More time passed and soon, Valentine hit major news all over Riverdale.
"The death of Lucille Bluth left The Bluth Company struck with grief and horror, especially to her youngest son, Buster, leaving the Bluth family poor in a traditional mother figure, but still rich in dollars," A newscaster known as Selly from Channel 11 began to announce on TV. "In other news, eyewitness reports from around Riverdale confirm that a masked woman has been stopping robberies all over town. The suspects have been apprehended by the police."
Every one of the Toon Force saw this on TV and Thor soon came to see his uncle, explaining about their new friend Darla who wanted to find her parents and he gave his uncle the picture that was given to him.
"...Well, don't worry, kiddo," Drell said after examining the photograph for a few moments. "I'll help out your friend in need."
Thor beamed and soon left his uncle.
"All right, let's see what we got here," Drell said as he went to do some research on the couple in the photograph. "Hmm... Looks a little familiar... Almost like a sitcom from the 1950's." he then pondered as Thor went back to The Mortal Realm to hang around his friends for a little while.
"Did you ever find Darla's parents?" Mal's voice asked.
"Sorry, no spoilers until later." Cherry's voice smirked.
"Aww... That's gay." Mal's voice complained.
"And I thought you knew better than to say something like that." Thor's voice said.
"So anyway! The story?!" Mal's voice then suggested.
"Ah, right," Cherry's voice said. "So it looked like Srimaya was becoming a whole new person, especially with becoming Valentine."
Back in the story, the police officers were being followed by several curious reporters.
"Sir, what's your opinion on Valentine?" A reporter asked hopefully.
"I don't have time to cancel on this." The cop in question replied.
"I just have one question," The reporter insisted. "Will the police be cooperating with Valentine like The Justice League in Metropolis or Gotham City to reduce crime rates in Riverdale?" she then asked.
"The Riverdale Police Department does not condone the activities of any civilian vigilantes," The cop replied firmly. "That's all I have to say."
"But sir, with so many criminals on the streets, couldn't the police use someone like Valentine to help keep the city safe at night?!" The reporter cried out, trying to go after him in desperation. "Sir! Please, sir! Just give us one quote!"
"Before we knew it, Valentine was rising up everywhere," Thor's voice soon narrated. "There was hope to be brought across own again... Though the police chief of The Riverdale Police Department was being really difficult."
"Lemme guess, 'I don't want vigilantes in my town', right?" LJ asked.
"Pretty much, yes," Cherry replied. "You know how the police can be sometimes, especially back in our day when we helped shape and develop The Justice League into what it is today. Not to mention with your cousin Terry's situation."
"Not to mention those nights before we met you kids." Thor spoke to Mal and the others.
"I guess at least you guys didn't let that keep you down," Evie replied. "Like those kind strangers who helped us years and years ago even if home was still rough, but you hadn't adopted us yet."
"Believe me, we would've done that sooner had we known how terrible your situations were, but the past is the past and the future's now." Cherry advised.
"Very nice advice," Evie smiled. "You get that from a bumper sticker?"
"Nah, I heard it from a school janitor," Cherry replied. "Very odd fellow, but really cool once you hung out with him enough."
More time passed in the story as The Toon Force hung out on the streets, though not on patrol, and soon ran into Srimaya, Bono, and Mary again.
"So, how long have you been studying silat?" Bono asked the waitress.
Srimaya looked at him before shrugging. "Since I can remember," she then said as that was a pretty good question. "My father taught me and my brother everything."
"He sounds like a pretty wise man." Atticus commented.
"Oh, hey, guys," Srimaya said to them. "Long time no see."
"Yo, Srimaya!" Lionel waved. "We've been keeping up with the videos... And it looks like Valentine is getting to be quite the sensation!"
"Really?" Srimaya smiled.
"You don't say..." Bono said as he began to brighten up a bit.
"Yeah, you're the real talk of the school and all around town!" Cherry added. "You're a lot better than that kid with the high-pitched voice who was given his own show and movie trilogy on Nickelodeon!"
"Looks like Valentine is really going places," Mary smirked at Bono. "I guess I shouldn't have doubted you."
"No, Mary, you really shouldn't have." Bono smirked back, though a bit smugly.
"Anyways, we're doing the best we can out here," replied Lionel. "But we're glad to know we haven't been forgotten."
"This hero business means a lot to you guys, huh?" Bono asked.
