"Check it out Dip- i mean you two!" Said Mabel Excitedly "I successfully bedazzled my face!"
Then she blinked , learning how painful it was
"Is that permanent?" Asked Dipper raising a brow stopping the game of cards he was playing with Myles
"Nope" said Myles
Myles then snapped his fingers and unbedazzled Mabel's face , the glittery stuff all floated on the table
"Thanks" said Mabel Smiling "hey wait! Can you make my face glitter using magic?"
"Yes?" Said Myles slowly as he saw Dipper shake his head vigorously
"Oh my gosh , you ha_" said Mabel but was cut off by the doorbell
"I'll go get the door" said Myles as he left for the door
And there he saw... Gideon
"Oh , it's you" said Myles in disappointment "what are you doing here?"
"Oh , it's grey hair , did more of your hair turn grey or am i going crazy?" Asked Gideon
"It did... it's a medical condition" deadpanned Myles "but that doesn't answer my question"
"Oh , of course , I'm here for your sister Mabel" said Gideon smiling
"And...why?" Asked Myles raising a brow before Mabel just ran to see
"Oh ,Mabel" said Gideon cheerfully
"It's widdle old you!" Said Mabel happily
"Yeah ,my song's pretty catchy
"I'm just gonna go" said Myles walking back inside
"Who's at the door?" Asked Dipper
"That insult to magic and all things magical" said Myles frowning "Gideon"
"Why's he here" asked Dipper raising a brow
"Mabel , but she can take of her self and since I was cheating anyways , I'm just gonna go read about magic" said Myles walking away
"Hey! Can I...read with you?" Asked Dipper "wait! You WERE cheating!"
"No and yes" said Myles walking up the stairs "bye!"

Dipper ignored Myles's refusal and went to their room to see what was happening
It turns out , reading about magic was normal... as in you could look at him and he's just reading a book , nothing fancy
"Dipper , no" deadpanned Myles as he read from his violet magic book
"I haven't asked you anything yet!" Said Dipper in surprise
"It's pretty obvious you're gonna ask about magic" said Myles looking up from his book
"Ok you're right" said Dipper "I just wanna know how it works , I have made theories an-"
"Slow down , just ask me what you need, no need for theories" said Myles pinching the bridge of his nose
"Ok , where does magic come from? How does it happen?" Asked Dipper curiously with a notebook in hand
"That's easy , you know those corny body energy tropes you find on tv shows and stuff , something like that , everyone has this energy , even some items have it, a wizard is someone who can use this energy to bend the laws of reality by mixing it with imagination ,using will AND OR emotions as catalysts" said Myles as he made the book in his hands float as a demonstration
"I see...wait! Everyone has this energy?" Asked Dipper as he finished writing "does that mea-"
"Yes and no" said Myles as the book went back to Myles's hands "it's possible but it's very dangerous and accidents can happen all the time , fatal accidents"
"But I never see you going through any magical accidents" said Dipper feeling doubtful
"That's because I have experience , an inexperienced wizard can many accidents" said Myles bitterly "like gigantifing a bug into a monster , or teleporting somewhere and ending up partially in a wall , or accidentally turning your homework into ice cream then your sister eats it before you could turn it back... I'm speaking from experience"
"So Mabel...ate your homework?" Asked Dipper remembering that day
"I never got over it" said Myles frowning "anyway , magic has it's dangers , if I didn't have this book with me , I wouldn't have turned out half of the wizard I am today"
"Can I_" said Dipper reaching for the book before Myles slapped his hand hard "ow!"
"Don't touch" said Myles frowning before pulling out his two other books "although I only have spells in these , you can read through them , but the purple one is off limits"
"Ok?" Replied Dipper to Myles's defensive attitude before taking the books
Then Dipper went down from the room to read the two spell books

Hey , you two" said Mabel walking towards Dipper with her new look
Dipper pushed her hand away
"What's up with the fingernails , you look like a wolverine" said Dipper closing the spell book
"I know right , rwaa" said Mabel as Myles walked down from upstairs "hey Myles look"
"Is this some sort of werewolf cosplay?" Asked Myles raising a brow
"No, I've been hanging out with my new pal Gideon , he's one dapper little man" said Mabel happily
"Mabel , I don't trust anyone who's hair is bigger than their head" said Dipper
"He's an insult to magic" said Myles crossing his arms
"Oh leave him alone , you two never wanna do girly stuff with me" said Mabel angrily "Dipper you get to do boy stuff with Soos all the time"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Asked Dipper
Then Soos entered the room asking Dipper if he wants to blow up some hotdogs in the microwave
Dipper excitedly accepted
"And Myles , it's not fun doing magic stuff with you when you're the only one who CAN do magic" said Mabel frowning
"... point taken" said Myles teleporting out of the room
Leaving Mabel to go hang out with Gideon

