Ace woke up, the moment Luffy entered his room. It was normal for Lu, to just barge inside.. But not to slam right into the door, while it was already open. He seemed to be half asleep himself, so it was suspicious. "Lu?" Ace asked, rubbing his eyes and stretching a bit, while sitting up and looking at him. "Is everything okay? Are you alright?" he stood up and managed to catch Luffy, who had tripped while he waked up to his older brother. "Lu?" Luffy slung his rubber limbs around him. Holding himself close to Ace's chest. "'M fine... Just sleepy... Sabo wants to talk with you. Boring adult stuff, I guess... Can I sleep here? I'll sleep here..." and so he did. Ace smiled and placed his little brother in the still warm bed, draping the blanked over him. "You can. Sleep well." Ace pressed a soft kiss on his forehead, before putting some clothes on and leaving the room.
He made a stop in the kitchen, fetching a coffee for Sabo, before he made his way to the navigation room where he could sense his brother. He gave a quick knock, before entering. "I'm here. So, you have a plan?" he placed the mug on the usual spot, which where signaled by multiple coffee stamps. Sabo hummed, immediately picking it up, taking a sip. "How are you feeling?" "Better. Everything is clear now, not longer fuzzy. No headache" Sabo hummed again. "Fine. Could you spare me with your medical explanation? At least this time? Thanks. So, moving on." Sabo cleared his throat. "I have changed the course, as you may have noticed. We're heading back to the last island. I know, the Whitebeards are heading there too, but we can avoid them there better than we could have done while being in the open sea." He looked at Ace, who nodded. "Yeah. Okay. Sounds good. We let them pass us and then we'll sail further away, keeping an even lower profile until they forget about us. Right?" He gave a smile to his brother "Yes. After the stunt we pulled we even should think about heading back to the start of paradise, I would suggest Arabaster. It's rear a Yonko leaves the New World, to our luck he did, but he would never go that far away from it. Especially Whitebeard. He's having so many islands under his protection, and got himself a huge territory." Ace hummed at this and sat himself on the floor, crossing his legs.
"Arabaster you say? Isn't that were Luffy had met the little girl? Ivi or something?" "Yes. But it's Vivi and she's a princess Ace." Ace chuckled "Of what? Princess of the mighty sandcastle?" both brothers, who mostly refers themselves as twins when they met others, chuckled and gave a small laugh, remembering how they had met her and the King. She was a cute little girl and Luffy had indeed built a sandcastle with her. He was only a year younger than her, so he was perfectly fine with playing in the sand. Somewhere they even had a picture of their 6 year old, cute, little brother playing with her. While Luffy got his verry first friend, the brothers became some sort of friends with the king too and got some rest. It was exhausting, to live the life they lived. They were really thankful to find someone who could keep an eye on Luffy, so the brothers could take a really long nap. They were just teenagers, having turned 17 only months ago. And raising a child for almost 4 years, 2 of them all alone out on the sea, while trying to stay alive and learn how to rob and steal from others... All the way with a still injuried Sabo, an traumatised Ace and an innocent Luffy who hasn't had a clue what was really going on.. It really wasn't easy.
2 Years later, with Luffy being 8 now and they were 19, both trough they had did atleast a decent job in raising Luffy good and taking care of him. They were proud of him and proud of themself. Luffy wasn't as clueless anymore, Sabos injuries had helaed and even Ace wouldn't faint or freak out anymore if someone shot a gun within his hearing range. They had increased.
They both felt a clod chill going down their spine, having thought the same. They stared a look, now a tired smile on the lips. "Then let's go back to Arabaster." Sabo turned around, on his way to bring out the sea maps, when Ace stopped him. "We can think of which route we'll take, when we're at the island. You're going to bed now. I'll take watch." the last part was said in a stern voice. "get some rest. This mission wasn't easier for you, just because I was the one who went." He smiled at the blonde. They stared at each other for a moment, before Sabo actually gave in and nodded, downing his coffee after it. After that, they hugged. Having learned to show each other more openly affection, when they run away with Luffy so he would be used to it. They started to like it too and so they were doing it even if Luffy was absent.
Ace let go of him and smiled. "Oh. From where does you have your informations about the Whitebeards anyways?" he asked, when he suddenly reminds that he had wanted to ask him that. Sabo blushed slightly, but didn't say a thing. "Ohhhh ! I see, I see... Who called Koala again? It was my little brother who's having a crush on her for the last 2 years now! " "I didn't call! She did! She said she had heared that Whitbeard was heading towards this island!" Ace ruffled his hair. "Sure, sure. She had heard it and immediately thought 'oh, I have to call Sabo and tell him about this, he's planning a job, involving them' Yes. Absolutely. That's how it was." he laughed, before dodging a kick Sabo aimed at him. "Hey! What was that for?!" "I said stop making fun of her!" "Really? That's the part that angers you?! Ouch! Sabo! Hey! Put down the Mug! I said 'put down', and not 'throw it at me'! SABO!"

Four days later, they anchored at said island, Luffy was about to run off, wanting to see the flowerfield again, but was hold back by Sabo. "Nope. Luffy, you'll stay here until it's sure who of us is going with you. This time you cant go on your own. At least not for the first two days. Understand?" He ignored the whines he got, waiting for a clear response. He and Ace would prefer it too to just let him go and do things on his own, like every other Kid would do. But they had to be carefull, even if the Moby Dick wouldn't show up in the next 5 days. The brother's ship was much smaller, lighter and could be powered by Ace's Powers too, so they where much faster than them. And to be honest, they needed every minute they could get.