"Oh, you have no idea." Atticus replied, not-so-subtly before winking.
"So... Why silat?" Bono soon asked Srimaya.
Srimaya glanced down a little. "...For my family, silat is the way of life." she then began to explain.
"Your father must be very proud who you've become because of silat." Bono commented.
"He's dead." Srimaya said softly.
"...Oh." Bono blinked.
There was then about an awkward time of silence suddenly.
"Oh, silat is great. I love silat. Silat's the best." Thor said like he knew what that was, though it seemed like he didn't actually.
"It's a form of Indonesian martial arts." explained Lionel.
"I knew that." Thor nodded.
"Sure you did." Cherry said, rather unconvinced.
"I-I'm... Sorry about your dad." Bono said softly to Srimaya.
"I didn't realize I'd miss those moments until they suddenly became memories, so..." Srimaya replied gently.
"I kinda know what you mean," Cherry said. "I used to be very close with my parents... That is, until I was hanging out with my 'special friends' more often. I missed them a lot until I came to visit them... Turns out they were covering up for true emotions though. I do miss them, but not as much as I could've after I saw what was going on when I wasn't home."
"Oh?" Srimaya asked. "And what would that be?"
"Well, turns out my parents had some issues that they realized when I was away," Cherry began to explain softly. "They weren't as happy as they used to be when they first got together. They realized that they were drifting apart... My mother was always more social and my father was always more business. My mother was anxious to go out and have an exciting time... Though my dad, being a bit older than my mother, just wanted to stay home and not try anything new or flashy. Eventually... It led to arguing which I noticed when I came back to stay with them for a while until I met and found out about my aunt who decided to take custody over me when she noticed that my parents were lost in their own worlds of arguing and putting each other down. They lost what was important, they blamed each other... I had good times with them, even when Atticus was homeless, but they just soon realized that this wasn't the lives that they wanted and they soon decided to drift apart sometime after Aunt Selina took me and I recently heard that they divorced and my mother's moved on to an old high school friend of hers."
"Oh," said Srimaya. "I'm sorry that happened."
"It's okay," Cherry replied calmly. "I'm slowly forming a new family... Plus my aunt takes very good care of me. She always did see me as her little kitten."
"Glad to hear that." Srimaya smiled to her friend.
Cherry smiled back a bit softly. "Sorry to hear about your dad though. He sounds like a good man." she then said.
"It's quite alright, really." Srimaya reassured.
The others nodded as they hung out a bit.
"I want them to hang out with us." Srimaya told Mary and Bono.
"...Well, okay. As long as you keep this Valentine business to yourselves unless you wanna help promote her." Bono said, trying to sound reasonable.
"I can do that." Srimaya nodded.
The Toon Force nodded and promised the same thing.
"And you? Why a superhero movie?" Srimaya asked Bono.
Bono didn't answer that question right away and just looked over to the distance.
"Well, personally, I agreed to help Bono with this movie if he promised to help me too." Mary spoke up.
"Huh... Okay." Srimaya replied.
"What was he going to help you with?" Atticus asked.
"Well... It's very personal," Mary replied. "My sister and I are in quite a bit of trouble, so I met Bono and he found us on the streets one night and he offered to let us come with him and get us something to eat and get cleaned up."
"What about your parents?" Atticus asked. "Where were your parents?"
Mary seemed hesitant about answering that question, but soon, there was a coincidental distraction in the form of two young girls who were walking down the street together.
"You wanna know why I started a superhero movie?" Bono then said to Srimaya. "Because I believe that the smallest action can have a big effect in someone else's life."
Srimaya looked even more curious. "And your family?" she then prompted.
Bono looked hesitant again just like Mary which seemed to ask even more questions, or at least prompt some for the curious Toon Force.
"Guys! Something's happening!" Wawan's voice then suddenly called out.
The group, hearing that, immediately ran out to see what Wawan was talking about.
"Let's go! Let's go! We gotta go!" Wawan cried out.
"Chill out, dude! We're comin'!" Cherry told him.
They soon rushed into action.
"All right, Wawan, what is it?" Mary asked the male fashionista.
"Two punks are taking money!" Wawan told them.
"Sounds like a job for Valentine." Bono hinted at Srimaya.
"And the Toon Force!" added Mo. "These guys aren't gonna make any more transactions!"
