"The sunshine is waiting for you, Pyrrha! Wake up!"

Nora's voice almost boomed throughout the apartment and I just opened my eyes because of it. She is grinning at me while I am still lying on the mattress. From what I just knew, last night she was different, and I start to get baffled because of the sudden change of her mood.

She had opened the drapes and it hung on two sides from the window, so it is merely hard for me to look right through it because of the blazing sun. Nora is humming while she is standing beside the table near the refrigerator. I saw her pour something from the mug and by the smell of it, I can tell she made us some coffee. She handed me the mug as I sat down on my mattress. Nora just keeps on smiling at me and as she takes a sip of coffee, she clears her throat and from her pink skirt's pocket, she shows me a folded paper.

"Guess what Pyrrha, I have a new job!" She chirped happily.

I looked at her surprisingly while I took a sip from the mug. "Really, Nora? What kind of job is it?"

"I just had my flower shop! Well, I just woke up early probably around five in the morning because I was also planning to look for a job. You can say I'm lucky because now the shop owner is handing me his flower shop. He said he will go back to Tokyo and continue his business there. He is so kind. He was the first person I came to talk to about finding jobs and he handed me one!"

Nora made a soft squeal from excitement and I just giggled at her. I looked down at my coffee, the aroma of it is journeying itself through my nostrils. I also have to do something but before that, I have to get to the agency. I asked Nora if she wanted to come with me, but she said that she has to take care of the shop and that she will start now. After we had fixed ourselves, Nora and I left our apartment rooms. She took the other way to get to her shop, probably it is on the other street while I keep my distance straight to get to the Armed Detective Agency. I took the cell phone from my sling bag and saw a message from the boss. I still couldn't believe that I am going to be found here by a person who is never familiar with me though he knew who I am. I can't seem to find any explanation for it, I don't even know if they sent us here for some reason.

"You guys, I just found a new mission for us!" I announced.

The ladies were just busy taking care of themselves, Weiss is combing her hair in front of the mirror, Blake is already wearing her long, white tailcoat over her black top while Ruby just got her silver eyes at me, a surprised and glimmering one.

"Really, sis?! What mission?" Ruby asked, excitement in her tone.

I smiled at her while she just kept hopping in front of me waiting for me to speak again. I asked her to calm down a bit so that I could explain more about what we will have to do for today. Blake and Weiss came closer towards me and Ruby, and from the paper, the four of us are looking, it read about a retirement home in Naka Ward.

We read the entire admission, it just says that help raise the retirement home some money so that the old people could just keep the house for themselves and for the wardens to have a fair salary. I scratched my head and raised my eyebrow at the paper. Weiss murmured in a question as she put her hand under her chin. Ruby changed her mood into a confused one while Blake just stared at the paper I am holding. We start to glance at each other, each of us with questions in our eyes. I keep re-reading the whole admission but it will never change like just some magic can fix it.

"How are we exactly going to raise money to save the retirement home?" Ruby asked.

"Fundraising?" Weiss replied in a question.

"That's too common," I retorted.

"How are we going to do fundraising when there are only four of us?" Blake added.

"Good point."

"We should ask for help from some people. They are nice people anyway," Ruby suggested.

"To do that, let's split for a while," Weiss recommended.

"You are actually going to do it?" I asked. Just by the thought of it seems like we are students of some public school or worse, digging for gold.

"The money is not for us, just think that we are doing it for the old people," Weiss advised like she just read my mind.

I don't have any other choice. We left the apartment and started to scour the streets. If this plan works, I won't be surprised but looking for people who can be a big help is such a nuisance sometimes. People are just helping you and after that, they will be asking for returns, while others just seem so angry because of it.

Ruby told us the directions and she will be going straight for the retirement home so she can meet whoever just posted the paper somewhere from the city. I just came across it this morning when I bought something for breakfast and it was on the ground. Blake and I have to get to where the market is because it is a chance where many people are there. Weiss is all by herself to talk to people from the stores. I don't even know why I have to agree with this, this is just getting weirder. It looks like we are beggars asking for some spare change.

