Chapter 4: Lapis
In a barn floating in space, the resident being a lone lapis lazuli. Lapis, for the past few weeks, has been reflecting. About the things that she left behind; Peridot, Pumpkin, and… Steven. She can't deny that she does have a crush on the boy, and the only person that she told in confidence was Peridot.

Her biggest regret, if she could travel back through time, she would accept one of Peridot's various attempts to make amends with her. If she wasn't such a massive jerk to the small green gem, and tried to be a better friend. And her trying to get the ocean gem to stay.

If she does see her, she'll try to make amends with her. May be hard, considering how she disregarded her feelings before.

Her second-biggest regret, one of few people that she trusts. He was there when she needed him, but wasn't there when he needed her. She laid down in a fetal position, similar when they were on that ship. Steven offered her a chance to escape, but she declined.
Oh, yes, the past can hurt, but the way I see it… you can either run from it, or learn from it.

She was afraid to confront it, but she remembered Jade saying that everyone makes mistakes, but it's what you do with them that counts. And if things may seem bad, just look for the bright side. She kept remembering one of the worst moments of her life, but the bright side was if she hadn't been caught in the crossfire. She wouldn't have met the person of her dreams.
The ocean gem started to shed a tear.

She just left both her best friend and the person that cares about her the most, behind. All because of fear of being caught in another war.
