling this way, the first thing he did after she had turned down his offer was to blame Damon.

Enzo bitterly glowered at her as he confronted her about Damon, saying how her relationship with Damon was the real and only reason why she had refused to go to London with him. He accused Damon of influencing her decision. He accused Damon of trying to come in between the two of them and even had assumed Damon of physically making moves upon her to try to get her to kiss or have sex with him.

Which wasn't at all true, Damon had never verbally expressed anything towards her to try to convince her to leave Enzo. Damon also had never made any sorts of physical romantic or sexual moves upon her and had remained respectful about her relationship with Enzo.

When Bonnie defended Damon from Enzo's accusations against him, Enzo had exploded. Which leads to the two of them getting into a big argument surrounding the subject of Damon. All of Enzo's animosity towards Damon had poured out. And his jealousy towards the bond Bonnie had with the Eldest Salvatore became clear. Enzo actually had the nerve to give her the ultimatum to choose either him or her friendship with Damon. Which Bonnie had responded by telling him she wasn't going to end her friendship with Damon and how he had no right to decide who she could be friends with.

Which made Enzo spew out some venom laced, unflattering and belittling remarks towards her. Needless to say, she hadn't appreciated the way he was berating and talking to her, or the unflattering remarks he had made to her as a person. So she broke up with him, right where they had stood in the middle of that cabin. And angrily yet firmly let him know how she was no longer his girlfriend.

She then quickly packed an afternight bag, leaving a sputtering Enzo behind in his cabin. The night before would be the last time she had ever spent a night with Enzo and it would be the last time she had ever lived with Enzo. They were over for good. Bonnie had packed her bags and had spent the next couple of nights at her old house, which was the house she had lived in with her father, yet never got around to putting it up for sale after he had left it to her in his will. She was glad she hadn't sold it yet since it provided her a place to stay after she had broken up with her boyfriend.

Two days later, she had gone back to the cabin, but it was only to get the rest of her clothes, items, and all of the other things she owned there. She with the help of Caroline gathered up everything to move into her father's home, which had now become her house.

And as she did this, Enzo was there, he attempted to apologize for the remarks he made towards her. Telling her how he had let his abandonment issues get the best of him. However, it was too late, she hadn't liked the side of him in which she had witnessed, and their argument made it clear how the drift between them was too much for her to overcome. She told him how she still couldn't go with him to London, how there was nothing left between them that could keep them romantically linked together, how they were over for good because she didn't love him and didn't wish to be with him anymore. She didn't wish to hurt him, yet she had to be honest and truthful about her feelings.

Of course Enzo was sad and upset when she left him behind in his cabin once more, yet she had to do what she had to do for her. That day was the very last time she had either seen or spoken to Enzo, as he had flown by himself to London just days later. She had not seen him since January 2018, when she broke up with him. So she had no clue as to whether or not he still currently resided in London or elsewhere. Her feeling for Enzo had been sincere, yet they weren't strong enough to last. And despite them not ending on the best of terms, Bonnie wished Enzo no ill will.

Damon was her one, Damon was the love of her life, Damon was the one who she was meant to spend the rest of her days with. And she had no regrets about breaking up with Enzo and eventually ending up with Damon. Because she made the correct decision for her heart, she followed her heart and her heart had been and still was Damon Salvatore.

She was thankful for the life she had with her husband, daughter, family, and friends and wouldn't exchange it for anything in the world.

As if he had felt her eyes on him, he turned his head towards her direction, and her breath caught with his icy blue eyes locked with hers, she still was amazed how he could do that to her, even still after they had been together for a couple of decades now. She kept eye contact with him, gave him a loving smile, in which he gave her a loving smile in return. And for a few moments, they just stared lovingly into each other's eyes, before he broke the contact to continue preparing their meal on the stove.

"Dinner should be ready in a few." He informed her.

"So, should the salad." Bonnie returned her attention to the salad she was making. Every time he had fixed one of their Italian meals, she would make a fresh garden salad for them, which she sometimes either didn't or did include meat in it depending on the mood. This time she had included small cubes of ham into the salad.

Checking on the spaghetti noodles which had been boiling, Damon saw that it was done, he moved it over to the sink to drain the pasta, yet made sure to leave enough pasta water in to ensure that his homemade sauce would stick to the noodles.

As a vampire, he was aware of the fact that he didn't need to eat human food for nutritional needs. Yet still made the effort to cook meals for his family every now and then. And would have dinner with them multiple times per week, because mealtimes were something in which he looked forward to and enjoyed having with his wife and daughter. He had really grown to embrace this domestic life he had with them, to the point where he couldn't imagine living his life any other way now.

Damon asked her. "How was work today?"

As it turned out, her premonition about her career path had come true. She began her career in 2017 at Aspens Clarke and had quickly proven her talents there in the sales department as a staunch worker. She showed up for work on time, putting all the knowledge she had gained through highschool and college into the job. And had steadily gained favor with the higher ups who worked for the company.

Her hard, talented work eventually had her promoted to higher positions within the business. Which began with a promotion that required her to have to switch over to the company's headquarters which resided in the Northern Virginia area. She could still remember how it was to learn of her first promotion. She had been working at the Aspens Clarke location in which was in the next county over outside of Mystic Falls, for two and a half years.

Then her top supervisor of that location, had informed her how pleased the company was with her work. And how they requested her to switch over to a position in their Northern Virginia headquarters. She was asked if she wanted the higher paying position, in which Bonnie said 'of course' as she grinned from ear to ear in her delight.

The promotion required her to move out of Mystic Falls and to a Northern Virginia county, which Bonnie didn't mind doing at all for the pay upgrade she was getting. So, she moved out of the house in which her father had left for her, finally putting it on the market to be sold. Which ended up being brought by a family of four shortly after her real estate agent put it up for sale.

And she moved to Northern VIrginia. Damon, who was with her in a committed relationship for a couple of years by that time, had packed up his own things, moving to Northern Virginia with her and leaving the boarding house for Stefan and Caroline to live in by themselves.

Throughout the years, Bonnie had continued her asendition through the positions and rankings at Aspens Clarke. She worked hard and remained focused. Which currently had led to her presently having one of the top five positions at Aspens Clarke. And her ladder climb through the business had her now being worth an impressive seventy million dollars per year. As she thought to herself, she had gained everything in her life that she could ever wish or dream of.

Bonnie answered her husband's question. "Work today was fine, mostly wrapping up everything for the week since today is Friday."

Damon opened the oven to check on the garlic bread, pulled it out with an oven mitt. "Wrapping it up included?"

She explained. "Just a bunch of board meetings and me having a teleconference with one of our clients who lives in California."

"I see."

"Oh and I made calls to make sure that our new product gets released on time which is supposed to be next month."

"And just what is this new product your company is releasing?"

"The newest virtual reality gaming system, which is more realistic than ever and will make gamers feel like they're actually inside of the game, playing the roles of various video game characters of games that's going to be released on the system."

Damon whistled. "Sounds neat."

"It is. We at Aspens Clarke wants to make sure that it gets released on time, that way it will be out just in time for Christmas."

Damon chuckled "Today is Halloween and people are already starting to think about Christmas."

She added more fresh vegetables to the salad. "Well, it's never too early to discuss and focus on Christmas in the world of the Marketing Business or retail."

"True, I'm sure that many kids and teens will be clamouring to their parents to get this new gaming system for them for Christmas."

Bonnie winked. "Which is exactly what we're counting on. Also there will be plenty of adults with their own money who are going to buy the new virtual gaming system."

"I'm sure it was your idea to have the system released in November of this year instead of sooner or later."

"How do you figure that out?"

He returned her wink. "Because my wife is a genius who worked her way up to the top position at Aspens Clarke with her smarts."

This time Bonnie chuckled, he was constantly complimenting her in different ways. "You're right, it was my idea to have the system released this November."

Damon kept tending to prepping their meal.

"So, my husband, how was your work today?"

He had a soft spot for her when she would refer to him as her husband. "Pretty good, made some excellent profits bartending today, many people buy more drinks when they know that they have the next day off from work on Saturday."

One day Damon had made the decision to invest in something which he had the expertise in and a love for, alcoholic drinks. He always had the knowledge about drink mixing, alcoholic days and everything related to the bartending business, yet never got around to doing something about it.

Until one day he was inspired to run and own his own bar, where he would be the head bartender. So he took his expertise and set out on a mission to do all he could in order to own and have his own business. And on his mission, he had found a business partner who was equally interested in running a business relating to the drink and food industry.

So, Damon along with his new business partner, together put their money into building and opening up this business which they would own together. The business partner Damon had made a deal with, was interested in the restaurant side of the business, so they decided to open up a bar which would also serve food to the patrons who the place would attract.

