Chapter 5
The Blade Cafe
Marinette walked out of the Bakery and walked down the sidewalk on a warm Saturday morning.
"Now, let's see", said Marinette. "I need these colours. Hm, hope they have a special on". Marinette then stopped and looked at the building she was next to. It read 'Blade Cafe'. Then she remembered what Kitt had said. She opened the door and saw Kitt working in the sink.
"Hey Kitt" she said. Kitt was surprised, he didn't expect this.
"Oh, hello Marinette" he said.
"So, this is your cafe?", she asked. "Gotta say, I was expecting more of a martial arts school".
"Nah, that's my uncle Micky, I leaned Kendo from him ever since I was a little kid" answered Kitt.
"I guess that's why you use 'X-Sabers' and not something like 'Madolche'?" Asked Marinette.
"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeep", said Kitt popping the 'p'. "Well, I gotta get back to work, see you at school".
"See ya" said Marinette as she walked out. She then heard her phone ping. She looked at it and it was from Alya. She scowled and simple pressed ignore. She didn't even deserve the look.
Later that day, Marinette decided to go to the Blade Cafe to grab a bite to eat. And out of curiosity, she tried the chocolate cake and it was delicious. She later met Kitt's mom and dad. And Kitt got his looks from his mom. She has the same spiky hair as Kitt, but he got his energy from his father. That guy was running like an athlete. And according to Kitt, he was back in high school.
Personality wise, Kitt's dad was an exact copy of him, only he was more controlled. Kitt's mom was as sweet as an angel, but man, she could be manipulative some times.
Marinette then wondered. 'I wonder how my old class is doing? Nah, screw them'.
