Revelations
Teito met up with Kuroyuri and hunted the conspirators in districts four and five. He did his job to the best of his ability with Kuroyuri's assistance but his mind wasn't into it.
The conspirators did indeed fight them. Kuroyuri took great pleasure in summoning their Wars at them which made the conspirators scream in agony.
One dying conspirator saw Teito and whispered. "Tiashe...the prince of Raggs...why are you doing this to us?"
Teito looked confused but shook his head and beheaded the man.
At district five, it seems that they have established some sort of warehouse and Kuroyuri decided to be the one who will draw attention while Teito sneaks inside.
The plan worked without a hitch. Teito noticed that the supplies, weapons and materials looked to be of Barsburg origin.
He found the leaders under a cellar. The female among them said. "Tiashe! Our prince! Wait, why are you wearing a Barsburg uniform?"
Teito cocked his head to the side. "I'm a soldier of Barsburg."
The male said. "This isn't right! Clearly, you must have been possessed by a Warsfeil! Child, we know that you are the heir of the Raggs Kingdom."
Teito raises an eyebrow. "I'm not possessed. I'm under orders to kill you."
A third male cried out. "But prince please! We know about your lineage!"
Teito coldly replied as he said. "You can tell me once you're down and dying."
And Teito unleashed his Zaiphon and killed the female instantly and fired it on the guards nearby. Those that didn't die from the assault Zaiphon's blast where killed by Teito's sword.
The third male coughed out blood, his left cut off. Teito snarled. "Any last words before you die?"
He coughed out. "Yes, you are the heir of Raggs. You are the son of its king..and it's concubine...this necklace once belonged to him.." he gave Teito a large, golden and almost rectangular shaped necklace with many charms dangling from bottom. It's decorated with metal work that looked like branches.
Teito nodded. "Thank you." Then he cut the dying man's throat.
Teito exited the hideout where he met up with Kuroyuri who cheerfully stated. "These conspirators like to underestimate me because I'm a child. Well, they're all dead now."
Teito nodded and ordered them. "Please contact the military and tell them our location. The goods I've found inside are from Barsburg's."
Kuroyuri replied. "You got it."
The military arrived and took possession of the goods while Teito and Kuroyuri went back to the military base.
They reported back to Ayanami and he said to them. "Well done taking down the conspirators and excellent work in retrieving the stolen goods." He looked at Teito who had a pensive look on his face and said. "Kuroyuri, you're dismissed."
Kuroyuri made a salute then skipped out of Ayanami's office. Ayanami looked at Teito and asked. "You looked like something's on your mind. What is it?"
Teito pulled out the necklace and gave it to Ayanami as he asked. "Sir? What do you make of this?"
Ayanami examined it. "This is clearly a necklace once worn by the King of Raggs."
Teito decided to be bold for once. "Sir, I've been told by the heads of the conspirators that I'm a prince of Raggs. Is this true?"
Ayanami sighed, deciding to come clean for once. "Yes, it's true. You are the heir to the Raggs Kingdom. You've been taken when you were a child then placed here in the academy. You are also the vessel of the Eye of Mikhail as I've told you already."
"But now I must ask, Teito Klein, do you plan on leaving Barsburg now that you've learned your lineage?" Ayanami inquired, a little suspiciously.
Teito firmly replied. "No sir. I'm not leaving the only home I've ever known. I've been treated well and I see no reason to leave."
Ayanami relaxed. "Good."
Teito decided to make a request. "Sir. If you don't mind, I'd like to travel to the Raggs Kingdom..to gain closure." He felt unsure and rather afraid that Ayanami might deny it.
To his surprise and relief, Ayanami answered. "Granted."
"Sir?"
"I'm giving you permission to travel to district 1. That's where the Raggs Kingdom once stood. You are to take at least one or two of my Black Hawks with you. But I must ask out of the blue, do you know where the Pandora's box is?"
Teito hesitated to answer but he did in a defeated tone. "No sir. But I believe that I have lead about it: Fea Kreuz and the Raggs Kingdom."
Ayanami nodded in agreement. "I can see now. While you go to the Raggs Kingdom to gain closure, perhaps you might know how Kreuz stole the Pandora's box and where it was taken to." He looked at Teito in the eye and said. "My orders stand: obtain closure from the Raggs Kingdom and tell me where Pandora's Box is."
Teito saluted. "Thank you for your trust sir. I will bring Konatsu and Hyuuga with me. I won't let you down. I swear it."
Ayanami replied. "Let us make sure you won't. You may take your leave."
Teito took Hyuuga and Konatsu with him then left for the former Raggs Kingdom.
Meanwhile...
"Letting him go to his former home of Raggs, Ayanami? Are you out of your mind?" Miroku demanded.
"Possibly..." Ayanami answered.
(With Teito)
Teito and the two Black Hawks arrived in the Raggs' gardens. There Teito felt lost in emotional nostalgia as he recalled bits and pieces of his childhood. He let his hands touch the air, eyes clearly lost and unfocused remembering everything that had happened to him.
They stopped when a female voice called out. "Teito?"
They beheld a woman with green and large eyes. She has noticeably long and slender fingers, a pointy chin, a small nose. Tall, fair-haired and slim.
She walked a few meters to Teito. He asked. "Who are you?"
She answered. "I'm Millea Klein. Your mother."
Teito's eyes widened at this and he ran to her. She did the same and embraced each other tightly. Millea noticed Teito's uniform and muttered. "Lord Krom, if only you were here to see your son now.."