Damon's partner was Stone Madison and they called their business, 'S&M Bar and Restaurant.' The S&M, are the initials for Salvatore and Madison. Damon mostly was in charge of the bar and the baretending side of S&M, while Stone saw to the restaurant parts, even though he would help Damon with the bartending at times.

The bar served the best brand name and top quality drinks, while the restaurant served casual dining style food. Over the years S&M thrived and was so successful that Damon and Stone had opened up four other locations in D.C, Maryland, and Virginia. Otherwise proudly called the "DMV" by the residents who reside in the area.

Damon primarily worked at the Fairfax County location, although he and Stone would drive to the other locations to make sure that things were running properly. The thing he liked about owning his own business, was how he was in control of setting up his own hours.

Bonnie commented. "Makes me happy when your bar and restaurant has a successful day in sales."

"Me too," Damon concurred. "Would say we managed to pull in a few thousand dollars, before my shift ended today and there's still night to go, business always does well on Friday nights into the weekends at S&M."

"Awesome!"

"You know the new location we're going to open up?"

"The one outside in Baltimore?"

Damon nodded. "Stone and I just got the final steps in the process needed to open up our new location. So S&M in Baltimore will be opened by mid 2043."

"Are you excited for that?" Bonnie questioned.

"Very and so is Stone." Damon stated.

She smiled at him with acknowledgement. Stone had been a trustworthy business partner for Damon and in doing so became a good friend for her husband to have.

"This would make it our sixth location in total. We don't plan on becoming "as big as McDonalds, or any of those franchises with thousands of locations around the world. But, we do plan on expanding just slightly more, we'll stop at a certain number of locations just to ensure S&M can maintain a certain quality and policy." Damon said conversationally.

"I know what you mean."

They continued to put in the finishing touches to their dinner.

"You know about the black tie event we're supposed to attend on this upcoming Monday night?" Bonnie inquired.

"Yep." Damon popped the p.

"Well, Kendra told me today at work how she and Wells would be going too."

Wells and Kendra Maddox, were married to each other and we're the parents of Sidney and Markcus Maddox. Kendra was a co-worker who had risen throughout Aspens Clarke much in the same way that Bonnie had. Kendra had turned into Bonnie's friend, which was how their daughters wound up being such close friends. Sometimes Damon and Bonnie had gone out on double dates with Wells and Kendra.

"There's another couple who is going to be there too, one who doesn't live in Virginia." Damon commented.

"Who?" Bonnie wondered.

"Guess,"

"Give me a hint at least."

"They live in a city famous for Mardi Gras." Damon hinted.

Bonnie raised both eyebrows. "Klaus?"

Damon confirmed. "Yeah him."

Bonnie popped a sliced carrot into her mouth. "Klaus is coming with Camille."

"From what I've heard, yes."

"Interesting, we haven't seen Klaus since we visited New Orleans the last time, do you know why they're coming?"

"No clue, just that Klaus is planning on attending the black tie event and that Camille is going to be with him." Damon mentioned.

"Maybe we'll find out why he's there on Monday night."

"Maybe."

Just then, Autumn entered the kitchen. "Hello, Mom and Dad."

"Hello, Autumn!: Bonnie exclaimed. "Welcome Home!"

"Made it home just in time for dinner" Damon added.

Autumn sniffed the air. "Which smells like a famous Salvatore Special, what are we having?"

"Chicken Parmesan!" Damon exclaimed.

"And a salad with garlic bread." Stated Bonnie.

"Sounds delicious, all I've eaten today is a bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee, which was around my break time at work." Autumn expressed rubbing her belly as the scents of the kitchen made it growl.

Damon glanced at her. "Then you should eat up well."

Bonnie directed. "Right, before you attend the Halloween party you're going to go to tonight."

Autumn pointed out. "Yeah, Sidney and Brandon are going to pick me up at seven thirty."

Bonnie gestured. "Then, we should eat now to allow you to get ready in time."

"Everything is set, we just have to serve up the food." Damon waved a hand to the Italian crusted chicken he had pulled from the oven, which was covered in homemade pasta sauce and cheese.

"Well, do." Bonnie made a move to get out some bowls to serve the salad in.

"Oh, Mom."

"Yes, Autumn?"

Autumn held up a small paper bag. "Brought you home some bagels from the shop, they were made just an hour before I got off, so they're pretty fresh."

"Thank You, babygirl!" 'Babygirl ' had been the endearing nickname Bonnie had given to her since she held her in her arms after birth and the name she still would call her by with motherly love even as her child was now all grown.

Autumn didn't mind at all, since it made her feel how much her Mom cherished her. "You're welcome, Mom.

Bonnie jerked her head to the side. "Just place it over there by the fruit bowl."

Autumn did as her Mom requested, then took off her work apron and laid it across the back on the chair she always sat at when ate family meals together at the table. Then she proceeded to go over and wash her hands, as her parents plated and bowled up the food.

Damon took the plates he had filled with chicken parmesan and pasta over to their place settings, as Bonnie did the same with the salad. Autumn went over to the fridge where she grabbed the salad dressing.

Damon called out. "Grab us some blood."

So Autumn reached into the fridge compartment where her and her Dad's stock of blood bags was kept and she grabbed a couple of blood bags. Took them over to the cabinet where she retrieved two microwave proof eight ounce cups. She ripped an opening in the blood bags and poured the blood into the cups.

Then placed them in the microwave to heat up. As a hybrid, Autumn was someone who enjoyed both blood and human food equally. Consuming blood was essential to her keeping up her strength and was something she needed to avoid desiccating or turning into a shrinked up prune.

And while she could technically be able to survive on blood alone if she had to, her body did get some nutritional value and benefits from human food. Besides enjoying the taste of human food, the witch side of her had gained benefits whenever she decided she was in the mood to eat human food.

Human food helped her keep up her energy for her magic spells and incantations. And it provided a boost to her powers as a witch, in similar ways where a child having breakfast before school helped them better focus on learning for the day. Human food also made her concentrate better.

Her body benefited from both the vampire diet of blood and the normal diet in which humans ate. Which was why she often would consume both in the same meal sitting.

The microwave beeped, signaling that the blood for herself and her Dad was finished heating up. Autumn grabbed the two cups, took them over to the table, where her parents were already seated. She placed one cup next to her Dad.

"Thanks, Autumn."

"Welcome, Dad."

Taking her cup of blood with her, Autumn took a seat in front of the bowl of salad and chicken parmesan her parents had put in her spot. She pondered whether or not she wanted something else to drink. As she would at times have water, lemonade, juice, soda, or tea alongside her cup of blood. Yet decided she was fine with the cup of blood as her drink of choice for the meal.

Bonnie had chosen sweet tea as her drink of choice for the meal, not bothered at all by the slight smell of blood coming from her husband's and daughter's cups. As she had grown used to it by now and fully accepted, supported their vampirism.

As a family rule, the Bennett-Salvatore household of three always made sure to have these family dinners together. Where they wouldn't bring their phones or other electronic devices as a distraction. Where they would talk with each other and bond over the things people could often bond over when sharing a meal together. This partly how they kept up their tight knit family togetherness.

Whether it was them having a home cooked meal, or carryout, takeout out, delivery whenever someone wasn't in the mood to stand over the stove for that day to cook, the rule remained the same. And it was just to sit at the table, having a meal together like a family should have. Which had become more of a lost art ever since computer, internet, and phone technologies advanced to the levels they had advanced to.

They used to have dinners together for five days out of the week, while Autumn was growing up. As she got older, that dwindled down to about two or three days per week during the weekday, whether that was because of Damon and Bonnie going out for more romantic dinners together during the weekday, or Autumn hanging out with her friends on some evenings, or Autumn sometimes having her dinners up in her room.

Yet they still made time to have dinners together at this table, for at least a few times per week. As they were doing now. The family of three ate their meal, as they conversationally discussed the typical things a close family discussed with each other.

Soon enough, they were finished eating their meal. Bonnie got up to gather the dishes from around the table.

Autumn held up a hand. "Leave those to me, I've got them."

Bonnie questioned. "You sure?"

Autumn assured. "Yeah, I'm sure. Since you guys fixed dinner, I'll handle washing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen."

Glancing at his watch, Damon put in. "You're going to be ready in enough time for your friends to pick you up?"

"Trust me, I've got this all handled. You two just relax." Autumn's curved her mouth upwards. "I'll clean everything up and will still be ready in time to go to the party."

Bonnie nodded. "Alright then we appreciate you cleaning up in here."

Autumn stated. "No problem."

Damon jerked his thumb over his shoulder. "Your mother and I will be in the living room if you need anything."

"Okay." Said Autumn.

Together, her Mom and Dad exited out of the kitchen. Autumn chugged down the rest of her cup of blood, then stood from the table preparing to get to the task of cleaning up.

