Sakura woke up at around 6.30 am when the morning rays decided to assault her sleep. She opened her eyes and yawned. Soon, she sat and stretched a bit before deciding to continue her day. She looked at the couch to see Sasuke sleeping peacefully on the couch. She felt pity when she realized that he would have a bad pain in his neck when he wakes up. Soundlessly, she went to the bathroom to complete her morning routine.
At around 7.00 a.m., she completed having her breakfast to leave the house for work at Uchiha Corps. She soon reached the office after 20 mintues of driving. She knocked on Fugaku's door to ask for the documents she would be working on. She knocked the door and entered when she was allowed.
"Sir, I need the documents."
"Sakura-san, you don't need to call me sir anymore. Afterall, you are my daughter-in-law now."
Hearing this made Sakura upset once again. She realized that she was no more Haruno-san but Sakura-san because she was married to his son. Nevertheless, she smiled faintly and nodded. Fugaku handed over the documents to her and she begun with her office word.
At around 5.00 pm in the evening, she put away her work to go back to the Uchiha Manor. Reaching back to her house, she changed into more comfortable clothes and began to cook. Mikoto and Fugaku had some important meeting to attend to so she was supposed to cook. She heard from Mikoto that her son likedd dishes of tomato. She made tomato roast and tomato soup with garlic bread.
She sat at the dinner table waiting for Sasuke. She took out a book from the library to read. At around 10.00 pm, she felt disappointed to see the unattended food on the table. She laid her elbows on the table and placed her head on the table. She dozed off to sleep. At 11.00 pm, she woke up to the sound of the doors opening and closing and saw Sasuke entering the room. He was wearing a suit and his tie was loose with the top two buttons opened.
Sasuke flickered his gaze towards Sakura and the food and felt guilty. He knew that his parents wouldn't be at home so he had his dinner in his office. He didn't expect Sakura to make dinner and wait for him. He realized he should have informed her earlier. He muttered an apology saying that he was full and went back to his room.
Disappointed with his answer, Sakura washed the plates and stored the extra food in the refrigerator. Maybe, next day would be better for them. She ate her dinner and went back to their room with a self depreciating smirk at the irony of "their" room. Another day came to an abrupt and sad end.