There was then suddenly a Batman-like swirl on the screen as The Toon Force got dressed up while Srimaya donned her Valentine costume. Two punks left the store they came into as they laughed together before seeing Valentine and The Toon Force right in front of them.
"Let's go!" One punk told the other before they ran down the street.
"Must they always run?" Lady Gothika tutted.
"It's like they never learn." Saiyaman added.
"Guess we gotta relearn 'em!" Bat-Mite shrugged.
The two guys panicked as they were stalked by Valentine and The Toon Force.
"Go after her!" Bono told Wawan as they were in the van.
"The door won't open!" Wawan cried out, unable to get out the door.
"Gimme that!" Bono scoffed, taking the camera from the other man and soon ran right out his door to go and film Valentine in action.
The two guys then hopped a fence in front of them and kept running, hoping that would slow the heroes down.
"Hope you can hop the fence." Thunder Boy told Valentine.
"I'm on it!" Valentine nodded as she knew exactly what to do.
"Good!" Thunder Boy approved as they kept running.
Bono soon came over to the scene as the heroes kept running and soon tried to open the fence, but it was locked and he wasn't going to jump over it. "Damn!" he then grunted in frustration.
"There was a lot of running and jumping involved and there was even jumping on the roofs," Cherry narrated to the kids. "Ya know, like you see in the movies."
"I wanna try that." Jay grinned rather eagerly.
"Not until you've properly figured out your powers." said Lionel.
"Aw... Come on," Jay replied as he crossed his arms. "I think I'm pretty good..." he then eyed Carlos with a smirk and grabbed the smaller and younger boy into a headlock. "You trust me, right? Tell him who's stronger! Tell him who's stronger!"
"Augh! Jay! Cut it out!" Carlos complained.
"Jayden... What did we tell you about roughhousing with Carlos?" Cherry scolded.
"Uh... Not to do it unless it was absolutely necessary?" Jay shrugged bashfully as he kept his hold on Carlos as the poor boy grunted and struggled.
Cherry leaned in, a bit firmer. "Jayden?"
"...Oh, fine." Jay complained and soon let go of Carlos who then gasped for air.
"Are you all right, Carlos?" Cherry asked the boy, getting him a glass of water.
"Yeah... I'll be fine..." Carlos said, drinking the glass of water instantly. "So, what happened next?"
"Yeah, what happened?" Zofia added.
"Well, the chase continued, until Valentine got stuck in a net that was on the roofs and those two goons seemed like they were almost about to get away with it." Cherry then explained.
"But of course, with the Toon Force around, that wasn't gonna happen." Lionel added.
"So then, it was starting to get really juicy." Cherry smirked a bit.
"I love a good, juicy story." Mal smirked back.
"I'm sure you do, Malissa," Cherry nodded. "So then..."
Back in the story, it looked like the two robbers were getting away. Nature Girl soon concentrated long and hard before she stamped the ground with her hands and suddenly made vines appear to grab and tie up the robbers.
"What the hell?!" The robbers cried out suddenly.
"Freeze, suckers!" Nature Girl laughed.
"Just plant yourselves there, and you'll be able to settle your roots in jail!" Bat-Mite added.
"Just who the heck are you guys?" One of the punks scoffed. "I've never seen anyone like you before."
"You could say that we're your worst nightmares." Lady Gothika smirked.
"Oh, great. It's a Batman wannabe." The second punk rolled his eyes.
"Heh... Close, but no cigar..." Lady Gothika smirked. "Anyway, you're going to right your wrong if you know what's good for you. Unless you wanna stay up in the air for the rest of your lives."
"Also if you don't want to, I can be rather persuasive." Thunder Boy added as he took out a pair of twin thunderbolts in each hand.
"Well, we'd love to stay and chat, but we got places to go and people to see." One punk retorted as he took out a switchblade knife and began to cut against Nature Girl's vines so that they could keep running free.
"I dunno; I think you'll be able to make time in your schedules for a little justice!" Bat-Mite declared as he threw a pair of glue grenades.
The both of them exploded at the punks' feet, leaving them stuck to the ground. The punks grunted and groaned.
"Sorry to break it to you, but you're gonna have to 'stick' with us for a while." Saiyaman smirked.
There was then a random rimshot heard, but the others just groaned at that pun.
"...Too much?" Saiyaman asked them.
"Just... Just no puns from you." Lady Gothika shook her head.
Saiya Dog was soon shown before he lifted up one of his ears.
