Kronos POV

I hear quiet sobbing from Perseus's room . I grow agitated . I am in the middle of a meeting with my family . I think about the prophecy I had received a millennia ago . Is he really the one ? I turn my head , everyone is looking at me expectantly . Hyperion chuckles and says " Are you going soft brother ? " Now if he had said that in the old days I would have sent him to tartarus but I have gotten better now . Am I really ? Am I really getting too soft ? I look to hyperion and he says " Well I suppose you should check on Jackson . " I glare at him , who does he think he is ! He chuckles . I get up and leave and rush towards Perseus's room . I leave behind the others not caring about the whispers.

Percy POV

Kronos rushes in . He must have heard me sobbing like an idiot . He has probably come to tell me to shut up ! Instead he walks over to me and puts an arm around me. I look at him for a second and he nods . I put my head on his shoulder and sob it all out . After a while I look up into his golden eyes . He smiles charmingly at me , I smile weakly back . That is what is nice about kronos. He doesn't make me answer questions I don't want to , he is just there and he let's me pour my heart out to him . Slowly he says

" Would you like to watch a film or something " I giggle and sprint over to where the DVDs are carefully avoiding a certain collection and I choose Call me by Your name . When he sees it he pulls a face but I giggle. The movie plays

Once we had finished, Kronos started to get up but I grabbed his hand and pulled him down again and I say

" so you know that I feel like sobbing so what makes you so bitter and angry . "

Kronos freezes but then relaxes .

Kronos says " I was the youngest of 12 and I was always pushed aside , my own parents didn't know my name and they didn't bother to learn it . " He falters and I take his hand again . He looks surprised then smiles and continues.

" So when I had the opportunity to kill my father, I took it . I had been promised power and recognition. I knew it was wrong but I so badly wanted to be recognized and loved . Then when my father cursed me so that the gods would eventually overthrow me , I became paranoid . My father also told me I would fall in love with the wrong person so perhaps my father did care for me or perhaps he was being cruel again . Then when i had my children i was terrified that they would never love me and betray me so i ate them . " He stops and looks at me . I crawl closer and sit next to him and I slowly lean in and kiss him.

After a minute Leto walks in on us and stutters " Sorry …. My …. Lord " Kronos looks away whilst I blush , she quickly leaves . I pause . Kronos quickly stood up and left the room . Great , now I am alone again. 10 minutes later Hyperion comes strutting into the room . He smirks at me and says teasingly .

" So did you and my brother have some fun today ? Did you kiss ? Let me guess he gave you a sob story on how he was the youngest and life was so unfair until he met you ? " He smirks again and I kick him in the shin and he dramatically says " OW !!!!

So did you kiss ? " I blush and nod . He smiles brightly , just like Kronos's eyes …. Argh kronos is infecting .

Hyperion struts out leaving me alone again. I walk over to the book shelf and choose one . I know ! Percy reading a book , the earth has turned upside down? I decide to read the mortal instruments
