Metropolis
For the past seven years vigilantes has been appearing in multiple cities across the world where it started with the 'Superman' of Metropolis who possessing incredible super powers and then around the same time the 'Batman' of Gotham city appeared who didn't have powers instead he had high tech gadgets and he is an highly skilled fighter. A couple month after the appearance of those two superheroes in Central City at S.T.A.R. Labs (Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories) where there was accident with it's next-gen particle accelerator that was supposed to supply all of Central City with unlimited clean energy, and to also further the advancement of the science however when they turned it on, something went horribly wrong where the particle accelerator released a huge shock-wave of dark matter into the Earths atmosphere which granted numerous of people super powers where they would be called meta-humans.
Some of these individuals used their abilities to become vigilantes like 'The Flash' of Central City while Starling City it had the 'Green Arrow' who like 'Batman' didn't possess any super powers instead he is an highly skilled fighters and was skilled in archery and then in the case of the 'Green Lantern' of Coast City someone that who themselves doesn't possesses any super powers but instead he has a green power ring which is considered by some to be the most powerful weapons in the known universe.
Then in the recent news Steve Trevor who is an agent of A.R.G.U.S. had return to United States of America after disappearing for a couple days and when he return he wasn't alone as he had brought back with him a beautiful woman who's name was Diana the princess of Themyscira which was the home land to the Amazons who were warrior women. Though this wasn't the first time the world had seen a Amazonian as back during World War Two there was one who help to win the war and her name was Hippolyta the Queen of the Amzons and mother of Diana and Diana has come to America as a ambassador for the Amazons and she also possessed super powers and Diana was the Amazon's Champion where she has earn the title that her mother once had and that was the name 'Wonder Woman'.
Metropolis is one of the largest and most well-known cities in the United States of America and the world with it having incredible sites to see like the LuthorCorp tower which is one of the world's largest, most diversified multinational corporation with the CEO being the brilliant but ruthless businessman Alexander Joseph 'Lex' Luthor and then there was the Daily Planet tower a world renowned news agency with it's famous world globe on top of the tower.
"Look at these numbers and people say one person can't make a news crew but those people didn't factor in Lois Lane" Perry White the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet said with a smile.
"It's not me Perry, It's Superman that who the people want to hear about" said Lois Lane an beautiful and world renown investigative reporter for the Daily Planet.
"Naw It's all you Lane, so how about marrying me?" said Steve Lombard who was the sports columnist for the Daily Planet.
"Not even if you could fly, Lombard" said Lois.
"You're gonna go be an old maid it you keep on waiting for Superman forever" said Steve.
"Are you kidding me Steve? Superman is the one that's waiting for me" Lois said with a confident smile.
"The taco truck's downstairs. Kevin! Tory! Dora! Perry's! I'm buying! Even for you Lombard. C'mon Jimmy!" Lois said before she walk out.
"All right!" said James Bartholomew Olsen or otherwise known as 'Jimmy' who is an photo-journalist for the Daily Planet.
While everyone else left to go down to the taco truck there was only one person who remained behind and that was Nolan Carter the mild-mannered investigative reporter for the Daily Planet but unknown to the rest of the world he was also the superhero known as 'Superman' and this wasn't the first time that Nolan wasn't invited to something as to keep his identical a secret Nolan pretended to be a timid and shy man who lacked the confidence to stand up for himself and wore glasses which works proving that people only sees what they want to believe however even though it worked it had also made Nolan rather unpopular among his co-workers.
"There, it's finally done" Nolan said to himself as he finished writing his latest news article.
Nolan then got up from chair and went to roof of the Daily Planet and thanks to his x-ray vision he saw that there wasn't nobody else up there and once he got there he activated his superhero costume which was a dark blue Kryptonian armour that form around his body with his red cape flowing behind him and the symbol for the house of El on his chest and then he took off into the sky and as Nolan flew into the skies of Metropolis he thought to himself that out of all his abilities his most favourite one of them was flying not because it make him look like a god but because it made him feel truly free to be truly himself.
(Nolan Superman's costume in this story is the same one in New 52 version but his symbol is the older one where it's black with a yellow outline and a red S)
Suddenly thanks to his super hearing Superman was able to hear a man scream out in pain from the other side of Metropolis so he flew as fast as he could towards the screaming man where he saw a building where on it's roof there was a injury man so Superman landed next to him.
