This was not the first time Endymion had been knocked unconscious. Waking up in an unfamiliar situation was one of Kunzite's favorite training scenarios. Running through his mental checklist, Endymion begins with taking in his surroundings. "Make sure you don't give away that you're awake," Kunzite would say. "Figure out where you stand so you can take the first opportunity to get the upper hand." Endymion allows his head to remain lolled and takes stock of the rest of his body. His arms and legs are tied together with some kind of cord. He isn't sure what kind, however, as he has never felt anything like it before.

Straining his ears, he cannot hear anyone talking or moving around. Either whoever hit him is waiting for him to awaken, or they are up the small staircase he saw before he was knocked unconscious. Just as he was about to open his eyes and look around, Endymion feels a weight jump onto his lap. He opens his eyes to see a midnight black cat with a crescent moon bald spot looking up at him. The cat put their paws on his chest and then gives a quick lick to his nose.

"Well hello, kitty." He says, bemused at the little cat staring right into his eyes. He looks down and sees the cord he felt. Only, they weren't cords. His eyes track the length of silver hair wrapped around his body, around the floor of the room over rafters, all the way into a darkened corner.

"Who are you, and what do you want with me?" A high, lyrical voice calls out to him. First, he sees a pale and delicate foot peeking into the light. The body attached is just as pale and delicate as the foot. She is clothed in a white gossamer gown, a slit in the flowy layers showing her calf and just a hint of the knee. The skirt flares from the empire bodice that is covered in golden embroidery and beads, drawing his attention to her very lovely chest. Not wanting to appear as if he was fixated on her, admittedly, attractive body, Endymion trails his eyes up to her neck and looks into her crystal blue eyes.

"I said," The mysterious woman said, tightening her grip on a cast iron frying pan she is holding above and behind her shoulder, ready to use it on him if necessary. "Who are you, and what do you want with me?"

She walks towards him, stepping over her silver locks as she goes stilling holding her pan aloft. "That's quite a coincidence. You just 'pass by' an impossible to find tower." She stops in front of him and points her frying pan at his face. "Now answer my questions."

Endymion looks into her eyes and finds only determination staring back at him. It would be incredibly coincidental if this woman had anything to do with the plot against his father, but better safe than sorry. "My name is Mamoru," he responds. "And like I said, I came across your tower by accident. I heard you humming and thought you might need help."

She lowers her pan slightly and tilts her head slightly. "So you don't want my hair?"

Endymion looks straight into her eyes and says. "No, as lovely as your hair is, I don't want your hair." She gives him a nod. Lowering her frying pan, she jerks her hair, turning him suddenly to look at a fireplace. She walks over and pulls back a curtain. Behind it is the most beautiful painting he has ever seen.

"Do you know what these are?" She says to him. Her lips set in a thin line, as if she was giving him a test.

"You mean Serenity's Tears?" She squints her eyes at him and furrows her brow. Taking that to mean she doesn't know the story, Endymion explains. "They are falling lights that are sent down to Elysium from the moon. They are called Serenity's Tears because Queen Selene sends them down to Earth to light her lost daughter's way back to her." The mysterious woman looks up at the painting for a moment, then brings her eyes back to his.

"You said you climbed my tower to see if I needed any help." Endymion nods. "What if I said I do need your help?"

Endymion looks around the room again. "Is someone holding you here against your will?"

The woman shook her head vigorously. "No, nothing like that. Tomorrow, Serenity's Tears will fall to the Earth, and I need you to take me there and then bring me back home, safely."

Endymion raises an eyebrow at her. "Listen, what's your name?"

"Usagi," she says.

"Usagi, I'd be more than happy to help you out. But, I'm on a very important errand. How about you let me go, and I will swing by for you on my way back."

This time Usagi laughs. "Right, you'll 'come back for me'." Usagi walks over to him and leans down, placing her hands over his wrists. Endymion tries and fails, not to catch a quick glance at the view before him before bringing his eyes back up. "Listen, Mamoru, this is something I have been wanting to see my entire life. And then fate drops you into my lap and I am not letting you go without me." Endymion opens his mouth to respond and Usagi puts her hand up to stop him. "How long will this errand take you to complete?"

Endymion flexes his fingers, pursing his lips to consider his answer. Unable to see a way out of this situation he replies with a sigh, "If I have no delays, I should be able to arrive at my destination before the sun falls."

Usagi pulls herself up and starts bouncing on the balls of her feet, clapping her hands in joy. "Perfect!" She exclaims. "I will join you on this errand, then you will take me to see the lights before returning me home safely." Usagi begins to untangle him from her hair. As she works, she looks up to him and says "And just so you don't get any funny ideas, I will be holding onto your delivery until we arrive." She pulls the last of her hair away, and Endymion stands and rubs his wrists.

"Very well," he replies before walking over to the window. "I don't suppose you know a way out of this tower that doesn't involve climbing using daggers do you?"

Usagi smirks at him as she gathers her hair into her arms. "As a matter of fact," she says, "I do."