"You hear something, boy?" Saiyaman asked his dog.
"Sounds like a group isn't too far away from here," Saiya Dog reported. "Must be a gang."
"Then that means more creeps to pummel!" Bat-Mite declared, swinging his fists.
"Where do you hear them, boy?" Saiyaman soon asked.
Saiya Dog kept on listening before he pointed one way. "This way!" he then said as he pointed with his paw.
"All right, then that's where we'll go," Saiyaman replied as he clenched his fists. "Right after we punish these two delinquents."
"Dude, that one guy's just talking to that dog." One of the punks commented to the other.
"Weirdos." The other punk scoffed as he kept trying to slice the vines.
"It's no use," Nature Girl told the two punks. "Those vines are very strong and nothing can ever break them."
Valentine soon came over to The Toon Force.
"There's a gang not too far away from here," Lady Gothika told Valentine. "I have a feeling that one of them might be the ring leader and we can help you get them to jail where they belong."
"By all means... Lead the way." Valentine said.
Lady Gothika nodded before nodding at Saiyaman.
"Ah, yeah, right," Saiyaman replied before he faced his animal companion. "Let's go, Saiya Dog."
"Come on then!" Saiya Dog nodded and soon took off to lead them where they needed to go.
Valentine soon followed after The Toon Force and they then found the gang that they had to find.
"Hey, you ain't my usual guys," A girl glared once she saw them and looked ready to fight. "You're gonna pay the penalty."
"Check's in the mail." Lady Gothika replied as she got into a fighting stance.
And so, more fighting ensued as the girl, who seemed to be the gang leader, fought Lady Gothika while Valentine and the others soon continued to take down the gang to be rid of them all. Eventually, the fighting came to a stop with Valentine and The Toon Force until a duffle bag was slid over across the floor until someone stopped it with their foot.
"Those must be some goods." Thunder Boy remarked.
"Yeah, and you're not getting them!" One punk scoffed as he took out some nun-chucks and began to brawl against Thunder Boy. "You're mine, Baby Hippo!"
"Oh, you did NOT just call him that!" Bat-Mite remarked. "I got half a mind to crumple up your sorry ass like a piece of tinfoil, and throw you in the trash, where you belong!"
"You wanna take me on, Small Fry? Bring it!" The punk glared.
"Wanna get him together?" Thunder Boy smirked at Bat-Mite.
"Hmm... Sure, alright, Peach Pie," Bat-Mite replied. "But only cuz you asked."
"Heh... Peach Pie~" Thunder Boy chuckled.
"Are you two gonna make out now?" The punk scoffed. "Get a room, why don't ya?"
"How about you get a cell?" Bat-Mite retorted, firing a bolo that wrapped around the punk's arms and legs.
The punk yelped and grunted.
Thunder Boy smirked and soon shot a thunderbolt at the punk.
"Yaaaaugh!" The punk then cried out before he was suddenly knocked out.
"...Did you just-" Saiya Dog began.
"Don't worry. He'll be fine in a few hours," Thunder Boy shrugged. "This should just settle him down while we help Valentine here dispose of this gang."
"Can't be worse than Uma's crew." Mal snarked and crossed her arms.
"You know that she's changing after spending time with Cousin Terry." Zofia reminded her new sister.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." Mal shrugged and rolled her eyes a little.
"It was a very long fight and battle as it seemed like everywhere we looked, there was always someone new to face," Cherry then told the kids, getting back into the story. "It nearly felt impossible."
"But we're used to facing impossible odds." Lionel added.
"Aww... Are you gonna skip the fighting?" Jay groaned.
"Just a little bit," Cherry replied. "Besides, it's getting kind of old by telling you what we did to fight after a while which is why I tend to skip over that unless there's something important that needs to be said."
"Yeah... Fight scenes can kinda drag out sometimes," Carlos understood. "No offense, of course."
"None taken," Cherry said. "So, anyway..." she then began to say, going back into the story.
There was indeed even more fighting, but luckily for Valentine and The Toon Force, they were more than capable and able to take care of themselves during this battle. A pair of rather giant violet eyes watched from the darkness before they narrowed and the punks seemed to be all gone.
"Guys, I think that was the last of them," Nature Girl panted. "I think so."
"No..." Valentine said as she made eye contact with someone who was still around. "There's still someone here."
There seemed to be yet another punk who glared at the group while smoking a cigarette before he began to slowly approach the heroes.
