RYFAM Decision Made – Smackle Makes A New Decision

It had been nearly four months since Farkle, Lucas, and Missy had chosen to not be friends with Maya, Riley, and Smackle. They had told Farkle only when Smackle forgives him will they ever consider being friends again. It was all up to Smackle to determine what Farkle had to do to get a chance to get the girls' friendship back.

And the opportunity to have a chance to get Smackle to consider the girls' friendships returning happened over Spring Break of their Senior year in High School. With Maya and Riley now her closest friends, she had become more outgoing and personable. She actually spent more time with Maya and Riley, and she joined a few school clubs of which Farkle was not a member.

One day she sat at the Bay Window with Maya and Riley and casually mentioned she thought she was ready to date someone. Maya and Riley immediately stopped what they were doing and gave her their full attention. She felt safe with sharing her secret with them. She corrected herself: "Actually, I don't mean date someone; I mean have sex with them."

Maya and Riley looked at each other in surprise, and they turned to Smackle and they both asked at the same time: "Who?" Maya followed up the question: "Smackle, neither Farkle nor Lucas is our friends anymore. Who do you want to have sex with? You know both Riley and I are available to you, so who is it?" Riley then asked: "Is the person female or male?" Smackle answered: "The person is male and does not attend our High School. In fact, he is very much older than we are."

Maya and Riley looked at each other again, this time with wide eyes and open mouths. Riley shook her head to clear her thoughts and asked: "Is it one of our teachers?" Smackle shook her head No. Maya reminded Riley that Smackle had said the person did not attend their high school. Riley made an embarrassed smile: "Oh, right, not our school." She immediately followed up: "Then Einstein Academy perhaps?" Smackle shook her head No again.

Smackle just continued with her rambling thoughts, out loud this time: "I have to ask Farkle to help me. But the person isn't Farkle. If Farkle assists me, then maybe I will determine whether we can consider enjoying his company again. But all three of us have to agree then."

Maya and Riley listened to Smackle's rambling, without having a clue why she was saying what she was saying. They just stared at her. Finally, Riley asked: "Smackle, darling, what are you saying, how can Farkle help you?"

Riley's words brought Smackle back to reality, and she just smiled at the other two. As if she didn't realize that she had shared her thoughts with the other two. Suddenly, she became aware she had spoken out loud, and she blushed red. She was so embarrassed that she had almost told them with whom she wanted to have sex.

Smackle apologized to Maya and Riley, and both girls just smiled back to her: "It's OK Smackle, we won't pry into your thoughts until you are ready to tell us what is going on in your head. But we are concerned."

Smackle stood up and said she had to leave. Everyone kissed each other and walked her to the door. When she left, Maya looked at Riley: "Honey, what just happened to our Smackle?" Riley hugged Maya: "I have no idea what just happened, but we have to do whatever we can to be sure she is alright. We'll check in on her later tonight."

Maya hugged Riley this time: "Well, obviously, she has some major decision to make."
