All Flashback from Alex's story from the last chapter
Seventeen year stepped off the Nationals ice, after skating her heart out on her short program. She jumped into Donnelly's arms knowing she did a great job with no mistakes. She walked to the kiss and cry. She saw at the corner of her eye eighteen year old Abbie Carmichael standing in the corridor smiling at her.
"Alexandra focus. You can talk to her once we get your scores." Elizabeth corrected her top student's behavior.
They sat down in the kiss and cry. Elizabeth gave her bottle of water and gave Alex a look. Alex caught the look, "What did I do wrong?"
Elizabeth smiled at the teenager. She proudly shook her head. "You were amazing. Don't get cocky, we still have the free tomorrow." She firmly fixed the compliment. They watched the scores pop on the small screen, her artistic and technical scores were high and even.
"I can live with these scores," She walked off with Elizabeth to take a brief moment.
"Alexandra." Elizabeth tried keeping a teenager focus.
"What?" She sighed out. "I'm twenty points ahead of everyone else. Olympics here I come." Alex knew her dreams were ready to come true within thirty six hours.
"That's if you skate clean tomorrow." Liz knew her skater, "I need you to be at the mixer on time. Your mother will kill me if you aren't there."
Alex rolled her eyes at her surrogate mother, "I know, but she won't be here until tomorrow. Can I please go see Abby?" Alex put her hands up in a pleading position following puppy dog eyes. "I think I earned four hours of me time?"
"Three hours." Elizabeth corrected the time knowing Alex didn't need to cut it too close in time. "But yes go have fun."Elizabeth rolled her eyes and nodded her head.
"Thank you! You won't regret it, I'll be in your room in three to four hours." She walked as fast as she could to Abbie.
They headed immediately to the locker room to get changed. Alex straddled the bench in front her locker she chose for the day. She quickly took off her boots. Abbie sat behind Alex. She placed one hand on Alex's thigh. She placed soft kisses on the back of Alex's neck. "You did great out there."
Alex rolled her eyes, with the touch of her girlfriend. She bit her bottom lip to try and focus on changing. Abby slid her hand up Alex's stomach to close the gap in between them. Alex finally exhaled as she leaned forward. Abbie's hands found the zipper to reveal Alex's bare back.
Alex quickly got out of her seductive trance, as they heard a girl coming into the locker room, complaining. Alex jumped up to finish changing. "Donnelly, gave us three hours to figure out we are wearing for tonight." She quickly changed the subject.
"Okay," Abbie smirked watching her girlfriend revealing her half naked body as she took off her costume.
"You two still don't know what you are wearing?" Jessica Rossi turned up her nose as she opened her locker.
"Well there is never a bad time to go shopping." Alex suggested as she put on her jeans and her favorite t-shirt.
"Yeah and Alex just earned a reason to have a new dress." Abbie snapped at the brunette crossing her arms at Alex's competition.
"Right." Jessica began to undress, "Because I brag over the short."
"According to your scores. You have more to worry about than the short." Abbie's southern accent shines around Jessica. "At least Alex can land her triple axel in competition." She stood up next to Jessica. "And don't choke with an under rotated jump and fall on her butt."
"Abbie." Alex didn't want to have tension between the other skaters. She packed her suitcase.
"Yeah I'm going to listen to smack talk from the girl that have never skated singles."
"Singles or pairs. My partner and I got our medal today and we are going to Worlds and the Olympics." She grabbed the blonde's suitcase. "And tomorrow Alex will be announced that she has made the Olympic team." She rolled the suitcase past the bitchy brunette.
"You did great today." Alex smiled at Jessica and ran to catch up to her girlfriend. "Hey that wasn't nice."
"Fuck her. She deserved it. She tried to start it." Abbie stopped to look at the blue eyed blonde, "So we have three hours?"
"I told Liz, I will be in her room dressed ready for tonight." She looked at her watch. "Three hours. She doesn't want to piss off mom if I'm late."
"We don't need three hours." She smiled, knowing her girlfriend's body. "Yes we can't piss off Jane." Abbie rolled her eyes at Alex's crazy mother. She stepped closer to her girlfriend.
Alex resisted with all of her power to not touch her girlfriend in public. "So let's stop wasting time. And Let's go."
Alex and Abbie took full advantage of their free time from competition and networking. Alex loved going down on Abbie. She loved hearing the pleasure sounds coming out of the brunette. She loved having control in the bedroom just like having control on the ice.
Abbie managed to get the blonde to ride her face. Alex was clawing at the wall behind her as Abbie massaged her perky chest. The deeper Abbie's tongue went the more Alex grinded against Abbie. "A…" Alex squeaked out. "A…"
"Alexandra Cabot!" Jane Cabot yelled walking into the room she paid for Alex for the week.
Alex's eyes quickly opened and her head spun to the voice. "Mom!" She jumped off the bed grabbing her bathrobe. She didn't need to worry about Abbie who grabbed the sheet to cover up just as fast Alex did, "What are you doing here. I thought you weren't going to be here until tomorrow?" She tried to be calm about her mother walking on them.
Jane locked eyes with Abbie who wasn't moving. "I was told to come to the mixer. There are a couple scouts that are wanting to sponsor you, and you are probably going to win this year."
Alex positioned herself to be in between the two. "She skated her heart out today." Abbie opened her mouth to the woman she couldn't stand.
"Get out of this room." Jane commanded.
"Excuse me."
"Mom can't we talk about this." Alex stood next to her mother.
Jane refused to look at her daughter. She threw Abbie's clothes at her, "I said get the hell out of my room. And once you are out you are not to come in contact with my daughter."
