Luca opened the bathroom door to find Andi leaned over the toilet, holding her hair behind her head. She let out another gag, then wiped her mouth and flushed.
"You okay?" Luca asked, watching her standing from her floor. She walked to the sink to splash her face with water, then brushed her teeth.
"No," she whispered, clearing her throat. "I think it's the stomach flu. Maybe you should use Jim's bathroom."
"I'll make you some tea. You need to keep your fluids up."
"I'm fine," Andi promised him, giving him a smile.
"I'm not gonna head in to this call out. I don't start work until 8 that way. I'll run and get you some Gatorade and soup."
"No. Go. I'm fine. I just need sleep."
"No. I've got 5 more hours." He grabbed Andi's elbow and guided her from the bathroom and into their bed. Once she was tucked in he pressed his lips to her forehead and wiped away her strands of sweaty hair stuck to her face. "I'll be right back," he whispered.
"Thanks baby," she murmured as she closed her eyes and lifted the comforter above her head. "I love you."
"I love you," he told her back, leaving the bedroom. He let out a yawn as he grabbed his keys to head to the drug store. Being up at 3 am was going to hurt him this evening when he had to come home to help take care of her again.

20 squad climbed into the tactical vehicle, ready to head into the crime scene of the hostage situation they'd been called into at 3 AM, just 5 hours before their shift was due to start.
Tan climbed into the drivers seat, and when the back door to the truck closed, he flicked on the lights and sirens and zipped out of the parking lot.
"Man, I know Luca isn't back until our shift starts today, but I was really hoping he would be here. I miss the guy," Chris admitted.
"He says hey," Jim said. "He and Andi had a good time in Spain. Then he took her to Vegas for a few days. They've been staying up the last few days, dancing in the living room, and he's excited to get back to work today."
"Alright guys," Hondo brought the team back to the reality. "Tan, when we get to the house, pull in front of the command center. Chris and Street take cover from the back. I'll set up a burner phone we can get inside to try and talk the HT down. Deacon, find a spot to set up the rifle. If we wind up getting a clean shot I want you ready to go."
"Do we have an I.D. On the guy who barricaded everyone?" Chris asked.
"Yeah his name is Jason Driggs. He's holding up his girlfriend's apartment. He mentioned to first responders that the guy in the apartment with him isn't who he says he is. Police on scene believe it was a domestic disturbance. That he walked in on the girlfriend in bed with the male hostage."
"So this started as a domestic then," Chris said.
"Appears to be. When you get in there try and get him calm. We will try and out all these pieces together," Hondo told her, as Tan stopped the vehicle.
"Let's go," he called, opening the driver door.

Luca pulled into the station in his truck, and shut off the engine. He climbed out, grabbing his book bag, and headed inside. Two weeks of marriage, and he was back to his normal life after a trip abroad and then to Sin City. He couldn't help but smile as he made it to the locker room, and unlocked his locker. This room felt like home to him. Ifs where he congregated with his family before and after shifts, where the friendships grew, and where they banned together on a tough day.
Setting his book bag in his locker, he grabbed his uniform from the top shelf to change. Deacon entered, giving Luca a grin. "Dominique Luca! How's married life treating you?"
Luca gave Deacon a hand shake that turned into a hug, then waved his left hand in the air, wiggling his ring finger, clad with his new wedding band. "Still getting used to wearing this thing," he admitted.
"Soon enough it'll feel like you're naked when you forget it," Deacon promised.
"True," Luca laughed, smiling as he nodded. "Hey, uhh... about Andi at the rehearsal dinner..."
"She talked to me. It's fine. I over stepped," Deacon said. "Andi is great, and I'm happy for you, brother."
"Thanks man," Luca nodded, closing his locker. "I was worried it would be weird. She's just been under a lot of stress... I think the wedding brought up a lot of ghosts for her."
"How so?" Deacon asked, resting his shoulder against the lockers while Luca sat to undress.
"She's been bringing Matt up a lot. When we first met and she told me about him, she struggled with her feelings on it. She loved him, but he was a shithead of a husband... and father. Right before the wedding she told me about the last few months with him... and man, if that guy was alive... I'd kill him." Luca shook his head, trying to shake the thoughts of his wife's late husband entering his mind. "Anyway. Now that we're home and life is normal, she's been better."
"I couldn't imagine having to lose a spouse, raise a child alone. Andi is really lucky to have you. And the wedding was beautiful."
"Yeah," Luca grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. "Charlotte did a pretty good job. I never dreamed of my wedding as a boy. I'll bet you didn't either. But if I did, this would have been it. It's all about seeing the one woman in your life that makes everything right, smiling at you at the end of the alter."
"I never took you for a sap, Luca," Deacon chuckled. "Marriage life looks good on you."
"Feels good too," he said, standing from the bench. "Where's the rest of the team?"
"They're in a debrief with Hicks. I just came to get you actually. This is gonna be an all day thing."
"Oh? What's going on?" Luca locked the pad on his locker and then followed Deacon from the locker room.
"We had a hostage situation earlier this morning. It was during our on call so that's why we're already here and you're not," Deacon began explaining, as he and Luca walked down the hall together, making a right and following another hall to the conference room. "The hostage isn't being forthcoming with his name. We had to finger print him and bring him into custody. Waiting now for the prints to come back, hoping that they're in a database somewhere."
"Why would a hostage lie about their identity?" Luca asked, as Deacon opened the door to the conference room.
Deacon didn't have time to answer his question, as Luca was treated with warm welcomes and hugs from his team.

Luca stood up straight, his knuckles pushing off the counter top of the table, his jaw clenching at the picture on the screen before him. While the others were waiting on fingerprints to come back, he knew the face of the man staring at him in the photo.
He crossed his arms, shaking his head. "This is un fucking believable," he gritted between his teeth.
Hondo turned to look at him, "What's up Luca? You know this guy?"
Luca but his lip. "Yeah. That's Matt Jackson."
"Isn't he dead?" Jim asked.
"I would know his face anywhere. Charlotte makes Andi go through the photo album every time she's home. And when she had her apartment his pictures were everywhere. That's him. That's Andi's first husband."
"Okay. We need solid proof before we go accusing the man of faking his death," Hondo said.
"Well, Andi mentioned before that Charlotte's enrolled in that lost kid program. Don't they put the kids DNA in there?"
"Yeah they do," Deacon confirmed. "If we get a warrant, I bet we can pull her DNA."
"Say the word, and I'm on it boss," Luca said to Hondo.