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Autumn managed to put the leftover food away, wash all of the pots, plates, bowls, and other dishes they had used during dinner and had cleaned and wiped down the kitchen, all in a decent amount of time. In large part due to how she used her vamp speed to quicken the process. And she still had enough time left over to get herself in gear for the Halloween party she was going to with her friends.

Autumn climbed the stairs and walked down the hallway to where her room was. Her room was a good size, looking much like a bedroom that people would expect a young adult's bedroom to look like in it's style.

In her bedroom, she had her own TV, with the latest playstations and XBox systems, she had her own computer, and she had her own bathroom which was connected to her bedroom. Having her own bathroom to herself, apart from her parents or any other guest who would visit the house was always nice.

On the walls of her bedroom were posters of the Dragon Ball Z characters, Goku, Trunks, Vegeta and Piccolo. With Trunks being her favorite Dragon Ball Z character out of them all.

She had seen one episode of Dragon Ball back when she was eight years old, which was all it took for her to become hooked to the series. She soon became a fanatic, and had eventually received the entire Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series on DVD as a gift from her parents as a Christmas gift when she was nine years old. She remembered how she sat down and binge watched the series on that day, much to the amusement of her Dad and Mom.

Since then, she had watched the series several times over and never grew tired of it. She even made it her hobby to collect Dragon Ball Action figures. And was still collecting them to this day, to the point where her bedroom had its own display case of the action figures she had collected over the years.

Shutting the door to her bedroom, Autumn turned to see her cat rise from where it had been sleeping on her bed, the cat then made it's way over to her, greeting her by winding it's body through her legs.

Her cat, who was a male, black in appearance, had been her pet for several years now. He was a spray kitten who was abandoned. He had approached her one day while she was outside, looking frail, hungry, in the need of care and cute as a button. And Autumn couldn't find it in her to just ignore or walk away from him.

So, she had pleaded with her Mom and Dad to let her have the kitten. After discussing it with each other, they said that they would allow her to keep the kitten for as long as she took the responsibility to take care of it and treat it well. Something which Autumn agreed to do.

They took the cat to the vet, then Autumn had fed it, nursing it back to a healthy weight. And now this cat was a part of the family household. Autumn bent down and rubbed her fingers on her cat's head.

"Hi, there, Ryder!"

Ryder purred with affection towards his owner.

Autumn then went into the bathroom, where she brushed her teeth, then rinsed her mouth out with mouthwash. She took off her work clothes and threw them in the dirty clothes hamper to be washed over the weekend.

Then she got dressed in her Storm Halloween outfit. After about ten minutes, she had gone from looking like her normal self, to looking like a top tier cosplay of the XMen character who had the power to control the weather. She put on the whitish-grey wig, then carefully applied the white contacts to her eyes. She checked herself out in the mirror. And thought that she did a rather good job on her outfit, including the make up she had applied to give her presence the feel of the XMen character.

Autumn turned her attention back towards Ryder, who had retaken his position on the top of her bed.

"What do you think?" She asked her cat.

Ryder meowed in approval.

"Cool." Autumn said see if she had understood his meow. "But, let's see how the rest of the household feels."

She grabbed a small handbag, one that matched her Halloween outfit and headed downstairs, into the living room, where her parents were sitting next to each other on the couch, watching TV.

They both switched their attention over to her.

"Well?" Autumn held her hands outwards on both sides of her.

"Wow, you look amazing." Bonnie directed towards her.

Damon gave her a thumbs up. "Totally like you could spawn a tornado any moment now."

Autumn grinned. "I tried by best to look as close to the character as possible."

"And you did an excellent job of it, Scout!" Damon remarked like a proud father.

"So, do you two want me to be back by a certain time?" Autumn wondered.

Bonnie shook her head. "Not really, you're an legal adult now, so we won't be giving you many curfews."

Damon added. "We just ask for you to remain safe and smart."

Autumn returned. "Of course."

Just then there was a honk of a car that came from outside.

"That's Sidney and Brandon, I'm going now." Autumn let them know.

"Have fun!" Bonnie exclaimed towards her.

"Yes, go out and have a very good time." Said Damon.

"I will!" Autumn jogged to the front door. "See, you later!"

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Damon and Bonnie had remained on the couch for a little while longer after Autumn had left to go to the Halloween party. And now it was slightly past eight as they flipped through the TV to try and find something to watch which would peak her interests.

"What should we do since we have the house to ourselves for a few hours tonight?" Bonnie asked her husband.

"Don't know, there's not that much to watch on TV during a Friday night at this hour." Damon responded.

"You know, just remembered that Netflix released a new episode of 'Beyond Earth'."

"They did?"

"Yes, they did, I meant to tell you yesterday, then work related things got on my mind."

Damon clutched the TV remote in his hand. "Been looking forward to the new episode since last week."

"Me too." Agreed Bonnie. "Especially with the cliffhanger the last released episode left off with."

'Beyond Earth', was a rather entertaining, tantalizing show streaming on Netflix, about a group of characters on a massive spaceship, traveling through the Milky Way Galaxy from Solar system to Solar system, on different planets. Or in some episodes they would spend most of their time on the spaceship. There was everything on the show from drama to romance, action and adventure.

It was one of the most top streamed shows in 2042. And had a large social media following of millions of fans, that would trend on twitter everytime a new episode came on. There was even a bit of a ship war brewing between the two fandoms of the shows mainly featured love triangles.

Damon mentioned. "Oh, I brought you some of that brownie fudge ice cream on my way home today."

Bonnie perked up. "You did!"

Damon confirmed. "A whole new container in the freezer."

Bonnie touched a hand to her chest. "You always seem to read my mind, I was craving brownie fudge ice cream today at work."

"As I'm stated countless times, I do know my wife." Damon placed down the remote. "We could watch the newest episode of Beyond Earth, while eating your favorite ice cream."

"We could do that." Bonnie tapped her chin.

"We could." Damon pursed her lips.

"Or."

"Or?"

"Or!" Bonnie implied suggestively.

"Or." He casted a gaze her way.

She gave him a look which let him know how she was interested in an activity which would be much more physically intimate than either watching a Netflix show or eating ice cream could me.

And upon seeing the look in her eyes, Damon's pupils darkened. "If that's what you're in the mood for."

She traced his bottom lip with her finger hotly saying. "Yes, that's what I'm in the mood for, as you as you're in the mood."

He told her in a sexy tone. "You know I'm always in the mood for you."

She got to her feet. "Then I guess we better not waste anymore time!"

Damon clicked off the living room TV. "Lead the way, Bon-Bon!"

With those words, she took off upstairs for their master bedroom, with Damon closely behind her giving chase. As they both fondly recalled their very first time together.

Mystic Falls, Virginia Mid-October 2018.

She hadn't seen it coming, as she had her guard down. Even with her taking the precautions to be extra careful and pay attention to her surroundings, she hadn't seen it coming. And no one would have expected for her to, since the very person who caught her off guard had been a neighbor of her who had lived down the street from her father's house since she was a kid.

She had seen him plenty of times riding up and down the neighborhood on his bike when he was a kid, where he family had lived down the block from where she had lived with her Dad. This neighborhood had even gone to the same Mystic Falls High School she had attended, he had just graduated a year earlier than she did.

So, when she was in her backyard, reading her book, to catch the last daylight before the sun went down. She thought nothing of it, when Todd Delaney approached her in the backyard. Especially not when he appeared to be just a typical friendly neighbor interested in having a talk.

It wasn't until Todd Delaney had gotten close to her, close enough where he reached out, touched her and had pricked her arm with something that she knew of his ulterior motives and ill will.

The prick felt like a bee sting, and before she could respond or ask Todd what he had done, her body started to react in a negative fashion to whenever he had pricked her with. Her vision blurred, her head felt dizzy, and her muscles went limp.

Todd got her to her feet, walked her off of her back porch, proceeded to put his arm around her shoulder and walked her around to the side area of her yard. She tried resisting going with him, however she was too weakened, subdued to really resist, as whatever he had pricked her with left her with little control over her body motions. Her feet seemed to move against their own will.

Soon, they were in her front yard, with Todd by her side, his arm still over her shoulder, guiding her to where his red pick up truck was. Any of the other neighbors who were happening to look in their direction from a distance, wouldn't think much was going wrong and wouldn't be alerted as to the fact of Bonnie being led to the pick up truck against her will. From the way it looked, they were just two friendly neighbors, having a chat and going for a ride together in Todd's truck.

Since Todd lived there, he must have realized this beforehand and planned accordingly to kidnap her, without raising alarm from the neighbors. Her vision grew more blurred and her muscles more limp as she opened the passenger's side door to the truck, shoving her inside. He shut it, then quickly went around to the driver's side of his truck. And by the time Todd had started his truck and pulled out of the neighborhood, she had passed out.