Teito pulled away and asked her. "Who's Krom?" Millea's breath hitched.
"He's your father." Millea answered but Teito still looked confused. "Oh. Your memories have been locked away but I can bring you up to speed." She looked at Hyuuga and Konatsu. "Friends of yours?"
"You could say that." Teito replied.
"Pleasure to meet you." Hyuuga quipped while Konatsu bowed.
"I'll explain everything Teito." Millea assured her son as she brought a large cloth for them to sit on along with some food and drinks.
"So who is my father?" Teito asked.
"Weldeschtein Krom Raggs, the King of Raggs. We met while he was painting in a garden." Millea smiled while holding her hat, stained with paint. "I remembered that it was snowing when he proposed to me. As much I'd love to be with him, I couldn't."
Hyuuga pointed out. "Because he was royalty and you're a commoner."
Millea nodded. "Correct. I became his concubine just so I could stay by his side."
Teito frowned and looked sad. "I don't remember much about my father. What was he like?"
Millea massaged her son's shoulder. "He was a good man and a wonderful king. He cared about others more than himself and he was very good at painting. I know you didn't get a chance to be with him a little longer but if it's nothing else, know that he loved you very much. He sacrificed a good lot to protect you from evil beings that would devour your soul."
Teito looked like he was about to cry but took a deep breath and stopped the tears from spilling out. "Will he be fine with me being a part of the Barsburg military?"
Millea thought for a while then answered. "I'm sure he'd probably become sad but if it's your decision, he won't oppose. He just wanted you to be happy."
Teito nodded, satisfied with this answer. He asked. "What else can you tell me about my past?"
Millea shook her head. "I honestly don't know. I know however that you can find a castle nearly buried in snow. Perhaps you will find whatever answers you seek about your past?"
Teito nodded. "Thank you for telling me this mother. I'd like to stay mother but I needed to look for something. I promise to visit you if I can." He finished the biscuits and stood up.
Millea drank her cup and replied. "I hope you do my son. I'm so happy to see you again after all these years."
"Goodbye mother." Teito said kissing his mother in the cheek then he left with Hyuuga and Konatsu.
They walked until they found the Raggs Castle. Or what's left of it considering it's state of neglect covered by snow. Teito felt a splitting headache and started seeing things...
His father being killed by Ayanami...
Bodyguards being slain by Hyuuga...
Kidnapping of the child Teito...
Fea Kreuz's death and his Ghost devoured...
Teito went inside, having to lean on the doorway to balance himself. Konatsu looked at him with a concerned look.
Teito continued walking around the hallway as if he was drunk. He continued to see visions of...
Vanessa Antwort's descent to madness...
Her kidnapping of Teito and delivering him to the Pope...
A crime terrible that Fea Kreuz rescued Teito from the Pope's clutches as well as Pandora's Box...sparking the war...
Alliance between Antwort and Raggs dissolved...
The Raggs War began...Barsburg won...
Teito clumsily reaches a door. He tried to open it but he was too unfocused due to his visions and lacked the strength to do so. Konatsu noticed this and opened it for him.
Teito entered that room and saw more visions...
Krom's autopsy for the Eye of Mikhail...
Pandora's box missing...taken by Antwort prior to the war...
Vanessa confessing to Krom of her crime of kidnapping his son...
Then Teito's mind was swarmed with visions of memories that he felt like his mind would explode. He did five more steps then he collapsed to the ground, crawling three more times before he entered in a coma.
Konatsu watched nervously seeing Teito go out like that. He gently kicked Teito in the ribs to make sure he was alright. But when Teito wasn't responding, he ran to Hyuuga who was waiting outside and told him that Teito was unconscious.
Hyuuga carried Teito while Konatsu ran ahead to get their transport ship. Millea saw her unconscious son and Hyuuga allowed her to come with them.
Konatsu is now standing in front of Ayanami as he demanded at the back of his desk. "What happened?"
Konatsu didn't hesitate to reply. "At first It was going well sir. We met Teito's mother and had a picnic with her then we entered the castle. I watched Teito walk around as if he was drunk. He reached a door and after I opened it for him, he collapsed."
"That explains why you had an extra passenger with you. Where is he now?" Ayanami demanded.
"In the infirmary sir. Hyuuga took him there and his mother and Mikage are watching over him as we speak."
Ayanami nodded. He stood up and he, Kuroyuri, and Konatsu left the office to head to the infirmary.
They entered and Millea was the first to notice as she politely requested. "Please be as quiet as you can. It took forever for Teito to go to sleep." She looked at her son who was mumbling and frowning while tossing his head around. "Poor dear. He mumbles out things in his sleep. I heard some of them but they don't seem to connect."
Ayanami nodded and leaned to listen to the mumblings...
"Shadow man...whispers thoughts of possession...alliance dissolved...Raggs war...king dead, refused to flee...son captured...remnants enslaved...Pandora's box...
Ayanami asked in a whisper. "What about it? Where is it?"
"Pandora's box...taken to Antwort...stolen time and time again...Antwort...Eye of Raphael...Eye of Mikhail...Verloren sealed..."
"Antwort..." Ayanami said in realization. "Konatsu, inform the Black Hawks that we are leaving now. Kuroyuri, you will inform Teito when he wakes up to come see me." They both saluted then did their assigned roles.
He looked at Millea. "You are Teito's mother correct?" She nodded. "I hope you can find a home for yourself somewhere in Barsburg. I'll let your son visit you when his schedule allows."
"Thank you sir." Millea replied then continued to stare at her son.
