Sigurd POV
As me and Otto made our way inside the pub, I saw that it was crowded by individuals that were wearing robes akin to the floor length capes of knightly orders like those of the Teutonic knights or the Knights Templar, though unlike the warrior monks of the aforementioned knightly orders, these people were either black, dull grey, green and a slew of other colors, and along with the costumery pointy wizard hat.
"If I were any-other person I would have thought that these people were hard core LARPers." I thought to myself when I saw Otto walking towards a Man behind the barstand.
"Oh Mr. Apocalypse it's been a long time since you passed by our little establishment." A man with rather thick burnsides mustache said to Otto, this got a reaction from the people inside the Pub.
"Greetings Tom, indeed it has been a while, but onto business I need to go to Gringots to make a transaction, you see, my temporary charge just received his Hogwarts letter, and his father and mother were off for business." Otto told Tom in his typical suave tone, causing the bartender to turn his attention to me.
"First Year of Hogwarts I'd wager. Mr. Apocalypse?" Tom asked.
"Indeed." Otto said in a quick crisp manner.
"Well then please follow me." Tom said as he walked out of the bar stand leading them to a wall and pulled a wand and tapped several bricks which began to move and revealed an alleyway where crowds of wizards were standing and looking over the shops that were there.
"Why hasn't this place blown into flames like London in 1666?" I thought to myself as many of the buildings were made out of wood.
"Well gentlemen welcome to Diagon Alley, hope you have a good day." Tom said with curt nod, to which Otto returned the gesture, as the bartender returned to do his job.
"So what do you thing?" Otto asked me, as we made our way through the crowd.
"What?" I asked as I wasn't paying attention as I was focused on the fire hazard that it's this place.
"I asked what do you think of the Alley." Otto said.
"Ah... I think that this place is one heck of a Fire hazard." I answered to Otto's question.
"I'd say that I'd agree with you, but you need to realize that these are mages and probably have some wards that keep this place from combusting under the summer heat." Otto informed me.
"Why you call them mages?" I asked as, if I were to recall correctly, these folk would rather be referred to as wizards or witches.
"Mages is far more easy to say an not a mouthful, now come young Kaslana Gringotts' that way." Otto said as we walked while I saw several vendors selling different things, such as pets, candy, brooms or robes and a we walked Otto noticed my mildly interested look.
"Are you enjoying the view, young Kaslana?" Otto asked me, to which I shrugged.
"Eh, somewhat though you can thank the fact that I lived most of my life with my parents who have access to Schicksal tech and visiting the HQ." I told Otto, which made the Schicksal's Overseer chuckle a bit.
"Well, if I have impressed you that much then my leadership as the Overseer didn't go to waste." Otto said with a slightly arrogant tone, to which I let out a sigh.
"Ah, here we are." Otto said as he pointed at an imposing snow-white multistoried marble building, located partway down Diagon Alley, near an intersection with a mildly lit place which I learned was called Knockturn Alley after I saw a plaque that was mounted to a wall calling it that, and it towered over the neighboring shops.
"So what do you think Young Kaslana?" Otto asked me about my thoughts on the building.
"Well... It's really big, though not not Reichstag big." I answered.
"Well looks can be deceiving at first glance, Sigurd." Otto said as we made our way inside the building and I noticed a plaque close to the entrance which was flanked by a Goblin who was dressed in a scarlet and gold uniform.
Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.
"Huh, Goblins are poets who knew." I thought to myself, despite being a clear warning it did rhyme a bit, as we made our way inside the building, which was a vast marble hall long counters stretching along its length with doors leading off to the vault passageways with around a hundred goblins sitting at them.
"Come young Kaslana, this way." Otto said as he lead me towards the front of an elevated desk, where a Goblin was sitting.
"Greeting Master Brodlor, hope you have had a splendid say." Otto said in a suave tone.
"Ah, Mr. Apocalypse it has been a long time since you came to these halls." The Goblin.
"Indeed, but I am not in here for a social meeting, as you can see I am here with my temporary charge to get the necessary funding for Hogwarts, it's his first year." Otto said as he put his hand on my shoulder.
"Can you show me your key, Mr. Apocalypse?" The Goblin asked, then Otto pulled out a key with the number 534 and gave it to the Goblin.
"Hmmm, Seems that everything's in order. Gragrak!" The Goblin called out as another goblin showed up.
"Yes sir?" He asked.
"Lead Mr. Apocalypse and his charge towards vault 534." The Goblin said.
"Right away sir." Gragrak said as he turned to us, and waved his hand.
"Follow me please." The Goblin said as he led me and Otto towards a Cart, to which Otto and I entered on.
"Hold on tight." The Goblin said as the Cart began to move in a high speed, and god did it felt like we were on a roller coaster.
Once we arrived at the vault 534, I jumped off of the cart and vomited my guts out.
"Come now, young Sigurd it wasn't that bad." Otto said trying to make me feel better, and I shot him a nasty look.
"It's easy for you to say with that Metal Body of yours!" I yelled in my head, and Otto simply smiled as if he knew what I was thinking.
"Your key please." Gragrak said as he showed his open hand.
"Here you go Master Goblin." Otto said as he gave the Goblin the key.
And as if by magic the door began to open and it shoed stacks of gold, silver and copper coins.