When she opened her eyes next, blinked and looked around. She immediately realized how she was in a room in which she didn't recognize. In a building or home where she had never been in before. She sat upright, halfway slouched on a hard, pew style bench, with her head still swimming with the substance Todd had pricked her with.

She blinked more until her blurry vision cleared. "Where am I?"

"Oh, you've woken, I tried not to give you too much of the stuff." Came a southern accent.

Bonnie looked to the left of her, the accent was the voice of Todd, the one who had dragged her to this place. Then she felt how someone else was sitting next to her, on her other side and saw that it was Todd's brother, Buzz.

Other than Todd and Buzz, there were multiple other men in the room or area inside, men who she either didn't know the name of or whose faces she didn't recognize. Panic and terror gripped Bonnie as she dawned on her the situation she was in. She had been drugged, kidnapped and taken to that strange, unknown place where she was now alone with a group of mine.

Todd saw the fear in her face. "Relax, we ain't brought ya here to rape you or nothing like that."

"Why did you kidnap me?" Her mouth was dry as she swallowed. "Why did you bring me here, to wherever this is?"

Todd drawled. "We ain't interested in you, as much as we need you for bait."

Bonnie grew confused. "Bait? I don't understand."

Todd rolled his eyes, as if the answer should be obvious. "For the one who is always visiting your house all hours of the day and night in recent months."

She thought about the visitors she had to her house, ever since she had been living in it during the last ten months. Her friends had visited her there, from Matt, to Stefan and Caroline. Yet the one who had hung out with her there the most was Damon. Damon had sometimes even spent the night over at her place. And for some reason, Todd was keeping a close eye on the times Damon had gone over to her house.

As she had hung out at the boarding house an equal amount of times, either spending time there with Damon, Caroline or both.

"How is it any of your concern, who I have over at my house?" Bonnie frowned.

"We have legitimate reasons to be concerned about that man who you have so often over there." Todd drawled once more. "And so should you."

Bonnie shifted uncomfortably in her seat, still feeling slightly dizzy as she questioned in her mind what Todd meant by the last part he had said.

"Hold still now." Todd clasped a hand on her shoulder. "Everything will be fine for you, as long as you cooperate with us. Now to get onto the part where we use you as bait."

Watching as Todd displayed her phone, she knew that he must have gotten it out of the pocket of her jacket while she was passed out. Todd then scrolled through her contacts, until he came upon Damon's name. He pressed the number to dial.

Todd cackled. "Putting it on speaker phone so you can hear."

Damon answered his phone, believing it was her since he had her number in his contacts, on his caller ID. "Bon, was just about to call you." The vampire had a cheerful voice.

"This ain't no damn Bon." Todd rattled.

Bonnie could hear Damon's voice and his reactions due to her phone being put on speaker.

"Who the fuck is this?" Damon's tone switched from cheerful, to being full of suspicion and alarm.

"You can find out soon enough if you listen to my commands." Said Todd.

"How in the hell did you get Bonnie's phone?" Damon questioned.

"Because she is right here with us." Todd crowed into the phone. "And you'd need to listen unless you want something bad to happen to her."

"If you hurt her…" Damon's tone was now angered, filled with rage as he connected the dots, his witch was obviously in a dire situation or being held against her will from this man he was speaking to over her phone.

Todd interrupted. "Don't threaten me, Damon Salvatore. Or else I'll push my butcher knife deep into the chest of your piece we have here, right in the center of her pretty heart."

Those words sent a shiver of fear up Bonnie's spine.

"What do you want from me?" The blue eyed vampire now sounded very concerned about Bonnie's well being, on top of the extreme anger he was already feeling.

"We want you to come here to see us, face to face. Our problem is with you and not her. However, if you refuse to show yourself, then it won't end too well for your piece we have here."

"Let me hear her voice so I know you're not bullshitting me."

"Fair enough." Todd nudged Bonnie with his elbow. "Speak."

"Damon." Bonnie croaked, her voice raspy from the substance Todd had used on her.

Damon's alarmed voice rang through the speaker. "Bonnie? Are you okay?"

Buzz clasped a hand over her mouth so she couldn't answer.

"Then the only way she is going to remain okay is for you to get your butt over here. Her for you, your choice Damon Salvatore." Todd rumbled loudly.

"Fine, I'll do what you say, just as long as you don't hurt her." Damon conformed to the demands.

"Smart of ya." Todd mocked.

"Where do you want me to go?"

Bonnie could hear Damon's barely controlled anger in the question.

Todd gave out the address of the location on the phone, then added this warning. "Oh and Damon Salvatore. You'd better come alone, if you try to bring anyone else as back up, such as the cops, or that brother of yours, I'll plunge my butcher knife so deep into the chest that she'll be crying tears of blood."

With that Todd ended the phone call. "Now all we have to do is wait, he should be over there right quick."

"Why are you doing this, Todd?" Bonnie asked in bewildered disgust.

"Because kidnapping you was the only way I could get him over here and where I want him." Responded Todd.

"I mean why are you using me to get to Damon?" She questioned. "What did he do to you?"

"Me directly? He did nothing against me."

"And yet, you kidnap, drug me, bring me here, and threaten to hurt me due to some vendetta that you have against him."

"I drugged ya only because I needed a way to get you here, without causing you much physical harm. I knew that you wouldn't have gone with me willingly, or would have resisted, which would have made me have to get rougher with ya to get you where I wanted you. And besides, I already told ya we aren't gonna hurt ya."

Bonnie was incensed. "You just threatened to drive a butcher knife into my heart."

Todd waved a hand in dismissal. "Well, Golly how do you expect me to get Damon Salvatore over here, unless he really believes that we're going to kill ya, if he doesn't listen?"

"So your threats to kill me are only a bluff?"

"As long as he doesn't believe that it's a bluff. As I said, sweetie, our problem is not with you."

From the sound of his voice, Bonnie could tell how Todd, Buzz and this group of men wished ill will upon Damon. And that them drawing him here could turn into a very ugly situation for Damon. Because of this, she tried reasoning with Todd.

"Whatever your plans are against Damon, you don't have to do this. You can reconsider."

"No, I ain't reconsidering anything, now just wait for him to come in save you."

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

He had broken the speed limit to get where the man with the southern accent had ordered him to go. He felt fright and extreme worry clutch his heart once he realized Bonnie had been kidnapped and that she was in danger. And he had taken the man's threats seriously, so when the man had ordered him to meet up with him at a specific location, or else Bonnie would be potentially killed, Damon didn't hesitate to drive to where the man ordered him to go.

He thought about calling Stefan for back up, since he didn't know exactly what situation he was walking into, yet decided against it, as he didn't want to risk the man causing her severe harm once he saw that Stefan had come along. So Damon did as the man told him and he came alone.

Now, he had pulled up onto the location he was given to drive to, it was an old fifty acre farm, stepping out of his camaro, Damon saw the building in which the man had Bonnie in, from the outside, it looked like a country version of some fraternity house.

The first thing that Damon noticed was how it wasn't just one man who had abducted Bonnie, now holding her hostage. Yet it was a group of men. Four men stood outside of the fraternity style house, holding what appeared to be vervain guns. It was obvious to Damon that they were waiting for it.

Damon approached them with slow caution, holding up his hands in surrender.

Each of them trained their vervain guns on him.

He eyed each of them with an icy glare, before landing on the one in the middle. "Where is she?"

"Right this way." The one in the middle said. He put his gun in its holster. And got out a wooden stake. "Search him."

A couple of the others patted him down, to make sure he wasn't carrying any weapons. "He's clean."

"Follow us." The man in the middle moved around until he was at Damon's back. "And don't try any funny business."

Feeling the middle man press the tip of the stake in his back as a warning, Damon did as he was told and followed the men inside of the house. The inside of the house was a few decades old, made obvious by the wallpaper which was peeling in the walls.

He followed the men through the old fashioned foyer, into a short narrow hallway, and into an open room, which was where he spotted Bonnie, he could see that there were several other men who were gathered in the room. Most of them look like rednecks or the backyard types.

From counting them in his head, there were about seventeen men in the room total, other than himself. Who all appeared to be a membership or organization of some kind, he knew of Todd and Buzz Delaney from their faces. The other guys in the room, not so much.

Bonnie sat on a wooden bench, sandwiched between Todd and Buzz Delaney. Damon could see the discomfort and unease in her demeanor. He looked her in her eyes, silently communicating with her, trying to reassure her how everything would be okay.

Reading the communication in his eyes, she silently communicated back with a slight nod of her head.

"Knew that you would show up." Todd spoke towards Damon.

Damon shifted his eyes turning over to Todd, his expression turning deadly. "I'm here now, tell me what your issue with me is."