"It's not a date-date , it's just y'know , I didn't want to hurt his feelings" said Mabel as she played video games with Dipper "I figured I'd throw him a bone"
"Mabel , boys don't work that way , he's gonna fall in love with you" said Dipper smiling
"That's if he didn't fall in love with her already" said Myles eating some chips
"Pfft , I'm not that lovable" said Mabel before she one the game
"Ok , we agree on something here" said Dipper before the doorbell rang
Then Mabel went to open the door , only to be met with Gideon riding a horse
"Should we , do something about that?" Asked Myles eyeing the horse
"Mabel's the one who has to refuse him" said Dipper before throwing Mabel's controller to Myles "wanna play? , just don't cheat with magic"
"I make no promises" said Myles smiling

"Hey hey! What the jackal is Mabel doing in the paper next to that greasy pickpocket Gideon" said Stan frowning
"Oh yeah , it's like a big deal , everyone's talking about Gideon and Mabel's big date tonight" said Wendy holding up her phone
"WHAT! THAT LITTLE SHYSTER IS DATING MY GREAT NIECE!" Yelled Stan ripping the newspaper
"I wonder what their new name would be for the power couple" said Soos cheerfully "Mabideon?,Gideabel? *Gasp* Magedbeleon"
"I'm impressed at how fast you came up with that" said Myles cringing away from Soos
"Thanks dood" said Soos happily
"I didn't know, I didn't hear about it , plus I told her not to" said Dipper unconvincingly
"You're the living reason why wisdom and intelligence are different stats" said Myles frowning before earning a glare from Dipper
"Well it end tonight!" Said Stan angrily "I'm going to that little skunk's house ,and this is gonna stop right now!"
"Dood , wouldn't it be funny if that was a closet and he'd have to go back and go through the real door" said Soos before opening the door "nope real door"

"Hnnnng!..HNNNG!"
"Uhhh Dipper? What are you doing?" Asked Myles staring at the scene
Dipper was standing away from a table that had an apple on it , arms stretched with focus in mind
"Trying magic?" Said Dipper frowning "levitating something was the simplest thing I found"
"That's never gonna work , even if you can use magic , that's a minor spell that relies heavily on the caster" said Myles crossing his arms "and I have to remind you , magic is dangerous unsupervised , don't try it"
"How is magic taught anyway , I can't imagine young wizards having to sit for hours trying to channel some weird magical power to make something float" said Dipper tiredly
"Of course they don't , they use a training wand" said Myles
"A training wand?" Asked Dipper "did you use one too?"
"No , I used an adult wand" said Myles looking down "my... mentor thought it'd be a good idea to make me use a real wand instead of a real one , to make me more familiar with magic ,it was super reckless but she was proven right since I quickly outgrew my wand, though I still keep the wand in case I need it , no I'm not giving it to you , it's dangerous , it's an adult wand not a safe training one"
Dipper drooped before he could even ask the question
Then they saw Mabel walk by them
"So , uh , how did it go?" Asked Dipper with concern
"I don't know, I have a lobster now" said Mabel glumly
"At least it's over and you won't ever have to go out with him again" said Dipper smiling only to be met with silence
"You couldn't tell him no , again" said Myles frowning
"Blargh! yes! I didn't know how to tell him!" Said Mabel in shock
"Just like this "no"" said Dipper
"It's not that easy Dipper!" Said Mabel frowning "and I do like Gideon , as a friend/little sister! I didn't wanna hurt his feelings , I just need to get things back to how they used to be , y'know! Friends"
"I doubt this'll work" said Myles cheerfully

