Chapter 3 – New Rome, Hestia's Blessing, Demeter's Revelations

LAST TIME WITH ALEXUS:

Alex's P.O.V.

"Now, because you will have to split into two forms and only one of your forms will be able to have the weapon Bacchus gave you, and because the Greeks don't know about imperial gold, I will give you a pen, 'reaper', that can turn into a celestial bronze sword." Demeter said. "Also, you will have to split into your two forms soon so that Bacchus can take you to the Roman camp and so that I can take you to the Greek camp. We'll give you a few minutes with your mother before we take your two forms to the camps."

After all the gods had left the room, I ran to my mum and hugged her with as much force as I could, while she scooped me up and returned the hug with even more force than me. I realised there were tears in my eyes as she put me down, but I wasn't embarrassed because the only person there was my mum.

"I love you mum." I said.

"I love you too my son." She replied, with tears streaming down her face as well.

Then, the gods came back into the room and I split into my two different forms, Alexandros and Alexus, before Bacchus and Demeter took my hand and there was a bright white light that surrounded both my forms before both my forms appeared in a place they didn't know but felt was safe.

NOW:

Alexus's P.O.V.

After Bacchus took my hand, I was surrounded by a bright, white light and I suddenly found myself in a place that I had never been before but felt safe. However, some armed people with Imperial gold Spears pointed at us suddenly appeared from behind the corner of a building and demanded: "Who are you, why are you here, and how did you get inside the Camp's defences?"

"How dare you point your weapons towards a god!" Bacchus boomed to the unlucky teens who hadn't looked at who they had threatened before threatening them. They then all bowed low and apologised profusely to my father and me. "Well, I'll let it slide as you were just doing your duty. Anyway, welcome to Camp Jupiter my son."

I was suddenly hit by the stunning Roman Architecture all around me, and gasped in delight. There was a replica of the Coliseum, a hall that looked like the sort of one the Roman Senators would have used, streets with people driving horse-drawn chariots and carriages, and more!

"Now, let's get you in a cohort of the legion my son." Said my father to me with a smile, before he started walking purposefully towards the building that looked like the house of the Roman Senate with his pinecone staff called a 'thyrsus' in his hand, with me following close behind him. People bowed to my father as they passed us, before we finally began climbing the mass of steps leading to the Senate House…

LAST TIME WITH ALEXANDROS:

Alexandros's P.O.V.

After Demeter took my hand, I was surrounded by a bright, white light and I suddenly found myself in a place that I had never been before but felt safe.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, my son." Said Demeter with a smile.

I saw loads of cool facilities and equipment, including an archery range, something that looked like an Ancient Greek Arena, a climbing wall over a pool of lava, and more, each with numerous children and teens appearing to be in them from all the shouting and chatter. I quickly went through my memory to see if I knew anything about Camp Half-Blood, and I found from my knowledge that it was a safe place for demigods, where demigods got training on how to defend themselves from monsters, survival and combat.

I heard something that sounded like a horse galloping towards us and I looked up in time to see a half-man and half-horse (which was called a Centaur, according to my knowledge) stop in front of us and bow to my mother.

"Lady Demeter, what a pleasure it is to be gifted by your presence." Exclaimed the Centaur, before turning his kind gaze on me. "And who might this young boy be?"

"I'll explain the details in private Chiron." Responded Demeter, before she looked at me. "Why don't you go and make some friends Alex?"

"Okay!" I said, excited at the prospect of meeting other like me, before I ran to a girl who looked about my age that was tending to a hearth, who I was interested in because she didn't seem to be interested in doing anything else except tend to the hearth.

NOW:

Alexandros's P.O.V.

"Hello!" I said to the girl cheerfully, trying to sound confident. "I'm Alexandros – who are you?"

"It's nice of someone to notice me young one. I am Hestia." the girl replied.

"Wait, Hestia? As in Hestia the goddess of the Hearth, Home and Family, Guardian of 'Elpis' aka hope, first child of Kronos and Rhea?"

"Yes." The girl who was supposedly Hestia confirmed with a smile, lighting her palm up with fire and summoning a freshly cooked waffle for both of us to prove it.

I immediately bowed to Hestia, before she told me to stop and explained that she did not like people bowing to her as she thought it made her look arrogant. After finishing the waffle, I asked: "But why do you just keep tending to the hearth instead of revealing yourself to everyone?"

"Well, I'm more of a peaceful goddess, and I prefer to stay out of the spotlight – that's my brothers' thing." Hestia responded. "Anyways, do you know who your godly parent is?"

"Well, I can tell you, but could you please swear on the Styx not to tell anyone?" I asked, afraid to tell Hestia that she had to as I did not want to incur the wrath of the first child of Kronos and Rhea.

"I, Hestia, first child of Kronos and Rhea, goddess of the Hearth, Home and Family, Guardian of 'Elpis', swear on the River Styx not to tell anyone about anything Perseus tells me from now until the end of this conversation without his consent."

"Well, to put it short, Apollo had a complicated prophecy to save Nature, so I ended up having four godly parents – Dionysus, Bacchus, Demeter and Ceres – and one clear-sighted mortal parent – Elsa Green-Glücksburg – and I became Pan's Champion and heir upon my birth. Also, just a few minutes ago, I was blessed by Apollo and Artemis/Diana as the prophecy instructed. Also, I have a Roman form and combined form – the Roman form is in Cap Jupiter."

"Wow! I don't think I've heard of a demigod with a story as interesting as that before – and that's saying something, as I've been alive since Ancient Greece!" Hestia said in amazement. "Well, seeing as you have so many powers already, I don't think it would actually hurt too much for me to give you my blessing, as I give my blessing to most of the demigods who notice me out of kindness and pure heart."

Hestia then put her thumb on my forehead, giving me powers over fire, food, healing, hope, and kindness, as well as knowledge on how to use them.

"Thank you, milady." I said seriously, about to bow before Hestia held up a hand to stop me.

"No need. I can sense you will grow up to be a great demigod, and possibly survive to be a fine man and then god after Pan fades."

Demeter's P.O.V.

Chiron started walking around nervously after my son left, wanting me to explain but too scared to ask me in case it incurred my wrath, so I finally said: "Well, Alexandros there was my son, and I know that although I told you not to expect any children from me, Zeus was too arrogant to make me swear an oath, so it's his fault. I have already claimed him so I want him in my cabin, and I expect you to take good care of him for me Chiron."

"Yes milady." The Centaur replied before bowing and galloping away to meet Alexandros.

Well, that's the 3rd Chapter of my first story! You should be able to expect the next few chapters to be a lot longer.