Todd droned. "My, our issue with you is exactly because of what you are, you disgusting piece of filth."

Damon narrowed his eyes. "You're going to have to be more specific."

"This group here, we're proud members of H.S.A.S." Todd replied.

"What's H.S.A.S?" Bonnie asked in confusion before Damon could raise the question.

"Humans Standing Against Supes." answered Buzz.

"You see, we know that there's beings out there who aren't normal. Beings who were created against the acts of God. Those amongst us who aren't normal like you vampyr." Todd pointed at Damon.

Damon sneered. "So you're vampire hunters."

Todd corrected. "Supernatural hunters, hence the term "Against Supes." We put this membership together to hunt down all sorts of those who go against the laws of nature. Vamps, weres, witches, you name them."

"And you wish to do me harm because you've figured out that I'm a vampire." Damon guessed.

"That's right, you blood sucking piece of filth we're going to clean up this world of all which isn't normal. Starting with the vampyrs since you all are the biggest threats to humankind." Todd stated.

Again, Damon communicated to Bonnie with his eyes, he could see the concern reflected in her eyes and could think that she was thinking and feeling the same in which he was.

He wasn't too sure whether or not they were aware of the fact that Bonnie was a witch. He hoped that they didn't. Yet decided to test them out some.

"Fine, you have a bone to pick with me because you see me as a filthy blood sucker, then why did you kidnap Bonnie?" Damon glowered at Todd.

"Same way I told her." Todd snarled. "You wouldn't have come if I hadn't given you an incentive to come. I knew Ms Bennett would be since you are always at her house for all hours."

"And I showed up like you wanted me to." Damon snipped out.

"You sure enough did." Todd Said.

"She doesn't have anything to do with me being a vampire." Damon's tone was increasingly growing impatient.

"I guess not, since she ain't the one who turned ya."

Feeling the biggest urge to reach out and wring Todd by the neck, yet knowing that he couldn't do it, Damon spoke through gritted teeth. "Then let her go."

Todd played stupid. "What?"

Damon expressed through a glare. "You kidnapped her, because you wished to put me in a situation where I'll exchange myself for her freedom, I'll do that just as long as you allow her to escape unharmed."

"All depends on your cooperation." Todd leered.

"I'm cooperating, am I." Snapped Damon.

"You'd better, because if you don't, this goes right into her chest, blade deep." Todd patted the butcher knife which rested on his lap.

Damon's jaw flexed in fury. "What would you have me do?"

Todd demanded. "You give yourself up without a fight, with the understanding that we'll execute ya, to make ya the example in the war we're going to start against vampyrs, we'll let Ms. Bennett go then."

Bonnie put terrible dread in her gut, terror in her heart, this time for Damon's life and well being.

Damon didn't hesitate "Deal, I'll sacrifice myself for her freedom, as long she remains unharmed from here on out. And you let her go right this instant."

Todd gestured. "See I knew you would come to reason, trying to be all noble like, you have a deal her freedom for your life."

"Then release her now." Damon challenged sternly.

"Damon what are you doing?" Bonnie shook her head.

His features softened as he switched his attention back to her. "It's going to be okay, Bonnie."

She protested with distress. "No, it's not they're going to kill you."

He eyed her with sympathy. "I'm going to give you the keys to my Camaro, you can use it to escape from here as quickly as you can."

"No way." Tears brimmed at the corner of her eyes. "I'm not going."

Damon kneeled in front of where she was sitting. So that his eyes were right on level with hers. "Please, just go."

Bonnie clasped desperately at his hands. "Not without you."

"I love you, Bonnie, I've loved you for a very long time. You are the love of my life." Damon confessed with sincere emotion. "You're my best friend, my soulmate."

She gasped at his heartfelt confession, as her emotion for and towards him overwhelmed her. It was the first time he had said the words "I love you." To her since the time in the woods while she was still under the huntress curse. And now she knew there was no doubt that he loved her just as much as she loved him.

"I love you, I'm in love with you. For whatever happens next, I just need you to know this." Damon's eyes were now also filled with tears of emotion. "And it's because of this that I'm going to need you to listen to me. Once they let you go, I'm going to need you to run as far away from here as you can, understand."

Tears now spilled over her eyes, down her cheeks. "Damon, I"

"Understand?" Damon repeated.

"I.." Bonnie paused, then relunactly finished. "Understand."

"Good." He gave her a smile which didn't reach her eyes, gently wiped the tears from her cheeks with his thumb.

She closed her eyes from the contact his hand made with her face.

"Alright." Damon stood, until he was at his full height. "I did as you said, Todd, now it's time to follow up with your part of the deal to release her."

Todd gestured. "As I've said, you have yourself a deal."

Before Damon knew it, he felt a painful pressure syringe being injected into the back of his neck, the burning sensation of vervain rushing through his veins, the last thing he heard was Bonnie screaming his name before he saw black.

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

When he opened his eyes next, he was stirring up at a ceiling which was painted off white. And there was sunlight pouring in from the small, narrow window. And he recognized it as morning sunlight. Which meant that the vervain he was given was strong enough to knock him out for the whole night before.

He was laying on his back,on a hard concrete floor. He turned his head to the left, saw cell bars, similar to the bars of that of a prison or jail. Except for this appeared to be placed here by H.S.A.S, as somewhere which they obviously planned to keep supernatural prisoners.

The cell was about the average size that most prison cells were. On the other side of the cell bars, was a metal table, with a steel chair, and hooks where keys hung. Grimacing, Damon sat up, rubbed at the back of his neck and turned to the right. Dread and anger filled him when he saw what he saw.

Bonnie laid, either appearing to be asleep or unconscious on a mattress a few feet away from him, she was on her side, with her back turned to him, in a fetal position. Damon cursed under his breath.

Just then, Buzz entered the room and saw that he was awake. "Rise and shine, sunshine."

Damon was infuriated. "What in the hell did you give her?"

Buzz shrugged. "Just something to calm her down, she was acting all frantic, bawling over you, after we vervain, she wouldn't calm down."

Damon balled a fist at his side. "You fucking drugged her."

"Just subdued her, it's not going to kill her." Buzz rolled his eyes.

"You've all just made the biggest mistake of your lives." Damon's tone was deadly as he said this.

"Whatever." Buzz headed towards the exit of the prison cell room. "Gonna let the others know that you're awake."

Once Buzz exited the room, Damon was alone with Bonnie, he took the moment to speed over to where she was to check on her. He turned her over to face him, she was knocked out cold.

"Bonnie."

No response.

He gently tapped her face. "Bonnie."

She still wouldn't respond as she was unconscious.

Changing his method, Damon wrapped his arms around her torso and cradled her halfway in his lap. "Wake up, please."

She still responded with silence, her eyes still closed. And for a horrible moment, Damon's mind flashed back to when she had gotten injured by Tyler, where she wasn't reacting to his blood, where she wasn't waking up.

"Come on." His tone now on the edge of panic. "Don't do this to me again, just open your eyes, please."

Finally, she fluttered her eyes open on a groan.

Breathing out a sigh of relief, he touched his forehead to hers. "There you go, Thank God."

"Damon?" Her voice was groggy from the drugs they had given to her.

"I'm here, Bon." Damon spoke in a soft whisper. "I'm so sorry I've got you into this."

"This isn't your fault."

"I know, I'm still sorry."

She focused on his handsome face as her vision cleared. "I can't use my magic right now, can't feel it. Like the drugs they give me nullified or weakened them."

He shushed her. "Don't give them any verbal implications that you're a witch. For some reason I don't think they've figured you out yet. You can't let them know or they'll want to kill you too."

She swallowed. "I understand, I won't say anything."

"You're going to get out of this place, I swear."

Bonnie was about to say something, when Buzz entered into the room with a few of the other men.

Buzz opened the cell door, pointed to Damon. "These guys are going to take you to meet your end. Get up."

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

He had been taken to an area four doors down from where the prison cell was, they had hung him from the ceiling, with his arms above his shoulders, and chains wrapped around his wrists. They had hung him so high, that his toes barely touched the ground below him. He groaned at the uncomfortable pressure in his shoulders, as they were forced to carry all of his body weight, due to how he hung from the ceiling by chains.

There was a small worksurface, the type that doctors used to place surgery tools, while they were performing surgery on a patient. This work surface held those types of surgery tools and other hard, sharp looking objects of various sizes and shapes. With some of them looking like they were invented back in medieval times.

Damon cursed under his breath, as it appeared they had taken him to a torture room of some kind, where they demently made to torture him and other supernaturals. He tried to wriggle out of the chains that were wrapped around his wrists, yet the vervain they had placed in his system weakened his strength at the moment.

Todd entered the room whistling a tune. He examined the tools that were on the work surface, then turned beedy eyes towards Damon. "Going to have some fun with ya, before ya die."