Abbie slowly rose from the bed as she looked at Alex. Alex's heart was getting ripped out of her chest by her mother. "You can't do that."
"I don't need you to influence my daughter on your lifestyle."
"Get a clue Jane, your daughter is gay." Abbie sassed out getting dressed. "And We're not going to stop."
Alex cleared her throat trying to stay strong against her mother. "We love each other, and there is no way we'll stop seeing each other." She stood next to Abbie and held her hand.
"Not if I can help it."
"You can't help it!" Alex raised her voice. "We see each other every day. We train at the same rink and have the same coach."
"Does Donnelly know about you two?" Jane snapped as she grabbed Abbie to walk her out of the room.
"No! Mom you are overreacting." Alex followed Jane and Abbie's footsteps.
Jane pushed Abbie out of the room, "Speak to my daughter at the mixer or again I'll make you regret it." She slammed the door shut. She did a one-eighty to look at Alex, "I'm going to ask you one more time." She narrowed in her sights to Alex. "Does coach Donnelly know about you two?"
Alex clinched her fist together tightly to try to keep her compositor, "No! She knows nothing about us." Alex didn't hesitate to lie about Donnelly knowing about her and Abbie. "But I'm still going to see Abbie."
"Great if that's how you want it. You're done with Donnelly." Jane grabbed Alex's phone to prevent her from calling Abbie.
"Mom!" Alex choked out. "You can't just drop me from Donnelly. I have my free tomorrow."
"You don't need her, and I'm not paying her to make you whatever you are. And you are certainly not training next to That thing." Jane couldn't look at her daughter with out seeing Alex in a homosexual activity. Jane walked out the room slamming the door shut.
Alex couldn't breathe as she watched her mother ripping everything from her in a mere five minutes. Alex held her chest as her heart raced. Tears streamed down her face. She quickly grabbed a dress to throw on to race her mother to Elizabeth's room.
Alex walked down the hall of the coaches to see her mom yelling at the most important person to Alex. Elizabeth noticed the destroyed Alex standing near them. She saw Alex shaking her head Liz. "No Mrs. Cabot I knew nothing about the two. They told me that they were going shopping for tonight. Which I have to get ready for."
"You're done Elizabeth. You are no longer coaching my daughter."
"I have to go over our contract but…"
"Figure out how much I have to pay out and you'll get your check when we get back. But stay the hell away from my daughter." Jane snapped at Elizabeth.
"You can't throw everyone out of my life because you don't like who I am." Alex's voice trembled not knowing how to cope with anything at the moment.
Jane turned back to her daughter, "Watch me. You are an elite athlete that will marry a man."
Alex didn't want to be near her out of control mother. "I hate you!" Jane's hand reacted sharply. Alex never spoke those words to her mother and was never hit by her mother. "Don't come tomorrow. I don't want you there." She ran into Elizabeth's room.
Elizabeth quickly closed the door. Alex collapsed on the floor with her whole world just wrecked. "I can't breathe." Alex couldn't keep anything together in her head.
Elizabeth sat down next to her pupil. She held Alex's shaking hand, "Look at me."
Alex looked into the older eyes, "You can't leave me." Alex pleaded. "What am I going to do tomorrow?"
Elizabeth wiped Alex's tears away, "You are going to do amazing. You are going to ignore your mother."
"She just made Abbie and I break up. Why is she doing this."
Liz pulled Alex in for the hug she desperately needed. "I'm not going anywhere. But your mother just needs a cool down. No matter what happens. I will always be here for you." Alex couldn't stop sobbing as she pulled her coach in tighter not wanting to let go.
The night was rough. Alex refused to go to the mixer if she couldn't be around her friends and coach. Jane wouldn't give Alex her phone back; she was cut off from everyone. Alex couldn't sleep all night. She went to breakfast and refused to eat before and after her morning work out.
Alex couldn't get out of her head during warm ups. She was the last skater out on the ice. This was supposed to be her year. She has four minutes between her and a gold medal. She stepped out onto the ice without Donnelly nagging at her about something. She didn't have Abbie on the sidelines cheering her on. She didn't sleep. Her mother was the loudest in the audience when she told her not to come. Everything she has worked for was relying on a not clear mind and four minutes.
She positioned herself to start her program. Prokofiev Romeo and Juliet started. Alex let her muscle memory move with the sounds. She got herself to the speed she needed to jump her first jump. In mid air her heart went straight to Abbie who helped her choose this song. They thought it would be a nice change from her other selection. Alex's foot missed the landing. She immediately fell on her knee.
She shook off the fall. She tried to hold back her tears that were coming to her eyes. Her eyes were now getting a blurry vision on National ice. She was ready to give up and skate off the ice. She instead skated the rest of her program terribly.
She was in the locker room. She still was able to place fifth even with all of her mistakes. Alex was fully dressed in her street clothes. She was packing things up. "Don't worry dear. This wasn't your year." Jane came into the locker trying to cheer up her daughter.
Alex held her uncovered boot in her hand with the blade resting her palm. Alex exhaled as she slammed her locker shut. "No mom this WAS my year, And you took everything from me."
"Alexandra being a little over dramatic don't you think?"
Alex tightened her grip on her blade, not being bothered by the pain she was causing. She was already so numb to care. "You don't…" Alex bit her tongue from saying anything else. "Forget it. You don't care. And I'm not dropping coach. She got me this far, I'm finding someone new." She threw her skates in her bag to go wash the blood off her hand.
I hope you enjoy
