As Krystal and Nial are on a quest to find kyte, along finding discovery falls. They decided to Rest so they would have energy to press onward. Krystal was sleeping peacefully, So was nial. Nial was having a good rest, until he started to have a disturbing dream. Nial was suddenly in some sort of a forest, still sleeping. Then he heard a terrifying scream that woke him up.
"Someone help!" Nial instantly woke up. "Krystal?" Nial looked around if it was her voice, but she was nowhere to be found. "Krystal?" "Where are you?" Nial said in a worried tone.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Nial heard a female voice in the distance "What the heck?" Nial went to find the source of the voice. He kept running, and running through the forest. He ran past the bushes, branches, trees and so on. He kept running to see if krystal or whoever it was was alright. When he finally got there, nial was shocked in fear at what he found, the small village in flames. "This… what village is this?" "Am I still on a dinosaur planet, or am I on a different planet in a different place?" Nial looked around for anyone for survivors, from the looks of it he sees no one so far. "Hello?" "If you're here, say something?" "Anything." Nial begins to be scared, worried if there's anyone or anything. Then he hears a voice. "Run for your lives!" Male voice cried. "Hello?" "Who's there?" Nial looks around, he still sees no one, he begins to hear more voices. "Please get away from us!" Cried in a female voice "Stop him, someone stop him!" said in a male voice. Nial hears more voices, all he hears is more screams, a cry for help, and some trying to stop whoever it is. He still doesn't see anyone, nial can't understand why, and starts to hold his head with both hands. Hoping for all the screams to stop.
"What am i hearing?" "Does that explain what's going on?" The flames got bigger around the village, and soon circled around nial. "Stop it, please stop…" "Make it stop.." Nial kneeled down, and soon he heard a faint voice, and soon recognized it as he heard it a little clear.
"Nial." "Nial." "Nial." "Nial wake up." "Wake up." Nial opened his eyes and gasped. "AHHH!" Nial screamed. Nial breathes in, and out. Feeling relieved that it was only a dream.
"Nial, are you ok?" Krystal asked while worried. "Y-yeah, i guess." Nial said.
"You were tossing and turning, did you have a nightmare?" Krystal asked.
"I'm not sure, maybe it was." "I dunno." Krystal begins to feel worried about nial as she sees the fear in his eyes, whatever dream he had must had scared him. Though she would worry about it later, discovery falls is their quest right now. "Why don't we go find discovery falls, you think it would brush off the nightmare from your mind?" "Maybe later you can tell me about it."
"Would it help you feel better?" Krystal said. "I think so, but i'm not sure." Nial hesitated.
"We can talk about it if you feel ready to discuss that, ok?" "Ok." nial said.
"Here. have some dino fruit." "You may need to eat along the way." Krystal gave nial the dino fruit. "Ready to go?" Krystal said. "Yep." Krystal and nial are off to find the discovery falls. As they explored the hollow, nial finds something on a tree that has some sort of a shrub on it. He saw something that caught his eye, he found some sort of gold. NIal kicked it, and some shrubs all down from the tree. Then the gold fell down after the kick on the tree. Nial picked it up, krystal knew what it was, she explained to him that's a shiny nugget. Nial gave it to krystal, and put it in her satchel. They continued to explore, and went into another path. Where they find some trees, and leaves falling like autumn. They soon ran into a blocked path.
"Now how do we find a way to continue?" Nial examines the area, and finds something on a tree, A circle with a purple dot in the middle. He kicked the tree, and made some noise. "I wonder." Nial went to kick one that also had a circle with a dot in a middle. Once he kicked the third one the path was now open to cross. "Hey it worked." Nial said. "Way to go nial." Krystal said happily. "All it takes was just a kick on a tree, like so." Nial kicked another tree, only for a gold nugget to fall on his feet. "Yeouch." Nial said as he held his right foot. Krystal giggled at this.
"Yep, i'm sure it was." She said after picking it up, and putting it in the satchel.
"Your foot isn't hurt is it?" She asked. "No, it's fine." "But man it hurts." Nial said.
"Then shall we progress?" She said. "Yeah." They continued to keep moving, when they went to a different area, they spotted some sharpclaws. "Oh no, the sharpclaws." Krystal said.
"No, not them." Nial said. "Stay close to me, i'll handle this." Krystal said in a defensive stance while protecting nial. When they walked slow, they were close enough to be spotted by them.
"Look, it's that animal girl with a human child." "Hey, you wanna get through us, you give us the human." "Don't worry, he gets no harm from us or scales." Sharpclaws said.
"I don't believe you, I know scales would dare to hurt him, just like you hurt others." Krystal took out her staff. "Especially to a child." Krystal said. "Then we take by force." Sharpclaw said.