"You told me that you would let her go." Damon commented angry.

"Ms. Bennett?"

"I surrendered myself, you went back on your word, you didn't set her free, you locked her in that cell."

Todd picked up a hooked, sharp blade. "I didn't go back on my word, You really believe I would hurt a human woman?"

Damon glared. "You kidnapped her, you fucking moron."

"Only as bait." Todd sighed. "Bonnie Bennett, she's a sweet girl from what I know, used to see her around the halls of Mystic Falls High. Come to think about it, I'm actually doing her a favor ridding you out of her life. She won't be corrupted by a bloodsucker like you. I'll keep my word, we will let her go, once we kill you and use her to ensure you don't try and fight back against the fate that's coming to ya."

Damon's voice was killed with ice and venom. "I'm going to kill you."

"Excuse me."

"You could have been spared from me sending you to your death, if you'd let her go last night. Yet, you didn't. You instead drugged Bonnie again and locked her in a cell, because of that, I will kill you." Damon belowed.

Todd acted unfazed, mainly due to Damon being currently being hung up by the ceiling in chains. "You ain't exactly in the situation where you have the position to kill me."

Todd jammed the curved weapon deep into Damon's pectoral muscle, causing Damon to cry out.

But, Todd would soon reject not taking Damon's threats seriously.

She had to listen for hours as they physically tormented and tortured him. Bonnie was still locked in the cell, as she could hear the yells, screams, and cries of her best friend and the man that she loved. And it was clear that they were inflicting him with extreme pain from the way that he had been yelling out.

Each scream which rang out from him, was like an emotional punch to her heart. The hours shifted from morning to late afternoon, with them torturing Damon nonstop. The more that he screamed out, the more restless, angered, and distressed she grew.

With yet another excruciating sound of agony coming from him, Bonnie couldn't stand it, she felt helpless, desperately wishing she could do something to stop what they were doing to him. She paced back and forth around in her cell.

Buzz, who was sitting at the desk on the opposite side of the cell said in an annoyed voice. "Stop, pacing around like that or else you are going to burn a hole into the floor."

She stopped pacing, whipped her head around to face Buzz. "You're hurting, Damon. You've been physically tormenting him for hours."

"He deserves it for being a vampire. Lord knows how many billions of humans vamps have killed over the centuries."

Bonnie lashed out. "Damon did nothing personal to all of you."

Buzz shrugged. "Him being a vampire is personal enough, he's a bloodsucking monster."

"You all on the monsters, this H.S.A.S group of yours hunting down people who have done nothing to you, to want torture and murder them in cold blood." She spat infuriated.

"Don't tell me you have a soft spot for vamps or something. We're doing this for your own good. No doubt Salvatore had intentions to make you into a fangbanger."

Bonnie clutched the prison bars, putting her face between them. "I'm going to melt then flesh off of your fucking face."

"Whatever." Buzz brushed her off.

Buzz would soon regret not heeding her warning.

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

He lost track of time, as hour merged into execuriating hour. As the group of men, one after the other took their turns torturing him. Whipping, lashing, cutting, beating, stabbing, and hitting him with the variety of torture weapons they had gotten from the work surface. He had been in physical pain many times in his vampire life, yet this was more painful than them all.

He had yelled, screamed out, until his throat was nearly soar from it all. His torso was littered with wounds of different kinds and types, some more severe and deeper than others. Blood, his blood poured and leaked from these wounds, soaking the shirt he had on. With some dripping down to stain his pants, along with the floor which was beneath his feet.

The vervain they had given him left him unable to heal, plus they had soaked some of the weapons in vervain when they cut and stabbed him with them. Soon the hours drifted near nightfall. As Todd took his turn again to torture him.

Todd grabbed a long prod, jammed it into the lower side of his abdomen, until the prod stuck all of the way through Damon's body, with the tip exiting out of his back. He nearly convulsed from the pain, as Todd yanked the prod all of the way back out.

Todd ranted and raved about what an abonition vampires were, how he and his group were doing a service to mankind by eliminating all vampires from the earth. He told Damon that he wasn't going to survive the night.

All of the loss off blood, the wounds, the hours of torture had Damon feeling incredibily weak, as he could feel himself fade away, he knew that he would meet his end unless this situation took a drasctic turn.

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

The drastic turn occured when Bonnie felt a surge of energy resurface in her body. She then realized that the drugs they had injected into her system had finally worn off enough for her to have her powers back in full force. Suddenly, she felt better about her chances to escape this place and her ability to help Damon.

She wouldn't verbally let them know that she was a witch, yet she damn well had the intention of showing them. So when Buzz left the cell room once again, leaving her alone, she quickly took advantage.

On the opposite side of the cell, was the table where they had placed her phone, Damon's phone, and the keys to his camaro. And hanging on the wall were the keys to the prison cell. Normally, a person locked up as she was wouldn't be able to reach the keys, of course however, she wasn't a normal person.

Bonnie outstretched her hand, focused on those keys, they rattled slightly, pulled from her powers, until they were floating in midair, she used her magic, drawing them to her, as if they were being pulled on an invisible line. Until they floated through the bars and into her hand.

She let out a silent "Yes" of triumph, then as fast as she soon, used the key to open the prison cell. Luckily her arm was slender just enough for her hand to fit through the bars. She turned the key in the keyhole, then proceeded to open the cell door.

Once she was out, she immediately grabbed both her and Damon's cellphone, then the keys to his camaro, slipping all of the items into her jacket that they hadn't bothered to make her remove.

She had made it just a few steps towards the exit of the room, when Buzz entered into it again.

"How did you get out of the cell?" Buzz barked as he made a grab for her.

Dodging his maneuver towards her, Bonnie clutched his face with her hand, focusing a specific amount of energy from her hand into the face of Buzz.

Buzz screamed out in pain as he felt a burning sensation in his face.

She released her grip onto his face, watched as he stammered back.

Buzz kept yelling out, grasping at his face with his hands, he pulled his hands away, horror coming upon his features as he saw his skin and flesh dripping down his hands, like wax dripping down a candle.

He fell to his knees as his skin bubbled like water in a pan on top of a hot stove. And before he could ever blink next, he was dead from the magic which had been casted upon him by Bonnie.

"Buzz?" One of the other men came barging in. "Why are you…." The man stopped when he saw Buzz on the ground. With the skin and flesh of his face melted away so much, that all that remained was some skull and bone showing.

The man then turned his widened eyes towards Bonnie. "What the hell? You're a supe too?"

Saying nothing, Bonnie only gave the man a deadly smirk.

The man then lunged at her in a threatening manner. However, Bonnie was prepared. She used her powers to make a screwdriver that was halfway across the room, fly into her hands, she then pressed the sharp end of the screw driver into the man's juglar with as much force as she could.

As he clutched at his jugular, where blood now gushed out like water from a guyster, she continued towards her escape, hoping to find Damon.

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Todd had stuck the prod into his torso for a second time, was about to do it for a third, when a big commotion made Todd take a pause in his torture of the blue eyed vampire. There was a scream coming from the direction of where the prison cell was, it was Buzz's scream.

Todd turned his head in confusion towards the sound, trying to figure out what was going on.

Damon used this distraction to his advantage, with a burst of might and strength, he yanked as hard as he could on the chains above his head, managed just enough force to crack the wooden structure which was attached to the ceiling. His feet landed on the ground, as the chain which was wrapped around his wrist separated from the ceiling.

He then used that chain and from behind, twisted the chain around the neck of Todd, squeezing as tightly as he could. Todd choked out, grasping at his neck at the chain which was now twisted around it, however Damon only tightened the chain, restricting Todd's air flow more and more.

Todd choked, gasped, kicked his feet in the air as he struggled to try to get away from Damon. Yet, it was of no use, Todd's eyes bugged out, as the veins in them broke due to him getting strangled so brutally. And within a few minutes, he stopped struggling, as his body went limp, lifeless.

Shoving a now dead Todd to the ground, Damon stepped over Todd's body, somehow managed to break away the chains from around his wrists, then proceeded to head in the direction of the cell where Bonnie was.

He grabbed at his torso, where the blood from his wounds continued to leak, his vision blurred slightly from his weakened state and the loss of blood. Yet still he willed himself to go on.

Stumbling, he pressed his hand against the wall for balance, leaving a smeared bloody handprint which was bloody from his own blood, he took a few steps more, then spotted Bonnie. She had gotten out of the cell, making it just as far as the entrance of where the prison cell room was.

He could see how she had already taken down about four men using her magic and her powers. And was currently trying to fend the others off, warning them to stay back. But, they were circling her, trying to corner her to attack her at the same time.

