Chapter 5
Clarke walks inside the dropship. She start to put different items in a bag to help get Jasper. She hears the door open as Wells comes in. "There you are. When my father said they didn't leave us anything, he really meant it," Wells says. Clarke grabs Wells arm and sees a scratch. Wells sighs as he looks at his friend. "It's just a scratch," Wells says.
"You're making friends fast. Keep it covered. It could get infected," Clarke says. She looks at Wells. "Nice pack," Clarke says.
"Yeah, mine is seat belts and insulation. I also packed part of the parachute, figured we could use it to carry out Jasper." Wells says.
"Good, give it to someone else, you're not coming with us". Clarke says.
"What do you mean? My Ankle's fine". Wells says.
"It's not your ankle, Wells, it's you". Clarke says as she climbs down the ladder.
"You came back for reinforcements. I'm gonna help". Wells says as he jumps down the ladder.
"Clarke, he's right, we need him, so far, no one else volunteered" Monty says.
"Sorry, Monty, but you're not coming, either". Clarke says.
"like hell I'm not, Jasper's my best friend". Monty says.
"You're too important, you were raised on Farm Station and recruited by engineering". Clarke says.
"And"? Monty asks.
"So, food and communications". Clarke says. She taps Monty's head.
"What's up here, is gonna save us all. You figure out how to talk to the Ark and I'll bring Jasper back". Monty nods as Finn walks in.
"Hey, you ready to go"? Clarke asks.
"I'm not going anywhere, and neither should any of you. That spear was thrown with pinpoint accuracy from 300 feet," Finn says.
"So what, we let Jasper die?" Monty asks.
"That's not gonna happen," Clarke says.
"Spacewalker? What a joke. You think you're such an adventurer. You're really just a coward," Clarke says.
"It's not an adventure, Clarke. It's a suicide mission," Finn says. Clarke shakes her head before she walks out. Wells walks towards him.
"Build a wall. Use the fallen trees. I'll watch out for her," Wells says before he leaves.
Jasper looked up to you," Monty says before he walks away.
Bellamy was checking his sister's wounded leg.
"What the hell was that"? Bellamy asks.
"I don't know. The others said it looked like a giant snake". Octavia says.
"You could've been killed". Bellamy says.
"She would have been if Jasper didn't jump
In to save her". Clarke says as she walks up to them. Wells follow.
"You guys leaving? I'm coming, too". Octavia says.
"No, no, not again". Bellamy says.
"He's right. Your leg's just gonna slow us down. I'm here for you". Clarke says to Bellamy.
"Clarke, what are you doing"? Wells asks.
"I hear you have a gun". Clarke says.
Bellamy lifts his shirt up to show his gun.
"Good, Follow me". Clarke says.
"And why would I do that"? Bellamy asks.
"Because you want them to follow you, and right now, they're thinking only one of us is scared". Clarke says. Bellamy turns to Murphy.
"Murphy, come with me". Bellamy says.
"Atom". Bellamy says. Atom turns to him.
"My sister doesn't leave this camp, is that clear"? Bellamy asks as he puts on his jacket.
"I don't need a babysitter". Octavia says.
"Anybody touches her, they answer to me". Bellamy says. Atom nods as Bellamy walks away.
"I'm going make your life a living hell". Octavia says, she walks away.
"We'll see about that". Atom says.
With the rescue team
"Those guys aren't just bullies, Clarke.They're dangerous criminals," Wells says.
"I'm counting on it." Clarke says. Behind them, Bellamy and Murphy follow.
"Since when are we in the rescuing business, huh? Murphy asks.
"The Ark thinks the Prince is dead, once they think the princess is, too, they'll never come down. I'm getting that wristband, even if I have to cut off her hand to do it". Bellamy says as they continue walking. Murphy follows with a smirk on his face.
The Ark
Raven was in space repairing the Ark as she comes back on the Ark. She starts to take off her suit. "Damn it, Raven. Wait for pressurization," Red says. Raven takes off her helmet. "Sorry boys, places to go". Raven says.