Blake and I are like students who are late for class sprinting across the streets swiftly than we could ever do. It is also as if we are chasing before a robber who just snatched a bag away from a nice yet naïve lady. Blake told me to slow down a bit because she believed the retirement home can wait.

"It can't wait if some private company will take it away in an hour," I looked at her while we kept on running.

"Yang!"

Blake's eyes diverted its attention after me when she yapped my name. I turned back to my front and it was all too late when I realized that I stumbled bottom first on the ground. I rubbed my head and arm while my eyes are recovering from narrowing, then I saw someone in front of me who is also on the ground sitting and rubbing the back of his head while his eyes still closed.

It was a white-haired boy, with a bad haircut yet he is still good-looking. He is on suspenders on his white shirt and I get to stare at him to make sure if I ever knew him or not. Behind him is a black-haired guy in his black clothes who is also glancing at Blake I think.

"I-I'm sorry! I was-"

"No, it's okay!"

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah."

He just smiled kindly at me then both of us stood up from the ground. I felt Blake's hand on my shoulders then glanced back at her. The guy and I just laughed awkwardly because of our clumsiness. I didn't even get to know his name when the other guy just pulled him by his arm then called him "jinko". They walked past us and we followed them with our gaze.

"Did he just call him weretiger?" Blake mumbled in question.

"Weird," I murmured.

[Weiss Schnee]

I almost circled half of the city which is closer to the market passing by a lot of stores and restaurants. I still couldn't find what I am looking for which are people who are willing to give support. I have already talked to some people and most of them just ignored me. Though, others are just staring at me and my rapier at my side. They must have thought that I have lost my way and I don't have any idea what I am doing here. The way I dressed just made them all look baffled and surprised at the same time.

Of course, I know what to do. I have a mission with my friends and we must accomplish it, but these people seem like they are holding me in restraint. I shouldn't have believed Ruby, not everyone in this place are nice.

People are ceasing to scatter around the streets where I get to the end where there is a small stone bridge in front of me and closer to it is a mildly empty store. I don't see too many airheads walking so the only hope I have is that store which looks like it is newly renovated and unblemished. The road is narrow and an alleyway is facing the store. I slowly peeked inside and my eyes stared in awe at the store especially at the woman who is sweeping inside. Her orange hair is shoulder length, the midnight blue jacket and the pink skirt is vibrantly showing from the store.

I didn't hesitate to go inside besides she knows me as much as I know her. I can't believe that she is here too! I raised my eyebrows and walked straight to the store. As the glass door opens, tiny bell jingles from above the door. The lady turned to me and she gasped with her hands on her mouth.

"Weiss!" Nora exclaimed. She is happily hopping then comes to me to hug me. I smiled in relief and embraced Nora back. Around the store are flowers of different kinds and they are colorful especially when they can be viewed from the outside. Still, the store needs to have a bit of a make-over.

I wasn't the only one who got to the retirement home instead I got to be with angry ginger again. The house has been living since the 1960s and now some old people are dying from an overdose. It never happened back then and we are so confounded about why is this happening now. Today, the wardens saw over fifteen old people were seen in their rooms not even moving an inch. I got inside one of the rooms and I keep seeing bottles of medicines, the ones that are needed for old people's medications and supplements. Everything has gone wrong, the retirement home falling into shreds while the wardens are wallowing themselves in trauma.

"This is stupid. Who could have given old people the wrong medicine?" Chuuya irritatingly said.

"You mean poison?" I smiled at him.

"That good for nothing asshole."

Overdosing from poison, and by the thought of it I can't help myself but stare at the medicine bottle I was just holding. It is just this little, orange bottle without any labels. These are not the medications that are being sent even I can't tell myself why would someone kill a dozen of old people from a retirement home.

We told the workers from the retirement home that they will be transferred to another place, another nursing home especially the old people who can't stay here anymore. This just became a nightmare to them. I suddenly feel bad why do they have to suffer more than I do, and that I was craving for those toxic medications which we never get any left not even one pill.

"Chuuya-kun, could you help me look for the pills?" I asked.