Seeing these men surround the love of his life, sent him into berserk mode, with a sudden burst of adrenaline, he snapped two of their necks here, ripped out three of their hearts there. Which enabled Bonnie to be able to take down a few more of them using her powers and magic. Once that area was clear of those who threatened the vampire and witch pair, Damon grabbed onto her hand, telling her how they needed to get out of this place now.

She took notice of the blood which soaked his shirt, recognizing that it had to come from the hours upon which they tortured him. But, she had no time to check on him, as their main mission had to be finding some way to get out of this hellhole. So she gripped his hand tightly, as he led her down the narrow, short hallway, towards the front of the house, where the only exit was.

As they made their escape down the narrow pathway, one of the other men who had been in the bathroom which had been aligning the hallway, tried a sneak attack, as he had waited for them to pass, before running up behind them and latching onto Bonnie's arm.

Feeling the resistance of someone who was trying to pull her in the other direction, to prevent their escape, Damon turned and could see a redneck looking man had grabbed a hold of Bonnie. He ordered the man to let Bonnie go and when the redneck refused to do so, Damon reached over her shoulder, crushing the redneck's neck and jugular with his bare hand, causing the grip to loosen and drop away.

They continued running, until they ran into the foyer, where the door led to their freedom from this place. But, blocking this door, were the remaining members of H.S.A.S, who had their vervain guns trained on Damon, warning him that they would shoot him if he didn't stop.

"Cease." Bonnie commanded, with her free hand she made a motion that had the vervain guns flying out of the hands of the men. Then she made her hand into a fist, breaking all of the vervain guns into a million pieces with her powers.

As the men stood there in shock, Damon and Bonnie bowled their way through them, until they were out of the house.

The remaining men tried to give chase, however when they attempted to follow the pair outside, they ran into an invisible wall. The men pounded on the wall in confusion, wondering what was going on.

This was when Bonnie faced the house, releasing Damon's hand so that she could fully contrate on what she was about to do next.

Once the remaining men saw the fury in Bonnie Bennett's eyes, they knew that they were in deep shit. They just had learned about her being what they would call a "Supe", yet learned it far too late.

Bonnie chanted a single word in Latin, which made a flame appear in the palm of her hand, the other men upon seeing them, tried backing away from the door, yet there would be no escape for them.

She blew the flame from the palm of her hand to the direction of the house, within seconds engulfing the fraternity style building, in a big raging fire. Their voices howled and shouted out as they were burned alive, until their shouts soon went quiet.

Bonnie turned back towards Damon, where she could see him standing there as he had observed what she just did. The fire from the now burning building casting a glow across the features of his face.

"Impressive, little witch." Damon complimented with a half smile.

She gave him a half smile back, reaching into the pocket of her jacket. "I've got the keys to your camaro, we should get as far away from this place as possible."

"We should." The smile dropped from his face as he felt the adrenaline rush drain out of him.

"Damon?" Bonnie frowned.

With his injuries being too numerous, the blood loss too severe, Damon couldn't even make it a step further. He collapsed face first to the ground.

"Damon." Bonnie rushed over to him.

He began to feel himself fading into unconsciousness, an unconscious which he feared he wouldn't be able to wake up from.

She turned him over, until his back was pressed against the grass, which had turned dorminat due to the cooling fall weather. Smelling the overwhelming scent of blood coming from his form, she realized he was still bleeding. She opened his shirt to inspect his injuries and let out a panicked gasp at what she saw.

His entire torso was littered with wounds of different kinds, many severe and still bleeding out. Lacerations, gashes, deep cuts, and puncture wounds. They had tortured him for hours. And had given him some sort of anti vampire drug, a strong version of vervain and something else which prevented his natural vampire healing body from being able to fix itself.

A gut wrenching revelation hit her, whatever they had given him had him currently as weak as a normal human would be. Which meant that he would succumb to his injuries, before the vervain concoction wore off, enabling his vampire healing to take over.

"Come on, you have to get up." Bonnie pleaded with him.

He looked up at the night sky, the stars in his vision turning fuzzy.

She attempted to lift him up, however his body weight was too heavy for her to handle. "The camaro is just a short walk away, let me drive you away from here, then I'll find some potion to fix you."

"I can't."

"What do you mean you can't? Of course you can."

Damon found himself not being able to move his body at all, even if he wanted to, he knew that he didn't have the strength to be able to make it to the camaro. In his current condition. The Camaro seemed like it was one hundred miles away.

Damon swallowed. "Get out of here, take my keys, drive away from this place and leave me here."

"No." Bonnie shook her head, raising her voice. "That's not going to happen, I'm not leaving here without you."

"I'm not going to make it." He could feel himself fading away.

"Of course you are." Bonnie was getting emotionally frantic now, she couldn't lose him.

He shifted his eyes over to her, wheezing out a shallow breath. "I love you, Bonnie."

The way he said those three words had the panic increasing inside of her more. "Don;t you dare say it like that."

His eyes rolled into the back of his head, as he could feel his life force slipping away from him inch by inch.

She watched in horrified dread as he began to slip into unconsciousness. She said his name again with a distraught crack in her voice. He was just moments away from either dying or desiccating severely to the point where normal blood might not even be able to bring him around.

She could see him slipping away before her eyes, as it dawned on her how much she truly would grief for him after he was gone. How she would spend years mourning for his death. It was far too painful for her to fatom him being gone. So as she was overwhelmed with emotions for him and overcome with the thought of losing him, she decided right then and there to be honest with how she felt.

"I love you too, Damon. I too have loved you for a very long time." Bonnie confessed emotionally. "You are my soulmate, you're the love of her life, you are the one, my one."

As he heard her confess her feelings for him, pouring her heart out to him in such a sincere way, Damon could feel his own love for her stirring inside of his heart.

"And it's exactly because I love you that I'm going to need you to fight to live." She continued directing all of the love she had for him into these words. "I need you, Damon. I'm in love with you, I need you, do you hear me?"

"Yes." Damon whispered although his eyes were still closed.

Bonnie recalled all of the times he had saved her, how he had always taken the lead on making it his mission to save and rescue her life through the years whenever she had been in danger. She would be dead if it weren't for him, she knew this for a fact. He had saved her more times than she could count on one hand.

And now he was on the ground, bleeding out, because he had knowingly come into a hostile situation for her, he had been willing to sacrifice his very life just for her freedom from the group which had captured her. She didn't know quite how she would handle knowing that he died, because he had exchanged his life for her's.

She decided she was going to let him die, Damon Salvatore dying wasn't going to happen on her watch. She racked her minds with solutions to save him, could only come up with one which would work at this very moment.

"You're going to have to feed on me."

"Bonnie?"

"They've given you some Anti vampire healing drugs to make your healing abilities that of a normal human's. Therefore normal blood won't heal you. But, my blood will." Her tone was pleading, yet determined. "My blood isn't normal, I'm a powerful witch, from the Bennett lineage, the magical priorities in it will counteract whatever they've given you, it will allow you to heal, it will save you."

His eyes fluttered open as he looked towards her once more.

She latched onto his blood soaked shirt by the collar. "Feed on me, now."

Between the pleading tone in her voice and the fact that she had confessed her love for him, he felt a sudden will to fight to live, to do what it took for him to live. His love for her, her for him, gave him the motivation, the inspiration to see his life continued. Knowing she now felt the same as he had about her gave him the last bit of strength in which he needed.

So, he sat upright, grabbed the back of her neck, with a soft hand, using the other to move her hair out of the way. He descended his fangs from his gums, biting onto the big vein which aligned her neck.

She winced some as his fangs pierced the skin of her neck, yet remained still as he started to take small sips of her blood. The building which was still on fire behind them, engulfed in orange flames against the night sky.

Damon drank some more, and within a minute, he could feel her blood already began to work. She was correct as whatever magical priorities were in her blood, nullified the vervain and the anti-vampire healing drug they had injected into him with the pressure syringe.

Rubbing at his back, she encouraged him to drink more until he was completely healed, which was what he did. He kept drinking from her neck, taking slightly bigger gulps. Soon enough, he felt the wounds in his torso stitch themselves, close and heal until they were no more. Then he felt his full vampire strength and energy return to him.

Now he was fully healed, his life no longer in danger, the magic in her blood successfully saving him. Yet he found himself not being able to stop feeding from her. Her blood, rich, smooth, savory, sweet and potent, was far better tasting than any blood he had tasted before. He hummed out in pleasure as her blood slid down his throat.

Suddenly the mood, the energy around them shifted, he was no longer feeding on her to heal himself, he was feeding on her for pleasure. She discovered this as she heard him hum, there was something sensual to her in the fact that he thought her blood tasted that good to him.

There were different ways in which a vampire could feed from someone, either purely for food, to heal themselves or for sexual and sensual reasons. And because he had changed his method to the sexual way of feeding. She felt it all over her body, as a burst of desire, want, and lust all mixed together gloriously. It felt good in ways in which she couldn't even put into words.