Luffy continued to complain how bored that would be and how he would be right back, he would just want to pick some pretty flowers for his Brothers. "I'm sorry, Lu, but no. We have to be careful, you can't. Not now." Luffy wailed, but grumpily crossed his arms, muttered a "Fine." and shut his mouth closed, staring at Sabo. (Why! That's not fair! I wanna go! Unfair!) Luffy thought, now also staring at Ace, who came outside and joined him and Sabo.
"Are you ready?" Sabo asked his Brother, eying the sheet of paper that he was holding. "Yep. We can go now. I checked the infirmary and the navigation room. I need new ink and we're running out of rubbing alcohol and band aid" He looked down at Luffy. "Hey. After we checked the island and stocked our supplies, you can go to your secret flower field, okay?" He gently rescued Luffy from Sabos grip. "Come on, Luffy, the sooner we can start here, the sooner we'll finish it." Luffy nodded, still sulking and glaring and jumped off the ship. "I'm starting to think he likes you more than me." Ace grinned "Nah. I just gave him some chocolate." he laughed and jumped down too, before Sabo could get a hold of him. Luffy munched his chocolate, now happy again, and took Ace's hand, to walk next to him, his other hand still holding the remaining sweet bribing material.
Sabo glared at them. (How am I supposed to work with those two!) He made sure he had enough money with him and that his own shopping list about food and fabric and also mechanic stuff he had to buy for their work, was with him too.
The whole shopping trip went uneventful. Ace didn't fell asleep, because he had taken his medicine, because they were on alert. Luffy didn't raid multiple candy stores, together with Ace or run off but stayed next to them all the time. And Sabo managed to get everything he needed. So after 3 hours, they had buyed everything and were now on their way back so they could store everything away.
Luffy was practically vibrating, he knew he could go within the next 20 minutes, so he was pretty exited. But then, the hunger hit. His brothers stopped, when he abruptly came to an hold, immediately on alert, looking worried. "Lu? What's wrong?" they asked, completely in sync, walking up to him and looking worried. Hey thougt, his ability was acting up again. He looked at them, placing both of his hands over his tummy, clutching his vest. "I'm hungry." he complained with a wobbly smile.
The brothers shared a look, smiling. "You're hungry? Hm... We're done with shopping and you can go exploring now. How about I give you some money and you can go buy something yummy?" Sabo offered. Luffy was 8, he was able to live on his own already. So he would be able to buy himself a meal, they had practiced it with him over and over again. Luffy nodded in agreement, his eyes sparkling in excitement. So Sabo wasted no time grabbed some money and handed it to Luffy. "Don't cause a ruckus, yeah? We'll join you later." Luffy hugged the blonde and then took off, making a bee-line towards the next bar. The brothers continued their way towards their ship. After their shopping trip, they would sail around the island and hide there, so their ship wouldn't be recognized that easily. If the Moby wouldn't anchor near the harbor, then they would sail back there. They needed to stay away from the whitebeards at all time. Or they would be dead.

Luffy dashed inside the bar, run up to the counter, jumped on the seat and slammed his hands down. "FOOD!" he exclaimed, before smiling up at the man in front of him. "please." His behaviour made the other people inside the bar, that had watched him, laugh. Luffy ignored them and waved with the money he had just gotten from Sabo. "Okay kid. What do you want?" the man behind the counter asked "Meat pleaseeeee" and so the men got to work. While Luffy was waiting impatiently, a woman asked him why he was alone. He didn't look away from the dish that was about to become his and just said, his brothers would come later. "They stealed from some pretty famous pirates, so now we're hiding from them." That got him the attention from half the people that were inside the bar too. "From who did they steal? Your dad? What does a kid like you know about famous pirates!" a man shouted across the bar, a Jolly Roger tattooed across his shoulder. Luffy didn't even glance at him, to occupied with watching his food. "The Whitebeards. Ace told me they're famous and well known, so he had to be extra careful! And he did it!" he said proudly. The bar went silent, everyone stared at the kid that looked so proud about his brother who apparently had managed to steal from whitebeard himself... If the kid wasn't lying. A rather big man walked up to him next and sat down, his men cleared the bar, making the other people leave.
"You said, your brother was the one who stealed from them?" the man waved at the Barkeper, wanton him to serve that kid, so it would continue to speak. The man did as he was told and placed the plate in front of the little kid with the strawhat.
Luffy beamed at the food and started to devour it, not aware that he, the bar man and the man with his piratecrew were the only ones left. "Are you sure it was your brother?" "YESSS! He and Sabo planned it for weeks! But he nearly got caught, so they had to change plans. I don't know what we're doing next... I'm not allowed to do something myself, I just live with them... But they rescued me from my Gramps, so yeah.. And I like it! I love sailing around!" Luffy rambled proudly, still devouring his food, not realising, he should shut up and not tell everyone about that. But it was too late now. The man nodded at his crew, now leaning closer to the kid. "Okay, and where is your brother?" one of his men left the Bar "He's coming soon. Why? I have money, I can pay my food myself?" Luffy said, finishing the plate and looking at the man. "Because he stole something from our Pops and we want it back."