"It's going to be okay, I'm going to take you to a hospi..." Before Superman could finish his sentence he was intercepted by the man.
"Don't worry about me! I'll be fine but Dave he's still inside with whatever that thing is" said the injury man.
"It's okay I'll go and find him" Superman said as he had already used his X-ray vision to see if the man had any broken bones but thankfully he didn't so Superman walk into the abandoned building using his super-hearing and X-ray to look for the man's friend and once he spotted the man Superman used his super speed to rush over to him where and Superman saw that he was unconscious and injured so Supermen used his X-ray vision to check him over like he did with his friend.
"Good he's still alive but who did this to him?" Superman ask himself.
As Superman used his X-ray vision and super hearing again he saw a creature that look like a grotesque with a hunchbacked, it had insect-like wings protruding out of his back and it was wearing high-tech armour and it was pulling something out from it's chest which look like a strange metal cube so Supermen used his super speed to take the unconscious man back to his friend outside before going to see what the demon-like creature was doing.
"Now what are you and why are you here?" Superman ask the creature which he now could see that had green skin and it's armour was gold-coloured.
"The Kryptonian!" The creature said before it breath fire at Superman who block it with his arms.
"These ain't any normal flames" Superman thought as even though it didn't hurt him he could still feel it.
Superman quickly fired his heat vision while not at full power the creature which hit the face causing it to stop breathing fire and be push back and Supermen then used his super strength to punch the creature in the right side of its face, sending it flying into the sky and out of Metropolis as Superman didn't want to damage any of the buildings or scare any of the civilians if they see the creature and Superman flew right after it and once he caught up he then punch the creature again sending it crashing down ground and Superman landed next to it.
"So are you willing to talk now?" Superman ask the creature but then it try to grab hold of Superman however he simply used his super speed to avoid it.
"FOR LORD DAEKSIDE!" The creature roared before the cube that it try to pull out from it's chest exploded killing the creature and started a fire.
"Why do I have a feeling that this is only the beginning" Superman said to himself before he use his super breath to put out the fire and once he finished he went back to the two injured man on the rooftop and took them to Metropolis hospital to get help but after he did Superman flew around Metropolis as he needed to make sure that there weren't any more of those creatures left in Metropolis.
It didn't take Superman long to find out that he was right as there was another one of the creatures who was in a warehouse owner by LuthorCorp at Metropolis docks and it look like it was doing the same as the other creature but as Superman try to stop it and find out what was going on it did the exactly the same thing as the previous creature and exploded however once he put the fire he saw that there was a piece of the creatures armour still intact so Supermen decided that he should take it back to his fortress to see if the Kryptonian database but just as Superman was about to see if there were clues left behind a green light appeared over him.
"So your the so-call 'Superman' huh?" said a male voice.
As Superman turn around he saw a man around the same as him with brown hair wearing a green and black outfit with white gloves and had a white circle with a green symbol inside on his chest and he was flouting in mid air with a green energy surrounding him and he was pointing his green ring at Superman.
(All Characters will look like they do in the Animated Film Universe)
"And who are you?" Superman asked.
"Who are I!? Hello I'm the Green Lantern, you know the Crusader Knight of Coast City" Green Lantern said annoyed.
"Oh yeah I remember Lois wrote a piece about him" thought Superman.
"Anyways I got to go" Superman said as he lift off the floor however just as he was about to fly out of the building a green wall appeared in front of him blocking him.
"Sorry but you ain't going anyway pal, I got some questions to ask you" said Green Lantern.
"I don't have time dealing with you" Superman said annoyed as he pull his fist back before throwing a punch at the green wall shattered it normally he wouldn't do this however he needed to find if there were anymore those creatures in Metropolis.
However just as Superman was about to leave Green Lantern then used his ring to create a barrier surrounding Champion.
"I said I got questions for you! So make time!" Green Lantern said seriously.
"Alright you ask for it" Superman said before he threw a punch shattering Green Lantern's barrier and sending him flying outside where he first crash into the giant green cube, freeing a man that was a grey armour with a black bat symbol on the chest and a yellow belt, dark blue gauntlets, dark blue boots, dark blue cape and cowl.