"Then you'll have to go through me." The sharpclaws charged at krystal, tried to bash her with a mace, she dodged it, and bashed one sharpclaw with a staff. One flew down on the ground, and got back up. The sharp claw charged at her again. "I'll get a girl, get a human boy". Sharpclaw commanded. So the other one tried to get nial, who's wide open while krystal is occupied fighting one sharpclaw. Hearing this, she knows nial is in danger. "Nial." The other one tries carefully to make a move to capture the human. "Come human, come over here." Nial stepped back, unsure how to deal with the sharpclaw. Nial bumped into a plant, and saw a gem. Nial had an idea, so he kicked it, the gem fell from the plant, caught it, and smacked the sharpclaw with it on the face with the green gem in his hand. Krystal holds her staff to block the blow, she repels it, and knocks him out. She turns to see the sharpclaw recovered quickly from the bash from the gem, and is about to grab ahold of nial. "Sharpclaw, make you regret." Sharpclaw grunt said as he is about to capture nial. "Ahem." The sharpclaw turns around, and is soon hit in the gut. After that, then the right side of the face, sending him flying down to the ground. Knocked out. Krystal came to nial's aid, checking if he's ok.
"Nial, are you hurt?" She asked as she checked if he's alright. "Im ok, I hit him with this gem to buy time, or even with my courage to stand against the sharpclaws." Nial said while trying to feel brave. "With courage?" "What gave you the courage?" Krystal said. "To keep my promise." Nial said. "To who?" "Kyte." Nial said. "You promised kyte?" "When did you do that?" She wondered.
"Back at the ship, before general scales took it." Nial said. Krystal now understands why Nial needed to be brave. Not just to find his sister marin, but to help kyte. It reminded how she used to be afraid, but thanks to randorn. She had nothing to fear. Krystal looks at a gem nial has in his hands, she had an idea to help him. "Nial that gem you have."
"Do you know what it does?" Krystal said. "I don't know, what?" Nial asked.
"It helps you get magic energy, concentrate on it." "It will help you be brave." "Be calm, and concentrate on the gem." "The magic energy within you will keep you safe." Krystal said "Like it helps randorn?" Nial said. Krystal nods her head as a yes. "Ok, i'll try."
Nial closes his eyes, and concentrates calmly. Then the gem glowed a little, and so did nial. Then the green gem faded away, and the light disappeared from nial. Nial doesn't had an idea what has happened. But krystal does. "The gem, where did it go?" Nial wondered.
"It was done." "Because of that, the gem faded away." "Now with little energy, it will protect you."
"Will it mean I would use magic?" Nial said. "That's right, ready to keep moving?" Krystal said.
"You bet, let's go." They continued on their journey, and entered the area called cape claw. Where they see a longneck. "One warning i need to warn ya, the water's current is strong." Be careful there." Longneck said. "Thanks for the warning, we'll be careful." Krystal replied. Krystal then sees a cage that has a small dinosaur, she grabs her staff, and fires a projectile spell. The cage fell down, and opened. Krystal checked to see if the small dinosaur was hurt.
"Are you ok?" The small dinosaur jumped around as he examines krystal and nial. Trying to figure out what kind of dinosaur they are. "What sort of dinosaur are you two?" "You looked strange to me." He said. "It's ok you don't need to be scared." "What have you got there?" Krystal said when she sees he has some sort of a piece of paper.
"I found this on the beach." Here girl, you take it." You're gonna need it." He said. After giving krystal the paper, he hops off somewhere. "What's that he gave you?" Nial asked.
"It's one of the spell pages that got torn from randorn's book." "Let me guess, scales."
"That's right, he tore them out of the pages, and scattered them on this planet." Krystal said.
"So there's more?" "I hope we find them all." Nial said. "Me too." Krystal replied.
"But this one, that one ill let you learn first." Krystal said. "Huh, really?" "What?" Nial said.
"This one is a force field spell." "With it, it will protect you from harm for only temporary."
"So be careful of when to use it, alright?" Krystal said. NIal nodded his head in agreement. They continued as krystal gave him the details on how to use the spell properly. They came to the stopping point, and went down from a ledge. As they were walking on the sand, a creature similar to Snaplak emerged. "Watch out!" Krystal said. They both dodged the creature's claws. Krystal got her staff out, and prepared to fight it. The creature called Kooshy went for Krystal first. Krystal dodged one claw and another and struck it on the side. Kooshy fired a projectile, krystal managed to dodged it. However the shockwave caused her to send flying and landed down on the sand. Krystal tried to get up but Kooshy was fast enough where he was about to strike her. As soon kooshy was about to claw her, he was suddenly hit from rocks that were thrown by nial.
"Hey, how do you like rocks on the ground that hurt?" Angered by this, he decided to fire a projectile. "Oh no, he's gonna shoot." Seeing what kooshy about to do, she swiftly got up, and strike it with a hard blow on the head. Kooshy, collapsed on the sand. "Dang, that was close."
"Yeah, it really was." Krystal said. "Are you alright krystal?" Nial said. Krystal nodded.
"I'm alright." "What about you?" Krystal asked. "Im fine." "At least some rocks outta distract it."
"I think it did, you gave me enough time to strike before it fired." Krystal said.
"It's all part of finding courage, and i'm gonna keep trying." "I still got a promise to keep, and find my sister marin." Nial said. "Then let's proceed further." Krystal said. Nial nodded in response. They both climbed over on a ledge, and continued onward. Only to be blocked by a bribeclaw.
