(Monday)

The next morning when Caitlin woke up, she noticed another message from Barry. As she turned off her alarm, she just dismissed the message and threw her phone back on the nightstand. She had to force to force herself to get ready that day for she did not want to go class and face Barry.

After getting dressed, she skipped breakfast and her morning coffee in hopes of not having an enouncement with him on her way to class. As she arrived to their Psychology class early, she sat down and waited for class to begin. As she was waiting, she decided to look at the message Barry sent her.

Glad you could come last night, hope you had a great time. You free next Friday?

Her eyes widened feeling both nervous and guilty for ghosting him that morning. As class started, she just ignored him as he walked in the room. As she could tell that Barry was trying to get her attention by smiling at her while walking in the room, she just pretended that she did not notice him.

After class was over, Caitlin rushed out of the class so she could avoid contact with Barry once again. Just as she reached the door, she heard him call her name, but she pretended like she didn't hear him and just rushed out.

Luckily, they only had one class a week together, so she was in a big relief that she wouldn't have to feel that nervous again for a while.

(Wednesday night)

As the day went was finally over, Caitlin changed into more comfortable cloths. As she lay in bed, she got on her phone to work up the confidence to give Barry a call about his message.

While lying down and waiting for the phone to ring, she was both excited and nervous when he answered. "Hey Caitlin." She heard over the phone in a surprised tone. "Hey Barry." After exchanging pleasantries, they made small talk for about five minutes about the party last Sunday. Then she brought up his text that he earlier in the week. "So, about the message you sent me the other day, you having another party?" She asked. "Well, I actually just wanted to see if you wanted to hang out just you and me." He said in a nervous tone.

Caitlin wasn't sure of what to make of this. Was Barry talking about a date, or did he just mean as friends? Whatever Barry meant; she liked the sound of it. Her heart then started to race and her hand started trembling with nervousness as she lay there in bed. Feeling as it was almost a hundred degrees, her body temperature started to rise, and she took off her S.T.A.R. Tech hoodie, now laying down in just a thin tank top and some pajama shorts. She rushed herself for she did not want to keep him on hold for too long. Her head was spinning. Did Barry feel the same way as her? All she knew was that she had to find out.

What was only about 60 seconds felt like an eternity. So, Caitlin eventually calmed herself down, took a few deep breaths, and returned to the call. "Yeah, I would love to hang out." She said in the most chill way as possible. "Great, meet me outside my apartment on Friday around 7, I'll make sure we have a good time." He said.

After making plans, they both exchanged goodbyes, she hung up the phone, but had a difficult time falling asleep, eager for Friday to come.