Grasping onto the back of his neck, with her fingers toying with her hair at the nape there, her mouth gaped open in pleasure. Encouraged by her response, he grabbed her by the waist, hosted her up until she was straddling his lap, he did this without breaking his fangs away from her neck. And kept drinking, growing harder and harder with an inch gulp of her blood.

Between the feeling his erection pressed against her clothed, heated center, and the incredible feeling of him drinking from her. Bonnie could feel her pussy growing wetter and wetter, until her underwear was soaked by the fluid which was flowing out of her. She let out gasping breaths, grinding herself against his crotch.

Her arousal filled into his nose, causing him to let out a hunger groan against her neck as he grew ever harder, he lifted up his hips from the ground in a humping motion to meet up with the grinding she was doing. Creating a delicious friction that had them both breathing heavily.

He finally detached his fangs from her neck, not wanting to take away too much blood from her. He angled his head back just far enough to see her face, in which he could see the lust, need, and desire mirror in her eyes, reflecting the exact things he was feeling for her towards the moment.

She grabbed either side of his face with her hands, leaned in, kissing him. Aroused more by her own blood that she could taste on his lips. He immediately deepened the kiss, slipping his tongue between her lips. They kissed, hungrily, passionately, with open mouths and tongue as if they were long lost lovers reuniting for the first time, as if they couldn't get enough.

The embers which were now turning the house into ashes, was no competition for the burning desire they had for each other. As they grinded and dry humped, under the clear night, fall sky. Until one hard hump from him, upwards absolutely unraveled her. Causing her to cry out as she came, soaking her underwear even more.

His raging hard on strained against his pants to the point where he was surprised a hole hadn't ripped through them. Damon wanted nothing more than to be inside of her at that very moment, yet she was far too important to him for their first time together to be him taking her outside on the middle of someone else's lawn.

Bonnie saw the heated expression in his icy blue eyes, she could tell how he wanted to be inside of her, she wanted nothing more than to feel his hardened length inside of her. Yet she knew how they meant too much for each other for that to happen here on this lawn. So, wordlessey she got to her feet, offered her hand to him. He took her hand, stood and followed her to his camaro.

As they drove away from the old farmland, Bonnie had no regrets about what she had to do in order to defend her life and to save Damon's. Even if that meant she had to burn some of those who had threatened them alive.

As soon as they had arrived at Bonnie's home, they wasted no time. The very moment when her front door was shut and locked, was the very moment where they started to rip clothes off of each other. By the time they had hit the top step of her upstairs, they were already mostly nude.

Then Damon guided her into the bathroom, where they got naked the rest of the way, they jumped into the shower, just enough to wash the blood, dirt, and grime from their bodies. Dried off, making a beeline for her bathroom.

There they were finally able to release, let go off, all of their feelings, love, needs, and desires which they have been penting up inside of them or hiding for years. There in her bathroom, their first time making love was tender, sweet, lustful, urgent, loving, passionate, intense, needy. All at the same time.

He used his mouth, tongue, hand, and fingers, on every inch of her naked skin which he could gain access to. Until she was a trembling mess beneath him, begging him in a breathless voice to take him. He slipped inside of her, his naked front pressed against hers, flesh moving against flesh, pelvis to pelvis. As his hips moved at an increasing pace. And when he felt the walls of her pussy clutch around him, he finally felt like he had found his home with Bonnie Bennett.

The two of them had often fondly recalled the first time they had made love, not Bonnie being kidnapped, or Damon being tortured. But of when they confessed their love for each other. When they made passionate love for the very first time together. It had been beautiful and amazing, something which would be etched into their memories forever.

Damon's near fatal encounter with H.S.A.S, made them realize how precious life really was, how it could be ended or taken away within a blink of an eye, even for a vampire sometimes. They didn't want to spend another day denying or hiding their feelings for each other. Didn't want to waste anymore time allowing their love for each other to go by unanswered, unresolved.

So, on that mid October night in 2018, they made an emotional agreement, to become an official couple, to start dating each other, and to love their romantic love. And they have been together romantically since that night in 2018. Neither giving another person so much as a glance of interest. As they were fully one hundred percent committed to each other. And only wanted to be with each other. And knew that they could never give their heart to another.

She was his destiny, this was what he told her on that night in 2018, and it was always him, he was always meant to be the one, this was what she had told him on that night in 2018, during the afterglow of their love making. And both of them still felt the same way, even in the year which was now 2042.

Their love, need, desire for each other was just as strong as it was on that night in 2018.

Now, they were in the master bedroom of their dream house, with Damon attentively resting his head in between her spreaded thighs. He currently had his fangs into her inner thigh, drinking from her femoral artery. Which for a Bonnie, was like receiving oral sex from Damon.

Except this was tenfold more pleasurable than normal oral size was, it had like him feeding him her neck for sexual purposes, except many times more intense. He was drinking from a spot, just inches away from her sex. Which was currently gushing like a waterfall due to her arousal.

He could tell by her mewls and the way she was circling her hips, that she was close. So he decided to aid her. Without removing his fangs from her inner thigh, he entered to fingers into her sex, fingered her like an expert, while flicking a thumb over her exposed clit. The combination of it all sent her over the edge, as she orgasmed around his fingers.

He moaned out as he could taste her oragasm through the blood he had drunk from her thigh. Removing his fangs from her inner thigh, he moved up her body until his face was hovered above her. Leaned down and kissed her passionately.

Reaching over, he grabbed a sharp safety pin from the nightstand next to the large master bed, pricked a hole into the side of his neck until his blood dripped out of it. Instantaneously, Bonnie pulled him down, wrapping her lips around the wound, where she could drink in small amounts of his blood.

His eyes rolled back into his eyes on another moan, as she was the one feeding from him now. There was an intimacy, a unique remarkable bonding, both sexual and emotional in blood sharing. Something in which a vampire didn't do with all of his sexual partners and something which wasn't to be taken lightly.

So the fact that the two of them had blood shared countless times during their marriage, was proof of just how sacred their relationship was and always would be.

Bonnie had never blood shared with Enzo, never allowed Enzo to feed from her, never drunk Enzo's blood. And it was because the British vampire was never her true love, while Damon was.

She got enjoyment, sensual and emotional out of drinking from him. His blood tasted nice to her even, as the thick, heady, spicy, almost earthy taste of him coated her tongue, as it was coating it now. She swallowed his blood with several gulps, licking the essence of it clean from her lips.

Damon entered into her with one quick jolt of his hips. Both of them in unison, with pleasured contentment, as the walls of her pussy embraced his dick, like a wet, warm blanket. He began moving in and out of her, thrusting his hips in the exact manner he knew she loved. Kept going at it, until he had a perfect rhythm going.

Arching her back, she mewled loudly as raised her hips to meet him thrust for thrust. And for a while, this was how they moved together, until she decided that she was in the mood for a change of position.

Using her magic, Bonnie flipped him over, with her magic, maneuvering him on his back, and switching up so she was currently on top. Before he could even react to the sudden change, she began riding him. Bouncing on top of him, moving her hips in a figure eight motion, which she knew drove him crazy.

Damon grunted, digging his fingers into her waist, as he jerked his pelvis upwards to meet her downward motion. Feeling herself get close again, she raked her nails across his chest, causing him to hiss out. Rearing up, he sucked her taunt, pebbled nipple into his mouth, sucking on it, while scraping it slightly with his teeth.

Throwing her head back, she released another verbal sound of pleasure, as she had another orgasm. This one is more intense than the last. He called out her name, as his seed erupted from his cock, into her, with a few more pumps of his hips.

Spent Bonnie rolled off of him and onto her back. They laid side by side on their backs, staring up at the ceiling, catching their breaths. It took them about ten minutes to gather themselves and recover from such an intense, passionate round of love making.

Bonnie turned to her side in his direction. "I'll take that ice cream now."

Damon glanced over at her with amusement. "Really?"

Bonnie grinned. "Yeah, some really great sex has put me in the mood for it."

"Okay." A chuckling Damon sat up in the bed. "I'll go get you some ice cream if that's what you want."

"Wonderful!"

Damon added. "And we can catch up on the newest episode of Beyond Earth, while we're having some ice cream."

Bonnie's grin grew wider. "Sounds good to me."

He swung his feet over the edge of the bed, stood and took his pants off of the floor, put them on without bothering with his underwear. "I'll go get the ice cream, don't start the episode until I get back."

"Don't worry I won't."

He grinned at her before leaving their bedroom.

Sighing in contentment once more, Bonnie turned on the flatscreen TV which was in their master bedroom. Sitting up, she waited for her husband to return with the Brownie Fudge ice cream.