"Has Otto been investing in wizarding businesses to get this rich?" I thought to myself.
"Well, Young Sigurd let's get our money." Otto said.
25 Minutes later
God dealing with banks is really hard especially the paperwork.
Anywho, after that me and Otto made our way to the bookshop where we got the necessary titles, after that we grabbed the school uniform, and to be honest it was really dull as I was never a shopping type of person as I can't bother to care about new pairs of clothing.
Then we made our way to a shop called Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands Since 382 BC.
"Well this is our final destination." Otto said with smile on his face.
"Please let's get this over with, I am getting sick and tired of this shopping spree." I told Otto, who merely made a smug smile.
"Don't worry, this is the last one." He said, as we preceded to make our way inside, and saw an old man with pale silvery eyes and white skin, and shaggy white hair.
"Ah, Mr. Apocalypse! It has truly been a long time since we last met, and you haven't aged a day. My it has been a long time since a Kaslana came to this establishment." The Man greeted.
"You know of my family?" I asked him.
"Indeed quite the peculiar people, and with a great heart to match their bravery. Anyhow can I help you?" Garrick said
"I am here to for a wand for my charge here, as you may know by now it's the first year of Hogwarts, as such I was here to purchase him his want." Otto told Garrick.
"Ah I see, then please wait a moment, I have just the right thing." Garrick told Otto, as he walked inside the shops to grab a box, and pulled a wand out of it.
"Solium reinforced Elm wood, 12 inches, good for precision spells if that's you are going for Mr. Kaslana, and as a magic core it's core of honkai beast taken right from a Templar." Ollivander informed me and Otto, the fact that Garrick made usage of a Honkai Beast core without getting corrupted himself and being turned to a Zombie rather surprises me.
"Ho..." I was about to ask but Ollivander Interrupted me.
"How I managed to receive a Honkai Beast core and the Solium? Well I do have some well... connected associates." Ollivander informed while giving Otto a smile, who returned the gesture with a chuckle.
"Ok, you two are old friends, what else can you tell me about this wand?" I asked Him as I didn't want this wand to blow up on my face.
"Well there a few folk that wanted the wand that you are carrying Mr. Kaslana, but unfortunately they had to be... Put Down, sadly, as the Honkai Core within it was Highly corruptive. Though with that wand in your hands I am expecting great many of things from you Mr. Kaslana." Garrick said as he pointed at me and the wand in my hands.
"And what makes you say that?" I asked him.
"Call it a Wandmaker's intuition." He told me.
"Well... thanks? I guess. Otto are we done?" I asked my temporary caretaker who nodded.
"Indeed we are Sigurd. So Garrick how much would the custom wand cost?" Otto asked Garrick.
"Well it would cost you 128 Galleons Mr. Apocalypse." Garrick told Otto, who merely nodded.
"I guess that's a fair price considering the dangerous material that you've worked with." Otto said as he gave Garrick the set price.
"Quite the contrary it's been quite the pleasure of working on it's creation. Anyhow, I believe that you gentlemen are in a tight schedule." Garrick said.
"Indeed we are, but it's been quite the please seeing you again Garrick." Otto said as we left the shop.
The Following day
Now I was with mom and dad, made our way through the King's Cross station, and we made our way to a pillar in station 9 and we walked through it to see a scarlet red train that looked straight out of Assassin's creed syndicate.
"Well son this is where we are going to say goodbye for the rest of the year." Mom said as she hugged, which mad me feel embarrassed a tad embarrassed.
"Mom it's no big deal, I'll come for the new year break." I told her.
"Anyways kiddo be careful as many Mage lords would use this opportunity to make alliances with other families, so be careful and don't give full trust to anyone." My Dad warned me, I wasn't really stupid as I was well aware that the Wizarding Politics were a pain in the rectum, But...
"Don't worry dad, and besides you need to loosen up a bit and not be such a paranoid wreck." I told to my father, who merely chuckled and gave me a hug.
"Just be careful out there, ok?" Dad requested.
"I sure will, Dad." I said as I along with my wears made our way to the train, as they waved their goodbyes.
On the way to Hogwarts
Ok this Train was something, in this age of mass information, and fast movement, it'd be hard to see a steam train which had been pulled straight out the Industrial revolution London and was all coated scarlet red like the one from Assassin's creed Syndicate game I played in my old life.
After seeing that the majority of 1st year train carts had been filled I saw one that was empty well accept seeing a girl about my age with messy shoulder length red hair tied in a ponytail, green eyes, and a somewhat fair-ish pale complexion who was looking and a pair of round glasses.
It's the girl that I met at the Zoo.
As I slid the door open I let out a cough and got her attention.
"Hello there, again." I greeted her.
"it's you from the Zoo." She said.
"Yeah it's me from the Zoo a week previous, so pardon me, but are there any free seats everyone else is full." I told her with a sheepish tone.
"Sure, need help with the luggage?" She asked me as she got on her feet
"It's no problem. I only brought the bare essential clothing and Hygienics ." I told her as I put my bag at the compartment, whilst she sat back on the cart's couch, and I did the same after I placed my luggage at the compartment.
"So... Name's Sigurd." I gave her my name, as I gave a friendly smile.
"And I am Anna." The red head introduced herself.