"That must be the gang leader." Saiyaman guessed, trying to show off his detective skills.
Valentine and the Toon Force soon began to face the guy who stood in front of them. The Toon Force got into their fighting stances as Valentine looked at them and soon did the same. The guy smirked, looking a little amused before he began to get ready to fight back and soon lunged out suddenly. He was very skilled and got some punches and kicks in, but luckily, the others got quick to fight back to take him down to end this fight once and for all. It was a very fair fight. Not too easy, but also not too hard, even if some parts felt very difficult. Then suddenly, out came another guy with dark circles around his eyes and was without a shirt.
"A guy with dark circles around his eyes?" Mal asked before smirking. "Sounds like Harry from school actually."
"Let's at least survey this one," said Bat-Mite. "He could be pretty tough, so let's see what he can do."
"Still sounds like Harry from school," Mal commented. "And I should know. I used to date him."
"Dark circles though," Evie spoke up. "Was that guy that Shadow guy you were looking for?"
"How about I finish my story?" Cherry smirked.
"Erm... Yes... Do continue..." Zofia nodded. "Make it so, Mother."
Cherry nodded before going back into the superhero story.
The fighting continued and it was starting to get rather hectic between Valentine, The Toon Force, and the punks they had fought with. The smoker was soon kicked against the gate behind them and was knocked out for the time being until they had to finish up with the shirtless thug.
"This guy is unbelievable!" Lady Gothika cried out as their newest opponent took a lot longer to take down than she expected.
"Yeah... You'd think a guy like this would be easier to beat!" Bat-Mite agreed. "Guess he's been eatin' his Wheaties!"
"Man, is this what it's like when people challenge me?" Saiyaman commented.
"Yes." Lady Gothika, Bat-Mite, and Thunder Boy replied without needing to think about it.
"Oh, jeez. No need to put any thought to your responses before answering." Saiyaman shrugged with narrowed eyes.
The fighting soon continued and there didn't seem to be any signs of stopping. At least not any time soon.
"Okay, you can skip over this part a little," Jay suggested. "I love fighting and all, but this is kinda going on forever."
"Huh... Now you know how I feel sometimes." Cherry smirked.
"You don't seem to mind waiting when you're watching Lonnie in wrestling practice takedown Chad." Mal teased Jay.
"Hey! Everyone enjoys it when that Chad dork is getting his comeuppance!" Jay smirked.
Everyone then shared a laugh before the story continued.
Eventually, Valentine chained the thug's ankles together before lifting him up and made him dangle right off of the floor while upside down and delivered the final blow with a kick to his face before she fell flat on her back, gasping and sighing in relief that the final boss fight was finally over and even screamed randomly.
"Why did she scream randomly?" Saiyaman asked.
"Who cares? We won," Lady Gothika replied. "She won."
"We should probably help her get back home." Thunder Boy suggested.
The Toon Force decided to help out Valentine, but they brought her out of where she came from as she was knocked out and passed out from such a big fight.
"We'll bring her home in the morning," Lady Gothika suggested as Saiyaman carried Valentine in his arms as they began to ponder on where to go. "I'm sure she and her family will understand."
"Just as long as she doesn't tell her family what she saw." Thunder Boy suggested.
The others nodded in agreement to that.
"All right, she's pretty wiped out," Lady Gothika said. "We can either take her to The Watchtower or The Titans' Tower as long as we explain to whoever keeps her for the night that she's one of us... Maybe we should spend the night too and help get her back home by sunrise before her family starts to worry." she then suggested.
"Good point," Saiyaman replied. "She'd probably be more comfortable around friends."
"Let's just get her out of here." Lady Gothika said.
The others nodded as they left the hideout, leaving what happened in the hands of the police and karmic retribution.
"You guys wanna go see the Titans or the older heroes?" Thunder Boy asked. "I'll use my magic to get us there faster and we can probably get some rest before we go anywhere else by morning."
"Sure, why not?" Bat-Mite replied. "Do your thing, big guy!"
"All right, everyone join hands with me." Thunder Boy said.
"You got it." Saiyaman said before carrying Valentine over his shoulder so that they could all join hands together.
The Toon Force all joined hands before Thunder Boy used his warlock magic to send them to The Titans' Tower where their good friends and allies, The Teen Titans, lived.
"Your parents even knew the Teen Titans?" Carlos asked LJ, Zofia, and Felicity.
