Graysen froze. He pulled out his wand from his pocket but Zoe was faster as she struck him with a body binding spell. This time Graysen literally froze.
He tried to reach for his book but he couldn't move. Ryuk smirked but soon his face turned to shock as Graysens thumb twitched, Soon his hand moved and then along went the rest of his body. Graysen grabbed his book and his pen and started writing Zoes name.
"Wait!" She exclaimed.
Graysen didn't stop so she dug into her trunk and pulled out her note and threw it at Graysen. He caught it and looked up to see Ren, another shinigami. He got startled and threw it back at her. Graysen could still see Ren.
"What the fuck?!" gasped Graysen.
"H-..." Zoe stopped from answering by a jerk
from the train. Graysen looked to the window to find a shadowy figure outside followed by ice, covering the screen.
The door to their carriage slowly slid open to reveal another shadowy figure.
"Hey Mani!" Ryuk shouted.
The so-called 'Mani' started to hover over Graysen. The last thing he remembered was
a scream until his vision turned blank.
Graysen awoke to the door sliding open.
"Graysen, my boy!" A man entered and sat adjacent to him.
Graysen looked around and noticed the carriage was all white before turning back to the strange character.
"Am I dead?" Graysen calmly asked.
"No, Mr. Brown. In fact you are more alive than ever!" The weirdo exclaimed.
Before Graysen could tell this guy to fuck off, the old bloke waved his jazz hands and made a movie screen for the two to watch.
The screen widened and slowly covered Graysen's eyes. The screen showed a scrawny kid about the age not 6, huddled in a cupboard. Graysen felt sympathy for the boy and went out to touch his shoulder.
The boy looked up and shed a tear.
The boy was quickly yanked out of his cupboard and put on the floor where a fat man was waiting with a belt. The horror was unimaginable, the screams scarred him. The boy was then shoved in the dirty cupboard left to lick his wounds. The boy look up at Graysen expecting another experience like the last, he braced for impact but the pain never came.. instead he saw Graysen with outstretched hands towards him. The fragile boy was hesitant at first but eventually accepted the warm embrace which caused the two to slowly fade away.