"Nobody enter cape claw." "Unless maybe girl or boy has something to give?" Says bribeclaw.
Nial and krystal looked at each other, don't even know what to do to pass the bribeclaw. "The gold nuggets we found, you think we can give it to him so that we can pass?" Nial suggested. "That can work." "But we would need more than that."
"Otherwise we might bump into more of them." Krystal said. Then nial had a thought.
"Then if we're lucky, we could find more." "We should look first." Nial said.
"You're right, I would look at the water, but I'm not a good swimmer." Krystal sees the log up there, and finds an idea. "I know, nial wait here for a moment." "No problem." Nial replied. Krystal went down and jumped one platform. Then jumped into the vines to climb up, and got to the log behind the small waterfall. She pushed the log, and it eventually fell down to the water. Krystal made her way back to where nial is at, he was down there at the sands. Nial must had seen the log fall down. "The log must be your idea right?" Nial asked. Krystal nodded her head in response to the question. "And also pushing it down from up here." Krystal said.
"Ok let's see if we can find one." "Right, before we do." "Here." Krystal takes her staff and activates it, extending it. She presents it to nial. "Am i gonna use it to row the log?" Nial asked.
"Yes, do you know how?" Krystal asked. Nial remembers one time he did row on a boat back at home. So nial knows he can manage. "I do, I have little experience with it, but I think I got this."
Krystal hands her staff to nial, and they both proceed to get on the log.
"Ill help in case you have a hard time." "Think of it as another thing to find your inner courage." Nial holds the staff with both hands, one side to another. Made a position of the staff to where he can use it to row on a log. "Row one at a time, think of it as one two." Nial nodded his head, and began to row the log with Krystal's staff. With experience from what nial knows, the log begins to move. One row and the other stroke. The log kept moving, as they did, nial saw something that sparkled through the hole. "I think i see it." Nial said "That must be it." Nial kept rowing towards where he saw the flash of light. When they did, sure enough, they found the gold nugget. "Nial, we found another one." Krystal said. "Yes." Nial said. Krystal got off to grab the gold nugget, and got back on the log. "Ok, let's get back." Nial started to paddle backwards to go back, it was a little difficult, but he eventually was able to make it out. He paddled forward, then they already made it to the sandy shore not far from there. "And there we go." Nial said. They both got off the log, and nial gave the staff back to krystal. "Well done nial." Krystal said.
"To cape claw?" Nial asked. "To cape claw." Krystal replied. They both went to where the bribeclaw is, and krystal gave the gold nugget to the bribe claw. "You pass." "But don't tell boss." He said as he moved and pushed her and nial to capeclaw with his bone horned staff.
"Well that was mean." Nial said in frustration. "He is a sharpclaw after all." Krystal said. They both press on to the chamber room, only to be caught off guard when the poison gas emerges.
"Nial, its poison gas, use the spell I taught you." Krystal said as she began to cough. "Ok." NIal said when he started to cough too. Krystal cast the forcefield spell, and so did nial. The magic begins to cover their whole body with a magic barrier. "Push the blocks, Hurry!." Nial went to push one block, and krystal pushed the other one. Both is in, and they both went to get the other two, eventually got all four blocks, and the chamber finally stopped filling the place with poison gas. Nial stopped using the spell, and got tired. Krystal did the same, and still got energy to keep going. She went for nial's aid. "You ok?" She asked. "Just tired. Nial replied.
The door opened, revealing two sharpclaws upon entering the chamber. Krystal begins to get her guard stance to protect nial. "Human looked sleepy." Let general scales take care of him." One of the sharpclaws said. Krystal takes out her staff. "You will not lay a claw on him." Krystal fires a projectile spell on one sharpclaw, hitting one towards the wall, and fights the other one.
They clashed one blow after another, Krystal flipped backwards, strike him on the gut, and swung a strong blow. Sending the other flying for its head hitting the wall, knocked unconscious.
Nial tries to get up, but suddenly he got grabbed by a sharpclaw. "Got one, got one."
Krystal turns around to see the sharpclaw that she used the projectile spell on him earlier got a hold of nial. "No, nial." Krystal said worriedly. Nial is unsure what to do about this situation, then he had an idea that he's unsure, but hopes it works. "Hey look, an earthwalker." Nial said as he pointed. "Earthwalker." "Here?" "Where?" He wondered as he looked where nial pointed. Leaving the sharpclaw wide open, it was Krystal's chance to strike him in the head. Nial freed from its grip, he ran. And krystal struck him again, sending him flying. Knocking him out.
"Wow, it worked." Nial said in confidence. "Who knew a childish trick worked?" Krystal said.
"Boy, that was close." Nial said. "Feeling tired?" She asked. "A little, but let's press on."
"Just remember, using spells can drain some energy if you don't have enough magic."
"That way it won't drain any from you." Krystal reminded nial. "Thanks for the advice." Nial said.
Krystal and nial continued to cape claw.