Dipper , you won't find the wand , stop being curious" said Myles Frowning as he saw Dipper looking around the room "the only reason I told you it exists is that there's real danger in gravity falls and I may need someone to remind me it exists, otherwise you wouldn't have heard of it"
"C'mon , it's magic! How can I NOT be curious" yelled Dipper frowning
"Fair point but try to resist the temptation" said Myles as he made Dipper float "imagine you float from somewhere high up then suddenly fall"
"Ok , I understand that" said Dipper shivering at the thought "but why don't you just supervise my magic usage"
"I'm too young to be a mentor" said Myles frowning
"Not a mentor , you'll just watch" said Dipper
"That's...what a mentor is for wizards" said Myles frowning as he floated Dipper behind him as he went down the stairs "mentors don't teach you spells unless you ask them , otherwise they just give you the books and sit around you to make sure you won't kill yourself by accident like some sort of twisted babysitter"
This got an "oh" of acknowledgment from Dipper who was still floating
Then they saw Mabel , moving around stressed
"What in the heck happened on that date?" Asked Dipper earning a confused gaze from Mabel
Myles snapped his fingers and Dipper fell on the ground with a yelp
"I don't know! I was in the friend zone and before I knew what was happening , he pulled me into the romance zone!" Said Mabel stressfully "like quicksand! Chubby quicksand! Myles! Is there a way to magic my way out of this? Like an anti love spell or something!"
"There is a spell like that...but it'll make Gideon disgusted by you forever" said Myles crossing his arms "so you can't be his friend anymore"
"Is there seriously NO spell that can just put me in his friend zone" said Mabel shaking Myles
"I don't think so! Nobody bothered to make a spell for that! It's all either love or hate , nothing in the middle" said Myles freeing himself from Mabel "well , other than mind control of course but that too unethical for you isn't it?"
He earned a frown from Mabel
"Oh calm down Mabel , it's not like you'll have to marry Gideon" said Dipper jokingly
Then Stan barged into the room yelling that she has to marry Gideon
And after explaining , Mabel ran away to her room
And Dipper decided to end this by telling him that Mabel doesn't wanna go out with him
Dipper would've liked a magical disguise made by Myles but he refused saying that Gideon might notice
And Myles had to sit down and comfort Mabel
And what the best way if not magic!

"Giant hamster ball!" Yelled Mabel happily as she rolled in it , bumping into furniture here and there
"Hey, be careful! I used a full tree to make that" said Myles Frowning
"Hamster ball!" Yelled Mabel instead of replying , breaking a hole in the wall
"I regret giving that hamster ball to you" said Myles as he snapped his fingers and put the wall back together

"Hit me dood" said Soos after putting pillows under his shirt
Then the three pines jumped at it happily
"Ah , I'm so glad everything is back to normal" said Mabel before the phone started ringing
Then Dipper had to be the one to pick it up
"And Myles , thanks for cheering me up with the hamster ball and all" said Mabel smiling
"Aah it was nothing" said Myles smiling
"Hey...do you think I should've given Gideon a proper... you know" said Mabel sadly
"I'm a wizard Mabel , my sense of romance is as bad a widow spider" said Myles rolling his eyes "the least harmful tip to a person's heart is pretty awful as well"
"Ooh , tell me" said Mabel cheerfully
"The shortest path to a person's heart is not thought their stomach nor their ribcage but through charming illusions not casted on yourself" said Myles smiling
"That's awful advice" said Mabel cheerfully before becoming glum "I need to tell Gideon myself"
And thus they went to the warehouse

When they reached Gideon's warehouse , the first things they saw when they entered was Gideon trying to murder Dipper
"Gideon! We have to talk!" Said Mabel barging in
"M-mabel , marshmalla" said Gideon *innocently* "what are you doing here?"
Then Mabel broke it to him , he tightned his magical grip on Dipper by accident
"But we can still be makeover buddies right?" Said Mabel
"Really?" Asked Gideon hopefully
"Nope" said Myles snapping his fingers , freeing Dipper and moving him behind him
"Yeah! You were trying to kill my brother! What the heck?!" Said Mabel angrily
Gideon tightened his grip on his amulet
But nothing happened
"What?!" Said Gideon before lifting a nearby box to check if the amulet still worked
And it did
"Why aren't my powers workin against you?" Asked Gideon angrily
"Oh , I guess that thing doesn't come with a manual does it?" Said Myles laughing "when two magical forces affect an object the dominant one's effect wins and the difference between the two forces is how easily the force can affect the object ,and"
But before Myles completed the scentence , he snapped his fingers and Gideon began to float
"You can probably guess" said Myles before moving Gideon around nonchalantly "I'm much much more powerful than that amulet"
"Oh no" said Gideon in realization
Then Myles took the amulet and let Gideon go
He swore vengeance but Myles zapped his butt
Dipper wanted to destroy the amulet but Myles took it and told Dipper he'll remove any potential side-effects from and they can keep it
And they went home to a Stan who hated Gideon again