"Mm-hmm." Felicity smiled and nodded.
"Awesome~" Carlos gushed a bit.
Back in the story, The Toon Force came back, wearing their civilian outfits and stepped inside, taking Valentine straight to the infirmary to sleep in one of the beds for the night while Cherry wrote a note for the Titans to let them know that they were going to spend the night here as they were probably asleep right now.
"Okay, guys, time to get comfy." Lionel said as he poofed up some pillows and sleeping bags for his friends.
"Sounds good," Atticus nodded before yawning. "That bad guy butt-kicking was really wearing me out."
"It took a lot out of our Dark Avenger too," Thor agreed. "But she's getting a lot better than she used to be when she first started out."
"Yeah... Thanks to us," Cherry smirked before putting the note on the fridge after she was done writing it out before getting a glass of water to take to sleep with her. "Who knows? Maybe she WILL go down in history even if this Valentine business is mostly for a movie."
"She could probably end up a Legacy Hero!" Lionel yawned.
"Maybe? Who even knows the future anymore?" Atticus shrugged.
"You're the one who has visions." Cherry smirked.
"Oh, right." Atticus said.
Cherry chuckled before drinking her water, then yawned as she bundled down with the others to get some sleep.
"Night, guys." Thor said, falling asleep first.
"Good night." The group all told each other as they began to drift off into a deep sleep that night.
And so, the group dozed off for the night.
"It was a very sleepy evening for all of us," Cherry narrated. "I feel like we had earned it though."
"This is a pretty good story," Mal said as she began to warm up to the story while hugging her graphic novel based on Valentine. "When did the movie come out anyway?"
"Probably sometime after we met The Guardians of the Galaxy, I'd have to check my database just to make sure," Cherry replied. "It just took some time to put together, cuz ya know, movies take a lot of time and effort. It also helped out a bit when we met those four kids on the street ready to run away from home after one of them tried to take my wallet before we found them and before they could escape from us."
"I just hope that those four kids are happy right now... Wherever they are." Thor said mysteriously.
"Aye," Lionel agreed. "We'll take a break, then pick up in a little while."
"So feel free to do something else to fill the time." Cherry suggested.
The kids looked at each other and shrugged before they decided to go outside briefly.
"Good kids," Cherry commented. "Though I think Malissa still needs to keep that temper of hers in check."
"Yeah... I can kinda understand though," Thor remarked. "She was still pretty sore what happened after her father came to visit when the kids were with The Four Caballeros during their summer vacation."
"It'll take time for her to cool off and recover." Lionel said.
"Yeah..." Cherry said softly as she thought back to a time when Mal was still edgy and very upset over what was going on before being legally adopted into the Moltenschwartz family.
"Oh, Malissa, please, your mother couldn't give you anything, so she gave you hope that you would see your father." Cherry said, trying to be soft and gentle as Mal was disappointed about her father yet again at this point when she, Lionel, and Thor learned about Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos's family situations.
Mal firmly frowned and soon suddenly stormed off, though she seemed to be covering up sadness.
"Malissa! Malissa, stop!" Cherry urged.
"WHY?! WHY SHOULD I STOP?!" Mal snapped suddenly as she turned to face Cherry. "WHY?! Nobody wants me! NOBODY!" she then stopped yelling as she broke down crying and looked very upset.
"Oh... Oh, Malissa... We want you..." Cherry said softly and gently, showing a sign of empathy and comfort. "We want you." she then added before hugging the girl as she began to cry in Cherry's shoulder.
Thor, Lionel, and Cherry sighed a bit as they waited together until the kids would come back.
Evie and Carlos were soon attempting to play peek-a-boo with David and Elyse, laughing and smiling warmly while the two babies looked up at their new big siblings curiously. David seemed to be a bit more active than Elyse was.
"That's probably the chillest baby ever," Mal smirked as Elyse barely reacted. "That's probably how I acted as a baby.
"So... You got a new brother or sister..." The familiar snobby and smug voice of Chad soon came over. "I told you guys, I have my own baby sister Alexandra and she steals attention away from my family every time they come to visit just to see her. She cries all night, she steals all of my stuff, and sometimes she really stinks!" he then told them.
"Well... Maybe you're just not a good big brother, Chad," Mal rolled her eyes. "You ever think of that?"
"Buh... Buh... Burn." David babbled in response.
