Chapter 5

Liyue Harbor

The next morning, Starlight started heading towards Liyue Harbor. When she arrived, she was startled to see a Millelith stop her in her tracks.

"Halt! We don't let trespassers in!" said a Millelith solider.

"State your business!" said a second Millelith solider.

Starlight was unsure of what was happening at that moment. She didn't know what to say. Then someone came walking up to the three.

"Excuse me Millelith soldiers but can't you see this is Lady Ninnguang's invited guest." he said lightly.

"Pardon us sir but we weren't aware of Lady Ninnguang's invited guest arriving." said the first Millelith solider.

"You should be ashamed of yourself for holding back Lady Ninnguang's guest. You know how she doesn't like her guests to arrive late, isn't that right?"

The unfamiliar male signaled Starlight to play along. Getting the message, she played along.

"That's right. Now if you don't release me this instant, I will report to Lady Ninnguang saying how you both were keeping her waiting by holding back the arrival of her invited guest." Starlight said. She looked up at the unfamiliar male with uncertainty. He just winked at her.

"Of course. We're very sorry, miss. You may pass." the second Millelith solider said.

"I will escort the invited guest to Lady Ninnguang. You both have a wonderful day." The unfamiliar male waved to the soldiers and escorted Starlight deeper into Liyue Harbor, out of the Millelith's sight.

"You weren't bad at acting back there." he said.

"Really?" Starlight said.

"Yep. Almost as good as me."

They both chuckle.

"Thank you um..."

"Childe. Call me Childe." Childe said.

"Thank you Childe for helping me out." Starlight said.

"It was no pressure." Childe said.

"So, this is Liyue." Starlight said as she looked all around her to see the surroundings of Liyue Harbor.

"Yep. Liyue Harbor. Never been here before?" Childe asked her.

"No. I haven't." Starlight answered, looking at Childe.

"I can give you a tour of Liyue Harbor." Childe offered.

"Really? That would be great!" Starlight said.

So Childe showed Starlight around Liyue. It was sundown once they returned back to the heart of Liyue.

"Liyue is so beautiful." Starlight said.

"It is. Especially around this time of day. It makes the harbor even more vibrant." Childe agreed.

"Well, looks like the day is done. If you need anything else, I'll be around."

"Okay. Thanks again Childe!" Starlight said as she saw Childe start to walk away.

"No problem!" Childe called over his shoulder.

Starlight looked back at the sunset, a happy smile on her face.
