Chapter 3 (Bubbles' Variant): Three Cats, Three Mice

Outfitted with a water-breathing mask, and goggles, Bubbles was using her flight to propel herself forward through the water; passing by fish and other marine life. No sign of Hydris yet. "I hope that locater wasn't lying; cause if it was, me and Mojo are gonna have a serious word about his machine." She was cursed with rotten luck at the moment if you couldn't tell. Then, off in the distance, she spotted a vicious spinning column of water; it must've been causing all the whirlpools she saw before jumping into the water. "I think I may have found it." She said to herself; now she just has to find a way to plug it up. She swam over to a piece of earth, and removed it from the rocks; she shoved it into the socket the swirling columns were emerging from. "Well... that's one and done; now for the others." Bubbles was then stopped by a violent torrent of water. Spinning through the torrent, she had to regain herself. So she swam down, and held onto a coral branch. The torrent stopped, and Hydris revealed herself.

"So. You're one of those heroes; am I right?" Hydris asked.

"Uh... nope. That wouldn't be me; you must be looking for someone that looks like me." Bubbles lied.

"Save it. It was rhetorical anyways; now if you honestly think you can stop my little bit of fun here, you're dead wrong." Hydris told her. "Beware, Powerpuff Girl! For a watery grave awaits you!"

*Bubbles! V.S. Hydris!*

Hydris revealed her two bottom arm rotors, and swam towards Bubbles using her upper arm rotors. She held out her arm, making Hydris crash into her; she grabbed Hydris by both her right arms and spun her around in the water, being careful not to create another violent whirlpool. She threw her as soon as Hydris started mysteriously glowing. "I'm honestly impressed by your strength... but you're no match for the power of an Elementalist!" Her arms attached themselves to each other, and formed two huge squid tentacles covered in spines. Inside the holes of the suction cups, she shot out a barrage of urchins. Bubbles tried swimming as fast as she could, but was struck by at least nine smaller urchins.

"YEOWCH!" She yelped in extreme pain. Hydris saw this as a chance to attack; but when she least expected it, Bubbles spun around, throwing the urchins off her that homed in on Hydris.

"What is this trickery!?" Hydris yelled as she was pierced by urchins. Her body started glitching slightly. "Oy. That's it; no more Mrs. Nice Girl."

"You were never nice to begin with!" Bubbles reminded her.

"True, and you definitely won't like this." Hydris then shot under the ground... then multiple limbs in the shape of needles poked out from the earth. Hydris' spirit beast had taken form. Underneath her was an enormous urchin with purple, angry eyes, and above the urchin was a smaller squid tentacled creature with a shell. Her spirit beast was named: 'Radiant Nautilus'. It pushed the urchin towards Bubbles' position.

"Uh-oh." She said. Bubbles then took evasive maneuvers and shot up out of the water. "Wait... that's right!" Bubbles then took off the mask and goggles and yelled out. "Hey Hydris! If you're no coward, then why don't you jump out of the water and fight me for real!?" A digital growl was heard; and the Radiant Nautilus shot out of the water; levitating in the air. "Now that you're up here, we can fight fairly." Bubbles shot towards Radiant Nautilus, and fired her lasers with horrible accuracy. But this was on purpose however, because Radiant Nautilus immediately began taunting her. Bubbles then broke the fourth wall by winking at us and punched Radiant Nautilus (with a slow motion effect) back into a hole where a whirlpool was formed. Although water was her specialty, it was also about to be her downfall; the spirit beast was sucked into the vortex's hole, and an explosion occurred directly afterwards; killing off every whirlpool in sight, and making the weather a lot more enjoyable (apart from the dark night sky), and turning grey clouds a lush white. Hydris' body was thrown out of the water, but she wasn't giving up; using a dolphin as her 'getaway vehicle', she was trying to distance herself so her powers would return immediately. "I don't think so! Sorry about this dolphin..." She shot her lasers to Hydris' location and shot her clean off the dolphin.

"Not cool!" She yelled as she was thrown off, and onto solid ground she landed.

Bubbles approached her and said: "I was hoping for a more peaceful route to have been taken; but I guess I was stupid for thinking that huh?

"You've always been stupid." Hydris insulted her.

"No. Not stupid; I've always been the optimistic Powerpuff Girl; the one who was known to bring smiling faces to those that weren't; the one who strived to do her best at making the world a happier place; the one... who will stop you; and it seems that last one has been completed." She explained. She then stomped on Hydris' backside, and watched as her body disintegrated; leaving a blue gem in her place. Bubbles picked up the gem and threw it to the ground. She watched as it shattered. "Well I got her... here's to hoping the others got theirs." Bubbles then proceeded to fly back to Mojo's lair.

*Cut to Apoco; who is watching a shortened playback of what just happened*

"Ugh... this is why I prefer to handle all our problems solo..." Apoco said; looking mildly annoyed. "Although... it's not much to worry about. Burntha and Rocko are still up and causing destruction; they'll surely have trouble with them."

"The second one is down already!? Rotten Bubbles... she has more grit than I thought." Apoco said with a sneer. "Hm... but I bet there's a way to break through her soft exterior... *small chuckle* beware Bubbles; for you have just became a prime target."

*Cut to Apoco; who is swatting angrily at the vision he saw of Bubbles defeating Hydris*

"Gaah! That was the last of those three!" Apoco's feet snakes hissed angrily. He spread out his wings and flew down to an empty field. "They won't live long though; because now, it's me they're after... and they won't like me; no they won't!" He then transported back to his hideaway.