Chad looked wide-eyed before glaring and snorting. "Whatever! I shouldn't be seen with you peasants anyway," he then said with a strong huff. "You'll just slow me down."
"Goodness! Well, we better not let you fall and break a nail." Jay rolled his eyes.
Chad glowered before storming off only to trip and fall suddenly, then ended up in a mud puddle.
"Sorry about him," Felicity said to LJ and Zofia. "Chad may have charming parents, but he didn't inherit any of that charm as you can see."
"It's fine," Zofia reassured. "He doesn't look like he could do much damage anyway."
"Nah," Mal smirked. "He's pretty much the Donald Duck to Audrey's Daisy Duck nowadays ever since Ben broke up with her. I've seen them go shopping at The Mall together and he pretty much follows her around with a bunch of boxes while she doesn't break a sweat and commands him to follow her everywhere." she then added.
"What a dilweed." LJ remarked.
The group of siblings soon laughed together a bit as Chad glared at them before he kept going.
"Hm... I wonder where Audrey is?" Chad pondered to himself. "I feel like I never see her anymore."
"So this is a pretty good story so far," Mal said as she looked at her graphic novel again. "Maybe I should be her for Halloween. She has great taste in colors."
"Of course you'd say that," Evie smirked. "Besides, I thought you wanted to be an evil fairy for Halloween."
"Meh... We'll see..." Mal shrugged. "Knowing our lives though, Halloween will become an adventure somehow."
"Just as long as you stay on Mother's good side," Zofia advised. "She doesn't take kindly to insults, especially around Halloween which is like Christmas to her."
"I'm not gonna insult her," Mal replied. "I think I know better than that now."
"You really do," Felicity said. "Though pranks are still fair gain around school sometimes."
"Well, some habits are hard to break," Mal smirked. "At least I'm growing up."
"Congrats." LJ replied.
"Mm-hmm..." Mal smirked and nodded.
"And gonna become Ben's new girlfriend~" Evie and Felicity giggled in the background.
Mal then flashed them a look while Evie and Felicity still giggled, even from her icy and dark gaze.
"If that's the case, you should either have him for dinner or go to his place for dinner," Zofia advised. "I mean, his mother and Mother were old college friends."
"Yeah, that's true," Mal shrugged and rubbed her arm bashfully. "I guess she could give me a little helping hand in trying to impress Ben, though it doesn't seem to take much. I mean, he told me about how he loved being a big brother and how rewarding it felt to spend time with his little sister when I felt scared about becoming a big sister." she then said before looking down at David and Elyse before smiling a little bit at them.
David smiled back, while Elyse gave a little nod. Mal cracked a small smile back at them. It was a very sweet moment as Thor, Lionel, and Cherry decided to get dinner together for the kids before they would finish the story.
Eventually, the kids were called back inside.
"Come on, let's finish storytime." Mal smiled as she proudly picked up Elyse.
Elyse smiled back a little bit, nodding to Mal.
"Good girl~" Mal beamed and cooed. "Let's hear more about Valentine the Dark Avenger~"
Audrey was shown with a boy with dark blonde hair beside her.
"Are they really talking about superheroes and pretend adventures?" The blonde boy asked with a scoff.
"Yeah, they always do that," Audrey replied to him. "I swear, they'll never grow up."
"Hm... Kinda reminds me of those annoying kids back at the orphanage," The blonde boy smirked. "Let's get away from The Baby Zone for a while."
"I'm with ya." Audrey smirked back, following after the rather mean boy.
Soon, the kids came back inside to hear more about Valentine's story.
"How does chicken sound for dinner?" Cherry asked from the kitchen.
"Sounds good to me." nodded Carlos.
"Likewise." Jay agreed.
Cherry nodded and soon went to get the chicken ready. The kids soon waited back where they were before. Mal smiled as she rolled a big green ball with blue stripes and an orange star on it back and forth with Elyse.
"We'll work on some strength training for you later," Jay said to David as he lifted the baby boy's arms. "Maybe in a year or two."
Thor smiled fondly, loving the bond between the baby twins and their big brothers and sisters.
Cherry soon came back, though she seemed to ignore a note in the toaster that popped up just as she left. "All right, so where were we?" she then prompted.
"Spending the night with The Teen Titans." The kids replied.
"Ah, right," Cherry then said. "So we woke up after a very busy night together before we would take our new friend back home."
