Chapter 4

The meet

Spyro's point of view

So, she came out of nowhere...

I just saved my brother from being squashed by that guy who attacked us, and she just came out and shoot out ice, how from someone I've never seen before. She wore tattered pants and a ripped shirt that probably said "Hybrids hate Mondays" with Monday crossed out of a calendar. A pair of fingerless gloves, some type of shoes, purple glasses (I assume what that is) she also carried a dark red backpack, and a pair of something on her ears. Her hair was brown with red, yellow, black, purple, and light blue tips, a pair of rabbit ears, and her eyes is a mix of light or dark blue and a black eye with purple pupils. She looked kinda strange but not out of normal strange, we were interrupted by the guy that was going to squash Sparx.

"That's impossible! I'll report this to Cynder so she can get it to Olivia!" He yelled.

Then she threw a rock at him and made him knocked out, my eyes widen for the fact that she has pretty good aim.

"Where have you came from anyways?" I asked.

"I'm guessing that I came through a barrier to your world, because this was never on Earth's map." She answers.

"Earth?" I asked with a curious look on my face.

"I can tell that you never heard of Earth, huh?" She asked.

I shook my head yes, I was not going to leave her to go home with Sparx.

"How about you come with us?" I asked her.

"Wait, wait, wait. You don't know her and you want us to bring home a stranger?" He asked.

"How bad can it be?" I asked.

"Do you know who you are? I am certain that you never knew what you are, but for me... I never knew much more of myself." She replies.

"No, I always looked at myself as nothing more than being raised in a dragonfly family." I told her.

"Well to tell ya, you're a dragon." She replies back.

"I'm a what?" I asked.

"A dragon, not just any regular dragon, you're a special type of dragon, clearly its unknown for the first but you're the second one of your kind." She answers.

"Wait, I am? Then what about you?" I asked her another question.

"Me? I don't know actually, I never knew what I am a part being an forced into an adoptive family waste of time, I'm pretty much a nothing to them. You may have a good childhood life but not me, which explains why I have these scars on my face." She answered.

"What? That's terrible." I said.

"Doesn't matter if I go back or not, no one in that town really care about me anyways. I had no one really except Uncle Dan and Auntie Topanga that would take care or ever care about me. Those two were the only ones that cared. I'm giving them a payback one day, but not right now." She told me. "Anyways never mind on my past though, I'm Alanna, I never really knew my entire name but I was never a Rune family member, and you?"

"I'm Spyro and this is my brother Sparx, I feel bad about what happened to you, but I'm kinda like you though, not knowing much about my real family." I answered.

"Great to meet you." She said.

"We should get going, mom and dad might be worried." I told Sparx.

"Alright, alright." He replied.

We lead Alanna back to where we lived, which was past where the tree was at, the other dragonflies gathered around to see what was going on.

"Spyro who is she?" One asked.

"I need to see our parents first, I'll be back." I answered.

"Alright..." She said.

We lead Alanna to where they were.

"Spyro what exactly happened?" Our mother asked with a concern look on her face.

"Well, Sparx was the one who went out of bounds first, I had to get him back before something happened." I started to explain.

"And then I was captured by some weird looking thing that was about to squish me!" Said Sparx. "And then, he breathe out fire! So I was about to pop the top off and kick that guy's booty, then Spyro threw in some serious flames dude, no jokes, flames. From the mouth."

"B-but I was trying to help-" I complained.

"Some help? You could've killed me, and this girl, she came out of no where and shoot out some sort of blue particles." He continued.

"Excuse you, it's ice, at least I know magic more than you know about how to live outside of the off-limits sides." She snapped. "Besides, I lived a much more harder life than you had, because I was blamed and bullied by everyone in that cursed town!"

"Uh, is your hair changing color?" Our father asked Alanna.

"I guess, I remembered that my hair was first purple, then white, but I put a wig on my head for brown." She answers in her normal tone. "I just gonna say that, I'm kinda like your son, I'm not normal either, I didn't know I had powers until just now."

"And your name to be exact?" Our mother asked.

"Alanna, my real last name is a bit fuzzy, I was really named Alanna Dina Rune, but really it-" Then she cut herself off because she placed her hand on her head." Curse these headaches, I think I just found out my full name now, Alanna Crystal Dragoness."

"The girl from the rumors?" She asked another question.

"What rumors?" Alanna asked.

"Rumors of the lost heir, maybe you are the one." Our father answered.