"Why the hell do you need those pills for?"

"I just need to end this pain right here," I grinned.

Chuuya grumbled and was about to grab me by the collar again when someone came out of the picture. No one but the lady in the red hood came running into the retirement home and even Chuuya paused for a while and stared at the girl. I was glowering and wondering why she just appeared out of nowhere again. She doesn't know when to just don't show up anymore, does she?

"What is she doing here? Again?" Chuuya muttered under his breath.

Some wardens are blocking her way while nurses are carrying stretchers with the cold bodies and leading some living old people out of the retirement home. There have been vehicles outside of the retirement home for the old people to get to another nursing home. They have no one to take care of them, but these wardens who are in so much effort providing everything for them until they reach their end.

Chuuya and I were just busy monitoring the whole nursing home when the girl just arrived. She was talking to the wardens, asking them what happened and what are they going to do to the retirement home. I couldn't stand the commotion in front of us so I got to interrupt. Chuuya even cursed at me when I was getting towards the scene. I just shrugged and grinned at him while he looked at me with annoyance.

"Oi, Ruby-chan!" I happily called.

Ruby has to blink many times before she has to believe that she can see me right now. I smile warmly at her though she looks at me grimacing in awe, and then drops her shoulders in defeat. I have to admit she doesn't feel happy when we get to meet especially in the middle of a mission. It is unprecedented and awkward at the same time.

"You again?! What are you doing here? I was about to solve this one by myself!" Ruby complained like a child who didn't get what she wanted.

"Are you going to cry?" I smiled at her.

"Stop harassing me!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Hey, little red."

Ruby whimpered then clasped her hands together. She bowed her head a little, a slight pink flushed in her cheeks. She began holding the red fabric that has been cloaking her back as her eyes are away from either of us. Chuuya and I look at each other then back at her again. She just stopped talking and that got me bothered.

"What do you want? Why are you here?" Chuuya asked little red, seriousness in his tone.

"My sister found out about this retirement home, and we planned to consolidate," Ruby timidly responded.

"Right, the damage has been done. The rascal will be caught in no time, and then mission accomplished."

Ruby just sighed, slouching her back as if she was supposed to be tired. She doesn't look great just like the first time except when she didn't know where to go.

"I'm sorry. I guess I just have to go," Ruby murmured.

"Chuuya-kun, Dazai-san you're still here. The suspect has been caught. Atsushi and Ryunosuke took care of him."

"Pyrrha?"

The red-haired girl was walking towards us and Ruby got surprised just by mentioning our names made her head spin. Pyrrha just smiled at her while she is gaping at the red-head as if she just woke up from a dream. I can finally have a deep breath after this cringed mission. Too bad I didn't have a souvenir with me.

Ruby began to stare at Pyrrha who is just talking to us about the suspect. He acted as the supplier for the medications and the reason why old people died from those pills. He was more than a serial killer, and probably the reason why he targets demented, old people is because of his childhood when as a kid he lived with his grandparents who abused him.

"I can't believe he just almost committed mass genocide," Pyrrha stated.

"Pyrrha!"

Pyrrha was surprised and turned to Ruby. The little red is glowering at her and with the look from her eyes, she has questions to ask the red-head. I yawned with the hand on my mouth and just watched the two ladies talk like how long has it been since they never saw each other.

"How did you know these two?! And where have you been?! Why didn't you call us?! Can you tell me what's happening?!"

"Ruby, calm down," Pyrrha chuckled.

I just laughed softly while Chuuya shook his head and we are just standing there as they have their moment chattering, Pyrrha explaining the whole thing and Ruby kept on asking. She can't even land her eyes on us because of how annoyed she is and the second time when she encountered Soukoku. I was really enjoying overhearing their conversations especially when Ruby could almost reach her bursting point.

"Ruby, you might never know but these two guys had been partners for a long time. Almost countless organizations that they had overpowered lost against them. They were notorious," Pyrrha kindly explained.

"Huh?! You mean these guys whom I just asked directions and encountered on my first day were criminals?!"

"What?!" Chuuya and I exclaimed in astonishment.