(Batman's costume in this story is the one he wore in the 'Batman: Hush' animated film where he has a dark blue cape and cowl instead of them black cape and cowl because I think its looks cool)
After breaking the giant green cube Green Lantern continue until he crash into a truck causing an explosion as for Batman he quickly pick up a metal box which was same as the other boxes that the two creatures had but then Superman rush at Batman and had him by his cape against a wall.
"So what can you do?" Superman ask as Nolan had heard about and seen photos of Gotham's Dark Knight.
Batman didn't reply however as he took out one of his batarangs from his utility belt to cut off the piece of his that Superman had a hold of and immediately use the wall to jump away from the Man of Steel. While in the air Batman turn around and took out from his belt smoke pellets and threw them at Superman to block his vision of site and allow Batman to find some cover to allow him to think up a plan.
However that didn't stop Nolan as he hovered off the ground and with his enhance vision he could see though the smoke easily.
"I know can still see you" Superman said before he flew at Batman appearing right in front of him and as Batman took out his grappling gun and fired it to get away Superman then appeared in the air and grab the hook which he then easily crush.
"The two creatures that I have fought had one of those boxes that you have" Superman said hovered towards Batman who immediately backflip away and threw a batarang at Superman who caught it then it began beeping before it exploded in Superman's face while Batman use grappling gun again as it is able to fire multiple grappling hooks to get a away.
However Superman walk out of the smoke unharmed and he fired his heat vision at the grappling line causing Batman to fall but he manage to land unharm.
"They blow up so I'll ask you what are these boxes for?" Superman ask as he continue to make his way towards the Dark Knight.
Suddenly a giant green fist came flying which hit Superman across his face.
"HEY! We ain't done yet!" Green Lantern said angrily before he flew at Superman where he then use his ring to create a giant green chains to hit Superman with where he knock most of them away except for one as it manage to hit him in the chest which push him back and Green Lantern use this as a opportunity to create more chain's which wrap around Superman.
"Chains? Your funny" Superman said before his Super Strength to break free.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me!" Green Lantern complained as he quickly formed a shield around himself just in time as Superman then appeared in front of him and punched the shield so hard sending the green wearing superhero all the way to downtown Metropolis, Green Lantern managed to stop himself from crashing and he then flew as fast as he could back to Superman as he ready to unleash a blast of green energy at the Kryptonian who saw this so he flew at the Green Lantern and before he could fire his attack he was sent crashing to the ground where Batman then stood next to him.
"This guy is going to kill us!" Green Lantern said as he ready his ring for the incoming attack.
"No he won't, you bruise but you don't kill, do you, Nolan" Batman said muttering Nolan's name quietly but he knew Superman would be able to hear him thanks to his Super Hearing which cause Nolan's eyes widening in shock and made him stop his change at the two other heroes and stood in front of Batman.
"How!?" Superman ask in a serious tone.
"I track your flight patton where i saw that you visit certain places multiple times a day and then I figure out what these places all have in common aka you" Batman explained.
"I see Bruce" Superman said with a smile as he used his X-ray vision to look underneath Batman's coal.
"You look!" Batman said annoyed while also thinking about says to make sure that it doesn't happen
"Wait Bruce? As Bruce Wayne the brilliaire! Are you freaking kidding me!" Green Lantern said shock figuring out that the richest man in Gotham City was also it's Dark Knight.
"So why are you and flash light over there here?" Superman ask curiously.
"You said two of those things had boxes just like this one?" Batman ask holding up the metal box.
"Yeah and when I try to find out what they were doing they blow themselves up" said Superman.
"Same thing happened to us, it seems to be something that's bigger than both Metropolis and Gotham is going on" said Batman.
Just then three Metropolis police helicopters came and they put their lights on them.
"Let's move!" Batman ordered as he opened up a manhole and jump down to the sewers and both Superman and Green Lantern floated down.
"Man what is up with this guy and sewers" Green Lantern said annoyed as this was the second time this night he's been in the sewers because of Batman.
"Someone is strategically placing these boxes, we have to find out why? Before it's too late" said Batman.