"No, no, no, it must be another Alanna, besides I barely knew my real parents." She told us. "I was only here for a supposive field trip but I lost the sub I was with. I do hallucinate but I think the teacher I was with is a dragon we're going to meet later."

"A dragon? What is that?" Asked Sparx.

"I just told you earlier..." She facepalmed. "Dragons are mythical creatures, there were dragons mostly live in the Asia areas, mostly China and Japan. They're also on the Chinese Zodiac, which mine is a chicken (putting cock there is something I'm a bit uncomfortable with). Which Spyro is a dragon himself."

"But unfortunately we don't know where you came from, we found you on the river-bank, who knows where you're from." Said our father.

"But you're still our son, innocents have to pay the price while the wars rages without an end." Said our mother.

"I have an idea, me and Spyro will find out where we came from and who our parents are, then we'll come back and tell you guys all about it!" She said.

"May not be a bad idea but you both have to be safe." He told us.

"We'll start heading out tomorrow, I need to hang my clothes to dry and hunt for food, I just need to be guided to a river if you don't mind." Alanna said.

"We'll help you get there, follow." Said our mother. "Oh, and I'm Nina and my husband is Flash."

"Well it's nice to meet both of you as well. Try to get some sleep Spyro, I don't get much sleep since of these nightmares."

Then Alanna followed Nina to the nearby river while I went back to where I sleep every night.

Alanna's point of view

I thanked Nina for help and took out a branch from my back that I strapped on and took out my pocket knife and started to sharpen it to make a stake for me to poke at the fishes with. It's more challenging than fishing with a pole and bait but its more fun than waiting for a bit. In the end I was able to catch 20 fairly sized fish and place them all on an ice block so they don't go bad. I also touched the water with my toe to see if its safe, which the water was calm that night, so I took off my sneakers and my socks and place my feet in the water. The water is warm for my comfort, so I sat down on the side and relaxed myself, I remembered when my family isn't home and was forced to clean up the house I always sneak out towards the outskirts of the town and into a cave where it has a pool large enough for me to practice swimming. I bet Spyro doesn't know how to swim yet, so that's something I'll help him with. Then I stood up and walked in further until the water is up to my waist and sank into the water, then something happened. In place of my rabbit ears it changed to wolf ears and my body glowed as a transformed into a wolf (This is my verse physics it doesn't mean I'm a furry, no hate for me or for them). The fur of my coat is light purple with blue mixed in with it. The chest of mine has more fur than the rest, usually when this shows that, it's an alpha. So apparently I can transform into animals that is in my blood, I need to tell this to them tomorrow before we leave.

The next day...

I checked to see if my clothes were dry and they were, Spyro met up with me by the exit with Nina and Flash. I've also got a device that was able to dry quickly to shrink the fish that I've caught yesterday, which can resize to their original size after that. We said our goodbyes and went off, sometime later Sparx decided to catch up with us.

"Well, me and the old guy were chit-chatting and realized that best friends belongs together, even one has weight issues and other is just an abnormal abomination." Said Sparx.

That just makes me wanna smack him, he just called me an "abnormal abomination" I'm not even that abnormal, I calmed myself down and then Spyro said.

"Weight issues huh? Well at least I wasn't turned into a lantern." Said Spyro.

"Oh please, lantern shmanter, let's see what's up ahead." Replied Sparx with his eyes rolled.

Then we walked further ahead and fought off some weed-toads and shroom spiders, which was pretty good to help defend ourselves, there was also vines in the way so a casually swing my sword to get it out of the way. At some point we heard a roar that scared Spyro and Sparx, they ran in fear towards the entrance to a cave as I followed them from behind.

"Whoa, Sparx buddy, calm down, go to your happy place!" Sparx yelled to himself.

"I swear that was a dragon roaring." I cried.

"It was?" Asked Sparx.

"What in the world was that roaring then?" Asked Spyro.

"I have no idea, but we have to hide." I answered.

"Yeah, I'm right let's go this way far away from it." Replied Sparx.

Then we went inside the cave and bumped into a dragon, I looked up first to see a dragon with red scales and I realized that it was the dragon from my vision, the dragon in disguise as my fieldtrip teacher.

"Well, I was looking forward to the day we would meet, Alanna Dragoness..." He calmly talked.

Our eyes widen, how did he know my name? When did we last met? Then I had a feeling that this is the very beginning of saving the world.
