AN: Where have I been for this story? Sick. Or out of the house. Or a limp noodle. Depends on what Friday you asked. Today I just happened to remember that yes it is Friday and yes, I should post.

I am almost done with a mini story (bleach, vampire au) but I'm also wanting to get back to a Dracula story so we'll see how that goes.

Enjoy.

Heading to the Hokage and Sparrow, Naruto snorted at the thought that Mizuki was an idiot who needed to be smacked upside the head for thinking that he was so naive as to be easily manipulated. Maybe before he had been taken in by Iruka as a tutoree, he would have been an idiot and fallen for the man's plan, but his friend and older brother had gotten his hands on him, and helped fixed him. It was amazing what someone caring and taking the time to teach you the right way of things would do for a person.

"And to think, I almost pushed him away," Naruto hummed as he landed on the Hokage's roof before dropping down to the right window, latching onto the side of the wall with a bit of chakra. He mentally praised Sparrow for teaching him that trick as he pushed opened the window and slipped in.

"You've arrived in good time, Naruto," Sparrow greeted from his spot on a chair, legs crossed and tea cup in hand. Naruto raised an eyebrow at the tea cup as he closed the window behind him.

"Yeah, well it didn't take long for Mizuki to make his move," Naruto said, sitting down on the couch with a huff, his tutor handing him a glass of water. Taking it, he nodded it and drained half of it before placing it aside. "He told me that I could become a genin by stealing a jutsu scroll," he said, settling back with a grunt, stretching his back with a grunt.

"I know what scroll you are looking for," the third Hokage stated, tapping his pipe against his aged lips, smirking softly at the young man who had one time had been his student for a short time. He reached down behind his desk, his hat shifting on his head slightly and tipping to the side of his face as he picked up the scroll. It was large and when he laid it down, it covered most of his chest and face, making Naruto and Sparrow stare at it.

"Isn't that the scroll that the Fourth labeled forbidden because of the jutus in it require so much power?" Naruto asked, rubbing at his head with a frown. "I thought Iruka had that sucker under something like eight levels of tricks and traps," he continued.

Hiruzen Sarutobi sat back in his seat and stroked his beard, nodding his head. "Yes, it is the very same scroll. Within it are contained are some of the strongest jutsus that could kill a nin if they overused them, or if they don't have enough chakra. I believe, Naruto-kun, that you can use them with the size of your chakra core," he stated, Sparrow tilting his head.

"Sir...I think we need to tell him about why the village hates him before he goes against Mizuki," Sparrow finally said, Hiruzen nodding his head after gazing at him for a moment.

"Naruto-kun, what I'm about to tell you will more than likely to come out during the fight to come, Mizuki hoping to throw you off," Hiruzen said, placing the scroll to the side with a sigh, wise eyes sad. "The Fourth Hokage wasn't able to so much kill the Kyuubi as...seal him away," he started, frowning heavily.

"Only a few people know just why and how the Kyuubi got free from the person who held it, but it did get free and in a desperate attempt to save the village," Sparro started, trailing off before continuing. "To save the village, he sealed the fox into a child, born on the day of the attack..."

Naruto went stiff as something clicked in his mind, his body twitching once before going completely still. "He sealed the fox in me didn't he?" he asked after a few moments of silence.

Hiruzen nodded his head sadly. "Yes, he did. He wanted you to be seen as the holder of the Kyuubi, as the savior of the village because it is your strength that holds the fox back from escaping but no one sees that."

"They only see the fox, which is a burden that was put on you without your permission," Sparrow said softly, lips thinning behind his mask. "You have had ANBU watch guards since you were a babe since the council stopped all attempts at having you adopted into a family that would be able to keep you safe and loved," Sparrow stated, body tense and radiating his pain at the fact that he, they, could not have helped the young blond more than what they had done. "We made sure you got what you needed without the council finding out and trying to stop us."

"Not that they could do anything," Naruto sighed, shivering slightly as he rubbed at his stomach with a sad look on his face. "ANBU don't answer to the council much less anyone but the Hokage," he continued, Hiruzen nodding his head.

"Indeed, so they continue to help you where they can," Sparrow stated. "I've never done it myself but then again, outside of my ANBU duties I have other duties that I must attend to," he continued, shrugging one shoulder. He could see Naruto relax once more, a smile tugging at the pert, pink lips as the rest of the face fell into a thoughtful look.

"So, I carry the Kyuubi within me. Is that why I have so much chakra?" he asked, Hiruzen shaking his head.

"You get the amount of chakra from your mother and father, your father mostly. I can...tell you who it is now if you wish," the Hokage offered, Naruto shaking his head at the moment.

"Nah, I don't want to know just yet. The Kyuubi thing is enough of a shock as it is and I don't really think I could take another heavy shock right now," Naruto said, leaning back into his chair. "I think I just want to wait to learn who my parents were and what their part in the fight against the Kyuubi was until I am 16, like Sparrow promised me," he continued, Hiruzen nodding his head in understanding.

"Very well, Naruto-kun. As it is you can't take over your families estate until you are 16 anyways," he hummed, before turning his pipe over and tapping the bowl out into a delicate, handmade ash tray. As he restuffed the bowl, he said, "Let us move back onto the subject of Mizuiki and the scroll, shall we?"

"Yes, let's," Sparron hummed, standing up and moving around behind Naruto who followed the small sounds he made, not bothering to turn his head. He blinked a few times with gloved fingers buried themselves into his hair and gently massaged his head, making him hum and relax, surprised at how good it felt, relaxing back into the couch.

"I suppose you'll need to take the scroll out into the forests, preferably near a training ground that few people use," Hiruzen stated, once more picking up the scroll and placing it down onto the desk before him. "I'm trusting in you to do this mission and I'm going to let Sparrow walk you through one of the jutsu's on her. I believe that the Kage Bunshin No Jutsu shall be of great help to you in the future and a better option than the usual shadow clones."

Naruto blinked several times, still relaxed under the soothing massage on his head, the fingers working on the back of his neck, and shifted in place. "Really?" he asked, getting a nod.

"What you need to remember with this jutsu though is that the clones are solid, not illusions. When using it, you split your chakra into equal measures with all of them, meaning you do lose some of your chakra when you create them. You can get the chakra back when you dispel them but you must be careful," Hiruzen stated.

Naruto nodded his head. "I will. I will work on it under Sparrow's guidance only until I get it. And should I want to really practice or test the limits?"

Sparrow gently tugged a bit of the hair under his touch, getting a soft hiss. "You'll do it under my watch only," he stated, staring Naruto down and getting an agreement.

"I'll leave this to you two. I will send someone out as your backup," Hiruzen stated, getting nods from the two before they left with the scroll, Sparrow using Shunshin to get them to the field that they wanted. The two settled down into the field and opened the scroll, starting on Naruto's newest training, talking about the ins and outs of the technique before finally starting to practice it.

After an hour the alarms were sounded, the two knowing that they wouldn't be found until Iruka found them. It was another hour before they were found by the young teacher and they put their plan to catch Mizuki red handed into action.
